CFR?
I am deep in the workload so I don't know if I am going to make it down to the studio for CFR tonight. I know that Billy will hold down the fort if I cannot attend.
1. Rumor has it, Reznor asked you to guest on the new NIN album... if that is true, is it gonna go down?
No, untrue. As much as I would love it, I think I might be a little too "Us Weekly" for Trent.
2. Guess you probably heard about Perry playing with Flea, John F and Jack Irons. Pretty amazing huh?
I'm way into that. I'm sure it will be killer and I look forward to it. Four of my favorite musicians together never sucks!
3. Dave, I didn't know you are a CHP Captain, I now have an image of you riding around dressed up like those guys from CHiPs, it is disturbingly Village People-ish.
Thankfully, I don't have to wear that outfit as I am the Captain, however, my patrol men do, and damn, they look good! Saucy!
Seven days until Christams. A little something from the boys coming your way on December 25th.
P.S. My World Class Angler Bait and Tackle Event went really great! Over 100 people showed up!

Hey everyone!
Sorry for double posting, just had to post first for once (slightly childish, I know).
Finals are over, I can have a life again! Now I'll finally getting around to answering emails and getting back to recording music! Hope everyone's doing well over here, glad to be back. :) Been outta the loop for a few days and haven't really had much chance to go through all the posts.
A few days ago, Dave said he would like in his stocking a "fat/carb/calorie free pizza." Well Dave, I found something pretty damn close: http://www.pizzafree.com/
I haven't tasted it, so I don't know how good it is, but if you order it now you can probably have it for Christmas morning. :)
Take care everyone!

Yea, but, the true arrival of any Captain is the producton of your own action figure!

Capt. Dave,
Those cross-country flights to do your "jobs" must take a lot out of you. ¿How do you manage?
¿Do you watch the TV show 24? I like it but only on DVD because I cannot wait one or two weeks to find out what happens next.

"Parking is usually a challenge at Navarro's seminars, and he says "I know that the attendance at this one will be rather large. We have the ability to seat 400, although parking can be a problem. I have arranged to use the large lot behind Chaplin Real Estate as well as the large lots across the highway from us." Two deputies will direct traffic."
Dude, thanks! Parking is a bitch near the Key Club. Isn't 'ole man Chaplins' place across from the Rainbow?

Hello everyone!
Dave, missed you at the Christmas Party yesterday (LOL). Lots of food, drinks and poker - it started at 10 AM and I was done by 4 PM. But I did do some sailing with Captain Morgan - and my one boss gave me a bottle of the stuff so I can sail on through the new year. I will need it after the news we got yesterday - the one owner, who normally works on site, will be permanently moving back into our office. I definitely need a new job now!
One week until Christmas . . . And I will be done with everything by tomorrow. If anyone wants any of my baked cookies, let me know and I will see what I can send. I used to have a catering business and that cooking bug just dwells within my soul.
Peace and Joy to all!

Capt.Navarro
Have you managed to reduce road offences and fishing related accidents,do you tolerate jay-walking.
Will you soon be going undercover in a red with white stripe Ford Gran Torino.
Also do you have informants to tip you off to crimes that being planned.
Don't keep your gun tucked into the front of your pants, that is dangerous.
lol;)

Hi Dave and everyone!
For those of you looking for that article about Dave's workout routine, I did some investigative work, and it was actually Men's Journal magazine:
http://www.mensjournal.com/toc/0308.html
However, I don't think it's posted anymore. I read it online a long time ago, but I forget where it was. It may have been linked from xiola.org or something. Good luck finding it.
Otherwise, I hope everyone is well and enjoying the season.
Lastly, I'm hoping that this "10 question" trend will continue, at least for a few more days until Christams kicks in full swing. I have a question for Dave, which I will post in a new message.
Cheers,

??? QUESTION TIME ???
DAVE - As the year is coming to a close, and we all reflect back on 2004, here is something I'm curious about:
?In light of your hectic schedule, do you ever get a chance to actually read through the posts here on a given day and follow the drama and/or hilarity that sometimes ensues? Or do you (understandably) skim through them? If you ever do the former, what is your overall impression of the '6767 family' that has formed?
Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Hey everyone!
I hope the Xmas- shopping has not been too hectic this last saturday before Xmas. Myself, I of course work at Harrods, London so as you can imagine, my feet are on fire at the moment- after standing up for 8 hours straight. Nuff complaining now though!
QUESTION TIME!
Dave, are you a dancer? I know you have roots in Spain and stuff, did you ever learn to dance salsa or anything? When you go out clubbing, are you more of a sitting-down-watching-people kind of guy? You move really nice with the guitar so I can imagine that you secretly are a Ricky Martin at home! HAHAHA =)
Take care everyone!

I've been meaning to email you, just got wrapped up with Christmas stuff.
I'm pretty far behind with everything....I finally finished writing my Christmas cards. I also hand designed a few cards for close friends...my best friend in California & another friend who moved to Japan 2 years ago because of their job.
Knowing how slow the mail is, I fear some people will be getting their cards AFTER the Holidays! lol
take care,

"I hope the Xmas- shopping has not been too hectic this last saturday before Xmas."
Shit, I knew I forgot something. (Haha! I'm not even kidding!) Buying a house during Christmas is crazy! I'm only mildly aware of Xmas decorations all over the place as I drive back and forth moving stuff. I really gotta get my shit together, before I wake up and am surprised that it's Xmas Day and then realize I have no gifts for anyone. :p
Cori, LOL at your story. I know what you mean. I wanted another house at first, but the buyer rejected my offer, and I really couldn't go any higher. But it worked out because I ended up with a bigger and much nicer house, and for less than half the price (!) of that first one. :)
Colleen, yeah, my list of things to do is ridiculous! I'm trying not to get freaked out about it. But I can't help but be freaked out about the basement. The house is a hundred years old and the basement looks sorta like an old cave. It is so scary! No way will I ever go down there at night. Nope. No fucking way.

hey family
gig went well lastnight, just the venue was very un-organised, they really screwed us around. there was soo much confusion as to the advertising of the gig, and confusion to us getting paid. they said, "no, its a free gig, you guys dont get paid but u get a R300 (about $50) free bar tab!" but guess what, the manager never pitched up to give us the tab, so we didnt get paid or get a bar tab! they are seriously getting a mean phone call from me today!
anyway, Dave, question...
are you fluent in any other languages?
here in south africa everyone speaks at least 2 languages. i speak english(obviously) and afrikaans. i know alil bit of Xhosa, but nothing that i would ever brag about.
stay well

Picture Show (Did you ever dress up to see it, Dave ?)
Courtney Love rocks....Did she call in?
ummm, what else, oh yeah...GUMMO!! Dave, you MUST have been there, unless there was a reference to Halloween?

well hey, you learn something new every day!
Dave I had no clue that you're a captain of the California Highway Patrol! That's so cool! I don't know why, but I think it's so great that you take on a role like that in the community. It's funny because I always thought if you weren't a musician that you would be involved in law enforcement.
The bait and tackle event was in Florida? I'm assuming you didn't attend then? Do you like to fish?
greetings to everyone, hope you're all doing good!
We looked at some cars today and I'm getting excited about getting one! Although all the accidents I saw over the last week have kind of freaked me out a bit...
I saw a Ford focus that was a killer deal which I really liked, but it's going to take some time to shop around some more.
Also watched The Polar Express tonight at a 3-D Imax. If any movie will get you in the Christmas spirit, this one will, it's a crazy fun magical ride all the way! Such a cute movie!

Hi everyone, missed CFR because I had to work late today =(
Anyway, was wondering if I could get some of that world-famous 6767 positive energy flowing my way...my grandpa is in the hospital. It doesn't look like its serious, though they are not sure what's wrong so this was the third night he's been in there for observation. Hey Everyone!
Well its been hectic here trying to get Xmas sorted and I've got my folks coming for New Year so I wanna make that special for them.
I was asked the other day if I could have anything I wanted for Xmas what would it be? I'm still thinking ... so I'll ask you all & Dave the same question.... what would you have?
But one thing does spring to mind ... the possibility to travel through time I think that would be awesome, then I could answer a few of my own questions about like what is the true purpose of Stonehenge, The Pyramids and so on.
Abby hope your Grandpa is feeling better soon.
Have a fabulous Sunday everyone!

Hey everyone- In a week it will all be over . . .
One starry night,
so long ago
In desert heat,
not mountain snow
A Child was born,
upon this earth
We now celebrate
His holy birth
How could God
Send His Son
What love He had
For everyone
To give us all
a second chance
For life hereafter -
Our souls should dance
But somewhere with
The Holy One
We forgot the meaning
Of God's only Son
That not the gift
Or lighted Tree
Is why He came
To set man free
The trimmings and wrappings
Bring such joy
But have little meaning
For Mary's Special Boy
He must feel sorrow
When He watches us
For a man in red suit
Gets all the fuss
Do you think that He smiles
When He sees children's faces
The life and the laughter
The joy it embraces
The neighbors who watch out
For one another
Enemies who now act
Like sister and brother
So what of
This time of year
Listen real close
And I think you can hear
A chior of angels
With songs from above
Still spreading the news
From heaven with love
Remember that on this
Holy night
A Child was sent
To bring us light
So that we
When earth's no more
May meet again
At Heaven's door
~ Blessings to all for a safe and wonderful holiday!

LMAO Kyle, not at you, but with you. The 3rd language you need to learn to speak is Business, lol. Never play a gig without conditions for pay in writing beforehand. And btw, I'm laughing because this same situation happened to me and my band, oh, I don't know, like maybe 6-7 times before we were smart enough to work with contracts and stuff. If you guys are serious about music, get a serious manager to avoid that type of thing.
Gummon is the best American movie in the last 20 years, IMO. Fargo is pretty damn good too. But, being Southern, I obviously connect better with Gummo. For every character in the movie, especially in the scene where they beat up a chair in the roach house, I know someone I can compare to-that's frightening (filmed near Nashville). Harmony filmed that scene in a house that someone actually lives in and those were real roaches crawling up the wall. Scary, scary indeed. Bunny boy? What can be said about his performance that hasn't been said before? "I love that little rooster and that rooster loves me.....COCK A-DOODLE-DO!"

Abby & Colleen....you are in my thoughts and prayers....enjoy your precious time with your loved ones...."Love is forever"--"The Crow"
Angel, what a beautiful poem! Did you write it?
If I could have one thing this Christmas--
1.) Physical Thing--a piece of exercise equipment (to lose weight to *try* and be as beautimus as Carmen--that will take an Act Of God on my part!)
2.)Spiritual Thing--to spend more time with the people I care most about, rather just people who are in my life (does that make sense?)
Off to watch "It's A Wonderful Life" ("Merry Christmas, You Old Building & Loan") and get ready for our 13 hour drive home to Arkansas next weekend (and no, I am not *from* there, and I am not marrying my brother! ) Anyone else got major travel plans?

Just a couple of questions.
Have you ever met any of the following and if so, can you share a story?
Dennis Hopper, Jack Nicholson, Robert Deniro, Al Pacino?
What was the movie that originally brought you and Steve together to collaborate on?

hey lyn...
i know what you mean about getting a serious manager for the band. getting screwed over by clubs and venues isnt fun. but i managed to sort out the problem earlier today, not only have they saved the bar tab for us, but they want us to play there next month, they will give us another bar tab and pay us aswell, and this time im taking your advise...they sign a contract!
but hey, im laughing with you about it, atleast its worked out now

Lyn, you should've asked "have you ever met Frank Booth?" instead of Hopper... I would never want to meet Frank Booth because "he's a very sick and dangerous man".... **in dreams**
