Down Time

Well, week one is a wrap. Dana and Will have gone home. BTW, what a true gentleman Will was with his parting words to the band. Today I hung out at the house where all the kids are living. I gotta tell ya, man, I am in love with all of them. They are all such genuine and kind souls with a real passion for music and life. I sure am glad I don't have to make any decisions in terms of their fate. I am due for some down time and am off to see a movie with Riss. Just get out of my head for a couple of hours, ya know?

Wow

I could have not said it better myself. To bad you are famous and not just a confused guy like myself ( Not An Insult, Actually A Compliment ) I could use a friend who understands the noise in my head.

Peace

David

*nods* I kind of knew that Dana wouldn't get it, but I didn't think Will would've left so early... Either way, At least he was a gentleman about it right?

Dave, I have a question I've been dying to know the answer to!

The Song "Ted, Just Admit it..." What is it about?

Be Well,

Down time is good. Question, in the first show you told them all that they could come to you with questions. Have any of them, without being specific, requested your input, asked for help, pointers, direction, or opinion yet?

Posted by: Lyn at July 14, 2005 08:54 PM

Do you get nervous/anxious when they get ready to announce who is going to be eliminated?

Posted by: Cori at July 14, 2005 09:06 PM

Dave,

Let's face it Will sucked. He had a good bar band voice but no way was he gonna front one of the best rock bands of the 80s. That would be like you getting Jane's back together for a Greatest Hits album and having Scott Staap sing vocals instead of PErry. In my opinion you guys missed big time when you cut my friend from Boston on the last day of tryouts. Itw ould have been between him and Ty who I think takes the whole thing. Dude is powerful!

Hey Dave I was wondering how you can juggle everything, you really seem busy. So what movie did you go see? What other kind of things do you do to wind down? What is the one place you would be right now if you could go on vacation?

Thanks,
Cat

Dave, Fun show. I'm glad that you are a part of it.

Hey Dave, I think it is really cool the way all of the contestents rock out while the others are on stage singing, maybe if the world was more like that it wouldn't be such a bad place. always love..Shellee

DAVE! I haven't gotten a chance to check out your latest tattoo, the one on your chest/collar bone. well I'm not sure if it's the latest one, just assuming here. so what does it say?

Dave did you tape the auditions i.e. the people who didn't make it? Will we see any shows with "She Bangs"-types or just misses?

Posted by: Schwing at July 14, 2005 10:41 PM

BRO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

This is bad man. Very bad. Wake up Bro, before it's too late.

Dave,
Lovin' the show! So far I have agreed with the two that have left. Nothing personal, Im sure they are great people and all but neither moved me the least bit and could not see them fronting a band.
I agree with you, I wouldnt want to make this choice either...damn I could barely make up my mind who to vote for.
As the others have asked, I too was wondering what movie you went to see.
Also was re-reading post from earlier in the year...did you ever get to see The Crue live? you mentioned you would be going. Just curious and if ya did, what was your take on the tour.
Peace
Judi

What guitar strings do you feel work best with your PRS?

Posted by: daniel at July 14, 2005 11:09 PM

It is really cool seeing you as a part of that show. It's nice to see too that they're all pretty dang talented. Will was corny so I wasn't sad to see him go. Neal is by far my favorite. Also read you watch Blowout. Love it! What I wouldn't give for a Jonathan Antin long layer cut.

Gabriel, unless situations have changed, I understand Riss has been Dave's manager for awhile.

I've had the pleasure of meeting her, she's a very sweet, cool & kind lady!

Hi Dave and ya´all!

Rainy day here. Must be the best weather for creating things. I read somewhere that some of the best songs were written on a rainy day ( or under the influence.) Dave...talking about movies...do you have a favoutite one? I think it´s impossible to choose just one....

Another question...how does it feel to have such an impact and influence on people? It must be kind of weird....

Ok...I´m signing of now for a weeks vacation...computer-free. You guys have the best of times...and Dave....take care

Good morning!

Dave, are you going to give us a review of the movie? I get to see a movie this weekend (finally getting celebrate my birthday) and have a couple in mind. But would love to hear what you suggest or a review of what you saw to try and plan which one to see.

Hey, the second largest mall in America opened up about 20 miles from my home. Planning to check it out soon - any one want to go and explore it with me?

Lots of references this week to a 'rock' band called INXS. I remember an Australian 'pop' band from the 80's called INXS.
Will tune in on Sunday and see if they're one in the same. ;)

Dave, Just been listening to you playing NEVERMIND with the chili peppers. How did you feel playing that song?

Hi Dave,

Will there be a new CF Radio tomorrow?

You know, I like listening to Dicky on the weekday morning show, but you know you and Billy would just ROCK IT!
