Down to 8
As you can see, we have decided to put up our new layout and get started. Soon, all the old links will be active and we will be gliding along with grace and ease. Today I am going up to the mansion to host another clinic with the singers. This one should be really interesting. Don't miss it on VH1 next Sunday. I went by the mansion last night after the elimination show and it was very quiet. Brandon's presence is totally missed. He was such a part of that place and has the biggest heart. I meant what I said last night when I told him that what he does, he does well, it just doesn't fit with INXS. Tomorrow night I am taking the remaining contestants out for a drink and a chance to either discuss the rest of their stay, or just chill. Today looks like a half day for me so I will be getting to some questions later as well as updating some stuff here.

Happy Day, I'm guessing that he'll be drinking a Jack and Diet Coke, minus the Jack. :)
We just heard Tommyland yesterday and it's awesome -- nice work on it, Dave!

Hi Dave:
I left the Peter Jennings tribute to watch the show.
I thought both Brandon and Jessica would be leaving.
Dave, your hair style last night...WOW, the best on the show so far + the black shirt: You were red carpet ready...WOW. Please, keep the look!
Jessica, even though she is a good singer, the fans don't seem to relate to her, and the fans do buy the concerts tickets. My personal feeling? She doesn't come across like she wants it bad enough.
BTW: GREAT website! Don't know how you find the time to do all this.

Dave,
Just finished reading DTTAH. Great book! Takes alot of balls to expose your life to the entire world like that. 2 Questions...
1. Do you have a 6767 clothing line? (saw the tshirt)
2. I'll be in L.A. Monday-Wednesday of next week, where should I go see live music?
Thanks,

Hi Dave,
Like the new look of the site so far! Just a quick question...I picked up Tommy Lee's new cd Tommyland:The Ride on Tuesday and see you played on it...could ya tell me what tracks? it isnt listed in the liner notes.
Posted by: Judi at August 11, 2005 09:16 AM
Dave - you looked yummy last night. even my dad noticed a difference in your look (which is saying a lot). he also made a comment last night about Brandon being perfect for the Black Crowes. i laughed and told him about the 6767 peeps saying the same thing.
i was bummed to see him go, really only because i wanted Jessica to go. i do think you are right about Brandon being awesome, but just not right for INXS. Jessica just has a bad attitude, overall. and her performances seem to be getting less and less passionate. Sylviane is right about her not coming off like she wants it bad enough.
Suzie!?!?!? she did not belong in the bottom three. that girl is going to have a heart attack from the constant emotional rollercoaster of being on the chopping block, then redeeming herself and feel grateful, but at the same time, losing another housemate. those folks who haven't been in the bottom three just can't imagine her suffering!
site looks good...

Oh yeah, the slick was doin it for you last night, not surprised to see brandon go, but for a while I thought he would pull through and surprise us but he had a few slips last night, what a crazy way to show and see your strengths and weaknesses.
Hope everyone's haven a good one today!!!
Dave, Bet it feels good bein with the wifee, I love you two being together!!!

Fucking love the new look of the site Dave. Seriously. Was just doing the typical morning "hmm, let's see what Dave's up to while I try and wake my sorry ass up" thing and BOOM

Props to the designer, great vibe and energy to it.

Hi,
Peg, just want to thank you for the heads up on the rockers having blogs! Now my obsession with this show is even more obsessed...one question (I'm not very computer savvy you see) how do you post a message to the rockers?
Gracias,
Jess

I actually just read the article! I posted before I read it cause I was excited!!!!
They still arent' sure what the future of the club's lease is going to be, it's up soon, but it's just awesome that a judge rules in favor calling it a landmark.

Hey Dave, Great show, I would have never known about it unless I came here to see whats up.
Hey I was told by some of the guys at Bad Cat amps that youre using their stuff, is that just for studio, What do you think of their amps? I am looking for a practice amp to warm up with and was wondering what you use. My marshall superbass head is a bit loud for warming up backstage. Just wondering if you could give me some advice. Pretty please with Carmen on top of it.

Hey Dave:
To be honest with you, I was not surprized to see Brandon go. Though he IS talented, I agree that he is just not right for INXS...out of the remaining contestants, there are definately a few others that either do not appear to fit the band, or, do not appear to be strong enough singers/performers to make it, mainly Jessica, Deanna, and Suzie. Have you developed a mental list of the weakest links? If so, would you share?

HEY!!! I found it!!
Questions for Dave!
1. How do you think having Daisy has prepared you for being a parent?
2. Do you normally stand or hit on 13?
3. Any plans to expand the Whatcha wanna know section?
4. Do you actually buy CDs, or are you primarily a downloader? I have to have the liner notes, myself!!
5. Have you had any pool parties this summer, I hear cabanas are tres chic!

Hey Gorgeous!
Thursday night and no show... what's a girl to do? I'm so hopelessly hooked on the show, don't know what I'll do when it's over.
I certainly don't envy you and the guys over the next weeks. But I take solice in the fact that all of the remaining rockers will either continue with their bands or hopefully, really get to the top of the charts with the world-wide exposure they are getting.
Would love Jordis to win but I think it's Mig or Marty.
The site design is you! Kudos to the design team.
Hang in there,
GB

Hello Dave:
RockStar.msn.com has a Rock Star INXS weekly Rock poll, and this week is about best guitare performance. Surprisingly enough, Peter Frampton's "DO YOU FEEL", is not part of that poll.
I was in Dallas in 87 when David Bowie came to town with his Glass Spider tour, Peter Frampton was part of Bowie's band -a favor from one friend to another I guess-, I can tell you Frampton was GREAT. I still have the video.
Have a super weekend,

Question for you Dave, with the recent passing of Peter Jennings and then the exposure of Dana Reeves having lung cancer, has it given you the incentive to quit smoking? Access Hollywood did a segment on smoking this week, and you beautiful picture was shown with about 30 others.
Always,

Hey, Sylviane, I was at the NJ show for the Glass Spider tour, it was HUGE! Very theatrical. The next time I saw Bowie was in 2000 for Storytellers, tiny, a few hundred people. I'll be seeing him at Fashion Rocks in NY in Sept. Bowie is so amazing.

Hello Sue:
I guess I was born loving David Bowie! My dad used to make fun of me, telling me: "He doesn't like women!"
After Glass Spider, I saw him in Boston in 1992, in a small theater, with a small band, he wasn't all that good then.
Fashion Rocks caught my eye -being a former model-, and I used to love going to NY for the weekend -I live in Washington, D.C.-. I had the privilege to go to Studio 54, with a dancer friend of mine, right before they closed, but you know, I never could bring myself to go to NY after 9/11.
I was home -Caribbean- when 9/11 happened, and I'm not sure I'll be able to go to NY again.
Have a great weekend Sue.
Say, speaking of Glass Spider: I am going to watch the video this weekend. I glad I bought it when it came out!
