Bummer!
I really wanted to see Jennifer take it tonight on The Apprentice. Poor thing, she really was the more attractive of the two (Wasn't that a job requirement?), plus, she kind of ruled the last live board room in my opinion. If I was going to hire either Kelly or Jennifer to work "under" me, well, I guess you can see where this is going...
A lot of great questions today, I'll try to get to at least 10 tomorrow.
Also, Christmas is around the corner. The boys and I will have a special holiday gift for all of you at The Panic Channel site on December 25th!
Goodnight...
Dave

Hiya Dave and all,
I followed the discussion about the Death Penalty the last days......
There have been and always will be terribly sick people around in the world. No Death Penalty has and will ever stop that.
When i read about cases like the Peterson one or the Marc Dutrout case here in Europe (Belgium) i tend to say YES but on the other hand.....no one should "have the right to kill someone"......i don't know.... I think its different when you are personally involved and that is totally understandable imo.
---
Someone asks Dave how much spare time he has...that'S a good one, i always wondered that too. Do you have days when you just sit at home all day long...alone or with your wife..practically doing nothing "serious".......(very familiar too me).....
and how and where do you spend Christmas and New Years?
have a good day all,
love,

Dave,
So since you married a non smoker what "rules" were laid down on where and when you can smoke? I've just been told to go to the patio =(
On the topic of the death penalty I'm all for it!! Prisoners live better than most working class Americans. They are guarantied 3 meals a day (I don't get that some days), they have cabel TV (my mom can't afford it) free gym, free room and board, a job, friends, free computer access and a right to a free education. I feel we give too much conideration to humain executions. They never took any of that into consideration when they brutaly killed and or left someone for dead. So why should we? In my perfect world we would have a prison set up specificaly for people on death row and they won't be given a date or a monor of execution. They will live in a constant state of fear and then one day a sniper will just come in a pick a few off at random times in random manors.
My 2 cents!

Hello Dave.
As for the Peterson case and all similar...I say any and all horrific crimes of this nature should see the guilty FRY! If I were related to the victim, i'd probably do it myself.
To another topic...playing gigs has become a little concerning for myself and fellow musicians alike. In this day and age, the metal detector should be introduced into clubs and bars. Some people sure ruin it for others!

FRY HIM ON PAY-PER-VIEW AND GIVE THE MONEY TO LACI'S FAMILY.

Can I ask a favore of those willing??
I grew up in a family that was in need not just durring the holidays but all year. I would like to ask everyone if they have any extra funds this year to please go out to your local mall and find a wish tree. If you can do this please find a child that is over 9. I ask for the older kids because that was about the time I quit recieving a christmas presant. Everyone wants to buy something for the little ones but forget about the older kids. It was so hard for me ta see the people from salvation army come to drop off the gift for my sister then explain to me that my name wasn't picked and they were sorry. If the wish tree isn't something you feel compelled to do please just drop off some old clothing or caned food at your local shelter or food bank. even the smallest things help.

As for the Apprentice, I don't think the ending lasted long enough. Three hours is just too damn short. I think they should have a 24 hr cable channel, WDON-you know, all Trump, all the time. He can put on his show, sell a clothing line, write sitcoms that star him, a variety show ("hello my baby, hello my darlin, hello my clementine"-the vision here is he's tap dancing) do the commercials for the channel, have a news show with him as the only anchor, do one of those make-over shows where he boots out a 50 yr Brooklyn woman on SS and builds a casino on her property, you know? I mean, come on, WE MUST HAVE MORE DONALD!
Nice sentiments, Rain. I'll go to my local Target store-oh, wait, there's no Salvation Army at Target this year because they banned them! Great PR move there, Target. God knows how much business you sent to the evil empire of WALLYWORLD on that one.
Dave, will there be a board on TPC.com? Someway to group the subjects so I can easily go back and review my witty comments from like 3-4 months ago? Just thinking out loud here.
Peace, folks, and have a great day!

One last note on the Peterson thing from me-you know who's almost as sick as he is? The people that send him "fan mail". Unbelievable. Good to hear 'ole Scott is in good spirits after the Death Penalty sentence-source-AP:
"REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Scott Peterson remains cheerful despite being sentenced to death just days ago, buoyed in part by the constant flow of fan mail he continues to receive, the San Mateo County sheriff said Thursday.
Peterson's demeanor hasn't changed since he was transferred months ago from Stanislaus County to the San Mateo County Jail, even after jurors found him guilty of two counts of murder, Sheriff Don Horsley said during a news conference. On Monday, the jury recommended he be sent to California's death row.
"He has been his normal self. He is very cheerful. He is very compliant and very helpful," Horsley said, adding that jailers describe him as a model prisoner.
"When we move him from one area to the next, they do have to put restraints on him and he helps them," Horsley said. "He's not suicidal."
He added, however, that Peterson has lost "a lot of weight."
"I told him ... 'Scott, you've lost weight. Is the food bad?"' Horsley said. "He said, `No, it's actually better than in Stanislaus County."'
Peterson was convicted Nov. 12 of murdering his eight-months-pregnant wife, Laci, and the fetus she was carrying."

~Dave~
I know someone was offended by my comments the other night but oh well i have always been a person to say what i feel. I just feel Scott should not be sitting in Jail for the rest of his life he should get the death penatly and like you said it does not mean he is going to get it right away or anytime soon. Hey they live better then some of us in there ya know which to me just isn't right. They say he has already recieved marriage proposals in there and has a huge fan mail from woman. Now how sick in the head are these woman i am telling ya. I am sorry to hear your mom's killer is still sitting on death row it must be hard for you and your family.
I do not watch the apprentice it must be good i have heard you talk about it a couple of times i will have to check it out next season. I am a HUGE reality buff though i check it all out haha. Hi my name is Melissa and i am a realityholic lol. Like you said in an iterview once you give up your addiction for another i have now been clean almost 5 years and consider it my biggest accomplishment in life but like you said have replaced it with something else.
Yes when are we going to get some Panic Channel merch?? Hope you have a ROCKIN' holiday.

Looking forward to the gift, I have TPC music on my wish list, it would be nice for those of us on the East Coast.
How is the creative process right now? Are things flowing naturally? Or are things a little slower?
I haven't said it in a while, but Thanks! Dave. And to 6767's thanks for making my day a little bit sweeter.

I have a simple holiday wish..I don't want to hear about this case anymore...it's Christmas, ok, let's talk about the death penalty that was imposed 2000 years ago on a guy whose only crime was that he said he was the Messiah...FRY, Jesus, FRY!!
Misty...how I wish I had known you then...I usually go to my son's YMCA or to WalMart,Walmart is really easy, cause they have already picked out something that they want from there, the older boys usually want White Tees, and the girls usually want some kind of toiletries..What a great idea!! Come on 6767ers, let's make a difference...walk the walk!!
This book I read a lot says something like 'whatever you do for the least of them, you do for Me'...I like that.
DAVE!!! ok, remember I asked this question before...What Christmas song would you or the Panic Channel, or Camp Freddy cover?
Family!!! In honor of the ubiquitous VH1 lists...what's the most awesomely bad Christmas cover or song you have heard....I am partial to violent behaviour whenever I hear WHAM's Last Christmas....

yeeeh! my mum and i just bought a tree and we decorated it and the rest of the house..and it's beautiful! the whole house smells like christmas now, candles everywhere, oranges with spices hanging at red ribbons on the ceiling
now i've done something for myself, time to do something for someone else! i'm gonna walk with a big smile on the street, even when it's raining and cold. i'm gonna salute to people i don't know, and smile. i hope no-one will beat me up for that......or maybe i can check out some charity-organisations..and see if there's one for the people in my own town
you see, the christmasspirit just hit me
and now i can't get 'last christmas, i gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away. this year to save me from tears, i'll give it to someone special -special-" out of my head...arrrg,i hate that Whamsong

How does one become a Panic Agent? I registered at the PC website to be on the e-mail list. Does this mean I am an agent?
¿Dave, what was your favorite Christmas present?

Poppyseed, the picture is of the runner-up to a game show type thing that airs in the US. Dave is bummed that she didn't win. The show is spread out over an entire TV season, and the winner gets a job with the real estate mogul, Donald Trump.

Hey Dave,
I am curious what you feel about Trey Anastacios guitar play. I saw theyre dvd, Bittersweat Hotel (Motel or something rather?) and found it very interesting ands funny as hell. Very well put together dvd doc. Good mix of commentary, behind the scenes compostition and various sets from shows in the US and Europe. I think you would find some of the stuff they do amusing like when Trey negotiates the price of a 357 Magnum in some country just to see if he can get him below what he wanted. Its a very entertaining movie and I dont even care for their music terribly. I do respect Treys riffs though. Wow.

They're airing only the 1st season of The Apprentice in Finland, and besides, I haven't followed it too much, so all I can say about Kelly is that the lady is a Trump.
Just got back from this photo shoot thing. First time I earned money by just sitting in a BMW convertible (probably also the 1st time I sat in one). Maybe I outta become Zoolander... Or Hansel 'cos I'm blond. Ok seriously, it was a nice and new experience for me.
I'm restlessly awaiting the Panic surprise! Better not think about now so I won't lose sleep over it.
Q: Dave, has Anthony or Flea ever said a word to you about the Roxy show where the 1st Jane's album was recorded? I read someplace that they both think it was hands down the best rock show they've ever attended, and that it formed an awkward silence between the two which lasted about 15 minutes! Oh yeah, and did you open that show with Trip Away like the record? I just can't get enough of that thing Perk plays in the beginning!
A week to go people,

Hi All,
Lots of interesting stuff happening here today, I see. I'm on my way out soon, so I can't comment on them all... but I wish everyone the best. 2 key thoughts:
Jezzi - I don't know who that guy in the pic is either. We were all hanging out in B&N, when some weird dude in a hat approached us and wanted to take a picture. He was cute and seemed nice enough, so we figured, "why not"? ;)
Mike from NYC - I used to LOVE to play UNO. I haven't played it in years. Maybe at our next gathering... :)
Take care and have a wonderful day, everyone!
Love,
-Denise

Yesterday when i wrote"hmmm, have RHCP gone pop,or has pop gone alternative"
That was in response to the post directly above mine by
DAVE gEFOW,who said he thought thy were 100% pop.
What i meant by that is that there is alot of alternative music in the charts these days,so no i don't think RHCP have gone pop, alternative music is in the charts so it is heard more these days.
Ya got a little defensive there.:)
You should know i love the music.;)

Dave,
Given that you've found your own sense of spirituality, would you agree with Einstein?
"When you examine the lives of the most influential people who have ever walked among us, you discover one thread that winds through them all. They have been aligned first with their spiritual nature and only then with their physical selves."

Eric Avery has been on tour with Alannis Morrisette. I've seen him on TV several times over the past year.....on Jay Leno & 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' backing Alannis.
I don't know if he's a permanent member of her band, I guess you can go to her website to find out.

Favorite contemporary Xmas song is "the Fairytale of New York" by Christy McColl and the Pogues. Simply amazing. Available on the "Edge of Christmas" album, available at all fine rekkid shops, for charity. Only Christmas song I'll listen to on repeat play.
Aside on Christmas song fun: I'm a fan of the minor key, 'dour' Xmas songs, God rest ye merry gentlement, We three kings, Little drummer boy etc. To me, if I get to sing one of those... THEN it's Christmas!
So... My mother in law wants someone to go to midnight mass with her, and so I agree to tag along since it's likely the only opportunity I will have to sing one of those songs that year. We get to the church, it does not spontaneously combust when I enter, and we sit down with the programme. I'm looking over the songs for the night and... there is is... God rest ye merry gentlemen. Fave XMas song of ALL time! I'm so excited, I literally am bouncing in my seat with anticipation.
The mass proceeds and it comes up to my song and...
they SKIP it, saying 'we're running late, so lets move ahead to away in a manger'
I sit there in angry shock for a second, then (forgetting where I am) saying in my normal speaking voice, "I cannot fucking believe this! They skipped my goddamn song!"
My mother in law has never asked me to go to church with her since then.
(the church, surprisingly, STILL did not spontaneously combust)

Dave, did you take lessons when you were learning to play or did you teach yourself. How do you feel about Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony McAlpine or Vernon Reid? All good players but not recognized in the mainstream, especially today. As for Scott Peterson none of you guys need to worry about him, there is already a hit out on him in jail. The inmates will get to him eventually and kill him. Trust me on this one. The one crime that is not glorified in jail are rapists and child molesters or child killers. Even convicts have some ethics. My two cents.

LMAO Rantz!!!
***clears throat*** OK, all together now, sing along with Rantz:
God rest you merry, gentlemen,
Let nothing you dismay,
Remember Christ our Saviour
Was born on Christmas Day;
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy....

Good to see so many Scott haters here. LOL. I'm hoping that he gets beat within an inch of his life over and over again, for years to come. Then when he finally starts to adjust to life on DR, that is when he should be beat to death. I think that would be perfect!
Made settlement on my very first house this morning, then went out for a Xmas lunch with my girlfriends. I'm having a fun day! Just a little pitstop at home, then over to the new house, and out to party in my new neighborhood. YAY!
