I just wanted to say Dave.....I absolutely loved your book. I just read it and I couldn't put it down.I can relate your book to experiences in my own life that I'm going through right now, and it gives me hope that I will get through it. I'm telling everyone I know to go out and buy it. It was a great concept. <3 Ash

Thanks Dave, I will check out this link later at home - afraid I can't download here at work. But I am kinda scared. The pictures . . . my mom has a full Beauty Salon, and I have never seen anyone get a manicure in that position. Is that how they give them in LA?

HI family¡
Dave thank you, like always you rules¡¡¡¡.
I love Messy, I´m from mexico so I didn´t know anything about her, but thank to you, and the panic board, I see his website and she is awesome.
love&bites to all....

Willow,
You might have a pop up blocker therefore the radio won't open. It may also be that you might not have the recent flash player installed.
Posted by: RC at January 25, 2005 02:34 PM
I love Billy Idol.
Posted by: ylais at January 25, 2005 02:46 PM
Yeah Billy Idol is Cool. "Dancing with myself" is a great tune
Posted by: Pinhead at January 25, 2005 03:19 PM
LEFTIES UNITE!!!
Dave. I understand you have no control over what PRS does with your signature model production-wise, but...
Man. You've got some HARD CORE fans out here that are left handed. Is there any hope for us?
PRS has decided to discontinue manufacturing all left handed models (except for custom shop @ 3x the price...)
A good word from The Man (that's you!) might hold more weight with PRS than us schmo's out here saving up for a lefty PRS.
That goes for Yamaha too!!
Thanks for staying accessible to us (even when we badger you.)
Posted by: gvn at January 25, 2005 03:34 PM
I agree...my son if a lefty and he cannot play the Dave guitar I have.
Posted by: babyuni67 at January 25, 2005 03:47 PM
Those clips are awesome. I missed all of that this weekend and was totally bummed. I did get to spend some quality time with my new baby niece though so it was all good. Missed this place. Peace.....

Hey Dave, love the site and the new band!
Anyway, I was wondering how you got the notion to play in/form the all-star cover band Camp Freddy? Is this your first time playing in a group doing covers exclusivly, or is this a throw-back to younger days when you played covers to make some money on the weekends?
Take care!

Posted by: Nik at January 26, 2005 07:46 AM
If TPC or CF did a Billy Idol cover I'd rather see it be White Wedding. Hell, since we're wishing, if CF does it, I'll be glad to sing it...
(off lost in his own little dream world of doing Billy Idol cover songs in high school bands...)

Hi Dave and all!
Been over at my father's taking care of his dogs while he's away so I haven't been able to be in contact. His connection really sucks. I guess I can't be a good family member in two different families at the same time.
Good news: My friend returned from L.A. and I FINALLY got my copy of DTTAH! Stayed up 'til 4 am last night 'cos I couldn't put it down... It's such a good read! Gotta go now, take care everyone!

Jezzi n Rantz-no show on the cd I sent? Mailed it I believe last tuesday! If its not there by the weekend, Ill try again. They are in manilla bubble wrap envelopes, 4"X6"-maybe your mailboxs are too small-I wouldnt think so though. Rantz-I put a poem up at Deena 13s Dave Navarro site. There is a hyper text link in yesterdays post here at this site! Youll find it 3/4 the way down the member posts. (6767!) When you get to Deenas site click on fan poetry, then on Boots poem. Actually, click here-- http://tno13.tripod.com
Anyone passing through CT on the way to Mikes b-day bender? I dont know new york to save my life. Hope its quite the "bendedito".
Dave-I listened to a lot of the Messy interview. Whats the name of the fruit in the box. Some more info, it was hard for me to picture it, and let us know how it tastes. Also, I can't believe how much you dig Montel Jordans "This is How We Do It." Do you still want it played at your funeral? (DTTAH) You were rockin out to it in the interview if im not mistaken.
CT is getting pummeled with a second snow storm right now. I just recovered from the last one. Ive been having such a good time these past two days. To those in recovery-I guess things do get better with time and effort. Just hope the sequence of events stay positive.
Whole lotta love, shake it sleazy n avoid diseasey. Rock n ruckus!

Hey, friends! Man, I haven't posted in a long time - I guess I've sort of slipped into the role of spectator, rather than putting my two cents in all the time. In any event, hope all is well with everyone.
Dave, I gotta tell ya, man, the Panic Radio is killer! Bloody Mary F'N' rips, and I'm really enjoying the CFR clips since I've never gotten to tune in, as I live in Maryland. I totally woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning, and when I got to work, I checked out those Camp Freddy Radio clips, and they set me right! Good times! Keep 'em coming!
A question for the Sunday 10 - What's the latest news on the release of 'Til Death Do Us Part? The last thing I remember is that the Jan. 11th release date got pushed back because of some stores not wanting to carry it because of the name. Has the release been pushed back with some places still willing to sell it, or has it been scrapped all together?
Well, it feels good to be back in the mix. Take care, all, and be well.
-bjs

Hi gang, I've got some shit to share so listen up!
We buy Dave's records and thats a business contract between him the muso and us the consumer. Other than that and under no obligation, Dave seems to be very giving, so Im gonna tell you how we can give something back.
Anyone who has their own web page / website or access to a website can help. heres how its done. Mention Dave Navarro on you website and make the word 'Dave Navarro' a link to this website. Similarly if you mention the Panic Channel, make sure you link the word 'Panic Channel' to the panic channel website.
The reason for this is simple. Google and other search engines have a page ranking system that checks the relevence of a website. If every time the word Dave Navarro is mentioned and it has a link through to 6767.com Google will assume that this site is the most relevent to Dave Navarro and hey presto 6767.com appears in the first listings. I wont go into the technical details of this, but trust me, this is basically how its done.
I did a search for Dave Navarro on google earlier on today and out of 274,000 results 6767.com appeared nowhere in the first 500 listings. Its a shame considering that this is Dave's actual site! Also over 2000 people searched the keywords 'Dave Navarro'in December. Thats 2000 people that didnt find this site.
So what you waiting for gang? get out there and get linking, lets help Dave's sites to get to number 1 on all search engines helping to spread the word of the 'Panic Channel' to Venus and back again.
Ill post this message regularly and try and reach as many of you as possible over the next few days, but for now whoosh Im gone !
Graham.
P.S Next weeks lesson is 'how to make a rockin guitar riff in 4/4 work work over a groove in 21/8'
Posted by: Graham Walsh at January 26, 2005 10:40 AM
Good points, but Dave Navarro is God comes up 1st on my google.com search, and that's a great website, with links to all Dave stuff. I think loads of 'us' people are already linking to here.
Posted by: ylais at January 26, 2005 10:52 AM
Got another point~ :D
I think it would be better now to link up to The Panic Channel website.

Ya know what? I've been asking everyone I could about the magazine that Carmen is on the cover for. No one has ever heard of it so I thought its a magazine thats hard to find. Ellen, then you said its a Barne's & Nobles, went there and the guy was clueless, he said its about gaming and Ben A. was on the cover and I'm thiknking this guy doesnt know what hes talking about, and he checked again and he said they have it in their system but not on stock. I was sooo mad. I'm never gonna be able to get it.

Oh and another thing... say carmen on AutoRox, it was awesome. shes sooo crazy... and EROTIC dave? haha i love her and she looked adorable, be my guest to tell her that. have a nice dayy!
Posted by: ..::Jess::.. at January 26, 2005 11:45 AM
Hey Graham,
Interesting ideas re: the Google thing...
My opinion is that this site, 6767.com, is not really intended to be "THE OFFICIAL DAVE NAVARRO WEBSITE!! ALL DAVE, ALL THE TIME!!" I'm all for new blood here, but because this site is so personal in nature (with the things he posts about, etc.), to me it's more of an intimate club/newsletter kinda thing for the more hardcore fans.
For a "newbie" who's looking to learn more about Dave and the band, they should probably start at the actual TPC site (not the message board), which is more straightforward and informational... Also, as Lisa said, the DNIG site is good for newcomers as well. (And it links to this and other pages.)
Finally, I believe that in order for a site to come up on top in a Google search, you need to have certain searchwords appear and reappear througout the text. If you notice, since Dave himself writes the content here, his full name doesn't appear all that often. (Thank God he's not one of those people who refers to himself in the 3rd person! LOL)
Cheers,
-Denise

re: carmen on the cover of vegas magazine, it has the headline 'America's favorite sex symbol and rocker wife.' here's the link. i'm not sure if you can read the whole thing online, but if not at barnes & noble, try borders, or a place where they might have a broader range of magazine selections....

Excelent points Denise...after reading grahms I checked and he's right that 6767 doesn't come up, but if you search for dave navarro personal website 6767 comes up. I don't know how I stumbbled her last summer but I'm glad it's not too chaotic...bad me for being stingy!!!
Dave~
You've been cracking me up all day!!! The men at work have been in a meeting all day, so I've been in my office with the door closed listening to the CF broadcasts...my boss came in this afternoon and said..."you're enjoying your work way too much, what's so funny?" I asked him what he was talking about and he said that during their meeting they kept hearing random fits of laughter at the other end of the suit. Thanks for facilitating the good health!!!
Does anyone remember where that quick-clip of the messy show is??? I'm almost positive I saw it here, wanted to check it out again cause the links to watch it at TPC are filtered. Someone please point me in that direction. Imdead said you can slow down the viewing so wanted to explore. But Peepz where is it???
Thanks for the input if someone responds!!!

Hey Dave, I think I get what Graham is saying, of course Im not gonna figure out how to make you the most popular keyword of the internet. Do you care how easily people find this site. Do you want us to make us popular. Not dissin Grahams idea,)I actually dont have an opinion or a website to post you) but I was just curious about what you felt members here should do that could help your internet popularity.I do know im a internet dummie and managed to find you all. Oh and if your to become a popular keyword are you a sellout? You should ask your new friend Messy! Be cautious! Let us know, Im not the only one curious.

What's up Dave? Hey I've got a few questions for ya.
1.) What's it like playing with a frontman/guitarist? Do you have a preference between strictly a frontman or the guy that plays dual roles? I'm lovin' Bloody Mary by the way.
2.) Do the PRS guitars you play have a flat neck such as a Les Paul, or an arched one such as a strat? Just curious, which do you prefer?
3.) Okay, final question...Say there's a barber in a small town. He only shaves people who cannot shave themselves. So if that is the case, does he shave his own face?
This website you've got goin' is really cool, any answers would be appreciated...but if not, that's cool too.

aside from the one hot minute and best of Jane's Addiction tab/ sheet music books, there aren't any other official transcriptions of your musical work.
why is that? i'm sure i would appreciate the proper tab to all your stuff. i'm sure others would as well!
is there anyway you could send me this stuff, you know -like under-the-table type thing?
cheers

DAVE DAVE piratemurray has a great question that
you must answer!!!! I'd like some classic Jane's tab
ooooooo yessss please.
I'm begging aren't I.....
Posted by: Nik at January 27, 2005 05:50 AM
I think I remember Dave sayin' that he doesn't know how to read or write tablature. It kinda sucks that there aren't any other 'official' tab books out there, but your next best bet would be www.tabcrawler.com or someplace like that. I know those tabs are usually somewhat off or incomplete, but its at least a starting point. Good Luck.
Posted by: bill at January 27, 2005 07:30 AM

From Rockdirt: (cute)
Carmen Electra's Always Had A Thing For Guitarists
Rumor has it that Carmen Electra was a big fan of husband Dave Navarro before they hooked up, so MuchMusic put the question to the actress. "My dad plays guitar, so I've always had a thing...I just always thought guys were hot that could play guitar and make music," Carmen explained. "I'm the luckiest girl in the world. [Dave's] the perfect guy for me and he's a sweetheart and he's gorgeous. I knew of him and just thought he was so sexy and cool and rad!"
Posted by: Cori at January 27, 2005 09:05 AM
Hi Dave,
I just heard on Howard that you and carmen are trying to have a baby. Robin also said that Carmen is losing her looks. I personally think that Carmen is the Hottest woman that walk the earth. :)

mr.dave I dont know if you still answer queries here but I've got a real live non insulting question for you thats not related to apparral or cosmetics.Remember the keyboard guy from the last tour you did with Jane's?The one who kinda spoilt all the songs he was in and was really the one responsible for the break up of the band because he wanted to do bigger venues and become a rich semi clothed celebrity keyboard icon for mtv kids?Anyway, so I was wondering if you knew if the piano part to obvious,or any other ritual songs, was available anywhere because I figured he must have had transcriptions, but I only know of published Jane's geetar sheet music.
I hope I haven't already burned all my question asking bridges, assuming you still even read the posts here, so if it will help help my chances of an answer I too will kiss the ass:the panic channal are not a boring unoriginal wannabe supergroup cashing in on fans of the old, the celebrity of the reality tv star and his wife, and the masses of skysuckle stevie fans.and the name panic channel does not suck.at all.

Hello everyone -
Ugh! just went to get my CF tix for tonite and they're sold out!! *&$!#@!. Every single time I try to catch these guys...somethin gets in the way...
I May try to roll down anyway and take my chances at some more goin on sale when the BO opens, but it's gonna be hard to get my girl to agree to that... (our friend who we went to TPC show there with didn't get in and it was a drag)
Been dyin to see em. Didn't think it would sell out. Didn't know it was all ages either... ugh... It's my own fault...
If anyone knows anything that I don't, please let me know, otherwise, probably just see ya at the next stop...
Have fun tonite to any of y'all that were smart and got yer tix beforehand....
Much peace and love -
