Saw a lot of 67's at the show. Really nice to see all of you. Got my TPC pin! We had a great time. I quickly saw Rantz but never saw him again. Sorry I missed you man. It was great to do the Dragonfly again, but we are super excited to play with Doheney and The Tints on December 2nd at the Key Club. All ages too. After the show, Steve I, Riss and I went to The Rainbow for a little Sunday style throw down with my friend Greg. That place is such a trip. A lot of fun. If you aren't from L.A. and come here to visit, make sure you drop by. The pizza is damn good, son! The rest of this month is all about writing and working out "bugs" for the December show. Hope you can make it. Thank you for all the positive feedback tonight and for your support. So far, this whole Panic thing has been perpetuated through the Internet and word of mouth. Basically, by you guys. So, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
Love,
Dave

Godspeed Man. Damn, if possible, I'm gonna try to get to Cali for the (embarrasingly) first time ever for that show on Dec 2. Can't wait to see you play again. Till then, Peace, and Thank You for this site. :)

I can't sleep...so I thought I would imitate David Letterman's top ten list
Here, from our home office in Peoria, Ill., Top Ten Moments from last night's show::
10. Throwing pin at Dave, sorry Brett, that was supposed to be for you, but duty called...Thanks, Wendy!!
9. Impromptu call and response routine between the virtuosity (is that a word?) of Dave's guitar playing and the limited articulation of what can only be called a group of 'mollies', who only knew two words and had limited fingering abilities.
8. The exquisite bass stylings of the incomparable Chris Cheney!!!
7. Stephen Perkins' look of total joy while playing the drums, barefoot, mind you!!!
6. Steve Isaacs' emotive (is that a word) vocals and facial expressions, not to mention some hot eye makeup and awesome threads!! He is only getting better
5. The lovely girl standing next to me during the set, who truly exemplified what I think a true 'jezebel' should look like, complete with horns and rhinestones, I think her name was Samara
4. Having the honor of letting Courtney Love in front of me in the line for the ladies' room...Only in America!!
3. Seeing the warm, sincere smile of Larissa Friend, thanks for the hug!!
2. Being there with bluelizard, my dear friend Blanca, who said tonight she knows me better than I know myself, how true...te amo amiga bonita!!!
1. DAVE!!! DAVE of the beautiful smile, the sweet nature, the awesome musical talent, the great sense of humor, his neverending coolness....and......those PANTS!!!
Good lord, is it possible to be any hotter!!! that was me, I couldn't help myself, he is ever so DREAMY!!
jezebel(Thank you)

I knew this insomnia would pay off :p
Glad to hear the show went well and everyone had such a great time! Dave...what was the absolute highlight for you last night?
"Guilty Pleasures" (although I don't REALLY feel guilty):
1. 6767.com/Dave
2. Buffy/Angel
3. Pimp My Ride/MTV/VH1 in general
4. Porn
5. Journey ;) (but only with Steve Perry)
6. BSB (Tim, where are you...you're supposed to have my back here! :D )
7. Oldies Christmas Music...Nat King Cole probably my fav along with Andy Williams, Bing Crosby, Johnny Mathis...I change out everything in my cd case on Dec. 1st and listen almost exclusively to Christmas music the whole month of December. Oh..and believe it or not, Donny Osmond (used to LOVE him when I was little) has a very nice Christmas cd.
8. The Doobie Brothers
9. The Movies: Arthur and Gone with the Wind...not to mention every Christmas themed movie ever made!
10. Jamocha Almond Fudge ice cream
Happy Wednesday All! It's moving day for Grandma, yea baby!
Don't forget to find a dark place and watch the leonid meteor shower tonight!

MAAAN, it sucks being stuck in London and not being able to see you live! I know you are coming our way soon though! Or else, I will come to the US as soon as I can... So anyway I was wondering, are designers throwing themselves over you and Carmen wanting you to wear their stuff for premieres and stuff like that?
Take care everyone!

Hi Dave and Family,
I am glad to hear the show went well and I can't wait for everyone to post their pics of the event. I have to share this - I just found out I am going to see BOB DYLAN tonight!!! He is playing at the Ryan Center, which is at the University of Rhode Island!!! The last time I saw Dylan, and I am now dating myself, he played in Foxboro, MA witht the Grateful Dead - when Jerry was still alive!!! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself.
Dave, have you ever seen Dylan live, and if so, do you have any great stories you would like to share?
Thanks and have a great day everyone!!

That's it! I'm moving to LA. Jezzie's post made me so jealous. :-(
itanja... coffee and war stories. It's a plan! (I am in NY, baby.)
Cori... I am so happy for you and your grandmother. I am amazed by how neglected and mistreated the elderly can be. You are a fantastic granddaughter for going to the lengths you did to ensure her comfortability in the winter of her life. I feel the need to give you a happy hug.
I have no problem admitting to my guilty pleasures:
(ok... so I have to repeat some of what's been said already)
Saved by the Bell the original/Mark Paul Gosselaar, what a hottie!
Buffy/Angel/Tru Calling/Charmed... or any other "teeny-bopper" TV show with supernatural undertones
Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler and Liza Minelli (pre-David Gest, pre-90s actually)
fluffer nutellas (my indulgent take on the classic fluffer nutter, but replacing peanut butter with the evil hazelnut cocoa spread)
singing at the top of my lungs to Gloria Gaynor in the car/shower
I almost started admitting some things that would incriminate me, so I'll stop there. ;-)
I just want to mention here, in case some of you don't know, that Stacey Ferguson from KIDS INCORPORATED is Fergie in the Black Eyed Peas. She grew up good, huh?
Posted by: NightBird at November 17, 2004 07:25 AM
To all of you that were able to see the show last night - damn I'm jealous! Jezzi, you painted a perfect picture!
Mike from NYC - Baton Rouge and New Orleans are about 70 miles apart - an hour on I-10. Are you coming down in Feb for Mardi Gras?
Guilty Pleasures ... so many...
I reluctantly admit that when my 3 year old is asleep I keep her Disney Channel Shows on - I love me some That's So Raven and Sister, Sister. Not to mention Lizzy McGuire!
I am and will forever be a Seinfeld fanatic.
I love hurricanes, tornados, and any natural disasters. I actually WANT them to come to experience them. Sick, no?
Given an option of seeing the movie or reading the book, I would pick the book everytime. I have a reading corner complete with lamp, cozy big chair, bookshelf and CD player.
EBAY. Pure Addiction.
Whew, glad I got all THAT off my chest :)
Great day everyone!

Hello everyone!
Dave - Unbelieveable show last night! Absolutely fantastic. I saw the last Dagonfly show as well, and I think that this one blew that one away. Really tightening up.. I have come to the conclusion that Steve Isaacs is one of the best vocalists I've ever heard. I was absolutely blown away by him (all all of you) last night! Holy range and emotion. And let me tell you....that was the dopest version of Dazed n Confused I've ever heard anyone do. Props for even attempting it - and triple props for pulling it off like THAT! Wow. I'm awestruck. Can't wait for the Key Club.
BTW - got some great photos last night. Would love to share themn with y'all... is there a place I can sent it??? Please someone let me know -
Also - the best thing in the world is if you posted that Dazed n Confused version for download...
I've been thinking about the show all morning...
Nice meetin ya yesterday Sarah! In the future, if any of you 6767ers want to say Hi, c'mon over. I'll be the tall guy with the dreds, rockin out...
Have a great day everyone...
Much peace and love to y'all -
Thanks again Dave, Steve, Stephen and Chris...
Much peace -

Jezz, I just got a new job at VANDELAY INDUSTRIES! I went in, yada yada yada, I got hired! Serenity now! Oh, and don't forget Festivus for the Rest of Us. And the puffy shirt. She was a low-talker, he didn't know.
And George the Marine Biologist - The sea was angry that day my friends like an old man trying to return soup in a deli!
And Kramer - I'm flippin, I'm floppin...my boys need a house!
The best, Jerry, the best!
Who else is going to remember all these? Jackie Chiles that's who. You put the balm on? Who told you to put the balm on? I didn't tell you to put the balm on. Why'd you put the balm on? That's deplorable, disgusting, outrageous, egregious, preposterous.
Okay, I'm killing myself laughing over here.

Beautiful People,
I am glad everybody had a great night last night at the DragonFly. I very much appreciate the support of the people here. It means alot to me. Yesterday, I had a "Day From Hell" and well everything just went wrong and thus I wasn't able to attend the show. I guess you have to have a day like that once in awhile, but I am shaking my fist at the sky that it yesterday of all days! But "I SWEAR TO GOD" I am there on DEC 2nd! So I hope I didn't let anybody down becuase well I kinda feel that way (Phil-don't think that your off the hook here, I still have plans as Dave guitar tech LMAO!). Thank you Jezzi for the words of support and "about the pin", I would have done the same thing LOL! Be safe everybody and have a great day!

does anyone else thing it's NOT coincidence that almost all of us have very very similar guilty pleasures? i mean we come here to worship at the altar of dave, so we're bound to have some similarities.
lol...can anyone post DETAILS of the show last night? i'd really appreciate it :-) thanks

First off, Hi Dave, thanks man, figgered your ears were ringing and my lovely wife was still feeling a bit under the weather so we bolted after saying hi to Steve. No worries, I'm sure we'll see each other again sometime in the not-so-distant future.
Last night's show.
Well, let me preface this by saying I'm a bit of a misanthrope. I don't like being around bunches of people. I tend to freak out a bit in crowds, even small ones. The effect of TPC's music was such that I did not notice ANYONE outside of me, my wife and those four crazed men on stage. Powerful is the smallest word you can use to describe it and doesn't even begin to tap into what you're seeing/hearing/feeling (Sorry Steve had to do the Tommy ref. there.)
Observation: Chris and I were seriously concerned about being the old farts at the show, being in our late 30s. One of the surprising things about the show was the demographics of the crowd. Regardless of what some like 'Molly' would say, the crowd skewed much older than expected with the majority in their mid-late 30s. Very very few in the crowd looked to be in their early 20s.
Highlights of the show:
Factoid: Dave saying "I shouldn't have had a red Bull before coming on here!" and acting like he had 'shaky hand.' (Dave, don't be a wuss, go with the Rockstar brand energy drink, now in ymmuy cola flavor!)
Loophole - This song is just flat out fucking great. The change-ups and breakdowns in it had me totally grooving along even though it was the first time I'd heard it.
Go On - You think you know this song from the video on the site. God, you have no idea. It almost brings tears to your eyes.
Comedy Piece 1: Steve introducing multiple songs as "This is a song about a girl"
She Won't Last - The snippet on the site gives you no inkling of what the full song is like. God... it's good.
Watch Steve and Dave play off each other was a fucking joy to behold.
Factoid: Dave sings very good harmony vocals.
Comedy Piece 2: Someone in the audience yelling to Dave "Is Carmen here?" and Dave replying "No, no Carmen's not here... so this half of the room... you can go home now."
Factoid: Chris Chaney is a fucking monster on Bass. This guy is a secret government weapon of Bass. I've seen a lot of bass players, and flat out he kicks ASS. The complexity of pattern that the and Perkins were pulling off, while keeping that smooth churning groove... just. kick. ass.
Dazed and Confused - Not a fan of Covers. REALLY not a fan of Led Zepplin covers. But dear fucking god. They OWNED that song. Anyone who questions Steve's vocal capabilities got bitch slapped HARD by that song.
Factoid: The Diet cokes at the Dragonfly taste like shit, stick with the Red Bulls.
Saw Dave and Steve briefly as they were heading backstage, was pretty sure Dave didn't register who I was, since I had to repeat my name a couple times to Steve before it registered. Nice to say 'hi' anyways.
Overall, the show was really astounding. My wife had gotten really sick on sunday so we didn't know if she was even going to be able to go, but even feeling less-than-100-percent, she really loved it. Thanks guys, great great show. Looking forward to the Key Club.

ok guys, Sav-On won't have my pics back until Saturday....I was shamelessly flirting with professional photographers talking about film speed and scope size, It was almost as if they were talking about penises, I tried to get into conversation, but they saw my Fuji disposable and weren't having it...so...just so you know, as soon as I get the cd back from the 3 day photo processing, I will hook you up, but most of my pics are of Blanca, Cassandra, the aforementioned better jezebel than me, and Perks drum kit, I am such the geek!!!

TPC-from the reviews on here it seems like you played a blinding show.
Rantz-your review has me salivating to hear these songs.
Dave-the fact that some albums have been re-released with a 5.1 Dolby Digital or DTS remix has not gone un-noticed by me.The sound on these must be amazing, how long do you think before this becomes a standard thing?
Your sound would be awsome in a DD5.1?DTS mix.
I'm also wondering with this in mind that albums in the future will become much more of a multi media form, like the way DVD's are, with documentaries and interviews charting the making of the album, with the inclusion of videos and such.
Things like this are apearing much more often now,Stray's Limited Edition with the DVD is an example,
I think this medium could be pushed much further.
What are your thoughts on this.
P.S i've just seen the Classic Albums docu on U2's Joshua Tree, ever been approached to do anything like that?
I'd be very interested in the results if you ever collaborated with Brian Eno.
All the best
Steve L

Blanca, como te dice love you in spite of and because of ...I can not find words for your grace...
Cassandra- is it possible that your pictures make last night seem even more spectacular, they capture the Christmas feel of Perk's kit, the romance of the black roses around the mike stands, you are one awesome photographer, that guy that said "he was with the band" trying to get in our way, he wasn't getting ANY of those shots...and you captured the joy that was "DAVE IN THOSE PANTS!!!"

Sincere thanks to Rantz for the words and Cassandra for the pics; I'm not sure if you realise how great it is to get what we can't have first hand, from some people who really "get it".
Sounds like the show was a blast...I cannot wait until you guys make it over to the UK. I'm so right there!
Love and peace to All

In relation to my earlier post sbout blending the CD and DVD format.
What would be really cool is for one track to be made availible so that people could separate the individual tracks for people with the right computer programs to be able to do they're own mix of a song.

GREAT Pics Cassandra. You know Steve I. is one of the only personalities from MTV over all of these years that I ever really thought was good and made a difference in what I ended up listening to. Thanks Steve! Please play NYC with PC, I have to see you's!
Posted by: J Hill at November 17, 2004 04:52 PM
i saw death cab for cutie last month.
they fucking blow.
they are basically a bunch of 30 year olds who USED TO BE a punk band, then they decided to just play slower since they were older and "more mature".
so it's still whiney, and 3 chords, but slow and boring.
crap.

hey everyone! still a little "dazed" from last night... =)
Scott - it was nice to meet you too. hope i see you at the key club!
Rantz - your review was absolutely dead-on! i don't even need to go into too much detail, because you nailed it. just great!
Dave - thanks for taking the time to talk to all girls and take some pics. i know it must be so irritating sometimes but hey - that's the life of a rockstar!
Cassandra - it's so funny... you were on Dave's side and i was more to Chris' side, so i actually have some pictures that are the same as yours only from the other angle.
Misty - it was great meeting you and talking too. hopefully you can make it down for the Dec. 2nd show so we can hang out again.
Brett - missed you man!!! i was so bummed to hear that you couldn't make it. next time for sure!!
Abby - can't wait to see your pics!!!
Annie - it was nice seeing you again and meeting your son.
Maria - it was nice meeting you and hanging out. you are going on Dec. 2, right?!?!
Jezzi - i'm so jealous!! i never got to see Courtney.
ALL THE GIRLS - if anyone has any pics with me in them, i'd love it if you could send them my way. my batteries died at the end of the night, and only managed to get one with Steve (but i'm not complaining!!)
okay, everyone, here's the link to mine.

i tried to get as many of Perk as i could, it's just so hard with him being behind the drum set. loved the xmas lights and the roses... very festive. i got a lot of Chris too. he's such a nice guy, so humble. i know Wendy took one quick shot of him and i outside right before i left. i wanna see that one Wendy!
love you all! and thanks again Dave!

I wish we had a club like Dragonfly in NYC. I was there a few years ago to see two shows and I loved it! Great photos & reviews guys, I can't wait for TPC to come here! Cassandra, your photos are especially amazing - what kind of camera do you have?!
Posted by: Theresa at November 17, 2004 05:44 PM
Thank you all for your wonderful comments on my fotos. <333 I guess going to art school does have it's rewards... lol. And it helps to have a good subject - 4 sho. ;)
Theresa - I have a Sony Cybershot. It's amazing. It takes MPEG movies too. I got a 1 minute clip from "Dazed and Confused" but I don't have enough room on my server to upload it.

Jezzi, Sarah, Abby and everybody else... I offer all of you a huge "Thank you" for your support/missed you at the show posts. I know that sounds odd but it means a lot to me! So I guess Dave's rocking a "pin" I should have been wearing last night. I can deal with that, better yet... that made my day today. Thanks again.....
Sincerely,
Brett

Rantz, that was probably the most colorful, nicely articulated review of any show that I've ever read. Wow!
Guilty pleasures? Oh, so many to choose from! Probably my favorites are:
1) Baci chocolates by Perugina
2) The smell of Arabian sandalwood
3) Incense
4) Very, very, very high heels and lots of them
5) Starbucks coffee
6) any time spent in Sephora
7) the crackling sound of a fireplace
8) instead of slowly roasting a marshmallow, setting the whole damn thing ablaze for a few minutes, and after blowing it out, enjoying the sweet, blackened, charbroiled goo.
9) Snow crab legs, lobster, shrimp (in that order)
10) almost any Yankee Candle
Spreading the decadence,
Deena

Hey all of you wonderful people! God, I just adore Dave and everything about him and his views and out going personna. And all of the community and all of the interesting things that are said. I have been a bit distressed for some time now, a bit confused and sad. Not looking for weird attention or anything, just want to express myself. I feel accepted here, not judged. I want to trust everyone but reality sets in and I know that I can not. Just having a hard time and would like a tiny support. God knows that I can't get it from where I actually need it. Respectfully, Shawna.

Hey All,
Thanks to Rantz and everyone else who took pics or described the show. It sounds like it was a fantastic time.
And I'm SO JEALOUS that you guys got to actually hang with Dave for a little while! Seriously, good for you. Such is the benefit of living in LA, I suppose.
Just a few more random thoughts:
Dave - Hopefully TPC can play NYC eventually.
Shawna - Best wishes. We're all here for you.
Deena - Good call w/ the Sephora nod! I can't believe I forgot to mention that as a guilty pleasure. That place is a veritable cosmetics crack-house! (No offense to any drug addicts out there...)
Shane - Punctuation marks. The English language has them for a reason.
Regards,
-Denise

Hey Shawna!
welcome, and we all know the feeling! I'm new here as well, and sometimes it's just comforting reading people's entries. excpt for the rare 2 bad vibes here the last few days, this place has the most positive, uplifting energy i've ever come across. A true reflection of the MAN (dn) himself, but people are people and good eggs are hard to find, so welcome to the good chicken coop! Where there are plenty of good eggs!!!
love to all,
peas and carrots!

"Dazed and Confused .... dear fucking god. They OWNED that song. Anyone who questions Steve's vocal capabilities got bitch slapped HARD by that song."
You got that right Rantz!!
Cassandra!! Hey hon, love the pics!
Jezzie- you should have hung with us after the show!
Wendybird! You are such a doll, thanks so much for the pin! I'm going to have to steel some more from ya next show :) (gotta get some to Steve I, Perk, Chris, and Riss.)
Abby and Misty- glad you got home ok.
It was great meeting you Sarah!
baddude I ask you this: what does a band that's NOT trying to make it in hollywood sound like?
have a good night tonight and day tomorrow people.

Shawna ~ you're in good hands here! I can't say I know exactly what you're going through, but it does sound like a road I've been down more than twice. Take care of yourself.
Sephora!!! So awesome!
Another guilty pleasure? The Bubble Boy (not the Seinfeld episode...I love Seinfeld too, first three seasons on DVD next week!!! Finally!) I recently saw the Bubble Boy & laughed so hard! I just bought it the other day. I usually hate silly movies, but OMG, some of the lines in that are hilarious.

Oh yeah, that first pic of Dave on stage at the mic. If I were there, I would have screamed out, "YEAH IT"S DAVE! WAHEY WOOOO" etc..probably would have made an arse out of myself, but oh well. I would have been so excited. :D

Posted by: ylais at November 17, 2004 09:13 PM
thanks Lisa. honestly, i remember you making a comment about how all the pics from the last show were mostly of Dave, so i made a point of taking as many of Perk as i could. plus, i was in the right spot - kinda between Steve & Chris, so i could see Perk pretty good. for a lot of those shots, i held my camera up in the air and just aimed. they came out pretty good! in a little bit, look for an email from me.

It was so nice to see you again Maria and cool to finaly meet you Abby and Sara. Abby I forgot to thank you for all the time you spent online with me before I moved. I think I would have gone insane if it wasn't for our late nite conversation. Sara it is so cool to learn I'm not the only one in their 20's who was raised by a bunch of hippies and made it this far!
I will get my pics up as soon as I figure out what the hell is wrong with my lap top and I can load them with out fear of loosing them.

"Rantz, that was probably the most colorful, nicely articulated review of any show that I've ever read. Wow!"
Thanks Deena, one of my previous lives, back circa 91-95 was doing reporting/reviews/interviews for various newspapers and magazines for the entertainment sections. Mostly music. Feel really rusty doing it these days, as it's been close to a decade since I've done it for a living. The show inspired me though so I had to write SOMETHING about it, and frankly felt like I fell far short of even sketching out in rough form the emotional impact. I blame it on lack of sleep.
To the Molly's and baddude's of the world, What TPC does now doesn't trivialize or reduce what Jane's did in any way shape or form, so why the vitriol? Are your memories and perceptions of a band and the muscians *in* that band so fragile that you're threatened by anything that doesn't cleanly adhere to your preconceived notions of what kind of art an artist should make?
Since you're clinging with such rabid fervor to the Jane's past , I'll pull two quote for you there, Mountain Song.. "everybody has their own opinions, holding them back" and Classic Girl "They may say those were the days, but in a way you know for us these are the days."
Live in the past, you miss the potential of your present at the cost of your future. Of course, I also know this will result in *not* changing your opinion/feelings in the matter at all because it's apparent that you're rather evangelical (if somewhat chemically altered in the case of SCG) in your stance, so that'll be the last comment I make on it.
Looking forward to the Key Club show...

Cassandra, Abby and Sarah, I was so busy trying to get my pics up that I forgot to mention that I totally loved yours. Rantz, loved the review.
Anyhow I was actually a little intimidated displaying mine because the quality of all of yours was so great.
I have tons of work to do right now but if you want, you can send me an e-mail with the picture number that you want and I’ll send you the original file size. I had to scale them down a lot. I don’t have time to respond to anything today but I promise I’ll get to it tomorrow.
Annie, while I was going to sleep I realized that I didn’t have yours up. So I checked in my camera and I have a few more pictures in my internal memory. At the moment I can’t get it out because the essay share software isn’t working but I’ll figure out something soon.
Itanja, send me an e-mail and I’ll work something out. :D
Jezzy, I’m not a talented photographer yet. The only reason your picture turned out good was because of the subject. Hopefully when I buy my good camera, it will become easier getting the shots I actually want.
I have tons of work to catch up with; I’ll catch you guys later.

evenin' everyone!
tonight the EMAs!..the entire week mtv has stuffed our faces with EMA stuff..so now i just have to watch it, dammit!!franz ferdinand is playing, whoohooo. maybe there will finally be some music on mtv...that's been too long. don't know if it's the same in the states, but over here they broadcast roomraiders, dismissed, globally dismissed, the real world..etc. the list goes on and on. i love to watch those things (a guilty pleasure?) but music is still my number one *hearing a tune in my head 'you're my number one' and don't remember from who that is..*
tomorrow i have another math test..to fix the damage from my exameweek, or at least the math part of it. hope i'll do better then last time, my parents will have the happiest day of their lives 'maybe there is a change our sweet daughter will get her diploma?'..no, just kiddin'. i'll practise a bit more tomorrowmorning
see ya guys later, love, emma
