Thanx for the comments and input. Part of me feels like, as someone said, with all that's going on in the world there must be something better to talk about. The other part of me feels like, with all that's going on in the world, why not just lighten up for two hours a week? For those of you that find "blue" material offensive, you may not wish to tune in for about two weeks, as the shows are pre-taped, and in the meantime, Billy and I will have conversations, coffee and will return live for call in comments in the New Year. Christmas Eve coming up! Have a great holiday and look for our Christmas gift on The Panic Channel Site. (Not just yet.)
Love,
Dave

I'm off to my brother's to spend the Christmas. Here we celebrate on the 24th, mostly. Once again, have a very merry one, all of you! And Dave, I love your conversations, recorded or not.

~Dave~
So Carmen did alot of shopping for herself huh?? That is not such a bad thing she knows what she likes lol. You have to go out and do all that shopping she is going to find some cute things for herself :). I know you are such a good hubby going out for yet another grueling day shopping at the malls. Hey if you do well maybe you will get something nice for x-mas well... you know you will anyway haha.
I think you radio show is on satilite radio right?? I do not get that so am afraid i do not get to tune in. The most important thing is do what you want and have fun that is the key. You should have a place where people can download the shows to listen to them.
YEAH!!! i was so excited i won a bootlegged copy of Till Death Do Us Part on ebay i was so pissed when my dad taped footbal over my copy. He told me if i found a way to replace it he would buy YEAH!! so now i have a copy again until the dvd comes out in stores.
\m/ Have a great x-mas and a ROCKIN' New Year \m/

what is funny is funny.
I have an 8 year old boy. We just bought him a cd player/radio for Christmas and would be pretty shocked if I heard him listen to a person masturbating on the radio.
But being his parent and being nosey I believe I would know what he is listing to. I think that would be the case of what ever age he would be. I think your program (CFR)is for mostly Adult/older teens not 11 year olds. I'd let my son listen to Steve Jone's show but not yours. However I like listening to your show and understand that it's not for shock value, it's just funny and not ment for little ones.
Why not have a good time at work. Like Joe from fear factor. He thinks of these grouse things and gets a kick out of seeing these people doing stupid things. I find it funny.
I believe your heart is in the right place. Your not out there to shock, hurt or scare people.
Have fun.
dig it.

Hi all,
It's a late night here... My husband just came home from work, so now I can go to bed peacefully. Before I forget, though, I want to say one more thing about the content on the CFR show.
DAVE: Ultimately, it's your show, so it's your choice to broadcast whatever or whoever you want. As long as you're being yourself, whatever makes you happy and feels right is just fine with us.
Good night!
Love,
-Denise

Dave... I love the show however you decide to do it. It's two hours when I can count on at least a few laughs, some good music, and it's always good to hear you and the other guys from CF talk about anything... so keep on being yourselves, ok?
To Dave and the Family... Happy Holidays! Stay warm, stay safe, and have fun!
Peace,
Tim/Panic Agent Nitewing

Good Morning everyone!
So, it's Christmas Eve. I'm Swedish and we celebrate Xmas today over there. But this year, I'm in London and working on this day. Will fly back home tomorrow though so I can celebrate with my family.
Today will suck for me, probably. I'm working in a department- store and of course, the London Underground has a strike today. Right in the middle of the last- minute chaos. Sweet. Not. I am an optimist though, so I will make the most out of this!
So, Dave, everyone- MERRY XMAS to you all!
Question:
Dave, will you change the black nails to red just to get in the Xmas- spirit? I know I will do that :) And by the way, do you paint them yourself?
Take care of yourselves and have a great time celebrating!
Cheers from London

I don't like to talk about myself but for the sake and glory of Blue I will digress. I am a record producer and a damn good one. I am not some big shot and I can't really drop a bunch of names to validate my work to the masses - but i am committed to sonic exploration for life - period.
I started out my professional life as a government operative doing all kinds of stuff that would make the average ivory-tower westerner squirm. I was involved in all sorts of stuff that is still secret to this day - so a lot of say these proclivities would be considered "important" or more "socially relevant" than say - searching for the lost chord progression or tweaking soft synths until the wee hours of the night.
I remember taking one of the first flights out of LA after 9/11. I was in the smoking area at LAX having a smoke and I verbally engaged this person who expelled "god - 9/11 makes all of these rock star types look like chumps" or some such banter.
Now I understand there is a valid point of view in what this person expressed. I just want to express that I believe the real battle is all about metaphysical awareness and release - or lack of release. It is about freedom, and truth, and (unfortunately) sublimation of the masses. American society in particular is still reeling and scarred from its puritanical heritage. Any entity that stimulates "release" or "understanding" in our society is of great service. I dare say of greater service than anything I ever accomplished under the guise of being a government operative.
I say this - if things get rough - and unfortuntely I am pretty sure they will - then this is not a time for constriction or a return to a more conservative modus operandi. It is a time for more release, more abstraction, more discovery and hopefully more acts of love and understanding.
Media is powerful! From a quantum viewpoint one could accurately say that music, or radio shows, or visual art forms deal with vibrations directly. Humans can only be aware of vibrations - that's it! This is very scared stuff! The news channels deal with vibrations directly but all we seem to get is a lot of fear and rigidity.
So Dave, fare thee well (and without fear) in your electromagnetic (i.e. radio) endeavors. I say the same for all who may read this.
Much love and respect

I'd like to wish a big 'ole home grown Happy Birthday to Mr. Ryan Seacrest who's 30 today! Yes, Ryan is originally from Atlanta, and I tell you, we couldn't be more proud. He's proof positive that interns at radio stations CAN actually make it in the business. Known throughout the world for the host of that idol show, he is also gonna host the ball drop this year from Times Square (insert your own joke here). Keep up the great work, Ryan!

"Lyn, Was he born with a tail, too?"
Willow, I'm not 100% sure on the tail thing with Ryan, but water cooler discussions and rumors have it that he WAS born covered with fur. BTW, that was a joke, and any resemblance to THE Ryan Seacrest is purely coincidental. Oh God, I think I hear the American Idol lawyers at my door. Ryan, I REALLY do love you! Gotta run!

Speaking of Canada, any plans to do a pit stop there anytime soon? We'll trade the US for you as a Canadian export, and you guys can keep Celine Dion in Vegas!!! Ha ha!
You and Carmen have a good one!

Good Morning 6767 Family.....Merry Christmas Eve~!
I just wanted to clarify some of my CFR comments.....
"Umm, with all due respect folks, CFR doesn't pretend to be deep......
The stripper thing was not an indictative part of CFR, not for as long as I've been checking the show. And the Howard Stern references are ridiculous."
"so, let's climb down off of those soap boxes, k?"
I am wondering if Lyn actually read the entire posts that Barret, mortisha8, janesotheraddiction & I wrote....we didn't suggest CFR should be a "deep" or heavy intellectual roundtable discussion! lol I feel we all somewhat agreed there is much more to ANY entertaining radio show than it simply being a sleazefest. I also wasn't suggesting that was ALL CFR was about.
As RMM & I already commented, the ability to shock isn't even there anymore. To me, that sort of radio is just so predictable. CFR has been so much MORE than that, they don't need to 'lower' themselves to be like any other crap radio show.
I commented on 'certain' aspects of a few CFR shows which I found tacky. Of course, I'm quite aware the show isn't always veering in that direction. I NEVER implied that either. I just don't want the show to continue in that one vein. And please don't peg me as a 'Holy Roller', 'Fundie Christian' or anything of that ilk! lol
I turn on Stern's E! TV show almost every night, hoping for a fun celebrity interview like Stern's 'old' days, unfortunately there's usually another naked brain dead wanna-be stripper showing her wares. The Stern references weren't "ridiculous" in light of what I was alluding to.
The point of the Stern mention was to explain that his show wasn't always the sleaze-o-rama it's become. There were always sexual aspects to his 'comedy', but they didn't encompass the whole show as much as they do today.
I've been listening to Stern on & off since his NBC days in NYC, so I think my point was a valid one. Stern's skits & characters were pretty cutting edge/funny even without the sexual innuendo.
Before Stern went national, the running jokes about local NY 'institutions', such as the Long Island Railroad, were comedy classics! I don't 'hate' Stern, I simply wish he would go back to being funny, entertaining & witty, not just coast on very predictable, low brow sexual humour to keep a certain portion of his audience happy & drooling.
On CFR a few weeks ago, Matt talked about was his groupie fest while on the road. When the guys asked how the VR tour was going, it seemed that was the only aspect of the tour Matt wanted to talk about....all the chicks he'd slept with & was hoping to. lol Read any Zep book if you want to hear about rockers & groupies. Old news.
Btw, I've been listening to CFR for the past few months, since Dave put 6767 back up. I listen to the ENTIRE broadcast (9-11PM here in NY), I've taped many of the shows. I'm was simply commenting on the parts I've heard & didn't enjoy. Everyone here should be able to post their feelings, my opinion is just as valid as the people who enjoy "blue" material.
I'm not posting to argue that my point is the 'correct' one or to stand on a 'soapbox', I just wanted to make some suggestions for the show .
When an 11 year old does call in, the guys have to realise there are many young people who LOVE rock music & might be tuning in. Many future musicians get interested in music at fairly young ages. Lots of kids, who are into music ARE listening to the radio as well as to CDs. The CFR show is aired early evening on the West Coast, it's not a late night show.
I've been a Dave fan for a looooooong time, I KNOW he's extremely witty & very intelligent...that IS the point...there is so MUCH MORE to talk about.
As Denise posted; "But my own personal opinion is that you are witty and interesting enough without having to resort to "shock" tactics. If it happens naturally and organically, that's one thing, but it's not something that you guys need to actively seek out."
Billy & Dave creating that song on the spot....now that was freaking brilliant...!!! Dave singing some song in the style of the Rob Thomas/Santana hit.....just plain hilarious~!!
Courtney & the rest of their guests talking about their experiences in the music biz....Simara calling in talking about her new band...Billy & Dave's movie reviews, as well as fans calling with reviews & commentary....these are just some examples of why I tune into CFR and why it's so entertaining & fun.....
I'd like MUCH more of that & a lot LESS T&A!
Stepping OFF the soapbox...... ;)
Have a GREAT Christmas Eve~!

Dave, I never get a chance to listen live, but I usually download the show later to listen to. I see be yourself. Do whatever feels natural for you. It's up to us parents to watch what our kids listen to, and it's really about having fun, right? Do you thing man. We'll be behind you no matter what:)
On another note, have a GREAT Christmas everyone. I hope everyone has some great family time, and has a SAFE weekend!

I am usually shocked to hear what some people let their kids do, but in this case, maybe listening to your show is keeping that girl from doing much worse things...
Somebody tell me...where the fuck have all the parents gone?

I think CFR is great as it is,not gonna analyse it too much, because it's live you get an element of the unpredictable about it,anything goes.
I don't take it seriously.
