3/10/WCC
I'm off to tape the elimination show. It's really going to be interesting to see who is in the bottom three. Even though Ty's Everlong wasn't that strong, I have a hard time imagining him in the lower register. Everyone else either did really well or at least improved. At this point, it's getting to be more about taste than anything. I'd say, in like three weeks, it'll be super hard to call. So far, Jordis has done no wrong for me. She has the voice and the "X" factor.
I know I owe you guys a couple of Sunday 10's, so if there are any questions, I can get to 10 of them today. Tomorrow we tape a whole new clinic. Thanx to Al for the WCC photos. I hadn't seen them.
Have a beautiful day. I will surely meet some of you as we trudge the Road of Happy Destiny.

it breaks my heart that daphna is gone. she was beautiful and at least in my opinion had a great stage presence. i would love her to have my children. miggs will win. no doubt about it.
Posted by: brad wilkins at August 3, 2005 07:04 AM
I should clarify...
I'm not necessarily sure, Jordis is gonna win, I'm not sure she is right for INXS, but I will definitly follow whatever she does in the future. By IT, I mean, she gives me chills! that voice and soul she emits are incredible!
Posted by: sweetmelis at August 3, 2005 07:09 AM
Amen to that, Jordis has such a golden voice. Last night's performance was just amazing! Thank God for tivo, I had to watch it a couple of times. I really like Nirvana's cover of it off their Unplugged album but her version just kicked its ass.

Hey Dave:
What is your favorite song you recorded with Jane's Addiction. I just love "The She Did". Hope all is well!
Posted by: Scott at August 3, 2005 07:20 AM
Hey Dave, recording the TPC tunes, did you guys ever try recording in a live situation instead of tracking drums, then bass, etc? And if you haven't, just curious why not? My band just did that and it seemed to go a lot smoother, felt WAY better, and had a different character to the songs than tracking everything seperately.

Hi Dave! Any ideas if you'll be playing in Vegas Oct 19-23???? My husband and I are going for a short getaway and would love to see you perform! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!!
Just heard that Chad Kroeger will be joing you for the Poker gig! AWESOME table line up!!!!
One last thing...do you know if you need to schedule appointments for Hart and Huntington years in advance or will we be lucky and able to get in once we arrive?
Thanks! Love ya much! Can't wait to see what happens tonight! I think it's going to get down to Jordis and Mig. Jordis is my favorite pick, but I think Mig will prob get it...he's not my favorite, but it's of course not my choice. Attitude has a big factor for me and I think Jordis carries herself very well in all areas!!!

Enjoying watching Rock Star, but one request.... you appear to be wearing too many clothes - can you stop that please?? ;)
Question: Is Val Kilmer Jim Morrison??

Dave,
Just wanted to say hey - just found the site. I think you're doing a great job on Rock Star - I'm impressed with the fact you appear to be a genuine, nice guy (as do the rest of the folks) - it's real refreshing. Thanks for everything you do - if you and the missus are ever down in Miami and need a tour guide (yeah right), look me up.

add me to the jordis fanclub. she's got it all.
but i wonder how she smells with those dreads. i love chicks with dreads but the smell can be a turnoff. so can you do a brother a solid and smell her dreads...not stick you nose in them, mind you, just kind of pass by her and take a whiff. if they stink my perception of her may take a hit. if they don't, then she enters goddess status. either way, i just got to know.

Good Morning Early Riser!
I agree that Jourdis has performed excellently. I hate to say it but Mig or JD would probably be a better fit for the band. When do you guys tape the performance shows?
From reading your blog I can tell you have pretty cool taste in movies and TV shows - What other stuff do you watch during the year.
Oh yeah and do you think that you would be interested in doing any other type of TV or movie stuff as well? You have a really interesting and captivating presence onscreen.
Have a GREAT day.

Jordis kicks ass!!! But I don't think she's gonna win. She's definatly the most talented and a great entertainer, but I don't think she would look right singing with a group of older men. I think that Mig should win because he sounds good and he would look good with INXS. A young female singing in a band of older men just doesn't do it for me. If nothing else comes out of this I really hope that she can start something on her own, I'd love to hear that.
Posted by: Twisted Angel at August 3, 2005 07:56 AM
Still think this is all a cheap publicity leap for an already long gone 3 legged horse. INXS were a great 80s band because they suited the style and attitude of the time. Michael was the face of it, he's dead and so is any respectable point of view towards this band. Its like replacing Perry in Jane's Addicion, Kurt in Nirvana, Chuck D in Public Enemy, etc. Hopefully your not all TV-Babies, and will stop soul-kissing Dave's EGO, before he makes a fateful leap... into the political arena! Dave,
Ever think of doing a guest appearance on Entourage? You’d be great! Love that show. (Crossed swords, anyone?) Keep up the good work, you’re keeping the balance between constructive and funny in your comments. Did you see the RSINXS drinking game? Every time Brooke says “rockers you take a shot. We started counting last night but lost track! Jordis, Mig and Brandon ruled last night. Maybe I’ll “see you in the chat room tonight…

Dave,
I've got a quick easy question for you.
Do you plan on quitting smoking anytime in the near future?
Just wondering about, when you do try and quit and start up again-do you feel like a failure? Or do you just try and think about it being better next time? What's your take on the smoking thing.
(Yes, I'm enjoying a smoke as I type this)
Posted by: Diane/FRI13th at August 3, 2005 08:09 AM
As with everyone else, I agree that Jordis kicked ass. As for JD, I thought he was a total cheeseball. Not only did he "talk/whipser" to the crowd (girls) once, but TWICE !! It was so Elvis/Wayne Newton/Tom Jones-ish. I can't believe no one said anything about this. I dunno, I thought he was lame. Although Jordis is amazing, I don't think she's right for the band. I think (hope) it's going to be Mig. He seems to have some kind of "Michael" quality in him. Maybe it's his abs ????
Cheers

Was wondering about the songs chosen for the
contestants to perform, who decides the initial set of tunes and how do they come to determining the list itself? The process if you will.
Some insight please.
Thanks,

The show last night was definately the best so far. I agree that it will be interesting to see who the bottom three are because they all really did a great job!
Is there any criteria that they use to pick the songs? Do you help in that process?
You looked great last night, can't wait to see ya tonight!

Good Morning Dave! I have two questions on this happy hump-day:
Do you know if spectators are allowed at the Rock Star Poker event in Vegas? I'll be in town for my BDay and would love to watch you play for a bit.
Also...any chance Camp Freddy might invite some of these awesomely talented "kids" to participate in an upcoming show? Jordis with CF...that would be hot!
Have a beautiful day....look forward to seeing you tonight! ;)

From TV Guide's website (breaking news):
ON THE MOVE: CBS is shifting the Monday-night edition of its struggling Rock Star: INXS to sister network VH1, effective immediately. The Monday installment — which basically features the contestants preparing for that week's performance — will now air Sundays at 8 pm on the cabler. The Tuesday performance edition and the Wednesday results show will continue to air on the Eye net.

Dave,
I must say that two weeks ago I never would have even had the remote thought of looking into what your about, let alone browsing your site and reading you blogs. Two weeks ago is when I stumbled upon the awesome INXS competition. I must say, I am blown away by the quality and the amazing entertainment. I WAS an idol fan, not so much for the bad auditions or stupid outakes but for the once-and-awhile great performance. That has changed. After being impressed with just about each and every performance, the very cool, positive clinics, and encouragble personalities of you and the band members, I am hoping Idol falls by the wayside and Rock Star carries on.
I am capitivated by your presence and hope to someday have the prviledge to see you in movies or better yet, live on stage. Keep doing what your doing and being who you are.
GREAT JOB!!!!

Dave,
I find RockstarINXS in a word "inspiring". I wont miss an episode because of all the fabulous talent and lovely characters. You, INXS and the rockers have such a positive attitude it carries through to the televison audience. When I listen to your critiques I hear the sincerity of the comments and find my own inspriration. The experience is real, as if I am right there watching a dream come true for one of the rockers. They have all improved so much in a few short weeks and is a testiment to the human spirit. At the same time I find inspiration from the experience of watching the show for my own dreams.
All the best:)

2) will you ever get into "shred" mode for future projects

Hi Dave, hi everyone!
The show gets more exciting by the episode. I can't wait to see what happens going forward. Mig and Jordis are the likely frontrunners, but they're all so good in their own way...
I think the idea of putting the "workshop" segment on VH1 is great... It's probably what they should've done all along. It breaks up the three-day thing, fits in perfectly with VH1's Sunday night lineup (Surreal Life, Celebrity Fit Club, etc.), and will probably bring in even more viewers. Cool!
On a slightly related note, here's a question, since I might not make it to the chat tonight:
???
With all of the boards and threads devoted to Rock Star INXS, do you find this near-realtime feedback to be mind-boggling at times? (I could see how it's beneficial, but I imagine it would also make one's head spin!!)
???
Anyhow, I give you and everyone involved in the show LOTS of credit. You're all working so hard and doing such a great job -- and it just keeps getting better.
A beautiful day to you too!
Love,
-Denise

Real-time Feedback
I think that's what makes Rock Star's format so brilliant and something that reality TV is sorely missing. Not only do viewers have (well, had) 3 days in a row of episodes but the short length of time between taping, production, and airing is different for reality TV shows. Knowing that "Survivors" had their experiences months ago isn't quite as exciting as knowing that as I'm typing this (my reality) the rockers, Dave, and INXS are experiencing theirs, and in a few short hours I will be able to see their reality. Today's reality today.

Over the limit on questions, but here goes:
1. I'm in LA and need to get some tattoo work done. I had a tat started in Richmond that needs completing and I'm over the artist who started it. It's an interpretation of a salvador dali painting if that helps w/ any recommendations you'd be willing to make.
2. You helped me out a few years back with feeding hungry people and encouraging young people to get involved as well. I was in NY at the time and with Rock and Wrap It Up. Remember us?
3. Listened to TNO again the other day. Any chance of you doing more solo stuff?
Be well, and thanks for your time.

So yesterday someone asked who will win? Of course who will win and who I want 2 win will be different. I said if it were a guy it would be Marty, but Mig was strong last night, AND I prefer Marty over Mig. JORDIS IS a rock star. 1 wicked chick. I would pay 2 see her, but I don't think she will win this. LOVED IT LAST NIGHT! I would pay 2 see Deanna, Marty, and Jordis. It is anyone's gig at this point. Ty? He would rock, the great white way. Hey, a Tony wouldn't suck---------peace. ck

yo dave - fun show ... really enjoy it. Jordis is f*n great - she could front my band (or me) any day of the week. I knew she would be a finalist after seeing her for the first time. Marty and JD on the other hand ... I would like to see the boys pull them aside from the bottom 3 and dismiss those two tonight.
So, the question ...
I'm sitting here testing software with my ipod and 3 days comes on ... I'm not big for dwelling in the past, but are there any Jane's songs you'll really miss playing live? The new stuff is great - got to check out TPC live and man, I can't wait for more.

I saw it. WOW, I am glad I don't have to choose. Jordis will definately do aight whatever she does. It Kicks American Idols ass! (I was sooo tired of 'reality tv'). Guys good job on the show. House band rocks, never knew Cher had such good musicians. I though JD kicked butt on a song that always ends up being such a bad Kare-e-(not)-okay song.
Why would someone draw you as a marinette? Me no understand, whatever. The artist of that is need of a thorizine drip.
I saw an inteview with Gene Wilder, he seems such a gentle spirit. He talked about his wife and how she was a meat and potatoes girl in bed, and how he was a romantic. He's still funny. Might have to get that book.
Glad you're having fun on the show.

Greetings,
Hey Dave have you ever experimented with playing the mandolin? I have been playing string instruments in local bands here in cincinnati since the mid- 80's. But lately have just been musically bored. Last year i Bought a mandolin i was always curiuos to play one. I have been practicing religiously with it, and seem to have developed a 'celtic' sound. Last week i was bored so i hooked it up to my effects system, wha pedal etc. And man!!! the sounds are so cool. It really opened my eyes and i have become so excited again. I admit the instrument is one of the most challenging i have experimented with. But with the effect systems it is a strange and beautiful animal. I hope soon to began jamming the band and try and work it in on are new material. I just hope the 'orignial' scene here in Cincinnati excepts it. That has always been a challenge here in such a conservative city.
Anyway if you are ever bored give the mandolin a go, it really is a beautiful sounding intstrument.
Thanks again for all the great music man!!

I read the above comments. Two things made me want to comment back. I don't know about your smoking habit. I quit for 7 years and started again. I don't smoke in the house, so that keeps me from smoking as much as I would if I smoked inside. I didn't find it hard to quit, I just found it better then doing nothing else when I need to vent. Go smoke and relax. I think I will give them up again, then something stressful gets to me and I am glad I smoke. One of my few vices, so bring them on. You quit when you are ready for it.
Paul Craig. I don't think you can EVER replace a dynamic singer in a band. It's not about replacing them, just starting over with someone new. It may work, it may not, but if they don't try, we would never know.
(I am thinking Pointer Sisters "We are family")
Maybe you were being funny about the "Soul-Kissing" Dave's ego part. The thing is, we all like to be told nice and supportive things. I may (and surely am a lot) be incorrect, but one of the things I found really nice about this blog is he has such a nice attitude about his fans. So maybe it's a bit of kissy-kissy both ways.
I know so little about you Dave, but if I go only by the things you have written over the last few months (I made it through May last night waiting on the show to begin) I hope the "family" keeps kissing, stroking and otherwise carressing your soul. If you run for an office, just make it one that we can all vote for. If you aspire to that sort of life. Go for it.
I may be but a step-child, but I hope it's okay to join in..haha.
I love the comments about the show, it's just something we can all share. If it weren't for the show, I think many of us wouldn't have found you here. You may hate that (I am laughing), but I think so many people are nice here. That's the reason to come back. You're the glue!

Very nice sentiment Stardreme...welcome to the Family! :D

they made the right choice. I was actually surprised Tara got this far. She just didn't "rock", ya know? I always felt like I was watching a friends aunt or older sister up there. I'm not trying to be mean, I just didn't feel her.
BUT>>>>I always feel Dave!!! hee hee wink wink!
Hope everyone had a great day!
To all the newbies...Welcome to the family!!
Does anyone ever actually listen when you tell them you don't want anything for your birthday?
I don't think so!!
Posted by: SweetMelis at August 3, 2005 06:29 PM
Thank you Cori it's nice to be here.
Okay, I couldn't shut up. They had Jordis do the encore. I have heard this song so many times and never never never has it caused me to cry. Then came Jordis. I listened several times last night and...I cried every time. Tonight, again I had tears in the eyes.
I was not surprised to see Tara leave. It is sad though.
Good night All Sweet Dreams

Evening beautiful!
Glad to see that you brought the Panicmobile home. Enjoy!
Rockstar INXS QUESTION: Did INXS give the rockers a particular selection of their songs to learn in case they get put into the bottom three? (They always seem to be surprised by the songs they're given to sing themselves out of trouble with.) Or were the rockers actually expected to know the hundreds of INXS songs beforehand?
CFR QUESTION: Would Indie be willing to send a Camp Freddy shirt all the way to Halifax, Nova Scotia (Canada) if I call you and Billy during the show? I'll even give you my best Sport Chalet for it! Since I can't see you guys live, I'll be happy to at least wear the shirt in support of CF!

I would love to see Mig, JD or Marty do some songs from Nick Cave, Tindersticks or even Iggy pop... I think these 3 guys would be the besty fit for the band. I think Jordis will be a great solo artist and she will be opening for the INXS on the road with the House Band... My .02

Hi Dave. It occured to me the night before last (as I watched Rockstar INXS) that you have really nice hair. What do you do it? It's really shiny and silky-looking. *oohs and ahhs*
Cheers!

That Ty Redeemed himself well. Nice job on the end there. Brandon needs to be more physical, I think. Is he connecting with the audience or do they just cheer everybody?(I meant that in a nice way)
The guys looked like they were having fun playing. Nice to see that, cause I wouldn't want their job to try and choose. I don't know what they are looking for, but I really hope they find it. Good luck Garry,Tim,Jon,Andy.
As for Poker: Ah send Kroegers ass back to Hanna, Alberta =P. That's when you play against him, that is.

Greetings, Dave
Don't know if you've seen this link, but I have found the most beautiful image of you and Carmen to use as wallpaper!!! (As well as many other wonderful images...)
http://www.dreamvision-entertainment.com/dvw/navarro/dave14.jpg
By the way...do you happen to have a twin brother anywhere in existence?? If so, please send his info to me!! LOL...This pagan girl sure would love to find another one like you around somewhere :) You seem to be such a beautiful person, and not just on the outside! You and Carmen are very lucky to have one another, as you seem to be so suited for each other...after watching your awesome wedding ceremony, I don't know anyone that could doubt it!
I have just recently found your site, and am so amazed that you take the time to be just a regular guy and spend time with everone here...it is truly very cool.
I love checking and reading what you have to say and seeing all the comments. Seems like this is a little communtiy of it's own.
Love your music and can't wait for more! Love RockStar INXS also! It really is getting harder to see them go each week...but at least JORDIS is still with us!!! What a presence she has, and her voice is just tremendous! I hope to be able to follow her career no matter how it turns out.
Hopefully you can answer this question at some time for me? Do you plan on having any 6767.com chats like the one from 7-11-04? Would love to be a part of that if my 39 years isn't too old to join in...LOL.
P.S. Is that a Monte Carlo in the pic??
I saw the picture and it made me miss my Monte so badly. I had an '87 that looked just like that with the exception of the wheels and some hot pink pinstriping inside and out....OH! Wishing I had it back!!! Sweeeeeeet Ride.
Much Love and Respect,

Everyone who likes, loves, enjoys, is addicted to Rockstar:INXS write to CBS, and tell them.
(and why you do)
Those bunch of loons at CBS. Oo.
I was incredulous this morning reading news articles online about CBS not being too thrilled with the show, and why..bla bla...
nonsense. Then I thought, wait, it's CBS.
They think Pop Idol is better. Why? Because people like watching the deluded people get up there. I can't stand a second of that show. It hurts my ears for one, and it's so mean and nasty. Really, I rarely watch reality tv anymore, it's so predictable now. And it's mostly not real at all. But I love Rockstar, and would still watch it even if Dave weren't in it. Okay, well, maybe not as closely! :D

Hi All,
Denise, thanks for the kind word.
Lorri I like your tag "Silverwinddancer". I hope 39 isn't too old to join in....I'm older then that by several years. I had a laugh thinking how young you were in comparison to this one joining in. I missed the chat last night, I had to work late. So how about this, if he does one here again, I will try to catch it too...you wouldn't be the oldest one...haha.

~What are your "must have" hair products? (not the flat iron, I'm talking product.) ~Who are your favorite clothing designers?
(You always look soo SMOKIN hot, I just had to ask!!)
~What would be your top 5 TV on DVD picks that you've seen this year? Im coming down with some kind of flu and need to rent something good.
Thank so much for doing this website...it's awesome that you make such an effort to stay connected to your fans.

Hey, D. Couple of questions for the show: are the contestants going to do a group song? You know, like Love Shack, or something? They should have a twist where they bring back one of the rockers that were dismissed, by popular vote. It would keep everyone even more on their toes. Have a great day, family.
Love,
Sue

Q: what do you see yourself doing after ROCKSTAR:INXS is over?
Q: are planning on touring at all in Canada Say like Ottawa or Toronto
Q: Is it possible that if somehow I got my phone number to you you could call me on August 12 th its my sweet 16 and I'd be happy if the only thing I got was a call from you

Hello Dave:
Sent an email to INXS this morning but not sure you'll get it.
It was disappointing not to be able to chat with you ON LINE yesterday. I have four questions:
1) Don't you think it would be interesting to have one of the rockers taking on VAN HALEN's "JUMP"? Or would it be too risky to tackle David Lee Roth's performance, wihtout ballet experience?
2) Won't you perform on Rockstar INXS at least once...pretty please?
3) What's next for Dave Navarro? Joining anothet band? Going solo?
4) How come you've never been interviewed by the Associated Press -I work in their technology department-, the AP has an entertainment team: Yesterday, they had Linda Carter coming over for interview.
An interview would be good ad for Rockstar. I can give you the email address of the entertainment editor.
Best,
Sylviane

QQQ: Thanks for the acknowledgment. It is nice to know that new ones are noticed and welcomed and it meant a great deal to me.
Now about crushes...an old thread from the other day..."crush" is a term that is used loosely and probably means lots of different things to different people. For me, because of the significant age difference and points where we are at in our lives, my crush on Dave is not based on a romantic kind of notion, but more of a connection of sorts...however, I am still trying to figure it out. Perhaps it is not about Dave at all, but about the path that this intrigue has taken me on. Perhaps I am to learn somthing from you all..or perhaps you are to learn something from me. For whatever reason, we are all brought here in this place and time...looking for something and maybe finding it. I must be finding something because I keep coming back...although I am still trying to figure. It is something about Dave though that has brought me here. I don't sound like a f*n professor.

Oh, one more thing, you are getting ragged on by some people that think you are selling out because you are being a host on TV. Please please don't let that get to you. There is art in everything. They are a shallow bunch that say "art is only cubism" or "art is only pastels" could be the same as saying "art is only being in Jane's Addiction" or "art is only being fucked up and down and out". Art is also celebration! Art is communication! Art is being married!Art is trying new things!

the comment form for your last post is closed so i will say my peace about willy wonka here.
were you not as upset that the original oompa loompa song was no in this movie? i was furious. that was my favorite part of the original movie and i think that was a big part of what made that one memorable.
(furious i tell you!)
second, i thought johnny depp was brilliant. absolutely!
third, im still pissed about the oompa loompa thing. im not sure i will ever get over it. even my three year old noticed that they didnt sing those songs. that would be like doing a remake of annie without putting her dog sandy in it.(oh, wait, they did do that didnt they)
point made!
p.s. im not always this bitchy, i just really love the original and this one touched a nerve.

btw, ive never been here before and i just wanted to say that i think your brilliant.
i dont know how you live everyday with all that going on in your mind. you must have some kind of guardian angel organizing your thoughts.
stay brilliant
p.s. i bawled my eyes out when i watched your wedding. so romantic.

I think you wrote that you have strange dreams, especially when you are sick.
Have you ever been asleep and had a song go through your mind? Woken up singing something? If so, what? Have you ever written one or had the inspiration for one while asleep?
I have woken up with music playing in my head and thought the radio was playing. Maybe I am just weird, but wondered if others have that happen. Over active imagination?

For all you Rockstar:INXS fans out there, the Monday night reality segment will now be shown at 8 et/pt Sundays, on VH1. Starting "immediately", or so they say.
Keep your eyes peeled this weekend.
What a shame---- cuz someone is going to be watching Monday night, and they will have missed it. So spread the word.
____
CBS Punts Monday's 'Rock Star: INXS' to VH1
CBS has apparently decided that three nights a week of its low-rated Rock Star: INXS is, well, excessive. It said Wednesday that it will shift the Monday-night edition -- which this week lost nearly half the audience of its lead-in, Two and a Half Men -- to cable sibling VH1 on Sundays at 8:00 p.m., effective immediately. The Tuesday and Wednesday shows will continue to air on CBS.

Hi Dave and hi all!
I have a few questions:
Since I haven´t read your book yet, what made you pull your act together for real, was it a person, or something else? Asking you because I´ve got a cousin who´s really deep into a lot of s**t right now, and nothing I am saying or doing seems to help. She´s got two kids,, and my heart really goes out to them. Could you maybe help me in some way...?
And something a little less serious...I´ve always been a huge RHCP-fan, and loved the work you did with the band. I really liked the kind of rawer sound you contributed with. If you have to pick a favourite RHCP-song,wich one is it?
I really adore the songs and lyrics on "Trust no one", and I think you´re awesome solo.
Is there any plans on another project?
Love Emelie

Oh thank god! The old oompa loompa song isn't in the new Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.
Now, I can safely go see it, without dreading that part. Whoever made that up in the original must have taken some really bad acid. :S
If people are 12 and discovering "Jane's" now, then great!!!!!
Most of us are older women with the crushes on Dave though...slightly older than 12! :D

Hey....I am not too far off 4x's the 12 comment. Though Crush is a word I wouldn't use. How about intrigued? I have read bits here and there about you Dave, not just here as the view elsewhere is insightful too. I have listened to some of your songs from RHCP and JA now. I knew a few I didn't know I had heard. I like your music, just didn't put a name to it before. Sorry, it's about the music and not who performs it sometimes for me.
It's okay to be thought of as a 12 year old, that's about the time I got my first album. I still own vinyl and the means to listen. I just added more music to the collection too. Jane's Addiction! I may be old, but I do buy. By the way Dave....
Have you gotten closer to adding a Merchandise link here? You wrote a while back you were looking into it. I would rather think that if I am buying your stuff, it was licensed and benefits you and the bands as artists. Tshirts would be great!!

Hey Stardreme,
I own lots of vinyl and a record player too. I just got 2 12" NIN remixes free yesterday from my local indie record store! Vinyl RULES.

Dave - If you're in regular contact with him, tell Perk he should fill in for Matt S. for the few VR dates he's expected to miss because of his broken hand. I don't think it would interfere with TPC or Banyan or Hellride dates and it would be nice to see him on that big of a stage again. Just a thought...

Good morning, everyone!
I didn't know that the gorgeous Carmen is going to be a spokesperson for Max Factor. That's awesome. Congrats to her.
Professor - Great posts. I know what you mean.
Stardreme - About weird and musical dreams, I've heard music in my dreams several times too. Pretty good music, if I do say so myself. :) I think a lot of people do. Unfortunately, most of us forget how it sounds as soon as we wake up!
Sue - Thanks for the heads-up about Step Up! If Dave and his musical minions are there, so am I. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Cheers,
-Denise

Good morning Dave and family!
Wow! We have a lot of new people around! Welcome!
Sorry I have been MIA lately, but alot has been going on.... One of my uncles passed away from cancer last week and that same day someone side swiped my car and didn't leave any note, but you can tell they cleared away the dirt to see what damage they did. Thankfully I have good insurance and don't have to pay all of the 2,798.00 it is going to cost to fix my car.
There is a good note though... I was promoted at work, and they are holding my position until September, so that I can spend time with my kids this summer.
Just wanted to share so you all would know why I have been gone....
As for RSINXS.... I think that Mig might be the one to get it.... I think the final four will be Jordis, Mig, Ty, and Marty.
Have a good day all!
