Tonight On An All New CFR: L.A.

520_02The big winner of our weekly poker game last night was Jerry Cantrell taking first spot followed by Greg Simon in second. They both walked away with cash winnings. I was poised to have a great shot at the money but I sometimes get impatient and "bully" the table a little more often than I should. (I like to get my heart racing... Call me an addict.) Jerry said those words that all some-time bluffers hate to hear. After what seemed to be a half an hour of decision time, he says, "What the hell, I'll call." He called my $1,800.00 raise and I had shit. Done. It was a great evening though, we were kind of celebrating my birthday early as my wife will be off shooting a movie on the 7th. Greg Simon is kind of a newbie to the game, but he has two major qualities that puts him in the final hands every week. He is really smart and really patient. Nice going guys! Good job! Whatever!

Tonight is an all new CFR so tune in as we debut a track from the Camp Freddy album. Billy and Mike Clink mixed a couple of tracks this week.

5. Are you responsible for that rockin' intro to TDDUP?

No, that is the fine work of Jay Gordon from the band Orgy.

OK, who's about tonight? I'm planning to do an all nighter tonight to prepare myself for appearing in my friend's low budget Zombie movie tomorrow!

Dave, sorry about your losing....and hey, what happened to "I am not going to be playing much more poker"? You addict, you! :-)

Hope y'all are having a good weekend....and I agree with Mike--what is the pic supposed to be?

Happy(Early)Birthday, Dave!!
Can't wait to hear the Camp Freddy music tonight. Like Billy says, it's kinda "fortuitous" having your own radio program for the world premiere. Do what ya gotta!! So what are you doing on your birthday with the Mrs. away? Whatever it is, I hope you enjoy your special day.

Posted by: bryce at June 4, 2005 05:29 PM

On the Deconstruction song "Wait for History", you and Eric Avery play a snippet from "Trois Gymnopedie" by French composer Erik Satie. [Starting at 1:42, during the sample of a man explaining the formation of the universe.]

Whose idea was that to play "Gymnopedie"--- yours or Avery's?

Are you a fan of Erik Satie?

Do you listen to classical music often?
If so, who are your favorite composers?

That's so awesome about the intro...i always thought it was dave playing, given that he's a guitar player. But Jay Gordon from Orgy is pretty rad too! two awesome guys!
