I Will Find My Soul, Back Home - S.I.

Hobo5I'm still tweaking on colors and banners and all that. Today, Monday, we go back to work in the rehearsal studio. We have one more week of writing before we go in and finish our record. Very exciting stuff. The last couple of things we have written are simply slamming! My favorite so far. "Said You'd Be" and another called "Left To Lose". Plain and simple 3-4 minute rockin' jams. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best. (Sometimes they definitely aren't!)

1. Heard a rumor that Carmen is expecting...any truth in that?

No, no truth to that at all...

2. Say Dave, if you were unable to persue a career in the entertainment biz, what would you see yourself doing?

I'd be a photographer for FHM or Maxim...

1. When was the last time you were star struck?

I'd say the first time I ever set eyes on the lovely Messy Stench. In fact I am still shaking!

2. Who's the better kisser - Courtney, Terri, or Carmen?

Well, it goes without saying that my wife takes the #1 slot. However, excluding her from the list, I can tell it like this. With Terri, there is more passion, but with Courtney, there is more longing. Like a, "Why didn't we do this years ago?" vibe.

3. Dave, are you going make fun of .org forever now?

Hmmm. Tough one. Let me think about this. Yes.

4. In your book (which was very good by the way) there are two photo strips I would love to know who the guys in them are, who is the guy with long hair on the left side of page 16? And who is on page 32/80 in the red photo strip?

Long hair p. 16 - I don't know, but it is NOT Anthony!

Red Strip p. 32/80 - An artist named Sean.

5. Dave-I remember reading interviews with you in magazines years ago (you ain't the British music press much these days-ya gotta remedy that) Anyway, you gave the impression that you didn't really like the publicity machine when it comes time to promote a record, interview after interview answering the same kind of questions, How do you feel about doing that kind of thing now?

I feel as I always have about it. I can't wait to get out there and promote. However, ask me again about a week into it. I'll be singing a different tune.

6. Anywho Dave I was wondering if you and the Camp Freddy boys have thought about throwing down your version of "Venus In Furs" from TNO??

I've been asked about that before. Perhaps I can get to that together for the next time.

7. I was wondering if you had any plans to work with Danny Ash, David J, or Kevin Haskins any time soon?

No, not at the moment although they are all friends and I would do something with any one of those guys. I actually appeared on David J's last album with Perkins on a cover song called Guitar Man.

8. Dave, question...being a lil bit of a comic book geek myself, I was wondering, were you or are you a comic book fan??

I was a HUGE fan for a long time and had an extensive and valuable collection. Sadly, I sold them all years ago as a way to finance a growing drug addiction at the time. I did, however, receive a copy of the first Love and Rockets as a gift from a friend years later who felt for my loss. It was my favorite one.

9. Hey Dave did you get the Olsen Twin dolls yet? I sent them to the station.

No, dammit! What the hell are they doing to me over there? I'm gonna get into this on air Monday with TK! Thank you for bringing this serious issue to my attention.

10. Have you, since you have been sober, been able to recreate that sexual menagerie that was attempted at the Playboy mansion...or, have you been completely one woman at a time since you were sober...

That's a tasty #10! However, I'LL NEVER TELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bio_ericTHIS JUST IN! Special guest on Camp Freddy Radio next Saturday between 6-8pm on Indie 103.1 That's right. You ask and you shall receive. (OG) Eric Avery will be joining us in the studio. Awwww hell yeah! We really do bring it at CFR. Eric will be playing some of his favorite tunes and discussing his new gig with Garbage. Perhaps I can talk him into bringing his acoustic Bass.

Camp Freddy Radio Tonight

Dn_cl© 2005 Debbie VanStory

Yeah, yeah, yeah... Aw hell yeah! CFR in da house tonight! Only on the Independent, Indie 103.1FM, Saturdays 6-8pm... Got a couple of guests tonight. Anabella Lewin from Bow Wow Wow, Terri Nunn from Berlin and Liegh Gorman of Adam and the Ants. 80's style! We will be discussing what is coming up for these artists, their history and recapping the Camp Freddy Tsunami Benefit Show with Anabella and Terri. Tomorrow is the Sunday 10, but lemme give a couple of these a shot here and now...

1. Joan Jett - Didn't she play with CF recently?

Yeah, in Vegas. We did Bad Reputation and Pretty Vacant.

2. Is it intentional that Judas Priest's new song has the exact same riff as Mountain Song?

I have heard that but I haven't heard the track. I do know that Mountain Song contains the "Metal 101" chords and progression so it might just be a coincidence. If not, then it's a compliment.

3. Dave-you planning on doing anymore shows with Messy? That was a good time, you guys sound like you were having fun.

Yes, I do. In fact I plan on moving into her studio so I am simply "there" whenever she comes in to work.

4. What's it like playing with a frontman/guitarist?

Shredding. I like having the full sound live and being able to create separate parts for both guitars. Isaacs doesn't play on all songs but when we need that extra push over the cliff, he kicks us into high gear.

5. Do the PRS guitars you play have a flat neck such as a Les Paul, or an arched one such as a strat? Just curious, which do you prefer?

Flat. Always flat, baby.

PcrDon't forget about the Panic Channel Radio! New shows will be updated soon.

Camp Freddy/Key Club

DaveterriYeah man, that was the shit! The Tsunami Camp Freddy benefit went off tonight at the Key Club. What a night. My wife launched her new dance troupe called Carmen Electra and the Bombshells. Sexy as all hell and they tore it up. Hardcore style! Camp Freddy had a killer line up with Michael Des Barres, Terri Nunn, Anabella Lewin, Leif Garret, Jerry Cantrell, Steve Jones, Steve Stevens, Courtney Love, Steve Isaacs, John Claydon, Linda Perry, Lemmy and Slash. The set, if I can remember, was something like the following:

Ballroom Blitz - Camp Freddy
Ziggy Stardust - Camp Freddy
Bang a Gong - Michael Des Barres
Feel Like Makin Love - Michael Des Barres & Anabella Lewin
Candy - Anabella Lewin
Metro - Terri Nunn
Suffragette City - Terri Nunn & Steve Stevens
Sanctuary - Steve Isaacs
Man In The Box - Jerry Cantrell & Terri Nunn
Jailbreak - Jerry Cantrell
Pretty Vacant - John Claydon & Steve Jones
Mountain Song - Courtney Love
Should I Stay - Leif Garret
God Save The Queen - Lemmy & Steve Jones
Whole Lotta Love - Linda Perry & Steve Stevens
I Wanna Be Your Dog - Everybody!

At $10.00 a ticket, I'd say it was a hell of a show. All the proceeds from the evening went to support The American Red Cross for Tsunami Relief. It was a spectacular night of rock and magic for an amazing cause. Thanx to all of our guests who made the night possible as well as Brent Bolthouse, The Key Club, Indie 103.1 and everyone who attended. (especially all the 6's & 7's)

Camp Freddy is: Billy Morrison, Matt Sorum, Chris Chaney, Donovan Lietch and Dave Navarro.

Sunday 10/KNAC Scandal

Scandal"The Manicure Incident"

1. I was wondering, there's been a lot of talk about another loop experiment, is there any chance that you will still be adding something to Shoot?

Yeah, I still want to do that, but as you can imagine, it has been very hard for me to get the time together. I'd love to see some new songs made. Why not make a few and I'll jump on them all at once. Like do 3 or 4 on a single day.

2. Have you seen your six degrees of Dave Navarro game lately? Bill Gates, Arnold, John Wayne, who knew?

I love that game! You guys are way better at it than me. Has anyone actually tried Kevin Bacon? I can't make that one work. Oh wait. Kevin Bacon is married to Kyra Sedgwick who hosted Camp Freddy's Step Up show in NYC There. 2 steps! Aw hell yeah!

3. On the subject of (NAMM) equipment, which do you prefer - pod or tonelab ?

I like PODs, never tried the Tone Lab. I like to mix them with natural amp sounds cause I rarely like to go direct.

4. Would you ever play with Prince? I mean you're both killer players and I think it would be cool.

Mos def! I could hit the wife up to make that happen.

5. What do you use for ear protection? I am a singer and my ears have been bothering me from the loudness of my drummer. Can you suggest anything? I've been using HEAROS, but they aren't working.

We use a lot of HEAROS in the band, but mainly for cutting down noise on the bus or on airplanes I really do not use anything at all when playing. I would say that it would be good to invest in some "In Ear" monitors. Really the best solution for singers.

6. What can you tell me about that guitar lesson on dvd with your name and picture on it, from Hal Leonard?

I'd say it is more entertaining than informative. It would be cool for beginners, but other than that, I wouldn't know.

7. Hey Dave, what kind of guitar do you use for record one hot minute, and what guitars are you using to record the TPC album?

OHM: Strats
TPC: PRS

8. Who's the better guitar player, Slash, or Buckethead?

Well, Bucket is really different, which I like, but you know, Slash is my boy. I'd have to go with, Slash baby!

9. How come you can't tell us what happened after the Ice Cream and the hit and run?

Cause we were both blacked out in a sugar coma! We can't remember.

10. What ever happened to that pet eel of yours?

Every couple years I get this question. The one that got slammed down on the table... WAS NOT REAL!

OK. That is 10. I had a blast on Messy's show. She and her man, Nico are two of the coolest people I have met in a long time. Welcome to LA kids. Now, go take it over!

NAMM

304569©2005 Debbie Van Story

I just got back from NAMM. No parade. No ticker tape. It's almost like my country is trying to sweep the whole thing under a rug. Like it never happened. Well, I was there, man! In the trenches! ALL DAY LONG! I was supposed to get up at 6:00am to get myself together in time, but I have one of those alarm clocks that wake you with the sounds of nature. Like a flowing stream or birds or some shit like this... right? Anyway, slept right through it. Got up at 9:00am and just yanked myself into place and picked up Riss and Steve and rolled out. Made it in time. Once I was there it was fine, but on the way... wasn't happy. At all. I unveiled two signature guitars today. A white PRS and a white Yamaha Acoustic. (I don't know what they cost.) I hung out with some cool people and later in the night jammed a couple songs with Paul Reed Smith. We did Hendrix's Spanish Castle Magic and Easy Rider. All in all a rockin time. I'm goin to bed... CFR tomorrow night. Messy on Sunday. It's all good.

Ps2sideGood morning my friends. Had a long day yesterday. We finished our rough demo of Start of Darkness, rehearsal and all that. A definite Monday. Sometimes I wonder what these posts would look like if I skipped the spell check process. Thank God for technology! Anyway, things are good. Just off to rehearsal again, not much to report. I think the NAMM thing is on Friday. I'll be at the Yamaha booth and the PRS booth.

Sunday 10

Davenavarro_messyThanx to forum member, Imdead, this is my new favorite person in the world. Messy Stench. She hosts an Internet radio show over at KNAC.COM. I will be her in studio guest on January 23rd, from 1-3pm. Lord only knows what will happen. You can catch her Sundays from 1-3pm pacific time.

1a. How are you able to stay so grounded among all the glamour of the celebrity life?...

Grounded? What's that mean?

1b. Also do you like the movie velvet goldmine or hedwig and the angry inch?

I love Hedwig. Donovan actually played Hedwig on stage for a long time.

2. I was just wondering was the "suffer some" solo inspired by the RHCP "my lovely man " solo???

Not at all, but I am happy with the comparison. John is the SHIZZZZ.....

3. Hey Dave, ever do it with a chick on the rag?

For SO many reasons, it's a great idea!

4. I have asked this question before but maybe you did not see it so if you don't mind I am going to ask again. I saw on cribs you had a Kurt Cobain Guitar were you a big fan? What is the story behind you getting it? Do you still have it?

Still have it. I actually don't remember the whole story, but I have told Courtney that if she or her daughter ever want it back, I am there...

5. We know that TDDUP on DVD was delayed, do you know why? Any clue as to when it will be released?

I really do not know why. I heard a rumor that some stores had a problem with the title if you can believe that!

6. Whats this about you illegally street racing the sum 41 singer that i read in Total Guitar

Never heard that one... But I officially challenge that boy right here and now to take on the Grand National! Great idea!

7. How are you able to constantly be around "the life", yet not give in to the temptations of it?

Temptations are fun, but when you have been around the block as many times as I have, it's easy to play the "tapes" all the way through and know where a certain action might lead. It's never good. I still love being tempted, don't get me wrong, it's just like... knowing a deal can be made is sometimes better than closing a deal.

8. Dave, heres a question...what do you think of the idea about us all organizing another online MIRC chat again like we had a few months ago??

I'm in. Actually, we are in the process of putting together a proper chat room on TPC.COM

9a. DAVE!!! Have you seen any of the NFL playoff commercials, Rene Russo is in one of them!!!!

The only reason to TiVo sports!

9b. OK, second question..with the advent of the awards season, who picks out your red carpet look?

Usually a combination of my stylist Rene and I. However, this year, I am just doing the band so unless Carmen has to go to anything, I'm staying away from them.

10. So, last week you answered a question, beautifully, I might add, about how you and Carmen were mature, wise, and brave enough to be friends with exes....How is it that they are mature enough to be friends with you?

I don't know. Maybe because in this town, one had better "get over it fast" or they will get swallowed alive. Plus, we are just lovers not fighters...

See you at the The Panic Community!

CFR Saturday

Davenavarropg441CFR tonight! Dono, Billy and I live at Indie 103.1 from 6pm - 8pm pacific time. Web simulcast on the Indie 103.1FM Site.

What about the loop experiment? Well, I will have to look into it. Maybe our mailbox is full and that's why all the files are being returned. I honestly have no idea. Lemme get into a couple questions, but tomorrow is the full 10...

1. Can us mortal folks go to NAMM?

I don't know is the answer. I never understood how that whole thing worked. Perhaps someone here can enlighten us?

2. Why would seeing a picture of Anthony freak you out more than your other friends? If you don't mind my asking... :)

I don't mind, that part of the book was from an article that ran in Bikini magazine years ago. It was intended to be funny. Sometimes you gotta take a little exaggeration and dry wit a little bit further than the next guy. There is a lot of dry humor in that book that, apparently, gets misunderstood. Oh well, they can't all be winners.

3. I feel like I'm going to fuck up so bad very soon and go flying off into nowhere again. What do you do to suppress these thoughts?

Honestly bro, I pray to have those thoughts removed and talk to someone close about it.

4. Dave-have you done any tracks influenced especially by the Beatles?

The solo guitar in Everybody's Friend was definitely influenced by George Harrison.

5. Hey Dave is your signature guitar gonna cost an arm and a leg?

I don't know. I didn't set the price. I would assume at LEAST an arm. Maybe a foot, but not the whole leg.

The The Panic Community is really thriving! Thanx to all for being a part of it.

Start of Darkness Redux

Jane_navarroWhat's up? Today we are going back to Scot Humphrey's house to finish up Start of Darkness. The Panic Community is slamming! I have been logging in a couple hours a night over there. It really is like crack. I love it. I have this picture in my head of going downtown to find some guy on the corner with my last ten bucks going, "Please, man... Just one more post!" Really addictive stuff.

1. During your visits to Sydney, did you spend any time in Kings Cross?

Oh, yeah. Let's just say I dropped by years ago to, "post on the Panic Community", so to speak.

2. When are you gonna record your next solorecord?

I don't know. Right now I am really focussed on The Panic Channel. Solo material is fun and rewarding, but I really love being a member of a band more.

3. Ever work with or hang out with Dave Grohl?

Never worked with the man, but I have met him and hung with him on several occasions. A very down to earth and funny guy. I have jammed with Taylor. Damn that boy hits hard!

4. What about these banners u requested earlier Dave? Are you gonna use them? What about gettin some artwork up again each days?

Totally! I really dropped the ball with that one. I apologize. Yes, I will get one of those up soon. As for the artwork, I would love more stuff to be sent in. Just put it in the artwork folder at the Community.

5. Hey Dave, are we going to see your new PRS model unveiled at NAMM?

I think so. I hope so. I know I will be there at the PRS booth as well as the Yamaha booth. I'll have to find out the dates.

Start of Darkness

DestinyGood morning. Yesterday we recorded a track called Start of Darkness. Sounds really good. We did it up at this crazy house in the hills with Scott Humphrey and while I was there, I did some stuff on Tommy Lee's new record. Really fun stuff.

1. Dave-R U a fan of Lord of The Rings? Whats your favorite movie? Favorite book?

I haven't seen them. I plan to get all three the next time I have a day off and it is raining. Sounds like a "day".

2. Dave - do you have any tips on recording distorted guitar sounds directly into protools, logic, etc?

Sounds like you are on the right track. I know there is a plug-in called Amp Farm, but for the most part, I don't like to go direct unless I want that "sizzle" for a specific purpose or sound.

3. Hey man I saw Carmen on the Kid Rock Christmas special with the Pussycat Dolls.. anywho I was wondering if you had any plans of laying down guitar tracks with the Dolls or having them guest on something you do.

Carm is actually doing a new group called Carmen Electra and the Bombshells. They are opening for Camp Freddy at the Key Club on January 27th. The Tsunami Relief show.

4. If rhcp asked u to be a special guest at a show with them an play sum one hot minute songs?

Oh, of course I would.

5. I know that the photo strips in DTTAH aren't necessarily in chronological order, but I was curious whether the photos of you on pages 229 and 231 were taken before or after rehab. You look like you a sense of happiness and peace in the pics.

Trippy! Those were straight outta rehab, the final time.

See you at The Panic Community.

6767/Panic Community

Comm_1So we are not dead here because we have The Panic Community flowing! I'll still be here on a frequent basis, but I must say that I love how much the board is growing already. It's a great place for conversations and debates and just random stuff. This place is for sure yours, but that place is YOURS! Also, know this. We put it together and run it ourselves, so it's not some guy at a desk at a label or a service. It's us. (OK. We do have desks, but you know what I mean.) Thanks to Steve Isaacs for the tireless work he put into the board. Well done man! Tomorrow we go to the studio to demo a track. I better get to sleep. Peace my babies...

Sunday 10

Images(For repeat questions, if I don't answer, it means I either do not have an opinion or I just do not know.)

1. Dave, I know you and Manson are friends and all, but do you try to stay away from him due to his coke habits and such?

Not really, but when I was deep into drugs, I was much less available to others.

2. Also is there anyway those of us who are not attending can help with your fund to aid these victims?

Yes, we are going to get an address for Indie 103.1 and put that up. You can send donations to Indie c/o Camp Freddy Tsunami Relief Fund.

3. I know you are a Woody Allen fan and I wanted to know which of his other movies you could recommend? Do you have a personal favorite?

Crimes and Misdemeanors, Husbands and Wives, Hannah and her Sisters. Annie Hall is a must!

4. Ever since I saw you kiss Dennis on CPS...How do you reach the point of maturity where you cannot only move on from past relationships, but become friends with each other's ex's?

First, you have to realize that your partner's past has absolutely nothing to do with you. For us, it's easy, we love each other, therefore we love all the things that helped make us who we are. We are both friends with each other's ex's. Dennis is totally cool. Carmen loves all my serious x-girlfriends too. It's just kind of a choice. Do you need to feel threatened in your life? Isn't it easier to just give love and kindness and realize that we are all just people doing this life thing? Carmen has gone out with some really amazing and dynamic people, as have I. Hey, if it wasn't for Carmen's relationship with B Real, I would never have jammed with Cypress Hill. Fear turned into love can make for some really great experiences.

5. On CFR last night, did you say that you were definitely going to quit smoking, or that you were going to think about it?

I am seriously thinking about it.

6. In your book you have a lot of pictures of yourself, there aren't any that show you in the really bad state you got into, why was that?

Well, I do think there are several that are pretty bad, but for the most part, when I got really sick, I wasn't so much interested in the whole "photo booth " thing. The ones I do have are just a little too gnarly to put out. The whole process was difficult enough. You know?

7. Also, I read an old Kerrang article that had a question about when you and Carmen started dating, and it quoted you as saying she asked YOU out?

That is true!

8. Dave, when you joined the RHCP, what was the 1st RHCP song you jammed and perfected with them?

Suck My Kiss

9. Hey D-dogg did you feel a sense of relief after DTTAH was finished and completed? In other words, did the writing of the book have a therapeutic effect for you?

Totally. Plus, being able to provide assistance to other addicts with the proceeds helped me feel like it wasn't all wasted time.

10. What song reminds you of Carmen with the exception of your wedding song?

Teardrop/Massive Attack

CFR Saturday

07dannysugarman

Tonight is an all new CFR. I think Billy Duffy from The Cult will be dropping in for a chat. We will play some tunes, go to the phones, recap the CF show on the 5th and all the rest. By the way, House of the Flying Daggers is amazing. Check it out if you get a chance. It's kind of a Crouching Tiger vibe with the effects, but the story is also amazing. I loved it. My prayers are with writer and ex assistant to The Doors, Danny Sugarman, who died on Wednesday, January 5th of lung cancer. He was 50. We will miss you.

Rainy Day

Rain. A lot of rain in L.A. I love it.
"I love the rain. It washes memories off the sidewalks of life." - Woody Allen - Play It Again, Sam

Perkins is off doing some Banyan gigs so we are kind of just chillin for a few days. I have all these screening copies of films for the awards. Rain, day off, movies... I couldn't have planned it better.
So far I have checked out, The Woodsman, with Kevin Bacon, about a pedophile who is dealing with life after prison. It is slow, kind of a "mood" film like Garden State or Lost In Translation. I enjoyed it. Ray, with Jamie Foxx, just incredible. Maria Full Of Grace, dark drug smuggling movie. Pretty good. The Assassination Of Richard Nixon, with Sean Penn. Penn is always terrific. In Good Company, with Dennis Quaid just seemed like a cable movie but Marg Helgenberger is always worth watching. Beyond The Sea with, Kevin Spacey, I got through 1/3 of it and couldn't do it anymore. The Machinist, with Christian Bale. Kind of Fight Club/Memento-ish, but Bale's commitment to the craft is unreal. I read he got down to eating only an apple a day. Today is all about the House Of the Flying Daggers.

1. I've been trying to start a Jane's Addiction tribute band for a while now here in LA. But I just realized I probably need to ask first. May I have your blessing?

Hell, yes!

2. Will Carmen ever join CF on-stage?

There is a really great chance that she will be joining us on the 27th in some capacity.

3. How is Scotty doing?

He is really strong and healthy.

4. The question I have is about the note you left for Fiona Apple (in blood). What did it say?

"Have a great show. DN"

5. I once read that you were given an amp that David Gilmore used while recording The Wall. That has to be the coolest damn thing ever. Have you ever used it on any of your recordings?

I haven't but it was given to me by Bob Ezrin. I love just being in the same room with that thing.

CF Update

Cfvegas

Last night in Vegas was insane! Let me try to figure this out and see what I can remember about the show:

I know we played with Joan Jett, Xzibit, Tone Loc, Scott Wieland, Macy Grey, Juliet Lewis, Steve Jones, Jerry Cantrell, Billy Duffy, Tony Kanal... Who else? It was just killer. Also, there was like this porn convention going on so it was really extra off the hook. I described it to a friend as being like hell on a good day. We did the usual set of Sex Pistols, Bowie, T-Rex, and all that, flanked with some hip hop like Macy singing Blondie's Rapture with Tone doing the middle rap. We also rocked his classic Wild Thing with the Halen riff, Jamie's Crying. Chaney came up with a killer groove and we just free style jammed with Xzibit. That was killer. Ironically, my Grand National happens to be at West Coast Customs right now getting all "like new". I wouldn't say it's being pimped, as I am just having paint and interior done. No PlayStations or fish tanks or turntables. I just want it to look nice. Joan, a first timer for Freddy, did Bad Reputation and Pretty Vacant with us. I'll tell you, she looked and sounded awesome.

In 2005

MickWe went back to writing yesterday. Back to work in 2005. We are spending the greater part of this month writing and fleshing out new songs for the record and plan to finish up the album in February. As a result, we are unfortunately canceling our Feb 17th Key Club show. We plan to reschedule in March and then begin to do some out of town shows finally. No list of dates or cities available yet. Tomorrow, the Camp Freddy boys and I are shooting off to Vegas again for a Sony Playstation party. Just a one day trip. Camp Freddy will be again playing at the Key Club in L.A. on January 27th. The proceeds from the show will go to support the people in South East Asia. It is a public show and there is no guest list. It will be first come first served, but nobody will have to wait because of industry types cutting ahead for a list. There is no list. Also, I have received information from a reliable source that Mick Mars is still doing the Crue tour, despite Internet rumors regarding his health.

Be well,

DN

Re: The Crue

There is a rumor here that I might be participating in the upcoming Motley Crue tour. I have not been approached by anyone associated with Motley Crue. I do plan on going to see them.

"According to BW&BK sources, rumor has it that MOTLEY CRUE guitarist Mick Mars will be replaced by RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS guitarist Dave Navarro on their forthcoming reunion tour. Mars' ongoing health problems are the reason for the switch."

I just figured, "Hey, I have my own site, why not just set it straight now?" I pray for Mick's swift recovery if he is, in fact, dealing with health issues.

1. A while back you mentioned that you and Neil might be doing an art show that would somehow involve cut images from DTTAH. Is that still going on or has it been put on hold because of all the other projects you're involved in?

Yes, that will for sure take place but I do not have an update at this time. I am really focussed on the band for now. The art show will probably happen after we are done with the album and awaiting it's release.

2. Nine Inch Nails will begin touring in spring and Guns N' Roses will be touring this summer. Will Panic Channel approach any of these bands for an opening slot?

I doubt that we would approach them, but if we were asked, we would happily accept. Trent is one of my all time favorite artists.

3. Do you know if you're going to appear at all in the next VH1 "I Love The 90s (Part Deux)" series? Or will you be as surprised as we will be?

Well, they kind of shoot a whole lot of questions at once and then cut the answers into different shows, so I never really know when an answer will be used and for what.

4. Dave are your chrome hearts jeans, women's jeans?

I really don't know. I do have a lot of women's jeans however, they are just cut better.

5. Is there an official date for TPC in February?

February 17th at the Key Club in L.A.

6. Paul Dianno or Bruce Dickinson?

Paul rules, but I'd have to say ultimately Bruce. He has put in the time.

7. Which CSI do you like the most? NY, FL or LV?

I used to be an old school supporter of LV, but my girl, Emily, is on Miami so I have kind of switched over. I just have to look past Caruso's line delivery. He is kind of like the modern day Shatner.

8. If you had to spend time on some island in isolation for one month straight, would you rather take your own guitar, or 30 of your favorite CD's?

I'd learn how to play the 30 CD's and take the guitar.

9. Who would you consider your song writing to be similar to or inspired by?

Just life and everything in it.

10. Do you think that guitar is something anyone can pick up if they have the passion, or is it something that has to be learned when you are young.

Anytime. It is never too late to find something you love to do.
