Bonjour

Jcoutside9Not much going on today. Going to the gym, chillin... Nothing special. Tomorrow we start preproduction on Half Hearted as we are going to re-track it with Howard Benson on Thursday. I guess we just kind of feel that we could add to it a bit. That's kind of the blessing of living with your material for a while, you gain perspective. We love the version we have done now, but it never hurts to see if one can better himself. It's not like the old one is going anywhere. I read a cute little story about me on a website this morning. It was all good till the divorcee writer chose to attack my marriage. I was compelled to send her the following letter:

"I read your little story on me. Good stuff. I am thrilled to know that
I have been a part of making (xxxxxxxx.xxx) work. Congratulations on the
launch of your new site. All those years at Columbia are really
starting to pay off. Your daughters must be so proud.

Listen, feel free to have fun at my expense, but be careful about what
you write regarding my marriage. As in:

"We could envision Carmen, deep into month five of their six month marriage."

After all, we aren't the ones who are divorced. As I said, I am fair
game but my wife is another story. I am very protective when it comes
to my marriage. I guess that's just the kind of husband I am.

Dave Navarro

P.S. Cute picture!"

"Senator, we're both part of the same hypocrisy... but never think it applies to my family."

I have chosen to omit her name and address... that's how I roll. I must say, however, that I have yet to hear back from her. I love this Internet shit! More to come.

Gotta love Goolge - the article comes up first on a search for that quote.

Don't you find it odd, that people that don't know you personally like to make comments about what's going on in your personal life like that? Speculations, my dear Watson. Good for you Dave for sending that person a letter. Maybe they can wrte something more true next time. And the funny thing is-The more people talk crap the more I like to prove them wrong. Do you also feel that way? Give them some real information they can write about. :-)

Good response Dave!

I try to understand people, and sometimes I just don't get it. Last year, I received a very disturbing call about my spouse. It wouldn't have been as disturbing if it hadn't been a complete and utter lie. Why do we have to fight for the truth?

Way to go!

Always,
me

NICE WORK, DAVE! thats the kinda thing i would do aswell, i am also fair game, i might even have a laugh at it, but dont F**K with the person i am in love with, cos then you are asking for a few problems! again Dave, nice work. you did it in a professional manner and that always hurts most. Good on ya

Way to go Dave! :)

It's amazing to me how Hollywood at times isn't all that different from generic High School drama. "He said, she said"....next thing you know everyone thinks they know something about you and your relationship, when they really know nothing at all. Only in Hollywood it's printed and circulated, ugh. I don't know how you handle that shit dude, but kudos to you for somehow dealing with it. Probably don't have to tell ya, but the best "fuck you" you can give them is to continue to have an amazing marriage to an amazing woman. :)

Drama aside, hope everyone here has an enjoyable first day of summer! Revel it, bask in it, and if you can, share it with someone you love! It's a new season, a time for change, and a time for life to be even more exciting.

Happy Solstice everyone!

Peace!
- Sean

Jesus, that lady needs a good talking to. How dare she write about your marriage!

Apart from that horrible person, have a great day Dave!

Kudos to you, Dave, for defending your wife's honor. Your letter says it all.

Cori -- I was just posting the SAME thing about the butt-waxing. You beat me to it. LOL.

Kudos to you, Dave, for defending your wife's honor. Your letter says it all. I know that Karma will take care of this.

Oy vey... I hate this crappy work Internet connection. Sorry for the (sorta) double-post.

Dave - when you're depressed or angry, and you don't feel like working out, what do you do? My 3rd week of working out has been derailed.

Hey Dave,
I was watching E! and they have the celeb couple show on. Is it true that when you met Carmen you were enchanted by her eyes so much that shortly after you bought her 1200+ pairs of sunglasses so no other men could see her eyes? at least that is what they reported.

Thanks a bunch,
Catiyana

If she has to make up shit for her new site, it won't last long. If she has any dignity, she'll post your reply and apologize, but that probably won't happen, cause if she did, she wouldn't have wrote it in the first place.
"After all, we aren't the ones who are divorced. As I said, I am fair game but my wife is another story. I am very protective when it comes

Gold-pure gold, lol.

Dave -
What are your views on...

Nick Drake
and
Jeff Buckley

in my opinion two amazing artists that left us too early... any thoughts?

That's the type of husband you should be. Marraige is a special thing and most people don't think of it that way anymore. I bet she was surprised to get a response from you, haha :)

Dave,
I just read the peice written that you are reffering too. I think she/he/they or whoever wrote this obviously doesn't really get out much. I believe they also remarked on the shirt change for the wedding. Well from what I saw on the show and what I know from getting married myself, This is a very special day and the groom and bride get nervous just before the walk down the aisle, and from what I saw you were nervous and wanted everything to be perfect. As it should, you should always feel comfortable about YOUR WEDDING, and they should be happy that you guys were kind enough to let the world witness all the events leading up to the wedding and the actual wedding.

Also as far as the waxing being "the symbol of male narcissism", Alot of guys do that or shave their asses. Lmao I think this is a person who should do more research on men grooming now a days. As all my friends are guys and some of them have admitted to doing so as well because it feels cleaner. I have also sent an email telling the person that in my opinion they should look into it more before trying to bash anyone. I love the show and don't get bothered with people who make uneducated statements. We (your fans) still love you, and you do look great.

Sincerely,
Catiyana

hey, someone hook a brotha up with the link to what Dave is talking about

Posted by: Six7Six7 at June 21, 2005 01:52 PM

well, that's just plain silly. i mean, one of the things i admire about you most besides your amazing talent is how down-to-earth, open, fun, and loving you and carmen seem to be. you're kinda like role models for what i hope to find someday. i guess some people need to criticize in others what they lack themselves.

i've dealt with a few online h8ers here and there and my response is always to laugh my assterisk off. "choose to be amused"--that's my motto. deflect that negative energy or turn it into something positive.
