6767 TV Beta 2

Whiteblack_1OK. Here it goes. 6767 TV Beta 2. We are still working out the bugs and all of the content may not be fully loaded yet. Once it is, we will be changing content and adding new "living answers", straight from the whorse's mouth. Thanx to Robert Chafino for putting his entire life on hold over the weekend to make this possible.

Dave,

So I saw the trailer for the new movie "Herbie: Fully Loaded" and the song Stop! was playing (assume it'll be in the soundtrack). Did you guys shop that song to help pay off debts like that Coors commercial or were you approached by the movie makers?

Posted by: rick at May 16, 2005 12:52 PM

Well done lads! the perfect set up before I fly there tomorrow. Fuck Yeah! 6767 TV and a TPC show! It makes a Monday seem like Christmas...

UC ~ Dude. Cool it man. I know who actually did say that in an interview. It was John Frusciante. lmao. :D
I dunno why someone keeps saying that to you. Makes no sense, unless they think you're Fru!
Hey and even if you were gay, vegan, vegetarian, I'd be fine with that.

Hi Dave, Hi everyone!
On Saturday I went to see Billy Idol, Garbage and some other good bands at a radio concert they do every year. Loved Garbage! Billy Idol was my fave. Awesome on stage. It was the 2005 HFStival, my 1st one. I wasn't able to see the last 2 bands, Coldplay and the Foo Fighters since it started raining really badly. They stopped the show so we decided to leave. Once we got out and in our car the rain stopped and we heard that the show had continued. I was so mad. I really wanted to see the Foo Fighters. Hopefully they came again to play a show around here.
Dave you played HFStival 2003 in DC at the RFK stadium with Janes. You were a surprise band, wish I could've gone, do you remember about it? Can you please tell me about the show? How was it? Anyone got pictures?
Sorry for so much questions, I just really want to know about it. Hope everyone's good.

Love
AER
Gonna try to watch tv.

Posted by: Danielle at May 16, 2005 02:24 PM

Cori-Ylais is correct with the "keepin it green". But my question to Dave was kinda like say I tell you "I shot up with a bum on a number of occasions, and am waiting for my STD tests and describe how tough sobriety has been" at a meeting. Then someone raises there hand and says "thanks for keepin it green". I sometimes interprit it as sayin thanks for remindin me how shitty life is where you are today. Or if someone relapses then that comments made. It just seems like an arrogant/negative way to respond depending on the situation and person of course. I didnt understand the term early in sobriety so I thought they were saying "thanks for puffin at rehab..I remember how fun it was to smoke pot. Or thumbs up or some shit???
I was clueless...HOPE IM HELPIN CLARIFY.

Ylais-you on a road of recovery? That would be good to hear if all is goin good.
Of course I get the feelin you dont dig my internet buddy "Creepy Styley" Hope you wont hate me too! One time I gave Creepy a compliment and Jezzibel decided I was evil and out to get her and even though I was posting as other people! Anyway if you are on that road I mentioned...keep a strait path so them fuckers cant say "thanks for keepin it green" when you tell em your screwin up.

My favorite personal slogan is "Hey....Boots...keep the cotton outta the spoon"

My favorite AA one is "theres a slip under every skirt" although some would say it sickens em.

Hey Dave....before you met Carmen...ever think about workin your 13th step?

Hey Dave, I love yer new Dave tv trip (what a soul kiss to yer fanz) way cool, Heres a question fer ya, If Robert Plant called ya up and said Hey I always respected yer work, and would love to have you be part of God forbid A Page wake, But maybe a mtv thing, or a side tour or sumpthin creative, I know he's kinda outta the light (tee hee) But would ya move on that? Jest a thought Just like i'd love to see Prince and Page on the same stage. I know that he has said in interviews that Janes was one of the few that got it right , and also said he saw you a few times and you were one of his faves I think he said public image meets zepp or sumpthin to that effect anyway I know you grow tired of the zepp comp- but if I was gonna be slagged into a cat Zepp would be a honor Stupid question I guess but how I would love to see you rockin out with the old fart!!! I grew up with him and you and ate yer art like food soul food luv ya Me

Hey Dave, just finished watching my first ever episode of Dr 90210 (just started screening in Australia). Dr. Rey's wife is hot! Cool show, i'm some what addicted now. Just saw the episode where he is looking at buying a new house. Can't work out why he wouldn't let his wife come and see you guys though - maybe he had an important taekwondo clan meeting to go to.

Anyway, how much would donovan look like david bowie if his hair was blonde?

Dave and Robert, thank you again for 6767-TV. Very, very cool and gracious. :)

Question: Dave, exerting a lot of physical energy into a performance, especially for guitar players, takes a toll on the back after a while. I know you lift weights, do yoga, etc. But have you ever found it necessary to go see a chiropractor, acupuncturist, or masseause...if so, which was better?

And for those who have some miraculous chance of seeing NIN within the next month...DO IT! I just got back from the Hammerstein Ballroom show in NYC and feel utterly destroyed by an amazing performance. And Trent's arms are RIPPED! I know he got sober, started living healthier and working out...but, shit! Dude's like the incredible hulk singing songs about fist-fucking. And the opening band, The Dresden Dolls are REALLY great also. It's amazing the wall of sound created by just two people with drums, a keyboard and vocals. They do two mind blowing covers of War Pigs and Amsterdam (sort of rare Bowie track). I totally fell in love with Amanda, the lead singer/pianist. Not just her looks, but the incredible passion she puts into a performance with so much talent to back it up was incredibly attractive. Too bad she's dating the drummer....

Anyways, goodnight all!

Peace,
- Sean

Dave, just re-watching the first episode of TDDUP...and the whole discussion about who to invite to your wedding (and everyone having an opinion on that) and you not feeling bad about overlooking certain relatives who had not been there for you...

Which way did you end up going on that...did you invite who you wanted or do the "right thing" and invite everyone regardless of their level of closeness.

(I am approaching my 10th Wedding Anniversary and still have two family members giving me shit about not "doing the right thing"...I opted to just invite those close to us to my wedding)

Boots, in response to your post/reply yesterday-

sorry about the novel, sometime's once i get going i can't...STOP (obviously).

also, i wasn't trying to make rule's, rather strong suggestion's, as Dave himself has kind of asked people to keep personal shit to the board, or their blog's. Tried to reinforce that people can boast all they want there. Sorry for coming off so strong, and so long though. Can't wait for full fledged 6767tv... wonder if we'll get to see the spread movie again... or maybe some out-take's from "Three Day's". And of course, the possibilities of transmitting live show's to those of us who don't live in LA, well that would be grand. Anyway, hope everyone get's to smile at some point today!

wow, someone mentioned the Foo Fighter's playing HFS, and how they were at their first HFS, damn i feel old. It's been 10 years since I LAST saw Foo Fighters haha. Jane's killed as usual at the HFSTival, though I hate radio show's. 45 min set's are a joke. And, unfortunately, the "kid's" these day's, that drive the marketplace *even MORE unfortunately*, just couldn't figure out where they fit in, with the Jane's reunion scenario, and Perry is too poetic for the radio these day's. It has to be said straight up, & bluntly for the 'youngin's to understand/appreciate. No metaphor's allowed...

Dave, I know of all the Beatles you have said you are a John Lennon fan, as am I, but I love love love George. I would love to know what you think of his guitar playing and if you have any favorites? "Cheer Down" (post Beatles) is amazing, he plays some amazing slide. Plus anyone who is man enough to still be best friends with a guy after he steals your wife has to be pretty fucking cool. Any thoughts? Leah

Hi 6767 family,

I just wanted to say a quick something to Dave:

"THANK YOU"

(you'll never know how much)

And hats off to ya for putting up with my periodic carelessness - I can be quite blind/naive at times. But mostly thank you for looking out for me. You are awesome and very good guy. Carmen is a lucky lady.

Good morning/afternoon,

I hope everyone is enjoying themselves and having a fabulous day...

First off, I second Traci's "Dave doing yoga" idea. I'd looove to see that. :)

Second, I have a question:

DAVE - As a famous musician, have you ever felt pressured to maintain a certain "image" or keep up appearances? How do you deal with it, if at all?

Thx,
-Denise

dave,
i was just listening to the solo to Mountain Song, for the 2000th time, and i was wondering.... it's such an amazing solo, how did that work in the studio, is that one guitar track w/tons of effects or did you piece different takes together? it's probably my favorite solo you do, i know that 3 days and had a dad, etc are maybe better technically, but the feel of the MS solo is the greatest.

Boots~I pretty much don't talk about that stuff publicly, like on messages board on the net. But yeah, I haven't touched drugs or drink since Feb 1994. I'd tell you more, but not on a public board. You're always welcome to e-mail. I'm open about things. I have some legal reasons not public, that's all. As in the ex, and his present wife stuff. Zip.

Enjoying the 6767tv! Missed the 1st episode of Til Death Do Us Part when it wa son here; so that was great to see.

not meaning to sound ungrateful. just a minor suggestion/question/request. on the first version of 6767 tv, once the video had fully loaded (dialup) it was cached and i was able to watch over and over with no stops. now on the new beta2 version or whatever the fuck its called, it no longer caches, and im only able to watch snippets az is slowly loads up. i know this is geared for broadband, but do u have any suggestions for us poor folk? dave?robert?roseanna? bueller? anyone?

dave...... in your picture you posted of the online flush.... why does it look like you are an old lady?

are you trying to tell us something?

Dave,
Pleas tell me Emily Procter isnt being taken off of CSI: Miami, if so...why watch it anymore? No more hot little blonde, less ratings.

Posted by: el segundo at May 17, 2005 11:35 AM

Unfortunately, this doesn't work well with dial up users. Before it was a progressive download which you could wait until the entire thing would download to view. This time it's streaming from a server which broadband would be the way to go.

Since this will be the same set up for TPC-TV. If you would open a tv support thread in the forum that would be great. People can help each other and I'll try and drop in to answer tech questions. This would keep this site free from this and we can direct new users to the thread.

I love the site, Dave! Thank you :)

I was able to see 6767 TV was no problem. For the record, the first thing I saw was that "Dirrty" performance with Christina Aguilera. Couldn't find you in there. After that, I saw the video for "Hungry" which featured, of course, your lovely beautiful wife Carmen Electra. Way to go with 6767 TV, Dave!!

Hey William -

Watch that Christina A. video for a little while longer... Dave shows up later on, playing "Fighter". It's one of those awards-show medleys. Enjoy! :)

of course, i WOULD have a final tonight...

hope you guys have a wonderful show and everyone better share their pix!!! (especially wendy - yours are always so great!!)

AND HEY DAVE - random question, when you have some time to think about it:

Q. which ONE song would you choose to best represent each of the following emotions?
1. happy
2. sad
3. lonely
4. frustration
5. anticipation

OH! another quick one - i don't know if you have said this before, because i haven't been keeping up on the reading:

Q. that auction for the date with carmen - was is restricted to men only? would carmen have gone and/or go on a date with a woman?? considering she's a married woman, i don't see how that would be any different.

thanks!!!!!

<3 Sarah

Have a great show tonight Dave!!!

A question for later...you mentioned, I believe on Howard Stern, something to the effect that Carmen could "cheat" on you with another woman any time because that isn't really cheating...she wouldn't be getting the same thing from another woman as she would from a man...I'm paraphrasing wildly here but, I remember something along those lines. Apparently, you would not really consider it infidelity, if it involved another woman.

Anyway...my question is, how forgiving would you be of a woman in your life cheating with another man? Is that form of infidelity something you think you could get past and forgive, or would that be the end of it for you?

Denise,

I'm sure Dave has no problem with his "image". But I wonder if sometimes he's not "misunderstood" by people or even if some aren't jealous of him - he's such a talented and beautiful guy. I think he deserves all of the wonderfulness that is happening for him. From what I understand (mostly according to his book), it sounds like he's more then had his share of troubles.

Thanks Dave for sharing your story - It's very inspiring to see someone come through trials and be a winner!!

:)

... I completely concur, misslead. I wasn't questioning him or his image. And I'm sure a lot of people ARE jealous of Dave because he is so talented and charismatic. I was asking whether there's pressure for someone in his position to look/act a certain way all the time - even if one might not always feel up to it or whatever.

OK, I'm done spamming the board. :) Good night! I hope everyone had a great time at the show!
