Hey Burn!! I don't know much, but I know a little.
Sunset Blvd is full of Old school Clubs, the Cat Club, the Key Club, the Roxy, the Whiskey..etc..

as for tattoos, I know there is a place on Sunset across from the Rainbow, called Shamrock Tattoo, that seems to get a lot of traffic.

Bars? I have only ever been to the Spider Club at the Avalon, ask them for the jezzi special, my desert martini!!! or the Rainbow, where you really can only count on the pizza, escargot,and Miguel's special to taste good, IMO.

Restaurants, well, there we go. I have been to this wonderful old Hollywood style restaurant at Hollywood and Highland, on the 3rd floor, next to Wolfgang Puck's. I think it's called the Bistro, or the Grill or something, I don't remember anything but the Melontinis and the Sea Bass!!
There are a couple in Beverly Hills that were good and not overly priced, the Luce on Canon, try the scallops, and the Farm on Beverly, go there for Brunch, skip the lox and bagels, and go for the omelette with gruyere cheese, artichokes, and asparagus.. yummmy
Ok, that's all I got for now, but check out your local bookstore, Burn, and pick up a copy of Los Angeles magazine, they always have good tips there

I would imagine you're familiar with the DICK'S PICKS line of CDs.(Care to make my day and comment on Jerry Garcia?) Now, you mentioned that one of the reasons Mt. Song was put up for a Coors commercial was to alleviate debts left by the disbandment of Jane's Addiction. I'll buy that.
A wonderful way to alleviate debt as well as really stoke out fans of your music..the music of Jane's Addiction..would be to put out a few vintage live shows. Perhaps in a serial format, you know...maybe 3 total and stagger their release dates. "Dave's Pick's"
Digital downloads..whatever.
Point being..people are still swapping these shows...more often than not, the sound quality just aint there.("some things that should not have been forgotten were lost") Just an idea....hey, why not?

Is it wron for me to be selfish and say I'm glad CFR might be a rerun because I'll be stuck at work all night? Oh well I know if I had the night off or an early shift I would be sad. Abby and I were in the car on our way to get Maria for the Doheny show last Saturday and we turned on the stereo to listen to our boys or at least boy and hopefully call in, but were sad to hear it was a rerun of the new years show. Oh well sutch is life.

Interesting idea, Boots, about TPC ice cream. Maybe call it "Bloody Mary". I can picture something white/vanilla with rivulets of cherry syrup and deep, dark chocolate. (Or is that already a flavor?!) Maybe some cinnamon, b/c Dave is so spicy. :) I would say licorice, b/c the black color is so cool, but I hate the way it tastes. :P
