Podcast

As a result of the 40-hour live telethon fundraiser to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina, Indie 103.1 FM has raised over $61,000.00!

The new CFR is now loaded on the Panic Radio and is also available for Podcast. Just click the XML on this page and copy the URL into iTunes using the Advanced menu bar.

What else can I tell you? I am getting ready to go down and tape Tuesday's episode of Rockstar with the remaining four singers. They each get to do two songs again and they have another great selection to choose from. I found out yesterday that Sasha Krivtsov, the House Band bass player, is a pretty rad artist. You can check out some of his work here. His stuff is kind of like Picasso meets Bacon. I don't know how he'd feel about the comparison, but it's a compliment as far as I am concerned.

Good Morning all, Oh my am I 1st?

Hey Dave and All,
I think it is great to see alot of people helping out others. So many people have stepped up to help the Katrina survivors, and it amazes me at times. But then I think well why can't others always try to help others?, not just in emergencies. But I think it is great.

Looks like I might be staying in NJ longer than a month, I will be my father's caregiver. Really not looking foward to being away from my husband this long but I have to. Thank you all for your prayers and wishes I really do appreciate it. Talk to you all later.

Dave & DN Family,

Hey it's a football Sunday! Thank goodness for that. Football gives me a reason to call my Dad about 10 times on Sunday to yell and scream about our NY Giants.

Question for Sunday 10:
Everyone knows that you play poker. ¿Have you ever bet on sports? ¿Super Bowl?

Good morning Everyone!!!

Thanks for Sasha's link Dave. I tell yah the show just keeps getting better and better. I know everyone has been saying it but
I am going to suffer from serious withdrawls!!!
A few days ago somebody asked you what you would want to ask your fans. Seeing as it IS sunday and the Sunday 10 have been sparatic (we know you are busy) maybe you could finally answer (or would you be asking?) the question. Inquiring minds would love to know!
A shout out to the ever growing number of Canadains on here!

Good Morning Dave and all-

Yes-I think that was me that asked the question.
*If you could ask your fans a question, what would it be?"* I guess I'm curious if he thinks we're all loonies. Ok, well, maybe just me..hehe
I think it would be interesting to find out what's going through his mind about us at times.
We're always asking him questions, thought it would be fun to turn the tables a bit. :)
Looking forward to the show tonight.
I can't believe it's almost over already, seems like just yesterday it started!
Well, Have a great day all!

That's wonderful that so much money was raised for the hurricane victims. Hopefully the healing process has begun.

Helena - Best of luck to you and your father.

Dave, I'd like to hear your take on the definition, or significance of 'Goth' in general. It is a subculture that is so multifarious, and theres alot of people who will give you varied explanations, including why it has taken on such a commercialized form, in a sense. Do you/ have you ever considered yourself part of the subculture itself?

What do you like better touring or studio work?

That artwork is amazing! Except, I had this one really old prof in university who taught engineering physics, and his name was Sasha Koustov, and I was thinking about him when I was looking at those pictures and the erotica really creeped me out.

No need to delete this one, not that the other one was so bad, but i have a legit question for dave navarro king of comebacks. i mean no harm. naturally your my last choice of person to ask this to but who else is there? theyre either doing something worthwhile, not presenting feebly veiled adverts and wiling away the hours on an ego site, or they have a selective memory disorder preventing them from rembering how the hell they got to 2005. so anyways what i was just wondering was if you cared to share any details of the best of Jane's Addiction album and any other upcoming debt relieving releases. id be much obliged.

Posted by: molly at September 11, 2005 04:33 PM

Wow, Dave, that is fantastic!

I have been a part of two fundraisers and my hubby's radio station had one also. The one for the station raised about $5,000 - which isn't bad for only a 2 hour fundraiser. Half the money was going directly to the Red Cross Katrina fund - the other half was being used to help the 9 families that have found refuge in our community. There are several more going on to help them - but just 30 miles away, 300 more have come for refuge. One restaurant, the servers donated their tips for the day and raised close to $3,000 - and as many can attest too, servers often live off their tips.

So, was there any drama this week? What is the house like with just the four? The VH1 episode is on in 20 minutes. Think I will bid you a fond good night . . .

Always,
me

After watching tonights episode, I have update my prediction. I think that JD is the best fit for the band with MARTY being 2nd.

JD has the best writing talent, his personality comes across when his onstage and has the "edge" that they are looking for.

MIG was a good fit until he told them about all of his Musical Theater experience. It looked like it turned INXS against him. It was the same reason they let TY go.

SUZIE has the best voice but comes across as being too overwhelmed for the job. I don't know
if she can handle the pressure.

MARTY has a good vision of where the band could go with him in it, but his voice may be too dark for them.

¿What does the rest of the 6767 family think?

Later,
Mike from NYC

Posted by: Mike from NYC at September 11, 2005 05:40 PM

I meant "updated"....sorry

Posted by: Mike from NYC at September 11, 2005 05:41 PM

Hi Mike,

But didn't the band ALSO question JD's personality and how he might *really* behave within the context of actually working with them??

Didn't they question if his "edge" might be too much? Not their exact words, but close.

I'd be scared to work with him, he comes across as very sneaky. INXS are too old for that nonsense, they shouldn't have to baby-sit anyone.

Mig might not have the "edge" they want, though is he a professional. Mig comes across as extremely trustworthy, what you see is what you get. JD not so much. Too much drama.

There is more to joining this band than having a bad boy image.

What was JD's line about working with them for the "next 20-30 years" Yeah right, they'd be around 70 in 20 years! loool

JD says such stupid things to try to impress them!

take care,
itanja

Posted by: itanja at September 11, 2005 05:59 PM

Itanja,

You're correct, they did question JD's attitude. I just got the feeling that they were less impressed with MIG, and SUZIE's interview. That's all. MARTY may not fit with them musically. I guess their decision is going to come down to the less of 4 evils. Or maybe as you stated before, they won't pick any of them.

If I was in a band I wouldn't want JD in it because of the drama.

Posted by: Mike from NYC at September 11, 2005 07:25 PM

Hi Mike from NYC. :) How are ya? My views, as I said on the TPC board, is that it's anyone's call at this point. All of them have qualities that would make them good lead singers, and all have some shortcomings.

I do think that it's ridiculous to consider Mig's theater background and likeable demeanor shortcomings, though. (It's almost as if they were grasping for something negative to say about him.) Rock and roll IS theater in many ways. I believe the best rock and roll performers are those who combine theatrical elements with moments of pure, raw, unabashed, spontaneous, real emotion. And I think Mig has proven that he can do both.

Rant over. What can I say... I like the guy. :)

After what we saw tonight, I think they are all equally qualified to front INXS, even from that personality/getting-along perspective. Even the sometimes obnoxious JD would probably (and should) show INXS the respect they deserve.

This is definitely getting tougher. Only time will tell!

Posted by: Denise at September 11, 2005 07:29 PM

Hi Mike and all...

I really think Marty is it- he comes across as very confident and professional. The house band said in an earlier episode that they think he always works really hard and takes this very seriously.

Suzie dissapointed me and reminded me of when I was younger and would interview and all of a sudden my mind would go blank...and I would choke. I thought she was a little more confident than how she came across. But, yuou know everyone screws up in interviews, I should know...

JD is hungry for the job- he is just too much work, as someone said, these guys don't need to have him tripping and them babysitting ...too much ego in my opinion.

Mig seems like a great person. But, I also think he is more suited for acting than rock-n-roll.

Oh well. Like they care what I think!

Wrist and thumb impaired,

CLaudia
have a good night ya'll!

Posted by: Claudinha at September 11, 2005 07:38 PM

Poor Suzie. I hate it when my mind goes blank like that.
Marty's been doing interviews all along and I think he's just more comfortable with it.
After watching the show tonight, here's what I think...short and sweet.

Suzie’s too bluesy, Marty’s too manic, Mig’s too “big show and J. D…..he’s just J. D. The Bad Boy of the show.
They seem to be worried about whether J. D. is what he seems to be or if it's just an act for the show.

I think it's between Marty and J. D. at this point.

I loved the cake and J. D.s comment at the end. Did you guys catch that part?

The Cake? I liked when Suzi ate it and he mentioned the fact it was chocolate....ha! The interviews were interesting. I still think it's down to Mig and Marty. I was glad Marty and JD get to sing their songs again tonight. I think it's awesome that no matter what, there is spotlight on their talent. I liked both of the songs. They are different from one another, but show talent.

I don't think a singer has to be edgy to be effective though. It may be something acquired over time and gained confidence with the band. It would have been good if INXS had played with them more to help build an onstage relationship.

Good Morning Dave!

Have you actively been thinking of a "plan" to deal with the let down you are bound to experience once this show is over???

If so...please share it with us. I have no idea what I'm going to do when I can't have my thrice-weekly Dave fix!!! (It's the jeans son, you've spoiled us with those jeans) ;)

Posted by: Cori at September 12, 2005 04:58 AM

sorry, Claudinha. I went to bed early last night.
At the end of the show, when the credits are rolling, they show J. D. coming out with a huge ass-shaped cake. Next scene shows Suzie sticking her face in the crack of the cake and coming up with icing all over her face.
J. D. told them "it's chocolate."
Then when they're all sitting around eating the cake (with forks and plates, this time) he says, "Well, now we can all say we had a piece of ass while we were hear."

To me, the clips at the end of the show is the best.
~Dani~

Posted by: Dani at September 12, 2005 05:32 AM

that's "while we were here." sorry.

This clip was seconded only by the shot of Suzie wandering in alone and eating the remains of the "birthday cake-fight" that was left on the table. Right before that they showed J. D. sitting in the middle of the table.

Diane

Posted by: Diane at September 12, 2005 06:42 AM

One thing JD said was “only 11 days left. I guess the finale will be next week?! I thought they’d get down to the Final Three, then Two but apparently not :(.

I wonder if the INXS guys read the boards. I have said many times (and I am sure that plenty of others have said) that Mig is great but doesn’t have the edginess that a frontman needs, and all the comments seem like things we say. I know that it’s probably just that they see what we see and form the same opinions, but maybe they lurk. They would be wise to read the boards, and take the comments as public opinion, to an extent, not as the final word. The public buys the albums. I like Marty, but JD seems more and more like the one that “fits, if he can just overcome the bad boy image he has now. Suzie has a great voice, but I don’t know if she is quick enough under pressure to handle the questions, she froze last night, and that’s not the first time. It has to be tough to answer quickly without putting your foot in your mouth.

Hey, FYI --NYC 67’ers—Audioslave at MSG on Sat. 10/29! And Depeche Mode at MSG on 12/7. Hit me up if anyone else is going…

Love,
Sue

Wow, that boy has some talent! He does shares Dave's birthday.....

Posted by: Junebug at September 12, 2005 08:28 AM

Sorry Sue, in all due respects, JD doesn't necessarily have it. I know I'm not alone in that, as every co-worker and friend I've spoken to about RSINXS agrees, the whole Elvis thing with JD is not ok. I personally wouldn't spend a dime on the band if he fronted them. No way.

However, to be fair, no one has a lock on this, from what I could see.

Marty wants to take the band in a direction that I don't know the band believes they want to go in. Suzie has the vocals, but can she take the pressure? Mig is 'too nice', which basically translates into is Mig not forceful enough to be a "part of the band" or merely just a singer. A band is a group effort. His theatrical background and his lack of being in the bottom three is working against him now. JD is saying what he needs to say to get the job, but I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. Does the band really want a game player in with them?

With that being said, which way does INXS go? The fans certainly believe in Mig. He's never been in the bottom three. Nice guy or not, perhaps they need to look at that and factor that in.

Either way, it's great television.

Posted by: Kate at September 12, 2005 08:35 AM

The cake - now that was a nice piece . . . I am going to have to make one of those - today is my mom's birthday, but I don't think it will be today. Dad's is next month. The hubby's is this weekend - I am afraid he will take it to heart. A chocolate cake shaped as an ass . . . what a way that mind works! I am not a JD fan, but he got my attention with THAT!

Would you like to eat a piece of ass?

Posted by: Angel at September 12, 2005 08:57 AM

hi dave just dropping a line to you in regards to something I saw on the Rockstar INXS boards in reguards to some JD fan bashing you . First I am a total JD fan as I am from his home area of pictou county nova scotia. Very proud to say he is my homeboy. I have been in the concert lighting biz for years and understand much of the goings on in the industry so JD is really living my dream as well as I have not achieved this type of sucess.( I have been very fortunate pardon the pun anyways)
I would like to say I am sorry on the behave of myself and I hope many of the JD fans who are very reasonable people and seem to me to be well educated. I hate to say that of course I have heard your name and know of jane's addiction and the red hot chilli peppers but I dont believe I have heard the cuts you played on. Love the chilli peppers but like most music I hear and see it on the tv and radio but dont act on picking up the CD. I want to finish by saying you have been totally fair in your hosting job and I have actually seen you grow as a person over the last two months. losing the boa and putting on the dress shirt certainly changed my thinking on you and i do promise to go out and find your recordings of the past and llook forward to your future works. Cheers A JD fan from Nova scotia

Hi all,

Just wanted to add my two cents to the final four discussion.

If Mig wins, I will quote J.D. and say 'I won't go out of my way to listen to that.' * yawn * He hasn't been in the bottom three. I want him to sing INXS, because the Westwood One INXS songs I heard were just awful! Also, how much of the voting can be attributed to fans manipulating the votes?

IMHO, there are only two contestants in this contest, J.D. and Marty. If either one wins this the headlines will be 'Bad Boy J.D. to front INXS' or 'Marty, the mad conductor, is new INXS front man'. Those two will compel us to follow the story. Will J.D. clean up his act? Can Marty supress the screaming and bring INXS into the future? Tune in to find out. If Mig or Suzie wins it, the story wil be buried away somewhere on page 14 with many of us (not all) saying 'Ah yes, very nice.' and moving on.

Please note, I think all four are fabulous and deserve huge props! For me it comes down to J.D. or Marty. Good luck to you OB:INXS. This is a very hard decision indeed.

BTW Dave, I can't wait to see you performing with the rawkers tomorrow night!

Yeah, I, too, noticed Billy was eating during the show right after Matt came in. Whatever it was, it sounded good! LOL!

Did the network buy the ass-shaped cake, or is that why J. D. wanted to borrow the 50 bucks from his mom?

Hey Billy, glad you're over your funk. Do you think you might take up some sort of humanitarian work on a semi-regular basis? I remember someone once saying there is nothing greater then the gift of contribution to the betterment of the world we share.

Thanks Jezzi. I was glad to be of service. Whether it's giving blood, clothing, time, money, your ear or a smile, it does and can make a difference. Practicing those wonderful random acts of kindness each and every day makes it all worthwhile.

I'm meeting the promotions dude down by the radio station this afternoon to pass over the goodies.

Last night's show was amazing!! Glad you're feeling better. We have a few thousand people here in Hot Springs taking refuge. It was so overwhelming to walk into the convention center last week and be able to put human faces and names to the tragedy we have all watched unfold on the television. I listened as several families recounted the event that changed their lives (I was told letting them tell me their story would be part of their healing process), watched my young son interact with children his age who were trying to make sense of their new routine and circumstances, and watched with awe as our church managed to feed hundreds of people on a moments notice. This storm not only changed a city, but lives. I know it's put a new perspective on mine. I wish everyone a good Sunday and a beautiful week.
Peace-

Hi Billy,
FYI I posted in the VR site about the posibility of a mini CFR auction. There is interest in some more Matt stuff. Anyhow, many of the members there also read your blog. With enough notice I think the bids might be a little higher :D

I'm just saying...

Hey Billy, it was my pleasure, haven't heard from the people yet though to take my details. As far as I see it though, there are people out there who need the money more than I do.

Awesome, congrats to all of you!

Love the pics, Billy (and those glasses)!

Billy, my boyfriend's mother went to China over the summer and bought Star Wars 1-3 for my boyfriend for $8. She didn't realize that they were probably bootlegged, she didn't know that the third episode wasn't out on DVD yet. But anyway, it's in English with the option of English subtitles. However, the subtitles are from another movie! We think they are from "The Piano". It's pretty funny to watch with the subtitles on.

How does Camp Freddy feel about profitors on Charity? The show at the Key Club is a charity show, yet there are people on EBAY and Craig's list selling these tickets for profit? How does Camp Freddy feel about that and do you plan on doing anything about that? It's very disappointing that people who really enjoy Camp Freddy cannot go because of people like this. Just wondered what your thoughts were!

keep up the good work!

So last night I watched the repeat @ 1:00am on VH1 and it was really good. So Suzie choked on a question...oh well. It happens. I remeber reading Rolling Stone when I was a teenager and the reporter wrote that Dylan lit a cigarette backwards @ Live Aid. So rockstars mess up 2. I like Marty and Suzie. J.D. is fun 2 watch as well. Mig is a great person. So they said on this site J.D. had a drug problem in Canada. A first for a rockstar. And I believe Suzie is reallly strong, like INXS told her when she first sat down. So why did they question if she could handle it? That girl is as strong as 2 men. peace--ck

Hi Dave,

Missed you on CFR Saturday night. As sexy as your ass looks on TV, it's not half as sexy as hearing your voice on the radio.

Although I've asked you questions before and you've never answered them (I understand you're a tad busy and get asked a lot of questions), I'm going to try again. This is important, Dave, what muppet do you admire the most and why? For me, it's all about Ms. Piggy. I love the gal's spunk.

Take care,

When INXS wrote the song "us" and was performed by the last seven. I pretty sure they already know who is best suited for the band. I maybe wrong, but their future is well planned out. They didn't get this far by being haphazard and making decisions on a whim. Any comments?

Hi Dave,
Whoever did the Camp Freddy poster and T-shirt for the Key Club can't spell!!
It says "Thurdsay" on the poster and "benifit" on the T-shirt!
Maybe you could correct the spelling on my T-shirt and maybe sign it: Edited by Dave.

HA, that's when I found out my son and Perk were birthday buddies, do you have any birthday buddies?

and two, I know you love DVDs of TV shows, have you ever watched any seasons of a guilty pleasure of Mike and mine....Gilmore Girls?

Dave,

You are amazing! My wife and I watch Rockstar all the time and we love your comments and mentoring as it were for the artists. THough I hope you never stop your music drive, I hope you continue to do the host/commentator/director angle. You got the goods on that one too.
Checking out the Rockstar website I saw that J.D. is from Oakville, Ontario which is right next to where we live and I grew up (Burlington). Ya he can be a jerk but he has the talent and the drive, my wife is pulling for him, me I like Marty.
Have a good one

'Morning all!

I wanted to ask, I saw Sunday night's show on VH-1, and I never saw a cake in the shape of buns, nor did I see Suzie sink her face in it...when/where did you guys see that?

Just curious!

Claudinha P.S. Have a nice day all!

Posted by: Claudinha at September 13, 2005 09:20 AM

after the end of the show, they usually go to commercials. After the commercials, when the credits are rolling for the show, they show extra clips.

That's where it was. That and the one with J. D. sitting in the middle of the demolished cake.

Oh, I am hoping they will make a DVD and put all these in the outakes. I'd be the first in line to buy it.

I am sickened by the fact that these "BENEFIT" tickets were sold for $15.00 each and somone is selling them for $115 and for profit. Do people no longer have a conscience? Hopefully they giving the extra $ to Benefit victims and not just pocketing the $, but I doubt it.

Posted by: Jillianne at September 13, 2005 09:59 AM

Someone had some extra tickets and called Camp Freddy Radio and donated them...they sold some of the items on Ebay so everyone would have a chance at them.

Maybe that's what you are talking about???

Check out the archived stream from PanicRadio up top on the right to hear about it.

Posted by: gypsyfenix at September 13, 2005 10:24 AM

Has anyone else noticed 6767 acting wonky lately, or is it just me????

~Dani~

Posted by: gypsyfenix at September 13, 2005 10:27 AM

I was the one that had the extra tickets and donated them to CF for the auction, but yeah...supposively they were auctioned off for around $250? I was VERY happy to have extra tickets to donate.

But someone else is selling tickets on ebay. Not sure if they are doing it for profit or for donation (I tend to think the former rather than the latter). NOT cool if it's for profit.

Posted by: Kate at September 13, 2005 10:45 AM

Yep Dani, thanks, I need to pay more attention!

Yes, our dear 6767 is acting funny...unless it is just us, since we always seem to coincide! :)

maybe the blackout had far-reaching effects....hmmmm....

Hey, Dave! Where were you when the lights went out???

~Dani~

Posted by: gypsyfenix at September 13, 2005 12:02 PM

Looks like if the tickets were for a donation it would say so on the bid site.

Also looks like Ebay would frown on that sort of thing since it's illegal. It is illegal, isn't it? :S

Oh there are some on Craiglist too. I mean I have no problem paying the price, however, not to mention its charity, or that the extra money would go to charity is wrong. I have other choices words but won't say them. I already got bitched out by one of the sellers for telling them they were idiots and they responded that they donated alot of money to charity and to mind my own business. Whatever!!!

EBAY won't do anything unless someone who is involved in the benifit gets the auctions taken off.

Posted by: Marra at September 13, 2005 12:38 PM

What do you all think of having an auction area on 6767? We would auction off items to help non-profits which Dave supports.

Posted by: Chafino at September 13, 2005 01:00 PM

6767 is acting and feeling kinda funny, like when I used to slide down the rope in gym class.

Chafino- that's a great idea...

Posted by: Junebug at September 13, 2005 01:31 PM

Wayne, that is funny!

Go for the auction, Dave! Even we could donate stuff (obviously of value)...I paint, so that could be a possible donation, a painting or collage... you just holding my painting would make someone else want it, so you could make some dough for all the great causes you support...:smiling: Dave's a doll!

Think about it, Dave & Chafi!

First and foremost before anyone gets the wrong idea I have never scalped a ticket and I don’t foresee myself doing it anytime soon. But about the scalpers, yeah it sucks but the money that was going to be raised for that was still raised. Even if you have to buy one of a scalper $15 dollars of that still went to the Red Cross Hurricane Relief fund. And since they really didn’t advertise it, the majority of Dave, Billy, TPC and VR fans knew about it and were able to get their tickets. I didn’t have money so I had a friend loan me the money to get it immediately but had I not got it, like in any other concert I would have resorted to buying one on e-bay, craigs list or whatever. We are lucky that they didn’t advertise it before or else it would have sold out in a matter of minutes like all other hot concert tickets versus 3 days. And although it blows to pay more than you have to, everyone has to feed their families somehow. Personally I couldn’t sell a ticket to another fan and make money of it since it would just feel wrong but to the people that do, well they live with themselves.

Again bottom line the money that was intended to be raised was and for those of us that got tickets for $10 dollars or $15 well we got a steal. I would have borrowed a little over 100 for them…

Posted by: Carly at September 13, 2005 04:03 PM

That is a cool song... my brother-in-law says that is his song for my sister...it cracks me up every time I hear it...she just rolls her eyes!

Posted by: Claudinha at September 13, 2005 04:15 PM

I see your point on the charity money getting there. However, they wouldn't be getting that person would not be getting the extra money had CF not offered to do the show.

I just think it is bad bad taste.

As for not getting a ticket when they sold. I had one bought for me or so I thought and we had a misunderstand ( thinking the other was buying the ticket )and we didn't get ours. Luckily, someone who remembered me from a previous show, offered me his extra ticket. So I am going.

I just think it is wrong to profit from a charity show. Othershows, yeah I get it. But a charity show, just bad taste IMO. To each there own. Wendy I totally get where you are coming from though...... =)

What a night !!!

Still jazzed from the performances tonight.

Dave, this show is honestly the best television in the past decade. You so blew me away with your playing tonight. I can't imagine anyone going home.

I sit here with a glass of wine, listening to the Counting Crows ( Goodnight Elizabeth ) thinking how I get up, go to work every day to a job that pays the bills but leaves me depressed at the end of the day. I love my kids, my wife, but I feel empty. I hope that you are loving your life right now. You deserve it !

Peace,

Hi Dave...

i just read your post...i am all about changing myself when unhappy...and i do understand that you have responsabilities... do you have any alternatives to working on something that you might love?

i heard that whatever made you happy as a child is what you should try to do in life...for me it was drawing/painting, and as soon as i gave it my full attention 2 years ago, life started changing for the better. i always created but did small spurts here and there, but it was such a great turn on to be creating and feeling fulfilled...

have a good night and think about what i said
not a genius or an expert, just someone who has been there!

good luck!

I am going to really miss the show when it's over. The talent has been great. I was actually happy Jordis didn't make it, I can't wait to buy her solo album, she is amazing. Suzy captivates me which is odd because I didn't really like her in the beginning. Mig is too plastic, JD is too dramatic and Marty is Marty.
This may not received the ratings of American Idol but the talent was so much better.

I enjoyed seeing DN on stage tonight, I am just a middle aged woman but I too liked the leathers!

Dave and everyone else

Please don't go read the Rockstar boards. I made that mistake and paid the price for it. Some people got up in arms about MiG's jacket and anyone who has tried to be reasonable with them has been called everything but Osama Bin Laden's love child. Me included. I'm so wound up I can't sleep. I got attacked by a rabid dog claiming to be a Marine who bit my leg off for suggesting that if he was going to send the letter he posted to his Congressperson like he said he was, that he might want to correct the spelling on it because it was pretty bad in spots, and I know from a friend who used to work in a congressman's office that they throw away stuff that rants and has bad spelling because it's considered to be a crackpot letter.

dave -

sweet jesus! brooke looked incredible in that skirt!

TAP THAT ASS!!! u know u could if u wanted to...

i'd like to think that carmen would be into it, if u maybe just invited brooke over for dinner one night... then boooYAH.

ah, to be a rockstar.

yeah so anywaze. here's the breakdown on RS:

JD - voice best fits the bands back catalog, but the guy's a total dick. at least 2 or 3 of the inxs band members WILL NOT want to deal with this kid. if he wasnt such an asshole and if he'd cut the backstreet boy routine of jumping around on stage and saying stupid shit to the crowd... he'd be the easy choice. but he is what he is.

SUZY - she rocks. she was killing for a while there, but tonight's performance wasn't her best. 2-3 weeks ago, i though she was on her way to being the lead singer of the band. but when she needed to be kicking it up a notch and stealing the show, she faltered. the nervousness seemed to prevail tonight and the performance was average.

MIG - he's perfect for We Will Rock You or any other vegas-type show... while the guitar was tight on Paint It Black, Mig was weak as circus lemonade. if mick was dead, he'd be turning in his gave.

MARTY - the man. the only real choice for INXS. his style is different than what they'd prefer, but he's original and amazingly talented. he rocked the most tongiht. but that's nothing new. all in all, he's rocked the house more of the time than anyone else.

Put all your money on Marty, dave.... and invite brooke over for dinner.

My oh my oh my!!

We Australians have just viewed the latest RS-INXS performance show (better late than never) and can I just say how HOT was Dave!! Dave you were looking mighty mighty fine!
Nevermind the last four standing, Dave totally stole the show!

BUT getting back to the contestants, the performance show certainly proved it's now only between two....JD who is really talented but really Irks me and Marty who I think should win hands down, though I only hope in the big picture INXS dosen't let him down!

I have been meaning to post here for ages.. but all i can think of writing is some lame ... "I love you Dave". After watching your brilliant performance on rockstar last night, i just have to find the nerve to write here to tell you how much i have enjoyed reading your blog, have a wee crush on you since Red Hot Chili Peppers days and admire the things that you do for charity. "Dave, saya sayang kamu."

I have been coming to work late on Wednesdays and Thursdays these last couples of months as the live performances are in the morning in this part of the world (I am from Malaysia by the way). Don't know how i can handle the withdrawal symptoms after next week... Hope INXS will be coming to this part of the world in their coming world tour...

and another thing... go marty!!!

Posted by: Schwing at September 14, 2005 06:15 AM

DAVE, DAVE, DAVE

Best show yet last night! Just outstanding; the closest to a real concert I've seen on the show yet. Though it's been said again and again, and acknowledged by you, the House Band is amazing too. Not bad harmony either. And you were in superstar form last night, as always. Though I miss Jordis, as a fellow St. Paul Minnesota resident, we congratulate her and proudly welcome her home, and can't wait to see her on the next TPC/CF/solo album. So I guess since I can't cheer for Jordis, "GO MIG". Can't wait for RS2!! Do we get the inside scoop on when that's happening? --shout to angel, jezz, moo, spacey :)

How about that JD punk kissing on Dave? That cracked me up. My wife kept rewinding that and pausing on it.

Hey Dave and all,

I think Suzi may leave tonight. And once again-last night was a treat to see you up there jammin' with each of them. It was awsome.

Morning amigos...

OK, so how does the rockstar show go now? No more performances? I didn't get what Brooke meant, don't they keep voting down until 1-2 are left standing? DUH. Someone please tell me?

Thanks!
Claudinha

I bet they'll just pick the winner next week instead of sending home another person.

I dunno... I think it may end up being Marty that leaves. He went back to the screaming last night. Hard call all round.

Monday is the last show, so I think 2 peeps get sent home tonight, there are no more elimination shows scheduled, but, I could be wrong

Hi Dave!

I'm new at this so bear with me. I hope you don't mind me asking this question. Can you please tell me how tall you are?? You're a sweetheart and I wish you and Carmen many loving years together! My husband and I love watching you on Celebrity Poker Showdown. My husband says you're a great poker player!

Good morning, all!

Great show last night. It was awesome to see Dave up there rocking out again.

Unfortunately, I might have to miss tonight's elimination show. :( Waah. I have a feeling Suzie's going to go, but it's really anyone's call.

Have a fabulous day,

One week ago today I was rockin' with you guys at the elimination show! In fact, I was standing directly in front of you! (the cute blonde with a dazzling smile! ha-ha!) Had a BLAST and will blog about it soon. Thanks for autographing my favorite cd cover (yours of course) - you're the best!!

Isn't it weird to think that RIGHT NOW they are taping the elimination show? Someone is singing INXS for the last time...
