I got on my computer after the telecast and did what every youngster and estrogen pumped JD fan did last week and voted for Suzy a hundred times. There is no justice in the world if she remains in the bottom three when you still have Deanna, Jordis, Marty, and most of all JD to kick off still. She's incredible, and moreover, does INXS songs a justice I didn't think they deserved until she came along.

Long time reader, first time poster.

We are anxiously awaiting tonights show, since it is an hour long format. The Ty Comment - at the time, it was very funny. That being said, my five year old daughter now says it about everything and I am loving it not-so-much :)

I honestly don't know how you do it. I get so emotionally involved in this show - seriously, perhaps I need a bit of therapy. You actually have close relatonships with these people - I just can't imagine.

Ok, so the Ty-riffic comment made my eyes roll a bit and an "aw-geez" escape my lips.. but still dang cute. Jordis.. ouch babe. Just not the right song for her, but she doesn't deserve to be off the show. Mig and Deanna's new songs... loved them both. My 20 yr old son watches it with me, we both said NAILED IT. My little original/cover/bar band from Vancouver B.C. scored 3 gigs at "the most famous club in the world", The Cavern Club in Liverpool, England! We'll be there on September 9th, 10th and 11th! My gawd, to say we're excited is an understatement! The trip is gonna cost us huge, but being huge Beatles fans how can you say "no" to playing on such a historic stage?! Wish us luck! Loving the show, it's like American Idol - but with actual talent/sex appeal.

I picked up Carmen's aerobic DVD's and they are freaking fantastic! Won't be showing my new skills to the latest beau quite yet, though, as I have all the natural grace of a newborn moose. Crap.

I'm hoping Suzie is in the top three tonight because that poor girl sang her butt off last night and she has proven that she does a great job of singing INXS songs. Go Suzie...Go Suzie!
I still would have liked to have seen what she could do with her own song.
Everyone did well last night, and except for that one troublesome note for Jordis, they all sounded great. I don't envy the guys in INXS trying to choose who goes.

When I heard you make the "Ty-riffic" comment it made me think how far you have come from that dark place you were at when you wrote the book. I thought, "Wow, he is having so much fun with life, taking chances and not caring what people think". That is a very different person from the one who was hiding from life by rarely going outside (except to point guns at utility guys)and who contemplated ending life. It is hard for me to reconcile that you are the same person. But it is also incredibly uplifting to see how someone can turn life around so completely and eventually find such happiness and be an inspiration to others...and just have plain old good fun by being silly in front of millions of people.
I love you for that.

I am working a fulltime job but place so so much value on my creative endeavours, and my parents cannot understand me from a creative standpoint, to the point where I am about to move out and everythings awry. As hard as it is to be successful drawing or playing hte guitar, could you offer any advice?

So, I don't know if you will actually get to this one because its so far bloody down.. but I really have a good series for you.. the commercials previewing the show sucked but I have to say, once I saw it, it is so refreshing because it isn't like anything else on tv and the writing is pretty great.. Its House, doctor drama yes, but the main character is so amazingly hilarious and kicking ass all at the same time, check it out if you can and lemme know, or just plain enjoy because its well worth it. My husband and I check out the same stuff as you so I think you would dig on it. We rip em' online and watch them when the baby is sleeping... anywho, I think we like the same stuff so trust dave, trust.

Dave!! How do you do this without losing your composure? Last night was the first time I felt REALLY bad when someone left, I didn't like when Brandon left, but with only 7 (now 6) people left, you get to know so much more about them and they seem more "real", like Deanna said. I felt so bad for her, even though I know that she ultimately isn't right for INXS. And by now you must be so much more attached to them. DAMN!!! IF MARTY DOESN'T WIN, THERE IS NO JUSTICE!! I really think he can fit the bill exactly, have enough core INXS to satisfy, but bring an edge and current vibe to the band to keep them going for a long time. Love his edginess, I like MiG but he doesn't have the edge. He's really great though.
