Last nite RockStar was awesome! I cried right along with the others. Even I have a hard time letting them go, I can imagine how hard it is for Dave and INXS.

Oh! Dave...do me a favor...suggest to Mig that he should wear sexier clothes. He has an awesome body and I think if he showed that more it would be a huge boost for him. Not that he needs it...but it'll help! :)

YUCK!!!! I cannot stand Suzie. She has a great voice and would probably do OK on her own, but front INXS???? Give me a break. Let me put this in perspective, if INXS were coming in concert, I would not pay my hard earned money to see them with Suzie. I think that MiG or Marty have what it takes to front the band and I would actually pay to see that.

Lets hope that INXS takes what the public thinks into consideration when they are selecting a front person for the band -- after all they are the ones that have to buy the records and see the concerts.

I think it is a travesty that JD is still on that show, but am heartened that Suzy finally got her due. Jordis at least had the class last night to know that she should have been defending herself. I hear the band members saying that the "public" has spoken, that ultimately it's all about how they feel. But I think they should take a hard look at last night and understand that the scales are tipped in favor of those that are willing to vote for their favorites multiple times, like I did for Suzy--finally. Kudos to you Dave for calling it for what it was. As far as I'm concerned, the best fit for INXS is Suzy, even though Mig has talent in other categories.

I have to admit that I'm disappointed that we talked so much about the show and not what YOU are doing musically!
Then again, I guess the point was to promo the show, given the frequent 'tune in!' reminders...

I wanna know about how the MUSIC is still impacting you - when you haven't played for a few days, and it's just you and your guitar, what songs come up?
What disc have you bought lately that you've loved with a silly amount of passion?
Are you working on any solo stuff or has that time passed for now?
Any time for music with all the other stuff you're involved in?
Do you find the other stuff as fulfilling personally as the music?
Does Carmen ever join you when you're strumming around on the guitar and sing with you - I don't think there's anything in my life more fun and satisfying than accompanying my loved one when he's playing...

I know, I know, I'm whining, I just want Dave the musician back and I feel like he's been taken hostage by Dave the celeb and I guess I'm just arrogant enough to think that what I think matters at all.

Hey D-dogg, I dunno but somehow it feels like there's a lot of negative opinion and attitude going on in online discussions towards Rockstar and the contestants.. a majority of people don't really feel any of the contestants are fit to front the band. Where do you think this attitude is coming from? I personally think all the contestants have something great they could offer INXS. I also don't see what's wrong with a band who has lost a member starting up again to do what they love.

Dave, I think that you are really great to these rockers- always encouraging and helpful. But... why is Marty too good for the bottom 3? He only has 1 face, not much range nor desire to reach outside his comfort zone. He makes every song sound the same, without regard to genre. Just my 2 cents- I am rooting for JD- all the way, baby!

Hi Mike- I saw the Aristocrats. Cracked me up. Also saw Batman, I really liked it, considering I have not seen any other Batman flicks...saw Willy Wonka (I have been hanging with my nephews a lot this summer!) and thought it was good but a little too sanitized...the oompas were interesting, a little more exotic.

I watch DVD's a lot, and I saw "The Last Seduction" a week ago, had never seen that film, I found it interesting with a very "noir" feel to it (with Linda Fiorentino). Hmmm. Let's see... "The Very Long Engagement" was great, a little TOO long (no pun intended but true!)I love the actress (her name escapes me,but she was in Amelie) and I saw "Be Cool" which I didn't think was all that great.

Ok so I read an interview w/ you the other day where you mentioned "touring" with NIN??!! When did that happen? Did you play with Trent or just go to several shows as a fan? I also just found out that you played on FDTS and was blown away...must've been a dream come true to work with the likes of Trent!

Dave I was curious about the following. Does it cost a lot to run the Chatroom. How is all of the tech stuff being paid for? It seems that the bandwidth needed to run it wouldn't be free and it would take a bit to have it. Just wondering. I can't see my ISP allowing me to run a free chatroom on line.

I have really gotten into the show, LOVE it! I think there are a few things I take issue with, but I guess nothing is perfect. My biggest issue is when INXS has negative comments for the rockers on the song they sang...it is not like they have total freedom to sing the song they performed. The group is given the songs and someone has to sing what is left. "You did great, but we are not sure that is INXS"....well, ok, then give them something more INXS-ish....
But you Dave, you are GREAT! You are looking H-O-T, I think you are better than ever!!!!! I love seeing this side of you!
