Sunday in the Rain
Lori, I am sorry to hear about your loss. Our prayers are with you...
1. Billy had a question about riders on his blog yesterday, I remember standing in line for your last Dragonfly appearance and seeing your tech wheel in cases of water and Red Bull..anything else your fellow bandmates like to have on or backstage for your gigs?
Not really. We are pretty easy. Coffee, Camels, water, beer for Perk and Chaney. How much stuff do you really need when you're only at the venue for a couple of hours?
2. I heard you say that you liked the 'quirky' callers on CFR...also that the quirky guy would make a good on air personality....Can I come next week to CFR and make an in studio appearance?
We'll see. Maybe one day we can have some callers drop by, but for now the station kind of limits who we can bring along with us.
3. My dog, Scrappy, gets mad at me when I am gone for a long time, and will seek out something of mine to chew and destroy. Has Daisy ever chewed something of yours or Carmen's?
All the time. Usually shoes.
4. How would one book The Panic Channel for a show? Do you have an agent? Is it the same for Camp Freddy?
Good question. I don't really know. I don't think we have an agent. Right now we just do it ourselves.
5. What's in your refrigerator right now, remember when it was Haagen Dazs and Coke?
I don't look in there often. Carmen does keep a case of Coke at all times. I do know that.
6. Does Daisy get to sleep with you and Carmen? Do you take her on trips since she is a little doggie?
Well, we have a live in assistant named Richard who takes care of her while we are away. If she wants in the bed, she gets it. She kind of runs things around here.
7. Dave, what was the first tour you saw VH on, and what was the first concert you attended with Stephen?
Either Women and Children or Fair warning... I'm not sure. Perk and I probably saw Motley Crue together for the first time. This was back when they were in the club world.
I got some great video from the New York and Vegas CF shows that Jennifer Morrison, Billy's wife, shot. If I can figure out how to import video and audio from a DVD to iMovie I can put up some clips. Anyone know how to do this? I can only seem to get the video and not the audio.
Today is rainy and chilly here in L.A. I love it. A great day to hit the MAC store and watch movies. I need three more questions to make this post an even ten.
P.S. Hit the download section to access a clip from CF vegas. (Thanx to FreAk who made this possible.)
Peace be with you...
Dave

Quick question Dave.
If you have one, what's on your wishlist for christmas this year?
Posted by: Rob.K at November 7, 2004 10:27 AM
Dave, is that your guitar in DTTAH that used to be Kurt's? I saw it on display at Guitar Center of Hollywood in May.

Dave, Thanks for answering my question!!! I'm a huge Saturday Night Live fan and I've been thinking you and Carmen would make great hosts together -
Would you and Carmen ever consider doing Saturday Night Live together??
You both have a great sense ofhumor, it would be fun to see you both do some comedy together...

Dude...
Raining in San Diego which is actually a nice change. Yep, sun and palm trees can get boring too. Definitely a great day to hang out, write and listen to music. Right now, I'm rocking Elliott Smith's Figure 8. I have Tom Waits on deck with the Heart of Saturday Night and then the White Album. Maybe some Miles Davis after that and then Pink Floyd. I love rainy Sunday's!
Rock on!
IMA BOUT TA DO!
For me it's Peet's coffee but the Coffee Bean is a nice treat too.

Dave,
¿When you go to New Orleans, what is your favorite restaurant?
¿Did you ever have a mullet?
¿Have you ever played with member of AC/DC?
¿Have you ever posed for Annie Leibowitz?
Thanks,
Have a good day

Great pic today! Love it!
Quick question: Dave, since you like pizza so much, which do you prefer... NY or LA pizza?
(As some of you may know, many pizza lovers SWEAR by NY pizza, insisting that there's something in the water that makes it better. I tend to agree. :) )
Have a great day,
-Denise
Posted by: Denise at November 7, 2004 10:48 AM
Denise,
NY does have the best pizza. I prefer a thin, crispy crust. My favorite is in Ozone Park called NEW PARK PIZZA.
Itanja,
I did not receive the pictures from the CF show. It would not open for me.

Hi Dave...Last night I (finally) saw that old episode of Punk'd with you and Carmen. I had difficulty watching it, because it made me feel stressed out. How did you restrain yourself from kicking Ashton's ass? Unless you did when the camera stopped rolling :) Thanks!

Remember, remember, the 5th of November.
Hey, do any of you guys in the US celebrate bonfire night? I've had none stop bangin for the past week or so...my town has gone firework crazy.

I'm going to have to disagree with the pizza - CHICAGO has the best pizza...

Goodmorning everyone, two questions here:
Dave is there anything that really embarrasses you or makes you blush?
Have you ever laughed so hard that you pulled a Cindy (snorted)?
Posted by: wendybird at November 7, 2004 11:02 AM
Dave,
What do you think of progressive metal..example of band: Dream Theater? Have you ever dabbled/played with it in your spare time?

Dave and all,
Thank you so much for the kind words. As I said, no matter how much we knew it was coming, it's still hard. To top it off, I found out that a friend from high school (32 years old) also passed away yesterday. Ever just want to crawl back into bed and stay there?
Dave,
Since you still needed 3 questions for an even 10, I'll repost my daughter's from my very first post here...ya know, just in case you want to answer! ;-)
Dave,
I have a question for you...but it's not from me. The question is from my daughter, Ashlyn, who is 8 years old. She first saw you on Celebrity Poker and had an instant crush! ;-) However, her question is a serious one. My husband wanted to do something with Ashlyn to have more Daddy/Daughter time. They decided to learn to play the guitar together since neither knew how but both wanted to learn. They went out and they both picked out their own guitars. Ashlyn loves it, however I have a very impatient child on my hands. If she doesn't get something right off, she gets frustrated and upset. She says that famous guitar players probably never had trouble learning. I told her that I am sure even famous people had problems when they were first starting out. So, she wants to know if YOU ever got frustrated when you were first learning, and if so how did you handle it?
Hugs to all,
Lori

"I'm going to have to disagree with the pizza - CHICAGO has the best pizza..."
hellz yeah, you know it baby!! Man I miss Chicago... has it snowed there yet? I bet the leaves on trees are amazing colors right now... Christmas just isn't going to feel right without the snow this year.
Shout out to Misty! And yes, please join us before the 16th LA people! We have to figure out a place to meet up.
So I recently got Tarot cards and I'm getting a handle on them. I need to do some more practice readings! Anyone have a question/problem and would like a reading? let me know and I'll do one for you :) It's up to you if you want the results public or private.

Mortisha - nope, no snow yet in Chicago and yes, the leaves are beautiful shades of fall right now!!! I have been reading Tarot for 10 years and the best part is tapping into your intuative self!! I don't read myself because it's not as much fun... So, I have got a question!!! Can I email it to you or should I post it?
~Melissa~
Posted by: Melissa at November 7, 2004 11:35 AM
Morticia and Melissa,
When it comes to pizza, it's a matter of preference. If you like deep dish, then you have to go with CHICAGO. If you like thin crust, you must go with NYC. Deep dish is not bad, but I prefer thin crust.

Mike from NYC
Posted by: Mike from NYC at November 7, 2004 11:39 AM
mortissha does the question have to be very specific?
Posted by: wendybird at November 7, 2004 11:48 AM
Good morning family!!
!
Now, THIS is what I want to see on 6767,questions for our man DAVE, and a fierce debate about PIZZA!!!
I went to New York for the first time two years ago, and one of the things on my list, after visiting the Statue, the Empire, Times Square and the Carnegie Deli, was to go to the Village and find a perfect NYC pizza. We did find this little hole in the wall place, and my son and niece both said it was the best they ever had...
ME, I make my own, because I can never find a place that puts the toppings I like on them. Example, artichoke hearts, avocados, pineapple, olives, mushrooms, and CHEESE!!!
So, let's tweak the question a bit...
What's your favorite pizza topping?
Which chain consistently gives you the best pizza?
a)Pizza Hut
b)Domino's
c)Papa John's
d)Other
Dave, have fun at MAC, have you ever tried Sephora?
love,

I didn't know Sunday was "the Q&A day " (Feeling mind boggled now.)
Is it?
Dave~Which UK radio station has or will have CFR in syndication?
When does that start?
What prompted you and Billy to ask Adam Ant to join in CF at some time?
Thank you,
Love
Lisa

Dave one more question. Are you going to have a list for the 16th show of must get in agents that still have to pay? I don’t mind paying but I’m afraid that I’ll be a little late because I work late, it would totally suck to go and then be turned away at the door because it’s already packed which I’m positive it will be. In the mean time, I’m going to see if I can get anymore CTO time so I can just take half the day off.

Ah yes, Dave~ I must ask you this one:
When and how did you meet Billy Morrison?

for the Tarot questions- it's up to you if you want to email it or post it on here. The more specific the better.. but it can be a general one as "what should I know (at this point in time/for the future)"?

Hi all!
Dave~ I'm glad to hear that Daisy runs things around your house and gets to be in the bed. I remember reading in an interview years ago that you weren't much of a pet person, I'm pleased to hear that's no longer the case. Pets are people too :)
mortisha8~ can I ask you a really dumb question like "will I ever get Him, or should I just give up and stop making a fool out of myself?"
Hope you're all well!

Mike in NYC, you are right, it is just a matter of preference - I've got to be honest with you, I've never had New York pizza so, I'm just being partial to my city - I can tell you this though, sometimes I do like a good thin crust because the deep dish is just too much when you aren't hungry for it!!
big smiles!!

What's your favorite pizza topping?
Meatball
Which chain consistently gives you the best pizza?

c)Papa John's

I don't eat any pizza chain pizza. They are all bad. I guess the least worst pizza chain is Papa John's.

hey all,
I dont know why but i been feeling real sad over the past couple weeks, i've lost interest in everything and i dont know why!
i hate being around people, i hate talking to my friends and then i feel isolated when im alone.
getting through to the end of the day is all i root for, i am a stable person and wouldn't do anything stupid, so how can i release myself?!
sometimes wish i could jus drive to some quiet place and scream at the top of my lungs!
everything that used to make me happy just doesnt fulfill me anymore.
wot do you do to pick yourself up?

Sandy what's stopping you from driving to a quiet place and screaming at the top of your lungs? Just do it if it will make you feel better. I totally understand about the slump thing. I've been trying to pick myself up too. About moving past something’s just remember that the sun will still shine tomorrow. So if something doesn't make you happy anymore, do something else, go out explore a little more, do something you would never do before like screaming at the top of your lungs, sing and dance in your car without caring who sees you, I don't know just do whatever it takes to make you happy again and remember that life is too short to waste it.

Wendybird-
Although the future is not set in stone, from the cards I get this..
You have faced a great trial and learned much from it and have a deeper understanding now. At this point you are choosing shelter from a storm around you.. you are (or will be?) at a crossroad between 2 paths. Be careful not to hide and run away from things that need to be dealt with head-on. You have the ability to overcome whatever comes your way. Don't let any setbacks or losses distract you from your path. There is much wisdom and teachings out there that you will find beneficial.
There is a possible loss or failure in the future, but it will not be as bad as you think. There might be some possible travelling.

great vibe going on here tonight :D
dave, thanks for answering those questions, plenty more to answer! people are coming up with some good ones
pizza's: i like to make my own. i use a breadmix and for the toppings i like different kinds of cheese, ham, tomato's...nothing experimental. though the breadmix is not very pizza-like, but very tasty
and christine, if you want to borrow some rain, here in holland there's plenty ;) just send a box and i'll fill it up for you
the first episode of the third 24-serie was on tonight...it was pretty much the usual. same characters, the problems you can see coming...the first serie really blow my mind, but i hardly watched anything of the second one. hope this one will keep me glued to the screen again...
a normal schoolday tomorrow, so i better get some sleep.
love ya guys, emma

Melissa, where are you located? Did you just move in with this roomate, or..? What is his/her name?

Posted by: mortisha8 at November 7, 2004 01:33 PM
Thanks M,
The reason I asked about that was because I feel as if I’m a crossroads right now. You are right about the storm around me, I’m living it right now and it looks like it might get a little worse before it gets better. About running away or getting distracted I have a tendency to do this, and about the loss or failure, well I don’t know what that will be hopefully it’s not too bad. Now about the traveling, I have a trip to Hawaii planned for X-mas vacation. But right now because of the storm I’m not sure that I’ll be able to go but I’m doing my best not to cancel this one too.
Thanks so much,
Wendy

Hi folks
Dave,is there any chance of CF or TPC doing any gigs in the UK in the near future, maybe you guys could take over BBC Radio 1 for an evening or Xfm,
I know TCP have only just got going and your working on an album so your real busy with that and getting everybody's schedule who plays in CF to be available and willing would take some doing, would be great though.

Pizza? I make my own, but I prefer the thin crust when I am out shopping & looking for a great slice, the kind Mike described sounds about right! Pizza with a soggy dough is awful.
I also make my own concoction; a pizza bagel....using a whole grain bagel, with some dough removed, mozzarella & sauce. Sometimes I add mushrooms, but I like my pizza basic. Pineapple on pizza? Never understood that one.
As the old neighborhood pizza makers are passing away, we can only hope they have passed their skills & secrets on to the young people! There are some truly terrible pizza places out there.
My local pizza Pizza Hut is 'okay' when I'm unable to get to the best local pizza place, which isn't really close to me, it's in the big shopping area, about a mile away.
The BEST local pizza was at a small shop owned by two young Mexican guys who made the best thin crust pizza in my area! They also had a Mexican menu. Best of both worlds for me! I LOVE Mexican food, it's my favorite. People would travel from different parts of my neighborhood to go to this place, their pizza was that great.
Unfortunately, their rent skyrocketed (typical NY scenario, especially since my area is now becoming 'trendy') & the Pizza Hut/Taco Bell took over the 3 small 'mom & pop' stores, one of which was the small' Pizza/Mex place. I didn't get to talk to the guys before they closed down, as it was so sudden. I went to get pizza one Saturday afternoon & noticed their store was closed!
I looked up the name of the store "Twice As Nice", hoping it had moved locally, no luck in finding it.
My late grandfather had the first Sicilian pizza shop in Brooklyn, he also baked bread & Italian cookies. As he was pretty old when he opened the shop, he kept it opened for just a few years. Unfortunately, my father & his siblings weren't interested in keeping the business going!
I haven't travelled much through the US, but I do know I couldn't find good pizza in Europe! lol
take care,
itanja

Thin crust is da bomb. There is an Italian place called A'Mangiare in Bronxville... and their margherita pizza is to die for! When I visited Italy a few years ago, a few hours out of Rome in a town called Sulmona, that's the only way they made pizza... with a thin crust. Wow... I wanna go back.

wendy- the sooner you go directly out into that storm and confront it, the sooner the clouds will dissipate and the sun will come out and you'll be chillin' in Hawaii.
Melissa...
Once again i say the future is not set in stone, and I can't really give a direct yes or no.
You feel like you're losing control of the situation a bit, huh? You are ready to move on but you have grown attached to this guy. It looks like you have been given (or will be given) a great opportunity or gift that you will carry forward with. You'll be taking on and juggling various projects and things. However there's that struggle between your heart and your head which it seems that you're running away from. Maybe if you talk things out with your roomate it'll help resolve that internal conflict. It's hard to find that perfect balance but it looks like everything will turn out great in the end. Look for some great fun times ahead.

Second: On a more serious note, to Sandy:
I'm no doctor, but what you're describing sounds like a classic case of depression. However, it may just be a temporary bout. See how you feel in a few weeks. If you still feel this way, you might want to talk to a doctor or counselor. A TRUSTWORTHY one. (Yes, I remember the conversation from the other day!)
Has anything happened lately (or NOT happened) to upset you? Are there certain stresses in your life? Often when we feel down, there is some kind of root cause. The ideal solution is to get to the heart of the matter, and see if there is a way to change the situation.
Also, if you don't already do this, you can try getting into some kind of workout/exercise routine. It really helps lift your spirits. I've also heard that consuming more essential fatty acids can help. These "good" fats can be found in certain fish, seafood, nuts and olive oil. (As you can see, I'm fascinated by all this nutrition/natural healing stuff.)
And yes, go out there and scream if you need to. Or find any other (harmless) outlet that you can think of. Yoga, meditation, painting, writing, whatever.
Trust me, we've all been there. I'm feeling stressed over something this very second... I won't bore anyone with the details right now... but I'm trying hard to think good thoughts and hope for the best. So I completely empathize with you, Melissa, and everyone else going through rough patches.
Try to remember that it's temporary, and in spite of difficulties, there are many things to be happy about... Like having cool cyber-friends, for instance. ;)

Dave!
I'm in your favorite city. Here for work, staying at Mandalay Bay. I JUST MISSED YOU BY A DAY! I guess I'm going to have to wait for that Chicago show I keep hearing you talk about to actually see you... :-)
Anyways, it's raining here too. My flight out of Chicago was delayed 2 hours, but I'm here finally. Haven't been here since 2001. I hope it clears off so I can get in the wave pool. Off for some sinful pleasures...

crotchless granny undies??
that just conjured up some nasty images in my mind...
oh hell no..

Sandy~ Never underestimate the power and release of screaming. When I lived downtown, I used to go up to the roof of the Park Plaza hotel (nice vintage thing in a really horrible part of town next to MacArthur park in LA) and just scream one long, hard, ear breaking scream until my lungs felt like they'd bleed and my shoulders started shaking involuntarily. Couldn't do it now, Screaming in Orange County (at least where I live) will bring cops. Screaming in downtown LA... well, no one notices that. Wrap your hands in medical tape and HIT something (non-living). Make sure it has some yield and is upright (otherwise you can fuck your shoulders), and tape your hands, or you can break the bones. Something else, if you can afford it, in terms of time/money, pack 4 days worth of clothes and just point the car out of town and just go.drive for 2 days without any destination, then head back. It can really help you process shit that you don't easily bring to the surface when you are in a car by yourself with the world speeding by and no place that you have to be. Good luck with it!
Pizza: The one place I would kill for their pizza, that I would gorge myself to the point of bursting, is this place in the shitty little town I grew up in. It flat out has the best sauce, crust, everything of ANY place I have ever been, big or small. Their regular toppings are excellent, but every time I get up there (about once every 5-8 years) I get their 'Barvarian Special'... polish Sausage and Saurkraut. I'm not much of an eater, but damn it's so good I'll eat an entire 14" pizza by myself in one night. (I know everyone out there is going 'holy SHIT, saurkraut on pizza?!?: how gross!!!' right now...lol).
Jez ~ guys shaving 'there'? Be more specific! Where? Between their eyebrows? Their backs? (feigns ignorance). My belief on body hair is this; Razors, lasers and waxing are proof that mankind has gained technological superiority over the failings of biology. To fail to take advantage of these things is to deny mankind's technological evolution.

first off..... hey dave! saw u on celebrity poker showdown tonight.... n u were great! even though u lost, u did it graciously.
to sandy..... dont worry. i've been there too. just try to have hope that things will get better. and i agree with denise..she's got a lot of good advice.
goodnight all!

On the guys shaving thing, i think that if they expect girls to shaved then they should also shave. because if i'm going to the salon once or sometimestwice every two weeks for a brazilain bikini wax then he should shave, its only fair
Posted by: Sami at November 8, 2004 12:37 AM
Sami....That's right baby, the guy I can't get over aka the reason i am here, didn't ask me to shave until he was shaved himself, like I knew where he was coming from then...besides, shaving is itchy, waxing is painful and it's all weird if you have to pay for it...
ok, on another note, don't take this the wrong way Dave, I'll love you forever, but Steve and Larissa, they have my heart....thank you for saving my life tonight
jezebel(such the drama queen)
ps..Saw CPS...oh my God, stop being so sweet Dave, or I will never get a guy, you set too high a standard...
Posted by: jezebel at November 8, 2004 12:50 AM
You know with all the see through undies you have to shave. Or else it's just looks foul. About guys shaving their you know what's it's just looks nicer and sometimes a tad bit bigger. That's all I gotta say.
"To fail to take advantage of these things is to deny mankind's technological evolution."
Totally agree with that.
Have a goodnight all.

Just watched the clip, nice but too short......
So, i have a more of a fun question for Dave: Out of all the band members you "kissed" in the past - which one was the best?
LOL, just trying to make a bad, boring day a bit funnier...
love,

Hi,
I scan read the posts, I don't think anyone told you how to get DVD stuff into iMovie.
It's obviously not encouraged, so that you can't copy DVD's. You need a program called Mencoder. Its free Open source. You might also need some codec's, I can't remember. Alternatively, If you have FTP space copy the Audio and Video files from inside the DVD(open it with Finder), and send me a link, and I'll do it for you.
Cheers,
N

Just sat here reading Dave's book... and the thought for today is
"Navarro, blessed with the power to seduce anybody through mere conversation....."
how true is THAT!?

HEY DAVE,
Do you ever get that "ive done this before" feeling, and get the urge to just pick up an electric banjo to mix things up a bit?
Posted by: Six7Six7 at November 8, 2004 05:28 AM
My Goodness...and I thought I had a hectic weekend!
Lori, I am so, so sorry about your Grandma...my prayers are certainly with you and your family.
Sandy...I'm glad you're starting to feel better (((hugs)))
Colleen...I missed it...what did you do, come on, spill! ;)
Happy Monday all...welcome home Dave and thanks for the neat pic with Steven...did you have fun in Vegas?

Hey everyone!
I've been away for a few days, so I'm just catching up.
Dave: When the time comes, what's the first song you will play in outerspace, if they let you bring a guitar on board the ship?
Sue: Yes, that's me in the bottom corner of the photo of the CF show on Irving Plaza's website!
Lori: My condolences to you. There's nothing I can really say that will make you feel any better, except that eventually you will get through this. Your grandmother sounds like she lived a long life, so I'm sure you have many great memories of her time with you and your family. Cherish that.
Itanja: I got the photos...damn! Excellent shots. Sorry I haven't e-mailed you back yet, my server's been acting funky the past few days so it's hard logging in and staying in.
Deena: Happy belated birthday!
Sorry this post was a little rushed, I've been really busy lately and trying not to lose my mind. To sum it up: lots of school work, projects, fixing and selling my late father's co-op apartment (taking up way to much of my time), family issues, etc. It seems like everyone's going through a "rough patch" at the moment. As always, I'll get through this, as I'm sure the rest of you will!

Mortisha - thanks so much... yeah, my heart keeps interupting what my head knows would be good for me. How can you not get attached to someone you've lived with for over four years - I wouldn't know but god knows I've tried!! At least I feel better knowing that whatever happens, it'll be for the best! Sorry for the banter to everyone else...

Denise, thanks for the sympathy - we all have ups and down, such is life. The hard part is staying positive during the downs and appreciating the ups.
Dave, how is Carmen?? Have you been on a honeymoon yet? Made any plans for your anniversary yet?
~Melissa~

Dave,
Judging from the picture of you with Steven Tyler, your hair looks hot! Perfect length, please don't cut it again!
What does Carmen think?
lovingly,
Caroline

Cool, thanks Dave!

Question for dave:
I have been listening to strays, on Hypersonic is the drum intro a recorded loop, or did perky play that straight off the bat a la villa strangiato. If he did play that straight off, then you got one hell of a peart/Bonham-esque drum machine on your hands there. Keep up all the good work, and if you can't, then just keep IT up!!!!!

My man's dick is so big he doesn't need a trim or a shave.
Posted by: ylais at November 8, 2004 08:45 AM
Hi Sean,
Glad you got the CF photos. I still have a few more rolls to develop.
I know how 'family issues' go....my mom is getting eye surgery this week and she is pretty depressed about that. I'm trying to be there for her.
She was just diagnosed with 'macular degeneration'. I did my Internet research & it sounds much more serious than the doctor described. I don't dare tell her that, she is pretty freaked out as it is!
On top it off, we have to go all the way to The Bronx for this procedure. The local eye surgeon doesn't have the latest start-of-the-art laser machine he needs to do this operation. Unreal! To say I've been 'stressed', is putting it mildly.
take care,
itanja

Hey 67,
I've posted a few times, but there's so much randomness to comment on that I had to chime in again.
Jez & the rest of the pizza discussion: PAPA JOHN's definitely in the chain arena. The breadsticks and sauces are...hmm, I can't find the right word to describe how good they are, but how bout (Homer's drooling sound) [something like "ARRRAAGHGHGAAA"]. Also, the continuity of the chain is great...you get pretty much the same quality/taste, wherever you get it.
However, my preference for pizza is twofold. Papa John's rules! and it may seem like I'm the Papa John's version of that unoffical Wendy's guy, but what can I say. Anyway, I'm digressing on my pizza dissertation. Ok, so the second part is that small mom&pop places usually rock way harder than chains. However, there is a inner dynamic to them, at least for me. There are shitholes, middle of the road places, and fancy pants pizzerias/restaurants. My favs are the just above the middle of the road joints, but not the fancy places. Quality is usually superb at these places. I'm not gonna go flown blown into specifics, because this post is long enough already, but that's what I think. Lastly, NY pizza is really really really really yummy!
P.S. - Dave and fam, I'm in a band and I'd like to know what you all think/maybe turn some of you on to us. We are Never The Nines. Check out our website http://www.neverthenines.com
Come out to shows if anyone likes what they hear and is in the NYC area. Thanks. Later - Tito

Itanja,
Hope everything goes well with your mom! Everything will be ok! Don't stress...try to relax a bit. I saw your post right after I submitted mine and felt shitty about writing about pizza and music, while you had all that to deal with. Take care - Tito
Posted by: Tito at November 8, 2004 08:55 AM
Oh right,
I know I'm being a comment hog, but I remembered the other random thing I wanted to write about. The crotchless granny panties triggered a thought...In high school, one of my friends, JP, found Fundies in his parent's closet. Now, for those how don't know what Fundies are, they are underwear for two. HA! But the best part is that there was a yellow-ish stain in them HAHAHA! When he told me, we cringed and laughed, just as some of you are doing as you read this. Ah, Fundies...is there anything they can't do. Ok, I think this is really it for me, until the next random chiming in. Later - Tito

Thanks Tito~~!!
Yes, it's been pretty rough these past few days, but we all have to eventually deal with family illnesses & other stressful situations which are just part of life.
take care,

Back at last.
What a bad week. Sandy, you're not the only one who has been depressed lately. I think it's good that you can face the issue in a "healthy" way. I mean, I was just on a bad drinking stretch and I feel even worse now just because of that. That certainly ain't the way to approach or, even less, to solve one's problems.
I'd say Denise's advise is the right kind. I've also found exercise and training the best ways to cheer up. The fact is that when you're physically in good shape, it has a huge positive impact on the mental side as well. Oh yeah, and don't forget to take your vitamins, that helps too.
It's really not that cool to admit that I haven't exactly lived as I preach the last few days but it sure helps to get it off my chest. And putting into words and seeing there on the screen kind of makes it real like saying "yeah, Pekka, you fucked up".
Men shaving and trimming? Hell yes, I don't just support, I recommend!
Nowhere to go but up!
Pekka
