20th Century Boy: Donovan
Love Removal Machine: A.J. Popoff, Billy Duffy
Jailbreak: A.J. Popoff, Billy Duffy
Brass In Pocket: Gina Gershon
God Save The Queen: Billy Morrison, Steve Jones
Queen Bitch: Gina Gershon, Billy Duffy
Cat Scratch Fever: Janie Lane
Man In The Box: Janie Lane
Whole Lotta Love: Pink
Crackerman: Scott Weiland
Roadhouse Blues: Scott Weiland, Billy Duffy
Suffragette City: Donovan, Steve Jones, Ronnie Vannucci (The Killers drummer)
I Wanna Be Your Dog: Everyone
1. Any more TV stuff in the works for you or things we could be on the look out for?
No, not really right now. The rest of this year is really about finishing the TPC album and setting up for 2006.
2. Are the proceeds for paperback going to Musicians Assistance Program, as the hardcover's did?
Yes, they are.
3. Seen any good movies from Netflix lately?
Yes. Dig! It's a documentary about The Brian Jonestown Massacre and the Dandy Warhols. It is an incredible "must see".
4. TPC is progressing, with the individuals laying down their parts separately. How do you avoid losing the vibe/groove that you get actually standing there playing the song with your comrades?
It certainly isn't ideal, but the bottom line is that it has to get done.
5. Do you prefer playing with Camp Freddy, or with The Panic Channel, and why?
It's two different animals. CF is all about fun and there is no emotional investment in the songs as we didn't write them. TPC is more creative and personal. I love both for different reasons.
6. If you could change one thing that has happened in your life what would it be?
I have been asked this a lot and the truth is that I wouldn't really change anything. It's all part of where I am now. Well, maybe I wish I hadn't started smoking, but that's about it.
7. Do you think TPC will be available before Christmas?
The record will not be out by then but I am hoping for a track or two to be uploaded.
8. Did you give JD any advice/insight, etc... from your RHCP days?
We definitely spoke about what it is like walking into something that has a huge past. The similarities of replacing an earlier member. I just said, some will love you, some will hate you, but it's all good and you need to just take opportunities when they come and not attach yourself to the opinions of others either way. Do it because you love it and that's it.
9. How is Janie doing? I watched Celebrity Fit Club and he was going through some rough stuff on there.
He is doing really well and is still on track with his training and new life.
10. Hi Dave are you ever going to do another solo album?
I'd like to, but first things first.

Wow, looks like a great show Dave. How IS Janie anyway? I was worried about him after seeing him on that show for overweight celebs on VH1. Hope he is doing well.

thanks for this answer, guess i'll just keep been there, i've been doing it for a few years now... just hope this stops before it gets more damadgefull...
goodness you are a good person, three years is a long time. also, i have been there..not for a solid three years as a girlfriend role..more like on/off again girlfriend, but all time friend. it is tough. but i also think that you should take care of yourself..you can't live for someone else. eventually you will reach your breaking point..just the fact that you have stayed so long shows how much you love him, so i hope he comes to his senses before you have had your fill. good luck.
Gina Gershon
--as in the actress?! with the sexy lips? soo..how does she sound? i would never have thought of her as a singer.
Posted by: Heather at October 23, 2005 04:59 PM
kinda disgraceful to layne stayley to have janie lane sing an alice song after all trash he talked in the media and on stage.
Posted by: chris at October 23, 2005 05:04 PM
"Gina Gershon
--as in the actress?! with the sexy lips? soo..how does she sound? i would never have thought of her as a singer."
Gina is a fantastic singer, she's played with CF many times before. I saw her in NYC with Camp Freddy last October. She performed "Feel Like Makin' Love" with Jerry Cantrell.
Gina played a musician and performed in the movie "Prey for Rock & Roll" alonside Dre De Matteo, who was also excellent playing a musician.
Gina also performed in the IFC series called "Rocked", which was a documentary series about touring with her band.
Gina actually sounds a lot like Chrissie Hynde. Gina is one of those rare actresses who can acually do both.....be a damn good actress and be a real rock musician.

Hi Heather, guess we are in a lot like situation... i've been on and off too but always together ;) they (my bf and my best friend) have been with me in my worst moments, so i can't just leave them now they are in a bad moment, i wish this weren't happening to both of them at the same time, but what can i do... some times i kind of break out, but i put myself together after that.. i've been living the life and going on and is sad that they haven't been living it with me, is like they got stuck in a part of their life that should be over a long time ago... don't know if you get me... but, well, just keep on ......
Posted by: Marivic at October 23, 2005 06:52 PM
Wow... Pink, Jani Lane, Dave Navarro, and Gina Gershon, all on the SAME stage? You gotta love Camp Freddy. You never know who's going to pop up. :)
I hope you bring the whole peanut gallery to NY one day. We miss you very much!
Amyway, Happy Sunday evening, everyone. I hope you are all well.

(Gina played a musician and performed in the movie "Prey for Rock & Roll" )
--i will have to look for this movie. thanks for the info..i will have to check her out.
Hi,Marivic! in my situation, he finally did get clean from drugs and from a while everything else. but eventually he started drinking and it got out of control, so i packed up my almost 2 year old and left. my daughter is 5 now, my ex is in jail. i have to say i learned a lot..about me, about others. i have done drugs before, but i never had the addictions that he did. there were some drugs i liked much better than others and probably did abuse..but not to the same extent. i will be thinking about you and i like i said before i hope they wake up soon. i spent 10 years before i had enough. maybe you won't have to.
"is like they got stuck in a part of their life that should be over a long time ago."
--that tends to happen to us all. we do get out of it eventually. hang in there!

Just got back from the Drs - they have a new one who is more alternative than the rest. Wahoooooooooooooooooo - acupunctured my back and I can actually stand up again at the moment. Also gave me a weaker dose of diazepam which I can take during the day to get rid of the whole spasm thing - only trouble is I just put it down on the counter at the next shop and forgot to pick it back up! Doh!!! Guess I'll be going back out in the torrential rain again then - I obviously didn't get wet enough last time.
LostBoy - forgot to mention, dependent on kids turning up the sweets are all yours but you kind of have to come to the UK to get them. Is that a problem? ;-)
Posted by: Miffy at October 24, 2005 02:49 AM
Totally unrelated to here and probably only of use to UK people - I just got a free Gromit mug (as in Wallace & Gromit) with my PG tips t-bags and his nose really does turn red when you put hot drinks in & turns back to brown when it's gone cold! It's mega!!!!
I will admit to being very easily amused ;-)

Any plans on doing a concert with CF for TV? That is about the only way a bunch of us will ever get a chance to see you!

What, no Uncle Jerry at the Empire? Get any table time in? If so, hope you won big!
Dave, please post photobooth tour information as soon as you can, we need to plan here in NY…also, do you have the video of you playing Rexall with Jerome on Leno? Please put it up in 6767TV if you can.
One more: Release date yet on RS:INXS DVD?
Have a great day everyone, stay safe in Wilma’s path…
10 days to NIN...

Wow, what a picture. My favorite singer of all time with my fav guitarist of all time. If that pic doesn't say "Rock and Roll" with two capital R's, I don't know what does. I can only hope to see you both onstage together one day. Yep, that'd just about do it for me.
Posted by: Lyn at October 24, 2005 07:20 AM
My brother's birthday present just arrived - the John Peel tribute album. As it will be ages until I see it again once he has it I've done what every good sister should do and downloaded it to my Ipod before he gets it! I'm just flicking through the tracks now - there are some amazing tunes on it. That man certainly knew his music - ranges from Lonnie Donegan to The Clash, T-Rex, Van Morrison, Pulp,The Ramones and beyond. Some VERY moody tracks on there - can't wait to hear it in full (currently chilling out to The Faces - Stay With Me).
That is me signing off for the week - it's my birthday in 2 days and my mum and dad are visiting with my 5 year old niece for the week. I haven't seen her in 6 months and can't wait - I get to be even more in touch with my inner child than normal! Hope you all have a good one and stay Wilma free x
ps just realised how ironic that is - I'm listening to Stay With Me just as I leave ;-)

I have a suggestion for the cancelled TPC show. Reschedule for New Years'Eve, the Key Club or the El Rey, and combine both a Camp Freddy show with a TPC show. Limit the tics to only 6767 and CF folks, or at least let us have first grabs before issuance to the masses through this site and the board. Charge $30.00 a pop, all ages, and all proceeds go to the Red Cross. I would be SO there. Best of both worlds show!!!
Posted by: Lyn at October 24, 2005 07:42 PM
okay now i really LOVE you dave! you answered my question. i asked you because i often have been asked that too..and on most days i wouldn't change anything because my experiences--bad and good-- have made me who i am. i do say on most days. :) (question #6) so i was curious as to what someone else would say. all of the people that ask me would change things.
have a good time miffy!
by the way guys i finally saw that alcohol ad that has 'Jane Says' playing. i thought it was done in good taste. it didn't make me want to go grab some alcohol..it made me go grab my Jane's cd and listen to that song. (which is one of my favorites) oh--and i was watching gone in 60 seconds on tv last night...i forgot that 'Been caught Stealing' was on that movie. i had Jane's all over the tv yesterday, it was awesome!
Posted by: Heather at October 24, 2005 08:21 PM
They also played "Been Caught Stealing", on the first episode of "My Name Is Earl". That made me smile.

I was having not so good a day today, someone stole my gas cap, and my engine light came on. I took my last ten bucks and I walked into this autopart store, all bedraggled and stuff. They only had one in stock that fit my car, and it was 5 dollars more than I had. I started tearing up, and went to walk away, and this sweet boy said, I'll sell it to you for ten bucks.
I know, stupid story, means nothing to nobody but me, but, as he was ringing me up, Jane SAYS came on the radio in the store.

Hey Dave, I just recently have become a really big fan of yours (probbly hear that all the time, but what is one more? hehe) and I just love your music and everything. Your rather insperational to me and you seem really down to earth.Theres not many left out there it seems, that are like that any more. Keep up the great work. But I had a question. On your downloads section the video: "In The Studio: She Won't Last" What song is that you are playing?? I have heard it before but I dont know where, and its driving me a little nuts that I cant figure it out. Can you please, please tell me?

Do you have a list or a mental list of things you would like to accomplish that you haven't yet? Maybe even things you wanted to do as a child that you haven't done? You've done a lot, but wondered if you've still got some things in mind you would like to do.
Also, do you think you will tour once the Album is done or have you all began trying to set up a few places to play next year sometime to promote it?

"lyn, surely you'll be there, right?"
Oh yes, Steelkitten, I was there, but I have quite the interesting story to tell. Speaking of drunks, I was lucky enough to be pushed by one and now today I have to have plastic surgery! Spent some 6 hours or so at the hospital, haven't been to sleep yet, and my face is distorted seemingly beyond repair. But I must give kudos to Mr. Morello for being so gracious and stopping by to say Howdy as I layed on the ambulance guerney. As well as Jared Leto. Very cool guys, both of them. Hey, anything to get backstage, right? LOL. Ouch, it hurts to laugh.

Hey to any Australians out there tonight, the very handsome Dave Navarro is on Celebrity Poker Showdown on Fox108.
I have heard so much about it, and finally I get to view it, and can I just say it is indeed mighty fine viewing!!
Dave you have me transfixed! You've just won yourself a 23,000 pot!

OH LYN!!! That is quite and interesting story! I got pushed down once as well but no surgery for me! I was standing next to the 6 or so punk boys who had their own little mosh pit going on. I just don't understand how that is fun. I actually thought at one point that i might have seen you but i wasn't sure. The show fucking rocked! I will definately be at every Audioslave show that comes to Atlanta. I love you Chris Cornell! (but not as much as Dave! lol)

Dave-
I was thinking of doing an arrangement of Summertime Rolls with my band, but I can't figure out what key it's in to come up with a fitting chord progression. If you or anyother 6767er could help me I'd be very greatful. Thanks

Dave, did you ever play those songs live with the rhcp: tearjerker, one hot minute and falling into grace. it seems those are the 3 only songs out of the OHM album that you guys never did live.

What are the chances of getting Chris Cornell or Chris Hall (ex-Stabbing Westward, current The Dreaming) to join camp freddy for an show or two?
