Mine are: More exercise, getting my home in better order, more me time.

Glad to hear you guys are having a neat time
New Year's Resolutions huh?
Join a gym- and try not to quit within a month
Start gigging and record a demo/EP/LP with my band
Gotta love Dave's idea (read it in last year's Christmas Kerrang magazine): Gonna quit the giving up smoking idea
Any original resolutions guys?
Posted by: strays at December 28, 2004 11:36 AM
I am trying to make mine realistic this year.
I couldn't play the link to TPC on any computer I have access too (and that is quite a few). Any ideas how I can get it?

Hi Dave and family,
I just wanted to say "hi". I'm glad D&C are having a great time.
I'm still finalizing my New Year's resolution... we have a few more days, right? LOL. I know that I want to maintian all my good habits, and enjoy my bad ones for a little while longer. :)
Without getting into it too much, I think my main goal for 2005 is to be less critical of myself. I'm a perfectionist by nature, but I'm finding that this gets in the way of things sometimes. (Looong story.) I think if I can ease up on myself a bit, most of my other issues will fall into place.
I hope everyone is well, and maybe I'll see some of you in a few days!
Love,
-Denise

Davvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I have to ask you something even though I don't believe and WON'T believe it either =\
I went over my friends house yesterday and he had a goregous poster up of Carmen Electra and such and I was very happy to see it and I told him I loved the poster and out of nowhere that guy (Josh is his name) said:
"Didn't you hear? Dave Navarro is cheating on his wife" and I flipped out on him and said "No..that's not true, how do YOU know?"
He goes "My Uncle works for MTV and he was out at a club with that african american singer that won on American Idol and he saw Dave hooking up with all these girls at one table or w/e"
Dave..I know this can't be true...but for some reason it pisses me off so much that I just HAD TO tell you about it
People are ridiclious >:| i hate liars!
But yeah..Do you have anything to say about this? Maybe even have anything to say to Josh?
<3 Thanks

Happy Holidays Dave! It brings a smile to my face to see that things seem to be going so well for you. Most of the questions I've ever had have been asked at one point or another, but here's one just for fun: Do you wear cologne regularly, & is there a specific one you wear?
- Stay Real,
John
Posted by: John at December 28, 2004 01:29 PM
Yeah, I'm SURE Dave would do something like that in public, in front of a bunch of industry/MTV folks... LOL
Vanessa - If your 'friend' knows that you like Dave, it's possible that he's just trying to tarnish your image of him. Without knowing much about this, it sounds like Josh might have some ulterior motives...

Wanted to wish everyone here a Happy Holidays. I'd like to invite all of you to come and register at my board. I've lost a lot of members who gave me trouble and were essentially haters, you probably know from ANR.com. I need some quality members. Also, I have to admit that TPC video "Bloody Mary" seems to have a lot of promise. Best of wishes to you and Carmen Dave.

Vanessa, I have some clarification for you. Josh's uncle didn't see Dave with Fantasia cheating. Seeing how I look real similar to Dave, I believe what he may have seen is me hitting on Ruben Studdard. You know how it is, someone tells someone that tells someone, etc..., and the story gets all confused. Anyway, hope this clears things up for you and Josh and his uncle.
Have a great day!

Hey Sonny,
I tried to register twice right when the last tour was ending last Dec., and never got a response from admin to let me in. Why was that? Maybe too much traffic?

I just gotta say hello to the lovely Simara Rose... Starlit ROCKS!! You should be able to get the christmas CFR from Freak eventually if nobody has sent it to you yet.
In light of Venessa's post, I think this would be a good joke of the day:
John invited his mother over for dinner. During the meal, his mother couldn't help noticing how beautiful John's roommate was. She had long been suspicious of a relationship between John and his roommate, and this only made her more curious.
Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between John and the roommate than met the eye. Reading his mom's thoughts, John volunteered, "I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you, Julie and I are just roommates."
About a week later, Julie came to John and said, "Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the beautiful silver gravy ladle. You don't suppose she took it, do you?" John said, "Well, I doubt it, but I'll write her a letter just to be sure."
So he sat down and wrote "Dear Mother, I'm not saying you did take a gravy ladle from my house, and I'm not saying you did not take a gravy ladle. But the fact remains that one has been missing ever since you were here for dinner."
Several days later, John received a letter from his mother which read: "Dear Son, I'm not saying that you do sleep with Julie, and I'm not saying that you do not sleep with Julie. But the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her own bed, she would have found the gravy ladle by now. Love, Mom."

Hey dave..
I was wondering how you feel about "Wolves in Sheeps Clothing..???"
What I mean is....
There is a guy named "Sonny".. AKA Tommy Harris In Alabama that runs www.xiola.org
He has been selling cds/videos/dvds of your performances for years now..
Since the Janes SPLIT ... 99% of the time , he has talked straight shit about you...
But it doesn't bother him one bit to cash in on your good name..
This guy sucks.. Warner Brothers is on to him.. And so is the IRS..
Just thought you should know..

Hey Dave onto something almost philosophical which you might mull over in your relaxation but please don't answer unless it's cool. 1 little 6-string question but since you're basically one of my only head-scratching-how-the-f$*k-*does*-he-do-that-so-good kind of players it'd be fantastic to ask you direct;
I'm a pretty solid player, particularly on rhythm / picking / textures and can stretch and finger on both hands to play pretty much anything I want to after many years. You can put any kind of part to me and I can nail it with feeling and timing and pace. But the one thing I can't do (despite being a pretty good fake at blues stuff etc to the extent that people go "ooh and ahh" a lot) is just let rip on faster SOLOS and basically rock / metal out the way that many people can. When I listen to that live recording of you many years ago (aged what 17 / 18 / 19?) doing Whores live it just blows my mind that you were blasting away like that then. So here's my basic question - how-da-hell-did-you-learn-to-do-dat!!
Now granted over the years you refined your playing a hell of a lot and when you rip it you rip it more refin-edly but can you give me something *specific* about how you learned to do the solo thing. Listening to records is the beginning and the end tip that people give you but it's so imprecise. How DID you build up that arsenal of fast rips that simply *work*? Have you got some favourite patterns that you learned to build on? Doing the whole modal thing never really connected for me....
Thanks

I hope you are having a helluva time on your vacation with Carmen! It's such a lovely place Hawaii (taken that it is Hawaii...). I once had the greatest privilege to go there w/ my brother's family and I must say I'm forever grateful.
I hope everyone can make good New Year's resolutions. The kind that everyone feels they ought to. Haven't decided mine for sure yet but I'll keep on thinking.
Would still like to urge everyone to donate for humanitarian aid in SE Asia, even if it's just a little bit! I wish I were richer so I could donate more.
Wanna wish a good day to everyone!

Dave,
I finally found that Men's Journal magazine (the one that features your workout) on EBAY, and after reading it I tried your routine out at the gym last night. Ouch. I've been working out on a regular basis for the last 1.5 years, but your workout is pretty rough. Gotta love that sore feeling, right? Anyways, you said you eat a high protein/low carb diet. I am on the same diet, and was wondering what foods you eat while on your diet. I'm eating tuna, peanut butter and banana sandwiches (before workout), honey (after workout), eggs, almonds, spinach leaves, yogurt, lots of fruit, oatmeal, and different types of cereal. Any good workout foods that you would suggest? What do you eat to keep your protein intake up? Hope all is well.

Hello all
happy Birthday Krista
Dave, Hope you guys are taking it slow...for a change.
I'm a little bent out of shape tonight. One of the most tragic occurances of all time happens and all the fuckin news can talk about is a missing photographer boyfriend of a SI model. Guess what? Over 50000 people are dead and missing and our mainstream media has no clue how to be human. I'm disgusted.
Posted by: jim hill at December 28, 2004 05:13 PM
Why talk about something so depressing like the 50000 dead when you could talk about MY SITE www.xiola.org
Try to stay positive.
Posted by: sonny at December 28, 2004 05:15 PM
Happy Birthday Krista! Fellas, chill. Preferably, if you have personal grievances, email each other.
Jim, if you ck out CNN, the station that has Anderson Cooper on it, one of the two stations, there are plenty of other stories other than the photographer, some uplifting, some extremely tragic.

Sonny, I wasn't trying to press an already depressing issue, but I just can't stop thinking about it. Six of my friends just came back from there three days earlier and my brother's family, including my 5-year old goddaughter who means the world to me, have spent the past two Christmases there on resorts now awashed in the ocean. I'm so glad they stayed home this year and I got to spend the most splendid Christmas with them.

6767 Family!! I seriously doubt that ANY of the posts claiming to be from Sonny are actually sonny...He has had a lot of immature people posting his actual home address on ANR. Whatever you think of Sonny, he is a true Jane's fan, and that is HIS site, to do with what he wants. I imagine the truthteller is one of the ones that was banned from his site(fidel castro, anyone)
Dave himself has said that sonny is welcome here, let's respect DAVE's wishes.....

Mr. Navarro IS on vacation and I appreciate that he took a moment to let his fans know that he cares. I'm sure it took him a mere 30 seconds to leave the whole 3 sentences! Shows his loyalty to his fans. Something MOST celebs don't do.
And I don't know what's with all the 'psycho babble bullshit' but, I would hope that you being "here" and being fans you wouldn't even bother with it. Celebs hear it ALL the time, everywhere and with everything they do. So leave them be. How's that saying go. . . "To each their own!"
Thanks for the update Mr. Navarro! Hope you're time away with Carmen has been glorious!

I don't know much about Sonny from Xiola (except he was/is a BIG Jane's fan who has run the Xiola website for along time), to my understandig the REAL Sonny did post here awhile ago claming there was a FAKE Sonny posting nonsense here. He also apologised to Dave on this blog.
I hope that whoever these two new posters are, 'Truth Speaker' & "Sonny', that they WILL quietly take this current 'fight' OFF this board.
The 6767 Family has made this a very pleasant place to post & share our thoughts (even though at times we all don't agree) on various topics, that is what makes the world an interesting place.
Dave himself has been very kind & gracious enough to post here on a daily basis, to interact with his fans on many levels. So please, 'Truth Speaker' & 'Sonny', don't spoil it for the 6767 Family by spamming your personal dirty laundry. You two guys ARE clearly fighting, you have email addresses....simply write to each other.
PLEASE guys, take whatever grievances you two have with each other, OFF this blog.
I'm sure Dave knows about people bootlegging his music etc, that is his business. I'm sure he is dealing with it accordingly. Dave is NOT a fool, he knows what's going on.
THANKS~!
Re, the missing photographer & the model. Ironically there was repeat of 'Conan O'Brien' on recently in which he interviewed that same SI model.
She seemed like a very sweet, funny & happy person, how sad for ANYONE to lose a loved one in that tragedy.
Of course, the media is always going to bring up that a 'famous' person was missing, injured or killed, that IS the world we live in today. 'Fame' always seems to take precedence over things when reporting any type of news.

Happy Birthday, Krista! (Caps rule)
This whole Sonny drama is retarded...
I have a cold, and I am cranky. Perhaps I will still have a cold when my birthday rolls around this weekend on THE 2ND (shameless plug). Hmph.
Jez... I love you, and I generally agree with what you say. But I am going to choose to debate you on this highly important issue: Carmen looking like Debra Messing. Debra Messing?? Both beautiful women, they are in two totally different physical categories. Debra Messing: skinny, big nose, flat chest; Carmen: curvy, teeny nose, large chest. I look more like Debra Messing than Carmen does, and that's only because I have red hair (sometimes). Now go pick up your new prescription glasses at the optician, silly girl. Did I mention that I love you?
Did I mention that I love all of you?
And now I must go to bed...

Hey everyone,
Cheers from Bulgaria.
I just found out yesterday about this site, and i find it sooo cool that Dave actually spends time to answer these posts.
I was very lucky to see Jane's at their Berlin gig last year. I could not imagine that this could happen to me, since I live far in Eastern Europe, where the great bands such as JA would never come around for a gig.
I am excited about The Panic Channel and looking forward to their album. Bloody Mery sounds promising.
So Merry Xmas and Happy New Year and keep this thing running :)

Big Happy Birthday goes out to Mr. Jude Law who's 32 today! Yes, Dickie Greenleaf, and the Sexiest Man Alive, had ONLY 6 movies released in the last year, and is already a veteran of 29 films. Along with Decaprio, Dave, and Billy, I must confess Jude is indeed on my man crush list. Jude, if you read this, I have head shots, a monologue, a killer bod, and I'm free to travel, in like a moments notice, and I'm a damn good actor. Just an FYI. Keep up the great work!

That is Miguel (puff, bluntman etc, etc...) and Fidel Castro posing as sonny. Both are trolls who has been banned repeatedly from xiola.com and have super hard-ons for Sonny.
To many of you posters here do not know enough of the behind the scene stories and are directiong your animosity towards the wrong people.
Although Sonny does sell bootlegs of live jane's shows which I do not agree with, he has always supported Jane's and their side projects and even dave as he went from the guitarist that we grew up with to a hollywood pinup boy who rearly even acknowledges his former band on this site.

For your cold, Zicam. I used it last month for a cold and it worked, unlike the $20 fancy chinese herbs I spent three days taking. Felt a cold coming on yesterday, started the Zicam again, gone.
As for Debra Messing, I never thought it before, but I kinda see what Jezzy means, in some photos, anyway. Not separated at birth or anything, but like cousins that share some common DNA. (But her husband looks nothing like Dave).

and for the Tsunami tragedy... 5 of people I know are missing... 1 assumed dead... the world is a weird place, people are going to celebrate christmas and they end up six feet under... so sad! sniff- - - - -**
200 finnish tourists missing and 1500 swedish. It's a lot if you think that in Finland there are only 5 million people...
My girlfriend is now starting to complain about the way I eat... Dave! Do you know a good book where you read how you should eat, or do you just know??? I would like to change mine to a healthier direction... Let's ask like ...-thinking-... what did you eat today???
At monday I started to eat all kinds of herbs 'cause I had drowned in alcohol almost whole autumn...(hard work needs hard joys)... and my friend who is a herb doctor, and knows about all kinds of herbs which gets toxins out of your system... most of them are finnish herbs from nature ,but I have also "ginseng root"... Anybody do you know good medicines??? from nature of course... I hate chemicals...!!!
Peace and happiness... to all...
feeling a bit down and blue... but I'll be fine...

Adina, I love you, I didn't mean to say they were the same body type, but as my dear Willow backed me up on...kinda like cousins...Thanks willow...
It's something about their eyes, and the shape of their mouths, and the beer I was drinking
Lyn, I agree, I love the birthday postings, it's like we all have our little jobs here
Fidel!!! I KNEW IT....

Hey Dave,
This is my first time posting. I just wanted to take a moment to say I'm happy to see you so happy and things working out for you. Of course, that was absolute cheese... but still heart felt. :)
Here's my question... was the Janes XXX album really live? Because I noticed alot of guitar still being played during some of the solo's (example: Pigs in Zen).
Btw, the solo on "3 days" is still, hands down my favorite solo ever.
Hope you're enjoying the sun in Hawaii.
Late,
-Gen

Dave, what'd you get for Christmas?
Tim
Posted by: Tim at December 29, 2004 07:31 AM
Jezebel and Mike-thank you, they will continue.
Nightbird-Jack Daniels and Contact cold medicine, but only 1 shot of Jack per 6 hours-and no operating farm machinery (I know, you REALLY need to plow the Lower 40, but it's just gonna have to wait).
Timothy-my prayers are with you and your friends. Just because they are missing doesn't mean all is lost. And if you need to know anything about herbs, I'm kinda an expert in the field. Natural herbs. Healing herbs. The medicine kind. Not any other kind.
Have a good day folks.

Dave!
"Bloody Mary" is bloody awesome! I just d/l'ed it and listened and I am very excited. Thanks for this great gift. I cannot wait to hear the other tracks.
So of the gifts that you got, which was your favorite this X-mas? What about of the ones you gave to others- which were you the most excited about giving?
With respect to the earthquake/tsunami tragedy in Asia, I wanted to encourage everyone to donate whatever they can to the Red Cross: https://www.redcross.org/donate/donation-form.asp. Be sure to select the Internation Response Fund. The company that I work for has pledged to match dollar-for-dollar the dontions of all of our employees. For those of you that work, find out if your company is doing something like that, or if not, encourage them to do so. They can claim a tax deduction- as can you- for making a charitable dontion. It's the season of giving- please help!
Happy New Year!

Wow the first mtv broadcastable quality video.Didnt take long did it?But then whos suprised, image before music right? Not that you could really call it music,or at least good music. And im not just saying this because stevie mac cycle is a twat but just because its kinda sad.You go on about how fuckin organic the channel are, but really you just mean how much like a pile of shit you are.The parts dont fit.Theres no chemistry theres no interaction theres nowhere to go and all the while theres this voice whining transparent lyrics to a boring obvious basic tune. You look like a goddamn cartoon charactor and the band like some midlife crisis parody of shitty high school band who are trying reeely reeeeely hard to be deep and profound superdupermillionare rockstars.Maybe thats what you were going for though, maybe I'm wrong.Maybe your not trying to create better music then what youve already done, regardless of the money insentives and the celebrity. But I doubt I am ever wrong.
See its like when you said some passive shallow shit aboiut being excited to hear what comes of the Perry,John,Flea,Jack collaboration.Because that actually is pretty exciting.Everyone must be expecting and hoping that they make something fresh, something different something thats not fucking lazy.If they came out with something like bloody mary we'd all be disapointed.I guess I just wish that if the channal is something your doing strictly for your own pleasure that you'd keep it to yourselves. That would clear any hint of money/fame mongering and prevent awarness of the knobhead from behind the music, the old wizard curtain thing.
But then the lickers would be dissapointed. So nevermind.
Anyway, to sum up this ultra comprehensible review of your latest and greatest video/song - you suck, your music is boring and the name of your band sucks too.

Thanks so much Molly for your opinion. We all needed a good laugh today!

Posted by: kara at December 29, 2004 08:37 AM
'Molly' is doing a damn good parody of a bitter, failed musician...they usually become a 'rock critic'....their job is to write 'reviews,' just like hers.
A BIG problem for people such as 'Molly'....a fan with half a brain usually DOESN'T listen to 'rock criticism' or critics in general~!
I think we can all make our choices as to what we want to listen to, watch on TV (or at the movies) and read. Most folks don't need to be swayed by 'critics' or others opinions in general.
Molly's 'writing' though, typos & all, IS good comic relief.

Hi Everyone,
Jezzi - I HAVE to back you up about the Carmen/Debra Messing thing. I have always noted a resemblence between them - in spite of obvious differences. I think it's in the eyes, and some of the mannerisms. They're both very beautiful and sexy, yet they can also laugh at themselves and sort-of poke fun at their images. (Which I think is very cool.) An endearing, old-fashioned kind cheekiness. Do you know what I mean? It's hard to explain... but I totally get where you're coming from.
As for the Sonny drama, and whether he's real or Memorex - whatever. The bottom line is that www.xiola.org is and always has been a great site, with a lot of cool, interesting people. I've followed it and posted there for years. Some of the folks get a bit too caught up in the whole "integrity" thing and whatnot, and some of them can be hostile, but that's the internet for ya. I say live and let live.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day... especially Dave and the lovely Carmen!
For the NY gang... Have we agreed upon anything? Tommorrow's fine for me. Please let us know what's happening (or not). I'm heading out now, but I'll check in later to see if we're on.
Cheers/love,
-Denise

Thanks to whoever posted the tip about 'Charmed.' I can only hope Dave and Rose wind up in some naughty situation...she is so hot...might be time to locate my missing copy of Doom Generation...

Has anyone ever wondered if it *just might be* that Molly is Dave or TPC postulating what fans might think about TPC songs to raise some commentary?
Posted by: Elise at December 29, 2004 10:34 AM
I don't think Molly is Dave or anyone at TPC. They can spell and punctuate.

My humblest aplolgies to the Nightbird. I was laughing how you "politely" told her she needs to get some new glasses. But if you feel like taking your angst out on me, bring it on, baby! I'll take an ass kicking from a doll like you, ANYDAY!
Now Dave's looking at Carmen all wierd! Yea, that'll get him laid..."honey, people say you look like so-and so!" Don't fall for it Dave! It's a trick! It's a guaranteed foot in your mouth! What a horrible comparison.
But what needs to be posted is Carmen's workout! My God did you see that pic of her stretched out in that pink bikini for her calendar! What a fuckin waistline!
Some women need some tips on how to look like THAT! Lucky fucker, Dave!

What a jealous little girl I am. Ha Carmen is AAWWEESSOOMEE, just saying that doesnt do it. Man does her and dave make me sad, I wish they were my parents. Actually I would be happy if I was just friends with them. Anyways, Um I cant see or hear any of these videos or music.. and its driving me nuts. I cant figure out why I cant.

I'm so sorry nicole to hear that your marriage to sonny is in some rough times right now. I'll sayb a prayer for ya too.
I would try to work it out and if not then divorce him. If the rumors of him having paranoid delusional disorders then he really can't focus on being a good father and husband while bootlegging Dave's music and running his website.
Best of luck to you!

finished your book today....you have some life and some house! love the cops going through your house with you...only you could pull that off. very busy and very distant individual you are (yoda speak). Will TPC hit the road for Boston in '05?

i'm so sad. i just heard that Jerry Orbach died last night. i don't know about anyone else, but i am a HUGE Law & Order fan and he's one of the reasons why. i know he's not on the show anymore, but i was really looking forward to seeing him come back in "Trial by Jury". what a bummer. just a great talent. he will be missed. =(

Nicole,
first of all I cannot believe you would choose to come here and air our personal problems to these people who are nothing but droines who worship a hollywood sellout with no integrity. You want to call me a bootlegger and a thief with no integrity. Well let le explain why I feel that way. Dave is sellout plain and simple. If he has no integrity in his music then why should I have integrity with making money off that music.
Further Nicole, I'd prefer to discuss our personal problems in person rather than air it on a website (especially one that isn't mine).
As ever,
sonny

"Has anyone ever wondered if it *just might be* that Molly is Dave or TPC postulating what fans might think about TPC songs to raise some commentary?"
Although posting crap about yourself might be a good way to turn people off so you don't get too "big", I don't think so Elise. If they want our input it would be easier for them to simply ask us "what do you guys think?" then hiding behind a made up name and trashing themselves. They should know that we're going to be honest with them and tell them our opinions on things straight up. The majority of us are on here because we truly think Dave is an excellent guitar player and really like the stuff the Panic Channel is coming up with. Can't leave out that some of us are more loyal (and probably more biased in favor of) to not just the music, but the human beings behind it.
I could go on and type a whole long thing about the mean cynics and suing and all that but I'll spare you all.
love to everyone, have a good day!
