CFR Saturday

1. Dave, I think I've had two dreams about you so far, and each time I get to cuddle and not much else. It's great and all, but if you could fuck me next time, I'd really appreciate it.

I'll clear it with the wife. If she gives me the green light, it's on!

2. I was wondering how much time you spend at the gym. Also, are you pushing as heavy as you can with the weights or do you go a little easier with more repetitions?

About an hour a day for 6 days out of 7. Cardio, light weights, high reps.

3. Have you guys written alot of songs, and you just narrowed it down to those 12, or did you just write a few and perfect them?

We wrote quite a few and narrowed it down.

4. What kind of amps do you use in the studio?

Marshall JCM900, Marshall Plexi. Mesa Dual and Triple Rectifiers, Matchless, Bogner, Diezel, Fender Twin.

5. Heard about the MAP tribute show on Jerry Cantrell's site. Can you let us know if tickets will be available or where to get info?

I'll look into it. I don't think this is a public event.

Tune in tonight for another episode of CFR!

Happy Saturday everyone!

First! (Maybe 2nd...)

Wow, a lot of people asked about weights. LOL

Seriously, I'm finally listening to CFR from last week, enjoying it, looking forward to this week. It's a quiet, rainy Saturday, and I'm catching up on some much-needed cleaning and all that good "home-y" stuff. Maybe I'll do some yoga. :)

I wish everyone a lovely, joyous day.

Dave & DN Family,

I just finished THE DA VINCI CODE. In a word; brilliant!

Well today, I am not doing anything. Just helping my girlfriend's daughter with her homework and making her JELL-O.

I am still alive, barely, in my Tournament pool.
Let's go LOUISVILLE and NORTH CAROLINA.

Later,

Hi Dave,
I think it's so cool that you loved the "Power of Now". I thought it was such an amazing book. How long ago did you read it? I really feel like it's given me a new outlook on how to live each day... did you feel the same way after reading it? I'm curious to hear (or read) your thoughts on it...

Hey. Hope everything is going well. Ugh this rain is so depressing... but Dave I'm sure you'd love it, right? Anyways have a nice dayy!

Jess, stop complaining about the rain.

It started snowing in Ohio today. it's fucking april and we just got 2 inches.

Posted by: Six7Six7 at April 2, 2005 11:40 AM

I'm guessing the 7th day is sunday? (;

how's it going with your cold turkey, D-man? feeling any better yet? I've quit caffeine and I've gone six days without any... which means I'm tired all the time and a bit pissy but it's probably better for me. we don't need any more teenage 'java junkies'...

Six7Six7- Yeah it's depressing but theres nothing wrong with rain. And as for the snow, theres nothing wrong with snow either, strange things happen. And weather unpredicable, so it could snow in June for all we know.

Hey Dave,

Was it at all intimidating having sex with Carmen for the first time after she had previous been with Dennis Rodman? I mean that guy must have been huge!

Posted by: williebert at April 2, 2005 12:30 PM

Hey Dave...

I don't know if this has been asked before, I haven't read the other posts. But, did you and Carmen happen to catch "I want a famous face" this last week? How does she feel about young girls dramatically altering their appearance to look like her? How do you feel about situations like that?

hey dave,

Could you post some more recent pics of yourself...? You with the band in the studio would be awesome...!

Dave- what is it that makes a man want to settle down and be in a committed relationship after years of being the single, womanizing player? I figure you're a good person to ask since you pretty much could have had all the girls you wanted, but decided to settle down instead. is it different with every man or do you think there's certain events that bring about the desire for a committed relationship?

Posted by: Shiloh at April 2, 2005 01:51 PM

Oooh Dave - I have lots of dreams . . . if Carmen allows you, can I have you too?

Always,

Hello to all,
Dave, I was wondering what you think about Mike Patton, either FNM or Mr. B, or any of his other bands? Fantomas is playing here tonight, I think I'm gonna go check them out.

Cheers.

Posted by: Nick at April 2, 2005 02:27 PM

"I want a famous face" is scary...but i still love that show...but it would totally freak me out if people got surgery to look like me...though i doubt they would lol.

A good book i just finished is "pledged: the secret life of sororities"...scariest book i've ever read hands down...in one part...a girl who wanted to remain a virgin until marriage was "intimidating" her fellow sorority sisters (read: they wanted her to be as slutty as they were) so they arranged a "date rape" for her to lose her virginity w/o her knowledge...completely disgusting...ugh!

anyways...not much to say...enjoying the rain and a quiet saturday at home...much love to everyone here!

Hi again, beautiful people!

Ah, dreams... The wonderful thing about dreams is that anything goes. :)

Re: "I want a famous face", I could see why someone would want to look like Carmen. But I've heard that the people that go on those shows don't necessarily want to look like someone... Like most reality shows, much of it is scripted. The producers often "add" that part in about wanting to look like a certain someone. (In fact, I know of a few people who have been on various MTV documentaries, and believe me, a lot of it is phony.) Don't believe everything you see on MTV! LOL

Emily - that sorority book sounds very interesting. But trust me, that does NOT always happen. I was in a sorority, and it was nothing like that. We had all kinds of people, from virgins to sluts, different races, religions, nationalities, styles, weights, etc... and everyone had the utmost respect for each others' differences. Some of my "sisters" are my closest friends to this day; some of the greatest people you could EVER hope to meet.

Ciao for now,
-Denise

Dave: A Post from Steve-O March 29th: A smart sonafabeeach

"RE: CBGB's

I just got back from a trip to NYC last week and believe me, CBGB's was on the top of my list. For a music fan, visiting this place is as sacred as a pilgrim going to a Vatican Mass. I was able to go in before it opened and had the place to myself. It was dark and smelly and as cool as anything I have ever seen. I could actually hear the ghost of Joey Ramone shouting, "One. Two. Three. Four." as the band started up Sheena is a Punk Rocker! I got goose bumps. I got chills. I had tears. It was that powerful. I could picture members of Blondie and the Talking Heads drinking and smoking while waiting for their sets to begin. I'm only thirty-six so all of this happened way before my prime. But I have all the records and know all the history.

I grew up in LA and we had places like the Masque and Scream. I was too young for the Masque but I could sneak into Scream for Jane's and Love and Rockets. We also had Al's Bar which is the only place that I could compare to CBGB's. A small, dark, stinky beer joint near Little Tokyo. I saw so many great bands there that I can't even remember them all but here goes. Mother Love Bone, Popdefect, Sandy Duncan's Eye, Pygmy Love Circus, Haunted Garage, Circle Jerks, Thelonious Monster, Beck, the Nymph's, Green Jello, the Pimps, and so many more. Well, Al's Bar is all gone now. Lost their lease and closed the doors. It's a sad shame that some things change. Part of my best musical experiences are holed up in that shitty little bar.

Now flash forward and I hear that CBGB's is about to lose their lease due to back rent and a greedy landlord. Crap! I feel so helpless to watch it go, even from my San Diego home. Well, Dave...They need almost eighty grand to get straight...here's my proposal.

Camp Freddy strikes again! A benefit show for CBGB's in NYC, with Lou Reed, Deborah Harry, the surviving Ramones, members of the Talking Heads and all of your "usual suspects." I know you can do this... Talk to Dono and Matt and Chris and Billy and see what they think. Just think about how much friggin fun a gig like that would be. I'm getting chills just thinking about it.

Anyway, I've said my piece. Vive Le Rock!

Steve-0 (Imaboutado!)"

GIVEN ANY THOUGHT TO THIS PROPSAL? MY MOTHER, SISTER AND BROTHER-IN-LAW WERE IN NY THIS PAST WEEK. I ASKED THEM TO GO TO CBGB'S FOR ME AS I WAS NOT ABLE TO GO. DAVE, IF CBGB'S CLOSES I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LIVE WITH THE FACT THAT MY MOTHER HAS BEEN AND I HAVE NOT! STEVE-O IS A LUCKY BASTARD BUT SMART! wHAT A GREAT PLACE TO KICK OFF A NEW CD AND HELP SAVE A NY LANDMARK!!!

Wow...Thats an Exclusive dream, someone's got there. I'veh ad one with Dave in it too, but I just saw him, nothing more :)

To the user "QQQ",

Thank you for answering my question in Dave's last posting comment. I have always been curious about it, and I always forgot to ask. Thank you, kindly, for clearing that up for me! Much appreciated! :)

dave, question for the sunday 10...

in the old Janes days it was said that the songs were generally written around a riff that Eric Avery would come up with, and you guys ould build aroud that riff. how did it differ when writting for Strays and how does it differ in writting now with TPC??

stay well family

Hey Dave, any chance you guys will open up for the Greatest Band Ever, Kerbdog? Jesus dude, enough of pimping that band already.

"Dave, I think I've had two dreams about you so far, and each time I get to cuddle and not much else"...
Okay, that's a little freaky, I've had the SAME dream, but like 150 times! Damn, small world.

Yo Tripper!
Thanks for reposting that CBGB'S post. I thought it had been lost in all that petty drama from earlier in the week. Which reminds me... Keep it real people! As far as I remember, it's about the ROCK! Not petty drama.

Peace to all.

hey dave do you remember that time when you announced the break up of Jane's as a mere consequence of the panic thing on the same day that Lolla was cancelled? I guess your probably damn excited about its return.
Are the channel booked to play? I doubt it but it would be pretty funny yeah? But what I really want to know is if you, being in the rockstar loop and all, know of any rumours of real bands that might or might not be on the bill?
thankyou please.

Good morning Dave, good morning family!!

This man, this leader of my early faith, died this weekend. I'm trying to focus on the message, not the messengers, or the delivery.

I like the traditions, sometimes.

How very, very sad about CBGB.

Back in the day, I spent a lot of time there. Who knew that such an important part of rock history would come out of that tiny hole-in-the-wall club! On the Bowery no less, which wasn't exactly a 'destination area' for anyone!

Things have changed considerably in that area of NYC since the clubs humble beginnings. The real estate boom & gentrification, once again, ruin it for many. Not everyone can afford a one million dollar loft or co-op in that area. My dentist couldn't even afford his Bleeker Street offices last rent hike, he had to move his office uptown!

I won't forget seeing Blondie (Debs ripping her wedding dress off...this was WAAAY before there was a chick named Madonna doing her "Like A Virgin' wedding dress schtick....perhaps Madonna was lurking & taking notes??), The Ramones etc. In fact, Tommy (Thomas Erdelyi) Ramone played rhythm guitar in a friends band before joining The Ramones.

Ah, great memories......

take care,

New York is amazing. I had a great time. Couple of highlights besides CBGB's.

Got lost in the Village and stopped a man to ask for directions. It was Willem Dafoe! He couldn't have been cooler. Didn't know exactly where we needed to go but wouldn't let us go until he figured it out and walked us through it. I told him my kids loved him in Nemo. He got huge kick out of that. Very cool considering he could have just said, "Sorry. Don't know." My wife nearly peed her pants.

Best Pizza ever at John's Pizza on Bleeker St. Really... the best pizza ever. Indescribably good. Plus, all the cool music that you would expect in a tiny Italian restaurant. Bennett, Sinatra (who used to eat here), Dino, Prima, Vale, etc. Ice cold Sierra Nevada on tap. Come on! Yer killin me!

Chumley's. A pub in the village that used to be a speakeasy. It's at 86 Bedford St. That is where the term "86'd" comes from. The police would raid the place but since they were all regulars, the captain would call Chumley's first and say, "86 it!" Thereby giving everyone a chance to duck out the back. F. Scott Fitzgerald and Hemingway used to drink there among many others. Also Kerouac and Ginsberg in the 50's. Anyway, a great place to drink some beers and sit by the fireplace. Burgers are good too. Pretty divey but worth it. No sign on the door. Just look for 86 Bedford. No password needed.

Peter Luger's in Brooklyn. Took a limo and had one of the best steak dinners I've ever had. Fugghedaboudit! Been there since 1887 so go figure. It was like prom night. Suit and tie, limo, great dinner and I got laid just like prom night! YAY!

Grand Central Oyster Bar. Had the freshest Maine Lobster and best oysters I've ever had. Da best! Met Bobby Flay and his family afterwards at the coat check. His wife said they go there all the time. She was smokin, by the way.

Took a picture in front of the Dakota where John Lennon lived and unfortunately was shot. That was pretty sad to see. Strawberry Fields, an area dedicated to him, is just a quick walk from here in the park. That was cool too. There was a big peace rally that day that ended on the "imagine" mosaic. Very cool.

Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Knicks even managed to win. That was fun.

Saw Ally Sheedy buying smokes on the upper west side where we stayed. Tried to talk to her but she blew me off. Probably thought I was a stalker. Sorry Ally...

Saw a show called Avenue Q which could only be described as an adult, raunchy version of Sesame Street. Puppets and live actors. That was really funny. Think Sex and the City meets Sesame Street meets Welcome Back Kotter meets a bottle of tequila. Yep...good times.

Um...There is a lot more but these are the highlights. I used to spend my summers in Brooklyn when I was a kid so I wasn't a true tourist but this city is so amazing that you have to take at least a month to see it right and even then you would be out every night and out all day. Not that there's anything wrong with that. After all... The bars don't close til' four AM.

Gonna go back this summer to hang out and see a Yankee game.

Anyways...Thanks for asking.

Hey been lurking just not posting as much. Listen man I am in dire need of a Navarro fix! Any new word on if the "Till Death" is coming out? If they are not going to release it I recall you mentioned something that you would put out like 50 copies of it for the die hards. Have any idea of a time frame at all. I was hoping to get it for a belated X-mas present & here we are in april & still no luck. Any new info on this would be awesome.

Miss having you on tv in regular rotation with out the precense of playing cards :)

Hi Steve,

Funny, as we native New Yorkers don't frequent half the places you mentioned!

That's the truth about most people who were born here in NYC, we keep procrastinating about going to so many landmark places, yet we never seem to visit them because our mantra is; "I live here, I'll go someday. No big rush."

Though I have been to John's Pizza & Peter Luger's. There's also a version of John's in the theatre district, but I didn't enjoy the pizza there.

Glad you enjoyed NYC, next time try to get off the beaten track, there's lots of other interesting & less touristy places to visit. Especially in Brooklyn & Queens.

My neighborhood, Long Island City, is home to the Noguchi Museum and hosted the MOMA before they moved back into NYC. If you are interested in modern art, the huge PS 1 art gallery is also in Long Island City. It's a converted school.

The Kaufmann Studios house The American Museum of the Moving Image. The SilverCup studios are near the 59th Street bridge, it's where the interiors for "The Sopranos" are shot. I don't know if they do studio tours, but they might.

Btw, chef Bobby Flay is married to the beautiful, smart & funny actress Stephanie March, she left "Law & Order, Speical Victims" last year. She wasn't particularly 'funny' on "L&O" but she has a great sense of humor.

STEVEOOO!!!

What a wonderful time you had!!!! your story actually brought tears to my eyes!! My first and only trip to New York, my niece, son, and I had our list of must see places..and now we all long to go back to take another look, without the obligatory tourist sites..

The Dakota was the most memorable, I have a treasured picture of my niece sitting in the middle of the Imagine mosaic, my son standing with the guard in front of the Dakota building, and my niece and I cavorting around the Strawberry Fields sign..

I can't imagine what New York must be like in the spring! It sounds like you and your lovely wife had a beautiful "honeymoon"?

Thanks itanja, you beat me to the punch, did you ever see the Boy meets Grill episode Bobby had Stephanie guest on? What a cute couple!!

Love Rollercoaster....recording during OHM or was it especially for the B&B soundtrack? By the way, I didn't like it initially, but I think it's actually held up pretty well and now I dig it!

Posted by: Geoff at April 3, 2005 12:09 PM

Hi Jezzi,

No, I didn't see that 'Boy meets Grill' show with Bobby & Stephanie. Stephanie was a frequent vistor on Caroline Rhea's old talk show, she was always talking about Bobby.

I actually used to walk past the Dakota all the time, to visit my best friend, she lived around the corner from there. She actually had a Gothic apartment....her building was a former priests rectory! The apartment was gorgeous.....it had all these Gothic flourishes such as a beautiful working fireplace, stained glass windows, arched doorways etc.

Unfortunately, her landlord went co-op....what was that about gentrification spoiling things??? Even with the 'insider price' she was given as a longtime tenant....she still couldn't afford to buy it.

Later on, she had a loft in Brooklyn, then moved back to NYC...on Mulberry Street where she had her art gallery. Then she & her husband somehow ended up in Pennsylvania! Now they're out in San Francisco.....which she said is actually the most expensive place she's ever lived. She said it's much more expensive than NYC is these days and that's saying a lot!

take care,

I've asked this question, but I'm gonna ask again. Only because the post I asked it on was slammed with 180+ comments.

Dave, I'm watching "I want a famous face" on MTV and right now it's a girl having surgery to look like Carmen, and her boyfriend not only condones it, but encourages it. What's your take on this? Not just because it's your wife she's having surgery to look like but, the whole "I want a famous face" in general. And also if someone had surgery to look like you? (Which, may have already been done.)

itanja and Jezzi,

Thanks for all the input! It was a great trip.

itanja: I know Brooklyn pretty well but need to get up to Queens and Harlem for that matter. But it's hard to beat Manhattan. So much energy and great people. I really love the people. Honest and real people in all of the five borroughs. Can't beat that.

Jez, I don't know about spring yet... It was about 35 to 50 degrees all week. Rain and snow some of the time. But we dressed for it and loved every minute of it. It's great to come in out of the cold and wet to a bowl of matzoh ball soup or a glass of red.

Thanks again for the love ladies.

The weather here today in the midwest is awesome! About 70 degrees and sunny....I am so lovin' spring!

So glad I taped "TDDUP"....you never know what they will/won't put out officially these days, and I can't live without my Carmen & Dave Wedding Tapes....but if MTV did deliver, I would put out the dough for them....

Well April Fool's came two days late! We woke up with 6 inches of snow this morning - and tomorrow it will be 60. Also saw Million Dollar Baby today - wow!

Okay, Dave, I watched 40 Weddings and a funeral last night (what a lame funeral). I can't believe you and Carmen were 39 when I saw some of the ones they moved up. But after your segment, Tori said something like, don't worry if you missed it, you can get it on DVD. So, is it going to be released, now? You know you have alot of people here who want a good copy!

Always,
me

One more thing. I don't see this on Dave's calendar of events, but they have been advertising since last Thursday that Hollywood Hold 'em with Dave and Steve and Shannon Elizabeth's house is this Thursday! I have my VCR set, do you?

Thanks for the heads-up, Angel!

I wish everyone a wonderful week.

Thank you, Dave. Maybe my subconscious will finally let it happen now. God, I fucking hope so!

Dave, I realize you have very little extra time with family, bands etc etc, But would you consider producing
or co-producing a new hot act?..
Ck out www.myspace.com/bobbybreakdown..
Not yet in your calibre but very good for 3 young guys..
give a listen. . They wont let you down.
The guys are currently seeking mgmt..plus..
Obviously would love to have you in their corner..
They will do very well business wise with the right marketing..also.
Gracias por todo..

Dave,

thanks for the suprise last night on CFR. i'm just hoping that both you and billy will be there next week, that this was not a dream, and that i don't get lost in traffic.

the last cool thing i won on the radio was Iggy Pop tickets, i think six years ago. this completely trumps that, though Iggy kicks much ass. i can't wait until Saturday.

thanks again.

and thanks to all the girls in the panic community sending me good wishes. ;)

Got a question for ya Davo:
I'm told you guys had written all the material for Nothings Shocking and Ritual before you even made it big (sans Been Caught Stealing and Of Course). If so, why didn't you include songs like Aint No Right or Three Days on Nothing's Shocking? Were you purposefully saving them for the follow up to Nothing's Shocking?

Posted by: Marklark at April 3, 2005 11:08 PM

Hey Dave,
Thanks for CFR Saturday. That was very cool. I was just kind of numb that I made it through. That is the first time in like ten years I have tried to call for something on the radio. I was just speechless when I got on. I knew the answers from the previous 2 weeks already and I had just watched Fargo the week before (Love that movie, I actually lived in North Dakota for a couple years and they talk just like that) but I had to look up who said it cause you said that you wanted that I think as a joke. But I was prepared.
As always you were very personable, thanks for getting us up to the station itself. Zach had told me to call the 877 number when I got there and we tried and could not get through. The security guard did not have the station number either.
But you guys were awesome and the guitar is great. Only thing is I did not get it autographed by you guys maybe sometime in the future I can get you guys to sign it.
Even though it was rushed to get there I had a great time chatting with you off the air. And on the air with Billy and Donovan, it reminded me of my college radio DJ days. Sorry if I held you up and made you late to your shindig.
I have seen all 3 Panic Channel shows and the last 3 Camp Freddy shows locally that us public people can go to. And all have been great. Thanks for entertaining us.
You should maybe think of doing a OC gig also. Between the music and the Radio show and this web site you keep us in the loop and interested in the music. Thanks a bunch again.

Hi Dave & 6767 fam,

Good morning/afternoon, lovely folks! Congrats to Toby & Danielle.

Dave - CFR was great fun as usual - even if you guys thought it was an "off" night. It's always a blast to listen to everyone let their hair down, play music, and shoot the breeze. The varying moods and energy levels just makes it the vibe that much more natural and laid back, and shows that rock gods are human after all. I love it.

I hope you and Carmen had a great time at the Joey party.

Cheers,
Denise

dave, my band is starting to really take off, we are making a name for ourselves in long island new york and we're told that we are really good. we were just recently asked to play at cbgb's in manhattan. our style is really similar to jane's ritual album. all of us in the band are HUGE jane's fans, tpc fans, and i am possibly YOUR biggest fan. as a band, we were all wondering if when we get a date, i post it, is there a slight possibility that you would possibly be at our show. we all know ur schedule is insane with a new album and everything, but we are crossing our fingers and hoping that is could possibly happen. ill keep posting to let you know of the date for cbgb's. p.s. im dying for the album!

Posted by: zach at April 4, 2005 12:37 PM

Hey Dave,
A quick question if I may...

What's your take on Mötley Crüe? I ask because I notice you're wearing one of their t-shirts on the cover of Strays and was surprised, given their cock-rock leanings (Girls Girls girls etc...), and the fact that Jane's were so anti that kind of big hair 80s cheesiness. Was it an ironic statement of yours?

Hope you have time to answer. Cheers.

Dave Navarro you're such a bastard! Every time I listen to your playing something catches me in a new way. Right now the bridge on Deep Kick I find pretty groovy. And every time I listen to the finish of To Match the Sun I think, "Fuck, no wonder a woman like Carmen fell in love with this guy." At the risk of sounding like I'm kissing ass, I just wanted to say you've inspired me. Glad to see you're keeping it up.

Hi all,

'Rock On TV" has some listings for Dave's TV appearances this week.

The 'Charmed' repeat, "Size Matters" is listed for Wednesday April 6. The STYLE channel also features clips from Dave & Carmen's wedding, that's on Thursday April 7th.

Check the site for the times in your area.

Shannon Elisabeth's poker show isn't listed. The 'Rock On TV' website has unfortunately been taken over by VH-1, it doesn't seem as efficient as it once was in gathering all the TV appearances.

Here's the link anyway, it's for EST.

Was at your book signing in Jersey, and remember thinking how it must feel for you to have all these people come to see you, and of course purchase the book, but was curious in how does it feel to be noticed everywhere you go? And is it kinda eerie for people to just gawk at you as if you were an animal in the zoo?

Also my b-day is 7/7/77, cooler than yours! Ha ha!

Dave ( Or anyone else who tuned into last Saturday's CFR )

I may be making too much of this or not enough. I called you on last Saturday's CFR. We spoke once, had a good chat and then unfortunately the rest of the night is only coming back to me in bits and pieces. I think I called back and may have said something or done something to upset you. If I did it was not in the right state of mind.

I am and will always be one of your greatest fans, but that night I was at the end of my rope after going through a week of having to fire a bunch of great and beautiful people. Unfortunately this is part of my job that I hate with all of my heart.

I had too much to drink and now I am suffering flashbacks that are causing me much distress.

If I said something to upset you , I apologize and wish that I could take it back. This week has been hell thinking that the first time I get to talk to one of my true hero's I screwed it up

Peace

Please Forgive

Subject: Poor Dave........

Dave works hard at the plant and spends most
evenings bowling or playing
basketball at the gym.

His wife thinks he is pushing himself too hard, so
for his birthday she
takes him to a local strip club.

The doorman at the club greets them and says, "Hey,
Dave! How ya doin?"

His wife is puzzled and asks if he's been to this
club before. "Oh no," says
Dave. "He's on my bowling team."

When they are seated, a waitress asks Dave if he'd
like his usual Budweiser.

His wife is becoming uncomfortable and says, "You
must come here a lot for
that woman to know that you drink Budweiser."

"No, honey, she's in the Ladies Bowling League. We
share lanes with them."

A stripper comes over to their table and throws her
arms around Dave.
"Hi Davey," she says, "Want your usual table dance?"

Dave's wife, now furious, grabs her purse and storms
out of the club. Dave
follows and spots her getting into a cab.

Before she can slam the door, he jumps in beside her
and she starts
screaming at him.

The cabby turns his head and says, "Looks like you
picked up a real bitch
tonight, Dave!"

Dave's funeral is Saturday.

Mike in NYC: Are you reading Robert Langdons first adventure yet? "Angels and Demons" was an incredible read and will go along perfect with whats happening with the Pope/conclave ECT.

Anyone know if Rolling Stone is still doing the lifetime membership deal?

Jezzi-remember that song in the nintys with the female vocalist-went "This is jezzibel in hell" ? Hope all is well, what you emailed about the doubletree-very similar to my day at work! I wonder if I mentioned the guy who asked for a complimentary bathing suit? Anyway, we said no and he said most hotels do and they are made of paper and are disposable!!!! What if they dispose while your still in the pool!!!

Dave-seems like your a busy man...look forward to hearin from ya. Really appreciating all you do for us...thanks for everything, I know there I cant think of anything we can do to repay you, but if you ever need anything...Im sure all youd have to do is ask.
