Nothin To Speak Of
1. Dave, you are listed as the featured artist on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson. Are you playing or just on talking about RockStar?
I'm going on to talk about the show. The first episode will have aired by then.
Today I am doing a bunch of phone interviews, gettin my hair did, going to the gym and chillin. Tomorrow is my last official day off for the summer. Yesterday I watched the entire Season 5 of OZ in one sitting. After about 4 episodes of that show, I start to feel as though I am in jail. What a way to celebrate our Independence. It was awesome!

How many cigarettes do you smoke per day? I'm on my 6th :-)

Dave
When the music press review the TPC debut album, obviously they will compare the band and the music with JA and possibly the other bands you've been in.Also i suppose this will happen in the interviews you all give with various music publications. With out a doubt this will happen.
How will you and the band deal with this unfortunate reality and get them to focus on the music that TPC has created, they are bound to drag up the past.
I'm sure Perry will face the same issue when TSP album comes out.

Hi everyone.
I can't wait to see Rockstar - but I need to know who's broadcasting it in the UK. It's probably VH1, but I'll have to check.
The recent advert pics look great - especially the Yamaha one.

^^^I'm looking forward to seeing the hair too.
You work it, fly-boy.
Phone interviews can only mean lots of great reading material for us! (Although, for you, that must mean answering a lot of the same questions over and over again. Ugh. Hang in there.)
Glad you had a relaxing 4th. I'm tempted to make an OZ joke, but I will refrain.
Take care, eveyone.

Dave,
Is there any chance you could put up the panic channel radio URL for ipod podcasts?
if i have the web address i can download all the episodes via itunes (if anyone wants to know how, make sure you have updated to itunes 4.9 then select - advanced - subscribe to podcasts, and enter the address)
This would be great Dave as i love the show but haven't got enough time to stay by the P.C.
Cheers and keep Rockin!

WHAAT happened Ryan? You can't post here? You just did! :)
There is defintely something wrong with the type-pad thingy here, almost everyone's having a problem posting. I'm sure no one is double or triple posting on purpose.
Or do you mean you can't post at the TPC board? I'm sure it's a mistake, your posts are never worthy of a banning.

"I need some tits, boss."
Season 5 was amazing. There are many questions going in to season 6..
First, What kind of sick shit is Schillinger going to do to Beecher for testifiing against him in the rape trial? Those familiar with old Vern's previous retributions towards Beecher have demonstrated the worst of humanity. God only knows what he will think of in the hole for 2 months.
Second, ole' Burr is furious over the death of Augustus. Will he immediatley go to war with the Italians, or the S.A's, specifically Morales? Or both? Grizzled Burr is a Vietnam Vet. Expect him to be ruthless.
Third, Will Dr. Nathan break down and marry Ryan O'Reilly? Will they have sex in the hospital?
I can't wait.

I can't find that Yamaha signature acoustic ANYWHERE. As of last week, the Guitar Center, Sam Ash, and several other music stores still have no word or way to order one, but the folks at Yamaha say to order it from a store. Musician's Friend is hosting that contest to win one, yet it's not for sale in the catalog. Anyone know what's going on with it?

Hey Dave,
Just got the email from Rockstar Go Home about the prizes, when I saw that the grand prize was $1,067 I immediately thought you had a hand in it, but then they explained further that the 106.7 is for KROQ. Living on the east coast, I’ll just continue to think of the prize as a homage to 6767.
Looking forward to Rockstar!

Dave, dont you think INXS are a crappy band....bad 80s keyboard pop..ughhh...
Dont you think they should just roll over and die....they are just milking the reality TV lemon and are probably running out of money so they need this publicity stunt...do they think we are totally stupid...GIVE UP losers make some room for young bands to come up....which is exactley what kind of show Id like to see you involved with...like a new band search or something...ok thats enough from me..peace out china

Been listening to Strays alot lately, and i just wanted you to know what a fantastic album (are they really albums anymore) it is. Very possibly one of the best Janes ever did, which is saying alot considering how long i have been a fan. Your music has had such a positive influence in my life, that i just wanted to say thanks for the good times.

Stray's is f'n awesome. There is plenty of dark Jane's music, for & from the dark time's. It's only appropriate, that they capped everything off with the incredibly positive & upbeat gift that is Stray's. Still get's me how the so called "fan's" cracked on the record because it wasn't the "same jane's". Why the fuck would it be!? Beside's, wouldn't that be just a TAD boring, and in actuality, exactly what Jane's isn't, if they made another "Dark" record? We love all the guy's for their vision, effort, and artistic ability, which is on full display on Stray's. Who doesn't change in 12 years? And who chide's someone for changing over the course of 12 years? There wouldn't have been a Stray's, and probably no Panic Channel either. Oh I forgot, it wasn't any good because Eric Avery wasn't on it *rolls em* If Stray's is indeed the last JA record (which would be fine, if that's how the guy's bounce the ball), then at least they left thing's on a positive note (literally), for us, and for them... dreaming of the riches.

Oz is pretty intense, but what a great show. Btw, I LOVED your vows to Carmen. If you could post them that would be cool.
And I really love Trust No One, esp your version of Venus in Furs and the whole progression of the album.

I much prefer Entourage. Adrian Grenier is a beautiful man! And Jeremy Piven is hysterical. Oh, and any show that opens up with a Jane's song HAS to be great. Did anyone see the one this week with Bob Saget as a pot smoking/hooker renting freak? SOOO funny!

Dave,
It's been a long while since I've posted anything, but after watching too much TV, I had to write something.
I've grown way past the point of being upset about Jane's breaking up. I'm actually happy it happened (remember, I didn't like Strays) I've given up the fact that you and EA probably won't ever do anything like Decon again. But it kills me that I'm never excited about anything you do anymore. This isn't a rip on TPC, but I loved that way back when, I'd hear you were going to be a part of some project, and I'd be the first in line to get a listen. I know you're not down with the "darkside" anymore as some of the kids posted about on here, but how can you just not want to let loose and give back something to the people that followed you throughout your entire career? With that being said, you really don't owe any of us JA lifers anything. You've given enough. It's just the overexposure, like too many TV shows, and the lack of inspiration into your guitar sound that kills me. I don't want JA to ever get back together, unless it's with the original four, of course. But I just think with all the shit music that's out there right now, you could still be that guy I look at in ten years and say, "He's still fucking killing it everynight." I wish you all the best and I hope TPC takes off, but I'll still be here on the ground looking for something to fill the void that was JA.
Quit trying to look so pretty and remember the old flames that were in love with you when you were a shy kid with dreads.
