CFR Uploaded
Last Saturday's CFR loaded now!
1. Dave did I read correctly the other day when you said you LIKED The Phantom of the Opera movie?
Yes, I saw the stage production twice when I was young. I loved it. The movie was recently added to the Direct TV Pay Per View thing and I watched it. I gotta say, I really enjoyed it. I don't really know why. It brought back a lot of memories and the lead actress was amazingly beautiful. That's kind of all I needed.
2. Paris or Nicky?
Paris. Paris is like Hawaii and Nicky is like the Bahamas. I prefer Hawaii.
Mary Kate or Ashley?
Mary Kate's issues make her the more attractive of the two.
3. What about the Satellite Party stuff, Dave? Any thoughts?
I just checked it out. I think it sounds very cool. To be honest, it sounds a lot more like what Perry wanted to do to begin with. With a voice like his, it's hard for it to not be great.

Thank you, you saved my monday.
I'm sitting at work, tuned in your stream, a boiling cup of coffee in front of me and following the show; while i'm doing my work of course. great way to start into this week. Best wishes from germany.

Dave, can I just say what a better radio show it is with out Donavan Screech ....what's his chops? You and billy rule but with him its like theres a dentist going to work on your eardrums. Doesnt he have some lawns to mow or something? He talks so much baloney and couldnt sing at a karaoke bar full of drunk Toyota executives....
BTW. Why dont you guys (Billy and Yourself) do a tv show. Every ones had a gut full of Oprah and Doctor F******g Phil....YOu could do calling up the girls from the weekly live, camp teddy could be the inhouse band.
All kinds of mayhem, play home movies ect etc..not the unwrapping the christmas present type either.
Anyway keep up the good work.

You gotta hear the episode of stern about Beetles diaper and how they were worried about the plane ride reek possibility. After gigs, they run hot water in the hotel bath tub and beetle does his cleanup! Beetle got pissed at Howard for airing this!
Cause you know...hes the baddest...

Hi Dave!
Dave, nice to hear your positive thoughts on Corgan's new album. I myself haven't heard it yet so I'm kinda challengeable to comment. But what about the new Audioslave album? Have you heard it? I must say I kinda like it. They're performing here in Helsinki on Wednesday and I'm very excited to see them live for the first time! Morello rules!
All my best to you and of course the Fam!

Rainy day... nothing to do. Great to listen to CFR, but at least I got a holiday.
Last weekend we had a celebration of the midnight sun and I was up for two days. Thank god not three days...
Feeling kind of dizzy after that, but I had a great time.We went to this island by rowing boat catched up some fishes and grilled them and got ready for a party. Everybody had a great time. Not a single fight or bad feelings.
In the party we had bands playing, and I managed to play the classic "All along the watchtower".It went well if you count the bottle of scotch I had been drinking.
And of course at evening the true nature of a finnish woman turned out fine. Had an awesome sex and felt like a real man...
Everybody have a good time and I'll catch you up later in here... Now I'm of to watch Sin city the movie (not the pornographic one), and I'm expecting a lot. I have heard it's really dark and gothic. Dues all respect to the original comic book...
Have fun but work hard in your mind so you'll come alive...!

???? --------------------------------
"Mary Kate's issues make her the more attractive of the two."
Huh? Please explain.
Is she appealing because she's so thin, or because she's a poor, misunderstood, tortured soul who needs to go to dangerous extremes to be thin? Is it a sympathy thing? (I'm grasping here, trying to understand.)
???? --------------------------------
Anyway, I wish you, Dave, and everyone else a lovely day.

Hi Dave,
I've been listening to Kettle Whistle a lot lately. I'm so glad you guys put some live songs on that album. Three Days is absolutely amazing and I would take that version over the studio version anyday. I was just wondering, how come there has not been any Jane's live albums released other than what is on the Triple X album, Live and Rare, and Kettle Whistle? Jane's is without question one of the greatest live bands of all time and definitely the best live band of the last 20 years, easily! So why not release a show from like '90 or '91? Full of Perry's rants, exploding guitars, tribal drums, pounding bass, and all those little things that make a Jane's show so unique and special. Did you guys record all of the shows back then? How hard would it be to put something like that out on the shelves? Is there anything the fans can do to help?
Posted by: Sungrazer at June 27, 2005 07:24 PM
Camp freddy in SF?
I heard Billy say (on CFR radio) he and Donvan will be in SF this weekend. Will there be a show? If so do you know where and when?
Thanks

Dave, any chance of you bringing OpenID here?
It's looking pretty good from what I've seen, and could really help with the trolling issues that arise from time to time.

Hey Dave,
Last night I was really surprised to see that they show TDDUP on a Finnish channel. I swear I didn't know and I swear cos' I didn't know! I think it's quite surprising 'cos we've got like maybe five domestic channels here in Nowheria. Anyway, yesterday's episode was the one with the bridesmaids measureme and where JA heads to Europe. I don't know how many episodes I've already missed, can anyone help?
Peace out!

My morning is off to a great start...I was watching Meet the Barkers on the treadmill this morning (they totally tried to rip off your Bachelor/Bachelorette party btw...Shanna kept wanting to know where her lap dance and strippers were...rofl) anyway...just as they were preparing to sit down for Christmas dinner they started playing "Hungry"...yay!!! That was a nice surprise to hear Dave unexpectedly early this morning.
Then I go out the front door to get my newspaper and there, on my porch, is a UPS envelope containing my two Dave and Carmen PSA's from Until!!!
With a start like that, I am surely destined for a great day...happy Tuesday family!!!
And....a big, Happy, Happy Birtday wish to Anthony...aka Whitepony...I hope you have an especially beautiful day!
Posted by: Cori at June 28, 2005 06:29 AM
duh...Happy BIRTHDAY to Anthony...
obviously, I need coffee now....
Posted by: Cori at June 28, 2005 06:32 AM
Thanks Colleen! I believe Dave quoted something from A Few Good Men the other day, and now I've got another one that suits my ignorance perfectly:
"How is your father?"
"Died seven years ago."
"Well, don't I feel like a fucking asshole!"
Take care, everyone!

Dave, are you affected by Earthquakes, Mudslides, Tsunamis, or Wildfires?
Posted by: ..::Jess::.. at June 28, 2005 07:42 AM
Happy Birthday, Anthony!
And I just gotta say that "TDDUP" kicks "Meet the Barkers"' ass! Travis and Shana seem like nice people and all, but they're nowhere near as engaging and interesting as Dave & Carmen.
Have a great day, all.

Happy Birthday, Anthony!
Good morning, 6767ers...
Posted by: Junebug at June 28, 2005 08:12 AM
True Denise...but, unfortunately, TDDUP is no longer on TV and not obtainable (apparently)on DVD so...one has no choice but to watch the flavor of the month ;)
Posted by: Cori at June 28, 2005 08:30 AM
I know what you mean, Cori. With MTV-style shows, sometimes you gotta take what you can get. LOL. At least we have 6767TV. :)
Posted by: Denise at June 28, 2005 08:42 AM
"Dave, are you affected by Earthquakes, Mudslides, Tsunamis, or Wildfires?"
oh jees - you guys are really racking your brains all day to think of questions you dont want to know the answers to/already know the answers to.
Very sad.
Dave is hardly gonna say he likes forest fires is he!!
it just bugs me.
A situation comes to mind one time ages ago when dave said he liked rainey days - as soon as he typed it there was about 30 posts repeating that rainey days are the greatest things ever created...yesmen.com
it annoys me and i have nothing to with dave.
people are scared even to mention perrys name here without putting it under a different ID (top of this comments) incase it may cause offense.
Very sad.

Hows every1 in 67land....
Been listening to CFR, I also think that this would make for great TV, something along the line of David Lee Roths TV show...
We know what you need, only right here on DAVE TEEEEVEEE!
Revolution Solution eh! any thoughts. Does anyone in the UK know what time Velvet Revolver are doing their set at Live8 on saturday?
Posted by: tonto at June 28, 2005 12:02 PM
Hey rxs... That makes sense; I understand that feeling. But it's a statement that could be misinterpreted by someone reading this, especially if they suffer from those same issues. A lot of girls and women are out there starving themselves to death to achieve some unrealistic idea of beauty, and some sense of control, and all that other stuff... and it's just so sad to see.
As a woman, I guess I have a soft spot for "female" issues like that...
Anyhow, it's all good in the hood. Peace to all.
Posted by: Denise at June 28, 2005 12:41 PM
... not that eating disorders are strictly female. It's tragic for anyone to feel that way.

Now that iTunes 4.9 supports podcasting and makes it all so super easy to enjoy podcasts, what are the chances that you guys might start submitting a podcast of Camp Freddy Radio for all us iTunes/Podcast subscribers?

Hi Dave, I'm recently started listening to RHCP and am a really big fan of the OHM era. But because that era has been and gone 10 years ago, I cant find much on any of the songs live, as RHCP really ignore the album. So my question to you is....
What are some of the most memorable OHM era shows?
and
Which OHM era songs translated the best live and got lots of crowd reaction etc?
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME DAVE.
PS. cant wait for a new solo album!

1. can you comment on the Stephen Perkins celebrity blog commentary for Rock Star:INXS?
2. Are you going to Camp Freddy show in SF, or staying for Rokbar opening?
3. Will Paris be there?
