Batman Begins
Good morning. Tonight, I am going to the Batman Begins premiere. This is a film I have been looking forward to for quite a while. It is supposed to be a darker and more accurate account of the Dark Night than the earlier versions of the Batman films. My wife is out of town working on a movie, so I am going with Brooke. They usually throw big after parties at premieres like this but since TPC is going into the studio tomorrow, I am probably going to skip out and get some rest. I kind of just want to see the movie. I'll have a review tomorrow. Apart from that, nothing really special going on.

ok, have fun Dave, if you see Tom and Katie, be careful not to look directly into Tom's eyes....
However, if you see Christian, tell him jezzi says hi, and wants to know if he still has his chainsaw!!
jezzi(nothing special going on? Dude!!! YOU are special!!)

I am partial to the old school 1960's Batman show on TV, that ruled.
Posted by: Schwing at June 6, 2005 11:28 AM
that's awesome. I can't wait to see the movie.

Hey Dave!! Your friend Larry B. here, saying hello! :D
I spent my weekend listening to Deconstruction... and goddamn fuck, it's a beautiful record.
In the song "America", the mix is beautiful! The sound of the bass & the guitar confuses me... When I listen, I can't recognize if the sound comes from one instrument or the other.
Anyway, how da fuck did you come up with the idea of the "riff" on the chorus of "America"?? I't wicked... tritones and 7th major... fucking psychotic riff.
Much love to you and yours, your faithful virtual lover...

Nothing really special? Oh, tomorrow is the really, really special thing - your birthday! Have a great time at the movie; can't wait for your review!
BTW - did you know you were on Access Hollywood today? They were talking about your MAP award.
Peace and love,

Hey Dave and 6767,
Can't wait to see the new Batman either, it looks fucking boss. I know I'm not the only one here who wrapped a dark blanket around him and walked around the house, arms extended, proclaiming "I'm Batman!" as a little kid. :) Ah, good times.
QUESTION FOR DAVE: Speaking of Batman, is there an extended deeper meaning with the shoulder tattoos of the bat symbol? A relation to Bruce Wayne's character and history?
Enjoy the day everyone!
- Sean
P.S. Happy (early) Birthday Dave! Just in case I'm not around tomorrow. :)
Posted by: Sean at June 6, 2005 11:49 AM
Sean, I still do the cape thing, only I also wear those bright yellow thong britches that Robin had, and I chant, "I'm Batman-and Robin-and Cat Woman-grrrowwlll"

Kyle, I'm so sorry. Remember that things will get better. That's the upside to things being bad. They have to improve. Even if it takes some time.
Dave, any good day is something special. You of all people should know that.
I hope we all have a good peaceful week.

Sorry if you have answered this question before. I love "Then She Did" of the Ritual album. I seem to recall you stating how much that song meant to you musically. Can you elaborate? Thanks, man!

Dave,
It seems to me that when it comes to social issues and human interaction questions, you always take the high road and the level headed, diplomatic, common sense approach.
Based on that, I would think that you have excellent relations with friends and loved ones in your life.
That being said, how is it that you and Perry just can't seem to stay together? Even if all the fault lies with Perry, doesn't your exceptional attitude towards people allow for his apparent shortfalls?
It is a shame and a waste if a combo so brilliant is dead due to either or both of your stubborness.
The plain truth is the both of you together are far better than anything you've done separate.
Why not take the high road in this instance and simply make a phone call to patch things up?

Dave, could you do a fan a huge favor...
I'm in love with this girl but that's irrelevant; we're just friends. We fight so often though... and she currently says she hates me and this has gotta seem like an idiotic teenage plea but I think she'd see a little side of it if you could just like, tell her I'm sorry? I've said it to her and she just doesn't want to forgive... her name is Brittany and I swear to god she's an angel...

Oh my god! i can't wait for the new batman...i love love love christian bale and christopher nolan is an amazing director. i'm glad someone took the reigns away from joel schumaker...who turned the series into shit...tim burton was the man in directing the first two batman movies. this one looks massively promising especially with Bale...who was in one of my fav movies of all time...American Psycho...brilliant movie and even better book...i strongly recommend both. can't wait...let us know how it is dave!! happy birthday eve!
and steelkitten...i LOVED LOVED LOVED "Saw"...a really well done psychological horror movie for once. little known fact...the 2nd guy in the room (the photographer) is actually teh director and writer of the movie and is australian...and has one of the best lines in the movie "I don't care if you covered yourself in peanut butter and had a 15 hooker gang bang!!" lol. good times!
much love!!

i have to say other than the batman movie that Tim Burton directed, i've been really disappointed with the rest of the batman movies. i too am hoping this new one redeems the others. can i request "dave's quick-capsule-movie-review" the very second you get home? tomorrow i would imagine you are gonna relax and hire french maids to pamper you all day long while you lounge and take it easy. you shouldnt even get online for the blessed day of your birth. tomorrow's all bout you big guy! happy B-day in advance.

I hope you have recieved great gifts today, although I believe you are living out your dreams and that must be the greatest gift of all!
I just saw the 'Until there is a cure'- pictures of you and Carmen (here's the one of you alone: http://img138.echo.cx/img138/6924/davenaavarro1qz.jpg , the rest can be found at www.until.org ) ... I wonder if you get notified every time a picture of you gets printed or distributed and stuff, or are you sometimes surprised by photos you haven't seen? Besides candids, I guess... The Carmen- pic you hadn't seen from the 4 inches- book sparked this question...
Anyhow, have a great day! I'm sending you many birthday- hugs from Sweden!! Wow, I've never been so cheesy in a post haha :)

Happy Birthday "D-Man"! I'm right with you, on the Batman tip. Can't wait for your review. This is my most anticipated movie of the summer by far, and I also can't wait for the video game. If depict's the movie anywhere nearly as accurate as the "Revenge of Sith" game, it's going to be wicked insane. June 15th, saw the commercial for it yesterday. BTW, about Batman. Someone made the comment, that they "didn't get Batman, because he had no power's, and was just a regular dude". That's WHY Batman rocks. His power, is the fear he strikes in his enemies. Which is something that's basically been lost, or glossed over in favor of making Batman into Kid-friendly movie's (and the old TV show). In THIS movie, they should get it right though (his insecurities, anger issues, resentment's, and his battle with the darkness within hismelf). But to me, the greatest part about Batman, is he IS just an ordinary guy, with nothing to lose...and that mean's he's just plain dangerous. Also, the new/old Batmobile they're using is f'n AWESOME!
peace all

A-U-T-OMATIC, so in love with you! That's right, our own Dave does indeed share a birthdate with the one and only, his royal highness, Prince! The purple badass is 47 today! I like this quote of his the best:
"Cool means being able to hang with yourself. All you have to ask yourself is 'Is there anybody I'm afraid of? Is there anybody who if I walked into a room and saw, I'd get nervous?' If not, then you're cool."
Let's not forget the contribution he made to Mrs. Navarro early in her career, which indirectly led to Mr. Navarro being able to meet her eventually and find happiness! Very cool.
"It's not unusual to be loved by anyone"-Mr. Tom Jones is 65 today! We all need to stop and say a big ass Thank You! to Mr. Jones who decided he'd use an unknown guitarist on this recording. A guy that was only 16 at the time I believe. That guy was named Jimmy Page. The rest is history.
And in the only case where I've ever mentioned a celebrity that has gone onto the big lights in the sky, I'd only be remiss if I didn't mention that Mr. Dino Paul Crocetti, otherwise known as Dean Martin, would've been 88 today. You can read his bio here, but I'd just like to say I feel it's appropiate to remember the joy and entertainment he brought to the world, much like our own Dave is to this generation-funny, entertaining, musically gifted, and a true delight to be around-the epitome of the word "COOL". http://www.deanmartin.com/BIOGRAPHY.htm

my question for you this week is, do you/have you ever had problems with your wrists in regards to playing? tendonitis or anything? i've got one reconstructed wrist & i'm scheduled for a surgery on the other this summer. it's changed my style a bit & it's still kind of a bummer but, i'm trying to record all guitars & bass before then so, i'm cutting it close.
just curious...

DAVE-
I figured I wouldnt post again at this page, cause Im hated but I recieved enough love the other night to get my balls outta my purse and type. To get your attention: I had an orgy experience with a porn star after work. She was intimidatingly beautiful, so I checked her in gawking and told my friend bout her. He said he was gonna hook me up with this Texan when she comes down for dinner...Sure..shell want nothin with check-in boy. Anyway an hour later:my friend has me a date, shes married but diggin me. Half hour later were talkin and she reveals shes a porn star. Went on a two hour date, then returned to her room four three hour orgy. We put a hurtin on this girl from 1 am to 4 am, and she was the nicest person and really down to earth.
Read her bio, it would be so cool if you could help this special women. In her bio you will reveal she has a special way with people and sticking up for whats right like equality. Her names Cayce, Ill keep her last name out for the record.

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME, THIS IS A PERFECT REASON TO STAY SOBER AND HAS LIFTED MY SPIRITS. THIS GIRL WILL NEVER KNOW SHE HELPED SOMEONE SEE A GLIMPSE OF HAPPINESS IN A DARK PLACE.
Question-she said she would meet us halfway to hang out some time? Should I do a video?
I know it could haunt me, but what an opportunity. Please respond-this is the coolest thing that has happened to me since recovery. On drugs this happens all the time you just dont enjoy it
