Cori, personally, I like Thanksgiving better, something about Christmas commercialism just serves to make a lot of people think about what they DONT have...the road to hell is paved with unrealized expectations and Santa is just satan with the letters switched around. I mean, I love doing Christmas things with my students, last year we put on a play and dressed them all as angels and shepards, and I love the whole spirit of giving, But it isn't MY birthday, is it?
ok, off the soapbox...That being said, it was great going to New York for Christmas 2 years ago, the display windows on 5th avenue, the carriage ride, the tree at Rockefeller center...I love Christmas lights, the smell of cinnamon, wearing my reindeer antlers, and singing carols...
My perfect Christmas this year would be having my son with me, yep, my son, and my dog,
I would be happy with that for Thanksgiving...

It's not snowing here yet but it's cold enough to freeze the baws off a brass monkey. Anyway been following this site with some interest from the cold depths of Scotland (UK). Unfortunatley it's a bit far to check out yer gigs. Seen Motorhead last month though, Lemmy rocks :-) Looking forward to any future shows you play over here.
Cheers ears

perfect christmas for me is everyone receiving a present of hot chocolate and a cinnamon bun...awesome decorations, snow, food, and family and friends...that's all i need...and those are the reasons i love christmas...the decorations and the sense of joy i get from the season...it upsets me though to see people who've been lost in the commercialism of the holiday so jezzi...i agree with you there sweetie! i'll talk to you guys later...chemistry beckons...i HATE it...i don't even get to light shit on fire :-(
-Love, Emily
Posted by: blondimofo at November 18, 2004 11:29 AM
My two cents worth - Christmas is just a magical time with the lights and decorations. I love to see the little ones so excited. For many years, I put together children's and adult Christmas parties through organizations and work. What is there about children's infectious laughter to bring such joy to the soul?
Don't get me wrong - I have the fight here about too much commercialism - but my decorated house has been featured in a few different TV shows/ads for the season. If you want to seperate the religious from the secular, you can. We do both. When I was younger, I was the leader of a group of students that went on and performed shows at Christmas time. We did a lot of fun things, but we always ended the show the same way - the reading of the Christmas Story - usually followed by either Mary or an Angel singing Oh Holy Night and we were reminded why we have this holiday.
A question for you Dave. What is a regular day?
Always,
me

"Santa is just satan with the letters switched around" Damn Jezzi...I've never noticed that!!! LOL
I'm with Angel....for me, it's all about the magic of the season.
I tend to do more for Charity at this time of year...I love that there are endless get-togethers and people touching base that you don't get to see often enough...I decorate my house, inside and out, until my PG&E meter spins crazily...I send out about 250 Christmas/Holiday Cards...I collect Santas...I watch Christmas movies and listen to my Christmas CDs...I wear Christmas themed clothing almost every day in December...it's just a magical time of year for me.....has always been my favorite time of the year my whole life. I always feel very happy and at peace during the Holiday Season.
My perfect Christmas Day would be gray, dark sky, rainy (only after everyone is safely inside)and a beautiful, fun day spent with my family...eating, playing games and visiting, with a big fire in the fireplace and a few spiked egg nogs...just for added warmth ;) I enjoy giving gifts, ten-fold more than receiving them, and I love to watch the kids open their stuff.
This time of year particularly reminds me to thank God each day for the many blessings he has bestowed upon me...one of which is this place and my wonderful on-line Family.

If we see you wearing $350 Prada sneakers, and carrying a $600 Gucci Bag, we assume you are doing well financially and therefore you do not need a raise. If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better, so that you may buy nicer clothes, and therefore you do not need a raise. CATFIGHT!!!!!!!HISSSS!!!! ROFL.....
See, Cori, if I had been around you more in the days of my non-jaded youth....I believed in Santa when I was 8, I wrote a letter asking for a tape recorder, one day, I was in my mom's closet getting the vaccuum cleaner out, and tipped over a bag and saw one. I couldn't keep info to myself (big surprise) and told my sis that Santa had my present in Mom's closet...she ran crying to my mom, saying "Linda says you are Santa" (see how rumors get started)
That Christmas morning, I raced into the living room to see my brother opening up....a tape recorder...
Anyway....that's what I meant about road to hell, and unrealized expectations, it shouldn't be about what I want, but I am going to come and spend Christmas with you someday, sweet Cori

I just checked out two new shows...Totally Obsessed where someone is followed around and shows how much they adore an actor, musician, etc...
And after hanging around this site (thanks to you's for welcoming me)it hit me.
So, who here is worthy to subject themselves to the public in the name of ...(drum roll, please)...Dave Navarro!
There's some creative juices flowing around here with the Shirt, pics of going to bed after the show, photo-sites, the bonding at shows, this web site,
So who is "Totally Obsessed"?
The other show was "40 UNheavy metal moments" and Dave made it! Hell, I wouldn't have turned down that gig! But it still pretty funny!
It didn't hit me that your CE was for your vieja! I thought you were into Kabbalah. Oh baby I like it raw, oh baby I like it RAAAWW!

Eric, have you ever seen that Seinfeld episode? "There was no PICK!!" It was great meeting you too, we need to do that stunt again, it was kinda like a David Letterman routine, let's send Biff out to Times Square, have him look for something on the ground, and see if anyone stops to look with him. I am telling you, my friend, someone had it on the bottom of their shoe the next day..

I have a hit/visitor tracker on my site (sirshannon.com) that only shows the last 100 visitors (it's free, and great, besides that limitation. statcounter.com, if anyone is looking for something like that), but ever since I posted a link to the new Panic Channel site, I have been getting a steady stream of users from google, yahoo, etc, looking for info about The Panic Channel.
As of right now, 60 of the last 100 hits on my site came from search engines. Of those 60 search engine hits, 20 were searching for info on The Panic Channel.
That is 1/3 of my search engine traffic. One Third of the search engine traffic on my site is looking for The Panic Channel. At first I thought that it was members of the band looking themselves up but that isn't the case. The hits are coming from all different search engines, different ISPs, different states, different countries.
From my anecdotal info supplied by my hit tracker, I have to think that there are a LOT of people looking for info on TPC. This is the first time I've ever thought "the Buzz on this band is crazy".

Dude!
I just saw the download of Dazed... The hair on the back of my neck and arms just stood on end! Monster guitar work! I felt like when I was ten years old and rocking out with my tennis racket to the thirty minute Dazed version on The Song Remains the Same. Remember that? One whole side of the album...Dazed and Confused. 28 minutes, plus. That was great!

Hi Jeff,
Dave did an interview with Men's Health (I think that was the magazine, it was a health oriented magazine) about a year ago.
Perhaps you can track down a transcript & find out about his workout methods.
I remember there was an interview & photos of him working out.
Good Luck!
