Aw, man! Of all the nights to miss CFR!!

Now, pardon my ignorance, but how do you view webcasts for CFR? I've figured out that I CAN listen live via Winamp. Does the video portion come through as well?

TIA for any advice anyone can give. :)

The irony is that I view boring-ass webcasts all the time at work using Windows Media, but I can't get the GOOD stuff to work at home. :P Blech.

Anyhow, I wish you all a very happy Sunday. Finally, no rain!

Love,
Denise

Dave I have a question...

What is your opinion on Richard Patrick's new band, Army of Anyone, featuring STP's Robert and Dean Deleo as well as David Lee Roth Band's Ray Luzier?

So, this morning b4 work I lay in my bed and thought of Dave's moon and Billy in that black suit (shout out 2 wendybirdpics@aol.com) and couldn't help but touch myself. Is the webcast to blame 4 the fantasy?----smiles and O's... Here's 2 an actual topless shoulder massage! lol

So I am listening to the rebroadcast and I heard TK say, "That girl calls every week and says some random thing." What? Dave, when I was at the Green Day show with my friend waiting for the show I called last week and told you and Carmen it was 2 hot w/u2 and I had 2 put the phone down. Plus, last year I told you and the other "Rock Gods NOT 2 jam w/Nick L". :) I love Camp Freddy radio!! Rock On! ---peace, ck ---ps- after I called I had gone under the Pasadena bridge and lost transmission with you guys!!!

Posted by: Carly at October 16, 2005 05:21 PM

Enjoyed the CFR broadcast last night in my car on my way to the HOB.It seems half the callers have no idea who they called - very funny.
Watched JD perform at the HOB with an abbreviated INXS, thought he did quite well. Saw Suzi there as well.
Did you figure out how much money was raised for Hurricane relief from the CF concert at the Key Club?

Posted by: beth at October 16, 2005 06:14 PM

HEY, when dave do the live webcast, where are we supossed to see it? i want to know to be aware the next time...

DAVE, who would you like to see in a live performance that u haven´t seen yet? and who would yo like to meet?

----Plus, on the Ozzy show, you had me do a "Sport Chalet." So what was TK speaking about?!! peace, ck Hi 2 all the sexy sixty 7's!!!!!!!

Posted by: Carly at October 16, 2005 07:18 PM

The funny thing about the the guessing of the Carmen song is during her singing Carmen actually says in the song "my name is Carmen Electra", and the first 2 callers didn't get it. Funny shit.

Hiya Carly and everyone. :)

good grief, i really do miss everything. i missed seeing a picture of mr. navarro's rear end? now that would have been a hell of a way to get over my horrible anatomy test on friday. too bad i was at work. did you say the webcast will be available on radio 67? like the whole thing?

wendybird--do you have more pictures yet?

Posted by: Heather at October 16, 2005 08:40 PM

May I just say that by the way the ladies reacted to the last broadcast (mainly the nudity) video stream, it would be great if it were a regular occurrence for the show.

How about bringing some of the local TPC ladies in studio with ya?

Posted by: divinehour at October 16, 2005 08:44 PM

I'm crackin' I missed the live feed because I spent the whole night waiting for JORDIS UNGA to sing the national anthem on "The Contender."

I'm crackin' over the whole hummer episode...U drive like a girl, DAVE! Nice job with Mr. Rogers....you sing it well.

Dave - you have the most superb sense of humor!

BRAVO 4 c.f.radio!!

Posted by: sextrain67 at October 16, 2005 09:57 PM

I was reacting to Dave and Billy smiling and laughing, that's nice to see.

Posted by: ylais at October 16, 2005 10:13 PM

I can't believe I missed the webcast again! Even worse, I missed it because I was flat on my back for the last 3 days (and NOT in a good way)! My back is in total spasm and I can't stand up - seeing the moon over LA would have made me feel so much better! Me thinks that pictures need to be shown to make up for it?

Anyway, while lying on the floor I managed to devise 10 questions for Mr Navarro that have been going through my head for a while so here goes:-

1. Who is your ultimate guitar hero(yourself excluded)? (personally I believe that Clapton IS God - not on vinyl but that man invokes emotions that I didn't know I had when he is live - I don't hear the guitar speak so much as feel it)

2. At what point did you realise you were in love with Carmen and when did you know you wanted to spend the rest of your life with her? Was this a sudden realisation or something that just kind of grew over time?

3. I was re-watching RSInxs over the weekend - do you know how to do up buttons?!? (not that I'm complaining!)

4. How do you stop your ego getting out of control when you read all the flattering comments about you on sites like this? How do you keep your feet on the ground? (& I'm guessing you do as you don't come across as overly arrogant or big headed)

5. What is the one question (if any) that you get most fed up with answering?

6. What is the one question you would like to be asked or that you would ask yourself if you had the chance? (not sure that makes sense!) And what is the answer?

7. Does Lost get better with time? We are about half way through series 1 here in the UK and I must admit to getting a bit bored with it - just wondering whether it is worth persevering?

8. It's my birthday on 26th - just wondering what you are going to get me??? (answer is vital as I want to ensure that no-one else gets me the same!) ;-)

9. How can I fix my back? I'm in absolute agony at the moment and my Tens machine just isn't touching it. Used to take diazepam to fix it (or at least fall asleep so I didn't feel it!) but can't take anything at the moment as I am going through a course of hormone tests for my PCOS (which causes the back problem) and other meds will interfere. I know this question has nothing to do with your music and you are not a dr etc but am now so desperate that I will take advice from anyone!!!!

10. If only Smarties have the answer - what is the question????????????????????? ;-)

Posted by: Miffy at October 17, 2005 01:48 AM

Again thanks for the webcast...and for not hanging up on me too fast the other night, even though I was a complete tool.

I was just reacting to the moment.I had come home from work...jumped on the pc and ten minutes later...Dave and Billy are stripping!

WHOA!

The bad thing about the webcast is...the radiostream is about two minutes behind the webcast and we didn't know WHY you were taking your pants off! Oh, and tell Billy to stand on his tiptoes next time. There's this console box thingie keeping us from getting a full view.

The whole thing was awesome, though!

Hope you feel better Miffy and Helena!
Take care everyone,

DAVE: How much did CF raise at the Key Club for Katrina Victims? I saw a segment on Extra w/ McGrath. They showed footage from the show backstage and onstage. He said you guys raised "hundreds of thousands of dollars" for the Red Cross. This true?! He also said CF's debut album will be hitting stores "very soon"...any word on that?

Posted by: Ambersonian at October 17, 2005 02:10 PM

Very soon! Awesome. I also am the 1 who called you on CFR Dave during the summer and told you 2 put some of the radio show on the album. Random?? Come on, TK. ;) ---peace, ck. ps that is so cool how much our boys raised! rock on

If anyone wants to see any screen shots of the cam deal from CFR --some posted pictures over on The Panic Community web site. Under the "Camp Freddy Chat Rocked" sexion..heh There is a nice partial nude of Dave there. And some regular ones--and some with Billy in them also. Some are a little blurry but hey, it's all good. ;)
Have a great night all!

Well good news sort of. The Doc said it looks like I am having an allergic reation to a bug bite or I came in contact with something I am allergic too. They took some blood to make sure it isn't chicken pox. While he was telling me it probably isn't chicken pox he tells me that 20% of adults who get chicken pox die from it. Geeze that reassuring. So I will let you guys know what they tell me tomorrow. Thanks you guys for the warm wishes. :)

Posted by: Helena at October 17, 2005 03:57 PM

Dave-did you get any of the albums I recommended? You need to hear Phish's Carini. It was their last song as a band, and something you guys could cover....if you wont hear me out hear Trey out! Oh, and dont believe the florist when he tells you that the roses are free...Dont ya just love that album?

Do something nice for Courtney for me...thats something I wish I could do. Live Through This was a monumental album, ever listen to it?

Helena, I had chicken pox a few years back (no, I'm not telling how many!) and I'm still alive and kicking! I was in my 30's.

By the way, chicken pox looks very different from an allergic reaction. Mine was little watery-like blisters. I had a lot of moms coming up to me and saying "do you have chicken pox?" Faster than a blood test and cheaper too!

Hope you get better soon!

Oh, and the "Pretty Vegas" premiere was such a rip-off! They showed about 15 seconds of it! Grrr....

DAVE! Camp Freddy Radio is so fuc*in' funny! Love to listen....the Hummer "incedent." tooooo funny!

Hey, give JordisUnga.org a shout out next time...would love to hear her on your show. I know you were partial to "Sweet Suzy McNeil" but we love Jordis and are missing her smoky, sexy voice....ok, btw I'm a girl...nothing too sexual about that comment?! I think.

Posted by: jbsbduck68 at October 17, 2005 07:40 PM

Wait a minute! You can only get Chicken Pox once.
You can't get it twice. If you've had it, you are then immune to getting it again.
But, you can get Shingles later from having
Chicken Pox. 20% adults dying from Chicken Pox seems a little high there. Oo
Is your Dr. loosing it?

Posted by: ylais at October 17, 2005 07:58 PM

Dave C. here says it's possible to get it more than once, but it's so fecking extremely rare.

So we're having a little discussion. :D

Hello all, can anyone lead me in direction of Billy's blog? I would like to check it out.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone! : )

Posted by: Adriana at October 17, 2005 08:45 PM

Ylais,
Okay do I have to get technical on this?
Here we go, Once you have chickenpox, you are considered immune, you will not have a serious infection again, but you may have a mild infection (called a breakthrough infection). Generally, if the virus becomes active again, it will not result in chickenpox but can cause shingles.

Also I found a more accurate figure which is, about 20 to 30 out of every 10,000 adults who develop chicken pox require hospitalization.

My post earlier is just what the doc told me. Hope this clears up a bit.

My goddaughter managed to get chicken pox twice - from memory it was because she didn't have very many spots the first time and it wasn't enough to give her full immunity.

With any luck it's "just" an allergic reaction and those anti-histamines hit quickly for you Helena.

Checked with my nutritionist yesterday and diazepam won't interfere with my tests so spent a very enjoyable afternoon and evening totally unconscious! And, joy of joys, I can actually stand up for more than 10 seconds today! Wahooooooo! Another couple of days of softly softly treatment and a week out of the gym (@*@"£@**!!! Had just started getting back on track!) and I should be ok for another 3 weeks. Unfortunately, I know this is going to hit again next month but at least that will be the last one and I can get back on my normal supplements/nutrition treatment and make it all go away again :-) (pictures of the moon will definitely help make the process easier though - promise)

Posted by: Miffy at October 18, 2005 01:59 AM

I just spent forever downloading the Podcast (belated I know but I've not been well) and was listening to the broadcast - for some reason it stops dead after the Sports Chalet jingle bit (?) - anybody got any clues why I can't get the rest of it?

BTW - I haven't laughed that much in a long time - it was actually painful!

Why is DN surprised that his Hummer didn't have a scratch??? It's a bit like taking a sledgehammer to a nut and noticing that the sledgehammer doesn't get marked!

I'm now desperate to hear the rest so any help gratefully appreciated x

Posted by: Miffy at October 18, 2005 06:56 AM

I definitely got chicken pox twice! Once when I was two and again 32 years later when I was corraling a group of 6-year-olds through my store. I worked at a nutrition store and it was National Nutrition week or something. I didn't even touch them!

I've also been told you can't get measles more than twice, but I had them four times.

Basic biology lesson....your body builds up immunity by creating markers on antibody cells for the disease....if you don't create enough antibody cells, the disease can still invade your body, give you symptoms until the disease cells runs into antibodies that can destroy it.

That's what happened to me...I broke out with chicken pox...then all of a sudden, it just stopped!

Posted by: gypsyfenix at October 18, 2005 07:42 AM

Hi all, wanted to check in and see how ya'll are. I have been sober three weeks...and you are right everyone, it is getting a little easier, I have FINALLY stopped sweating like a piglet! Yay! No more stinkiness! (How attractive!) Also, I am in a lot of physical pain, but my mind is super sharp and I feel clear headed and wake up 8 am each morning, wow...strange for me.

My nephew Charlie is on my lap and wants me to give Dave a message. He is 4 and into numbers and noticed the numbers on the website "6767", so here goes his message (he is so damn cute! He is dictating!)

"Dear Dave, I liked you on Rockstar, I really liked Mr. Brightside, too (I think he means Marty!) and I like "We will Rock You" and your 6767 numbers. I like the number (?) w and z and x and a and 4" I will make you a picture with numbers (I will scan this for you all, LOL).

Be good! from Charlie"

Seriously, be good! I am so grateful to you guys!

Love you!
