Out Till Sunday

DavedeepeejpgI'm taking a couple days off to go visit with my family. I'll try to check in from there, but I don't know how well that is going to go. Dial-up, you see. Also, tomorrow's CRF is on. Billy, Donovan and Matt will be holding down the fort for the most part, but I am going to try to stop by for a half hour if possible. Check the "shows" section at www.thepanicchannel.com in a day or so for information about the November 16th Dragonfly engagement. Have a great weekend.

You know, I posted a question for Dave yesterday, asking what was one thing he was thankful for this Holiday Season.

I must join in saying "Thank you Dave" for creating this wonderful community for us. I too have really appreciated, beyond words, the love and support of all of the awesome "Family" members I've come to know over these past months.

You make me laugh, cry, appreciate new perspectives and provide a warm, safe "port in the storm" when I'm having a crappy day. Many of you undertand things about me and show compassion when those closest to me and unwilling and/or unable to.

So, as we head into the Holidays, I want to thank Dave and thank all of you. I'm wishing you all a joyous and peaceful Holiday Season filled with warmth and love.

Hey everyone!!
This is like the thrid time I'm posting or something, and from the third country of residence! I'm originally Swedish, I posted when working this summer in Greece and now I study in London, UK so I live here at the moment... Anyway one thing BUGS me! I read at the UK HMV website that they would stock DTTAH on Nov 1st. I went there and it hadn't arrived, so they ordered it for me and told me to expect it within a week. Well, almost 2 weeks have passed and they still haven't recieved it! This sucks! I want the book NOOOOW!!!

Anyway I also wanted to let Dave know that to this day, every time I hear the extended version of 'Everything' from the Spread record, it blows my mind away. It's genius! OF course I also love Three days and many other songs with spectacular solos, but 'Everything' blows me away!!

I wanted to ask you, Dave, how you plan on celebrating new years eve this year? You wouldn't by any chance be planning on coming to London, would ya'? Hehee just kidding.. Take care everyone!

Dave-have a great weekend. Enjoy time with the family, it's one of my favorite things to do. Hope everybody enjoys their friday and am getting excited about Tuesday. I finally caught Dave on the new Celebrity Poker Showdown. I was disapointed to see him go down first but that's how it is sometimes.

Cori... BIG BEAR HUG!!

Jez... how's things?

Dana... Glad to see you aren't shy. I commend you on not being afraid to voice your ideas. And I appreciate your grey area views. Thanks for reminding me that not everything is so black and white. I'm an extremist... so grey gets forgotten sometimes.

Melissa... you rock, chica!

Wendy... Just checking in with my fellow bird.

Dave, have a great weekend with the family.

Adina/Nightbird and Wendybird... I apologize for getting you two confused. One of these days I'll remember who everyone is!

Some good news if anyone cares: I got my first official freelance writing assignment today. Yay. Work and money... always good things in the right doses. Now I just have to deliver the goods. (Gasp...pressure!) Wish me luck!

Posted by: Denise at November 12, 2004 10:40 AM

Jezzi, Sarah, Abby, Misty and the rest of the Panic Channel Party Player's I hope everybody is doing well. TGIF! So...Tuesday is drawing close and well I am just as amped as I was before the last show. Some people have asked about the pre-TPC Show gathering of the masses. I know there is a coffee show across the street from the Dragonfly where I downed a cup of coffee when I got there before. I wish there were other places around, but then again I would probably get lost and maybe other's as well. So I am down for anything (Open suggestions). If coffee is cool, right on, if some else has a suggestion I'm all for it as well. I'm just excited to catch up with all you. Jezzi- as per our last telephone conversation I decided not to "do what I was thinking about doing." I will exlain later. I will be bringing a camera, not sure if I will be able to get it in (no word on that yet from TPC camp). Anyway, as always be safe and be well beautiful people.

Brett

Dave- "Smoking in the Bathroom" huh? I guess somethings never change....... I'm reminded of that Motley Crue song LOl!

Hi everyone!

How are you all doing?

I haven't checked in the past couple of days, been trying to stay away from the computer because of some guy (I was afraid to see if he'd gotten in touch or not after a pretty awkward episode the other day. I just found out he hadn't so now I've officially given up on him) So if any of you have any great-looking friends who are really laid-back and in their 20's, send em my way, okay? ;)

Ah well... *sigh*

Hope yer all well.

Heredity

I am the family face;
Flesh perishes, I live on,
Projecting trait and trace
Through time to times anon,
And leaping from place to place
Over oblivion.

The years-heired feature that can
In curve and voice and eye
Despise the human span
Of durance -- that is I;
The eternal thing in man,
That heeds no call to die

Loving the book, man. Just taking my time in the sun...beautiful day!

Happy b-day Maria!

Melis, Mike, Angel, etc. Thanks for the kind words and well wishes. I'll be doing contract work for a small local company. Marketing stuff such as brochures, etc.

So it's not like I'll actually be "published" anywhere. Yet. But it could happen eventually. It's certainly part of the plan. :)

Posted by: Denise at November 12, 2004 01:12 PM

As far as due dates, we're still working that out.

Angel, I know how exciting it is to see your name in print. For the past few years I've been more of a "ghost-writer" for my old company, which is OK in its own right, though much less glorious.

I simply love to write and for now, want to continue to make a living by doing so. But the truth is, I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. ;)

Don't clink your champagne glasses yet, they have enough drama created for appeal, it doesn't matter about what happens to him in this life anyway, he is facing an ETERNITY of pain....

Blanca--my eyes hurt, everytime I think about what happened last night, I start crying, I was SO happy when he came over on my birthday, I KNEW I was dreaming, It hurts...stupidstupidstupidstupid And the funny thing, is, deep in my heart, I still love them both...but if I let either of them back in my life, I deserve whatever pain I receive from them, and my focus right now is 1) Finishing paper revision, 2)Getting myself and my boy some help, 3) Keeping in touch with this wonderful "family" God has brought me to, (HI LYN!!!)

Happy birthday Maria!

Damn, there sure are a hell of a lot of fellow Scorpios here, eh? Well, that explains a lot! heehee ;)

I just thought of something really trivial. You know that old saying, "That and a quarter will get you a cup of coffee"? Well, that saying must be pretty freakin' old because if we walked into any Starbucks right now, how much is a grande latte going for these days, like 3 bucks?

So on that note, that thought and a Lincoln will get ya a grande latte and a cookie on a good day...

...but it's not a good day because Jezebel had a bad night and is sad. (Hang in there girl! I'm here for ya!)

Spreading some coffee,
and babbling as though I drank a lot of it,

Jez- what happened last night??

I didn't get the Friday after Thanksgiving off so I'm thinking about taking a half day off tuesday... or maybe wednesday morning would be better to take off so I can hang out late after the show and don't have to worry about waking up early.

I hope you all have a great weekend! Going to get a dresser for my bedroom tomorrow, finally... I only moved in what, 6 months ago?

Have a good time D-dogg!

What did you think of the "alternative" music scene of the 90's that followed Jane's lead? Were you impressed with the music that came from bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden?

I’m sure that there are great moments that lay a head of you that will make you forget what you are so sad about now. I have a feeling that the future will bring you many blessings. "Soph... that is adorable. I love it! You and Rantz should get together and work on an anime short featuring our Panic Channel boys."

THE PANIC CHANNEL ROBO GO!
Draft - Working Script

INT - DRAGONFLY CLUB - NIGHT
A Crowd gathers in front of a small stage, the tops of their heads and the low ceiling drawing our attention to the dimly lit stage where musical equipment glints in the dim light.

CUT TO:

INT - DRAGONFLY CLUB - C/U ON SIDE OF STAGE
SLOW TRUCK IN As a door opens, we see four silhouettes against the sodium glare of the street light outside, they move towards the camera, obscuring the doorway, making the frame black.

CUT TO:

INT - DRAGONFLY CLUB - MID SHOT FROM CROWD TOWARDS STAGE
SLOW TRUCK IN as the four figures take there places on the stage, barely discernable in the darkness. A sole spotlight flares on cutting a burning swath through the darkness, illuminating the figure in the center.

CAMERA VARIABLE SPEED CUT (ala DAVID FINCHER)TO:

INT - DRAGONFLY CLUB - C/U ON MALE FIGURE IN CENTER STAGE
The Male figure in C/U slowly lifts his head, revealing that it is STEVE ISAACS, singer of the band THE PANIC CHANNEL. Looking out into the audience, he speaks

STEVE: (LOUDLY) Now we will be giving to you all the rock that will be coming from our speakers because we will be the ones playing it!

INT - DRAGONFLY CLUB - MID SHOT FROM CROWD TOWARDS CENTER STAGE
SPEED LINES FLY UPWARDS behind the member of the band as they fly up in the air and remain suspendeded while the camera does a FAST ARC PAN around the until it is just over drummer STEPHEN PERKINS shoulder. As camera hits it's mark, band members descend fast to the stage floor, hitting the first thundering note. Blue bolts of electricity arcing out of the amps and striking the audience

AUDIENCE: (Shrieking with joy) The Panic Channel! Now are they rocking us with the rock that is theirs!

... not to be continued...

Hey Dave-

Hope you read this...I met you at the taping of Daily Download on FUSE. I was the girl with the EXTREMELY bright red hair...yes, the one you said you would go out with if you weren't married, I'm sure you say that to all the ladies...but that's Okay, it made my day anyway.

I went and got your book and was very moved by it, I remember you were saying that the money was going to an organization that assists musicians in getting sober. I wanted to find out if there was anyway to do some volunteer work with this organization in the future and how I would go about it. Thanks and enjoy your time with the family!

Joke of the week for me is:

A bus load of nuns die in a crash,
They que up outside the gates of heaven and St,Peter greets them.
He asks the 1st nun "have you ever touched a penis?"
She replies "yes St Peter, once with the tip of my finger"
St.Peter say's"Ok Sister, dip it in that holy water and you may enter"
He then asks the 2nd nun the same question to which the nun replies "Yes St Peter,i fondled one once"
At this point there is a commotion in the que and a nun srints towards St.Peter from the back of the que.
St. Peter asks"Sister,Whats the hurry?"
She replies"St Peter,If i have to gargle that holy water i want to do it before Sister Cathy washes her ass with it"

hey Dave, i was sitting behind my computer this morning and TNO was in my player. from the first notes, to the last notes of slow motion sickness, i kept writing and writing. i'm working on a story at the moment, and suddenly i had all this inspiration. dave, your album is absolutly great. the record played and in my mind the music and your voice combined/clicked with where i was at that moment in my story. my fingers typed a lot of pages.
i haven't re-read the pages yet, but they're dark and i hope they express the feelings of my maincharacter.
have you ever had an experience like this? that your hands write of type something, and the words just keep coming and coming and you don't know what you type but you know it's right?
btw, how were your days off?

Posted by: Emma at November 13, 2004 07:34 AM

Rantz.... you crack me up. Thank you so much... :-)

Collette.... DAMN! I'd date you, too, but I don't generally swing that way. Seriously, I'll be keeping an eye on you and your band. I loved what I heard (and saw), and I totally want to come to a show.... so let me know when you guys'll be playing the NYC area again.

Posted by: NightBird at November 13, 2004 08:48 AM

Evenin'all, its been a while. I've gotten some distance, made peace with some deamons and got over all of the anger which I have that makes you losers go on about pity and feeling sorry for me and all the lameass shit you write that makes you feel superior and lets you ignore any opinions that are different to your own.But like I said,I'm past all that,I'm one of those perfect happy people like the rest of you.
However, inspite my new status as a happy moron it gives me no pleasure inform you that the panic channal still suck.musically and lyrically, infact I think that the lyrics of what I have heard have gotten worse.Poor steve sky mac cycle, he so badly wants to be Chris Cornell because melancholy and introspection are just so damn cool, but if the miserable thing doesnt always work for Cornell its hardly gonna work for an ugly loser with a generic voice who writes obvious and uninspired lyrics in which all you can hear his annoying desperation to be a rockstar. But wait, that doesnt matter does it?Because its not about the music its about the product, the units, the hype. And the face of the product,an over groomed shirtless session guitarist? If you stick a hat on him and he'll be perfect in appealing to the target audience of 13-16 year old girls and celbrity worshipping ass kissers.
I just wanted to tell you that.

How can you be so sure of yourself Molly?
Why do you have a problem with positivity?
I'm simply asking these questions out of curiosity without any hostility directed towards you at all. It's always great to read a different view, but come on...

Did it ever occur to you that they could be making music simply because they love to make music and use their creativity? Otherwise their shows so far would not be FREE. And maybe if you did a little research you'd find that the people that visit this blog are all over 16.

well, let's see.. is ANYONE on here 16 or younger?? show yourselves and say hello. Even if there were primarily teenies on here, so what? And you know it's not going to be like that since music transcends gender and age and race and all that sets us apart from each other. They have fans of all ages and backgrounds. I don't see what's wrong with supporting something you believe in.

All that cynism and hateful attitude will destroy you. Try opening your heart and mind, it'll help you heal.
That's my advice for the day that nobody asked for.

hope you have a good day!

Molly, no matter how much you try to come off sounding superior, your posts still reek of a sorry ass loser who has no life. Again, get some dick.

Love Always,
Dana

Ok, I've been accused of being intollerant so here it goes...

Molly, welcome back again!!! So glad you have an opinion, it's what seperates us from eachother. There probably are a lot of teeny boppers here but let me assure you, I'm a 27 year old who apparently has no taste in music. I thank you for pointing out my poor taste but if it's ok, I'm still going to listen and be a fan of the band anyway. Seriously, thanks for coming and letting me know I'm a loser or that we are all losers here. We are happy regardless!!

Come by again sometime and share with us what YOU think is good music - we enjoy being enlightened!!

Couple of quick questions..What are "deamons"? Anyone? :P lmao. TFF (too fucking funny.. made that one up all by myself a while ago.)
I suspect "molly" is a boy. Anyone else? Opinions. Boy or girl? Vote here.

This Just In=====Molly found to be employee of the guy on BANDS REUNITED!!!! Hugs to Molly....Do not compare yourselves to others, lest you become vain and bitter, for always there will be persons greater and lesser than yourself

Good Morning, I cried yesterday, I am not going to cry anymore. Blizard is my own guardian angel, Lyn is my new dear friend, I am officially not a doorstop, or a game to be played between the two Dave's better fan boys that have been toying with my affection for the last 3 years....It hurts, still, but I have other things to worry about headlines in today's paper reveal that millions have been absconded from my teacher's retirement fund, and the city of my birth is financially insolvent

But....Jezzi's question of the day for all of my beautiful family....
If you could only bring 3 people to your Thanksgiving feast, who would they be(Question ripped off from food network hottie Tyler Florence)

love to Nightbird, Wendybird, Mortisha,Blizard, Lyn, Denise(woo-hoo, a new job!), Cori, Deena, anyone I've missed,

Does anyone here actually know "molly"? Just curious.

Posted by: ylais at November 13, 2004 10:23 AM

hehee

I know i may be alone with this opinion but i actually missed Molly's posts. We all come here because we are fans of music and in particular Dave's music and that he personally answers our questions and keeps us updated on whats going on in his life musically and otherwise,so we all share a common ground, our posts are fairly similar in that respect.

So Molly's posts are different and sometimes that is refreshing in an amusing way,Hmmm i hope that this doesn't read as if i find all the posts boring, this is so not the case.

What makes me laugh about Molly is that she keeps writing with such venom towards Dave and us and she gets it back ten fold, she'll never learn and she won't make any friends here,so Molly, which of us are the morons and which of us is pathetic?

You are persistant though,we all have the freedom to express our opinions, that is what is great. It can't always be positive can it,there would be no balance.

You can hit us Molly, but we won't go down(don't read that in a dirty way,i know some of you did, lol)

Haha... Melissa, I love you. That was a perfect attempt at sounding tolerant, but an unneeded one. Molly is totally in the wrong place for that kind of negativity. And it truly is negativity, not a political or religious opinion. As mentioned in my earlier posts about tolerance, this is Dave Navarro's board, and it is truly disrespectful for Molly to express such venomous feelings toward his new endeavor on here. If she wishes, there is Xiola.org for her to vent her anti-Steve/Anti-Dave thoughts. Also, if she intended to put us down by inferring that we are just ignorant teeny-boppers, I have these facts to point out: our ages range from 16-60, with the majority of us falling into the 30s range. There are an equal amount of males and females who post here, and from what I have read in their posts, most have an extensive love and appreciation for all sorts of good music, as well as a grasp on the English language and punctuation, which to me, heightens their credibility in judging whether The Panic Channel has potential or not.

Molly, I do feel sorry for you that you are so angry about The Panic Channel that you need to express it here, and speckle your hatred for the band with insults toward the people who post here. Most of us would agree that there is a supportive and positive vibe here... something that most would truly appreciate. I hope you can find a community that makes you happy. But if this one ain't it, don't come back.

Posted by: NightBird at November 13, 2004 10:27 AM

Posted by: NightBird at November 13, 2004 10:28 AM

I disagree with you, Steve, about Molly... there's a place for tolerance, but there's also something to be said for manners.

Did you disagree with my whole post or just some of it?

My tone was basically this,if Molly wants to be a fly in our ointment, then let her,she isn't going to change anyone's opinion of Dave or the 6767nr's by posting here is she.

Steve L

Posted by: MOOYYAA at November 13, 2004 10:37 AM

I agree about balance. I agree about expressing opinions. But I do feel that this is the wrong forum for her to be so nasty. An opinion doesn't have to be so nasty.

But you're right, she can't make us wilt or waiver. Probably the best thing to do would be to ignore her. Who was this... Molly? Never heard of her, or anything she said. :-)

I think Molly is really Simon Cowell.

Steve, that was perfect! Molly will from now on be known as Cowell.

Whatcha serving, Jez? And um, the first thing that popped into my head was that silly duet between Cher and Peter Cetera, but you said a Chicago song, so I'm gonna guess... and I'm apparently going senile at 30 because I can't even think of the title of the song From Karate Kid. Jeez....

Hi everyone!

How are you all doing? I'd read up on everyone's posts, but quite frankly I'm pissed off to right now! See, I'm a vegitarian and I haven't eaten meat in years (I cannot stand the taste of meat, it disgusts me. I'll cook with meat for other people, though) So anyway, I was at this huge grocery store today, and for the first time I saw them having fresh baked veggie calzones (the selection of veggie meals is pitiful around here, there's like ONE frozen pizza you can buy that doesn't suck and that's about it. Everything else I have to fix myself) so I buy one and after I've had a bite, what do I discover? It had SALAMI in it!! So basically I've spent the past half an hour figuring out how to make myself throw up (yes, THAT'S how disgusting it was!) My throath hurts. Veggie calzone my ass!

GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

So anyway, hope yer all well.

6. In the past 3 months, what one thing (event, action, etc.) about yourself has disappointed you the most? The Election

1. French Press, Espresso, Latte, Cappucino, Mocha, or Mr. Coffee?
Tea all the way, baby! (But if forced, I would drink cappuccino.)
2. Gray hair - dye it or leave it?
I don't think I'll know when my hair starts to turn grey, because I dye it so often anyway.
3. Undereye wrinkles - botox, restylane, or au natural?
I want to say au naturale, but lately, I've found myself considering lipo and getting talked into expensive tooth whitening by my dentist (even though, it turns out, I am one shade darker than the whitest... huh?)
4. If your house was burning, and you could save one material posession (people and animals not included) what would it be, and why?
Can I say photo albums, plural, as one possession?
5. In the past 3 months, what one thing (accomplishment, event, action, etc.) about yourself are you most proud of, or have enjoyed the most?
I am so ridiculously humble, that I have been proud about nothing. (To be honest, I just don't want to share publicly my proud moment.)
6. In the past 3 months, what one thing (event, action, etc.) about yourself has disappointed you the most?
Losing what could have been the love of my life because I raced into things.
7. Favorite brand and color of nail polish?
I stopped wearing nail polish, but back when I wore it, it was Urban Decay's Pigeon
8. Journaling via computer or with pen and ink?
I can't seem to get myself to sit down and do it, but I am partial to pen and ink. Call me old-fashioned...
9. What book are you currently reading?
Fearless Girls, Wise Women & Beloved Sisters (a collection of stories about women who save the day)
10. Sexy pic of Johnny Depp blogging on this blog ;-) (sorry, I just felt we needed some variety on this "question")

That posting didn't bother me one bit. Maybe they long for the days of old...dreds and Sanatria...concerts in Mexico...and who can forget Jubilee in Indio? Maybe they didn't like the "grunge" era and have already worn out Hypersonic...and after reading Dave's novel...even made me think back to running around Hollywood in '89! Is Raji's still there?

As for Thanksgiving...I don't celebrate a holiday that glorifies the genocide of a nation.

But, if I was having a feast of friends, as Jim Morrison would say....

Alive
1. Aisha Tyler. She's a black Agelia Jolie. HOTTIE!
2. Axl Rose. I remember hanging out at Denny's back in the day and there was this group of rowdys and the waitress tells us no to mess with those guys, they're "some Guns and Roses band". This was before Appetite came out.
3. Anne Rice. We need a good story teller.

Dead

1. Brad from Sublime...I used to invite local guitarists over for a burger and then I'd try to cop some guitar licks.
2. Selena...what beauty!
3. a toss up between Ayliah and Bruce Lee. Don't want too many guys and not enough chicks.

So quit yer bitchin'

EVERYONE PLEASE READ,

NEWS FLASH: ODB DEAD

Rapper O.D.B. dies at recording studio
Saturday, November 13, 2004 Posted: 9:43 PM EST (0243 GMT)

NEW YORK (AP) -- The rap artist O.D.B., who lived a life as wild as his lyrics, collapsed and died inside a recording studio Saturday, his record label said. He was 35.

O.D.B. had complained of chest pains before collapsing at the Manhattan studio, according to a statement from Roc-a-Fella records.

O.D.B., also known as Ol' Dirty Bastard, Dirt McGirt or his legal name of Russell Jones, was a founding member of the hit rap group the Wu-Tang Clan in the early 1990s. With his offbeat, unorthodox delivery, he segued into a successful solo career and released several hit singles.

But he was frequently in trouble with the law, mostly for drug possession.

In February 1998, he crashed the stage at the Grammy Awards and hijacked a microphone from singer Shawn Colvin as she accepted an award, apparently upset over losing the best rap album Grammy to Puff Daddy.

He complained that he spent a lot of money for new clothes because he thought he was going to win. The rapper later apologized. Later in 1998, he was wounded in a shooting during a robbery in his apartment.

In 2001 he was sentenced to two to four years in prison for drug possession; plus two concurrent years for escaping from a rehab clinic. He was released in 2003 and immediately signed with Roc-a-Fella.

O.D.B. would have turned 36 on Monday

That's sad Mike. I actually grew up with Wu Tang. My brother loved them and would play them over and over and over. 36 is too young to die. When I went to see WTC he was still in jail.

Dave, it looks like your unicorn made its way into the pic... is that what I think I see?!

Posted by: paperdove at November 13, 2004 10:00 PM

1. French Press, Espresso, Latte, Cappucino, Mocha, or Mr. Coffee?

Espresso - triple, with a lot of sugar. Emergency use only.

2. Gray hair - dye it or leave it?

If I have enough hair left by the time it goes gray, shit... I'll just be happy I have hair!

3. Undereye wrinkles - botox, restylane, or au natural?

Botox and Restylane make you look like a mutant. See Tim Allen in Christmas with the Kranks. Or Axl Rose in recent photos. I'll go with the bags, dark circles and forehead lines for 200 Johnny.

4. If your house was burning, and you could save one material posession (people and animals not included) what would it be, and why?

Now, I know the answer I should give is something along the line of my kids baby books, photos, or something like that but in all honesty, I'd likely grab my Thom Ang painting; The Earlynmeyer Flask (Painted for the VHS X-Files boxed sets), which he gave to me and the wife as a wedding present. By far one of my fave material possessions which gives me daily inspiration. Other than that, my comp most likely.

5. In the past 3 months, what one thing (accomplishment, event, action, etc.) about yourself are you most proud of, or have enjoyed the most?

Completed 9 months of 12-14 hour days, 6-7 days a week working on a game demo to pitch to publishers. Finished it in Sept. and publisher reaction has been good. I did all the writing and camera work for it, as well as the character models and environments so seeing it all come together finally is a big relief.

6. In the past 3 months, what one thing (event, action, etc.) about yourself has disappointed you the most?

The frequency with which I've lost my temper under moments of high stress.

7. Favorite brand and color of nail polish?

I don't wear it, but I like this pearl-saphire blue stuff my wife has.

8. Journaling via computer or with pen and ink?

I'm on the comp all the time, and I'm more likely to write while on there, so journals will actually get written there. only advantage of paper journals is you can draw alongside the words, but i will literally go for years without writing in one, so computer, for sure.

9. What book are you currently reading?

Just finished Vol 2 of the Complete Peanuts, Re-reading Be Cool by Elmore Leonard, and am starting Undaunted Courage by Stephen Ambrose on the Lewis Clark Expedition for research.

10. Sexy pic of Dave blogging on this blog ;-)

Call me dense, or just painfully hetro, but I just don't understand this one. (Insert proper baffled expression here) Was this aquestion for Dave? was it which pic of Dave on the blog do we think is the most sexy?

Just bought and watched the Jane's Addiction movie 3 Days - Loved it!!! Dave, after reading your book, I felt like I had just come off a rollercoaster and I had the same feeling after watching this film - a great experience but wow, what a ride!

I highly recommend this film to everyone. It's like watching the prelude to DTTAH. The film has a very raw artistic quality to it that makes it stand out from all the other films done on similiar content. I guess you'd expect that when Dave is a producer and a creative producer of the film. I watched it twice, with and without the commentary -

Anyway, loved it!!!

1. French Press, Espresso, Latte, Cappucino, Mocha, or Mr. Coffee?

Mocha or Latte

2. Gray hair - dye it or leave it?

depends on how much gray you have... if it's a lot then leave it, it's just a small patch, dye it.

3. Undereye wrinkles - botox, restylane, or au natural?

Au natural baby!! There's a special kind of beauty in the aging process.

4. If your house was burning, and you could save one material posession (people and animals not included) what would it be, and why?

that's a tough question... there's so much I'd want to save. But I probably wouldn't save anything because I'd figure as long as I get my butt out of there I'll be fine.

5. In the past 3 months, what one thing (accomplishment, event, action, etc.) about yourself are you most proud of, or have enjoyed the most?

I wouldn't say I'm really proud of anything... but I really enjoyed the Bridge School Benefit!

6. In the past 3 months, what one thing (event, action, etc.) about yourself has disappointed you the most?

I really can't think of anything... It's hard for me to get disappointed. I see the positive aspects of everything. However, I do have regrets about certain things I didn't do that I should have.

7. Favorite brand and color of nail polish?

Brucci is alright.. or Jane. Sally Henson clear strengthening. Color would probably have to be blackberry or cold as ice.

8. Journaling via computer or with pen and ink?

computer, i can type a lot faster than I write.

9. What book are you currently reading?

Tarot Tells the Tale by James Ricklef.. next up I think might be The Re-Enchantment of Everyday Life by Thomas Moore.

Dave, question...

what current performing artist/band/group would you love to go watch perform, cause for some reason you just havent been able to watch them yet?

"......Colin Farrell,no, that boy needs to spend some time with his child....umm....ok, straight from Atlanta, the fabulous Lyn...you are still single, right Lyn?"
Umm, Colin Farrell is a putz. Anyone that turns down the role of James Bond because he feels that his audience has identified with him too much????? is a complete and total idiot. What audience? I can assure you this much, Sweet Jezebel, that if offered the role, I would run, not walk, to my agent's office. And yes, I'm still single. I'm saving myself for ya!

Who should be the next James Bond?

Pierce Brosnon annoyed me a bit but he was perfect for 007,who's gonna be good enough to replace him?

And just to tie this in to 6767,TPC should do the song for the next Bond film.

P.S Carmen would make a great Bond girl.

It was merely a wistful suggestion ;-)

Dave, good morning, it was great listening to your little brothers last night!

Elise, see, my coffee table mission totally blinded me to the fact there wasn't a question mark at the end of 10, I thought you were talking about images he had posted....

Lyn, thanks, me too you!!

so, last night, I subjected myself to Seinfeld like breakup scene, (it's not you, it's me), just to get Dave's book out of the clutches of jealous man, who does NOT have autographed copy of his own..., at the end of it, my dog was crying, and I was saying "Did I even have to be here for this?" Ok, so Blanca, it's done, it's just that I HATE not having the last word....grrr, not that he would care...

I love you, Dave, for creating this site, this place where people care for and respect each other...Thanks again...Have a wonderful day,

jezebel(come to think of it, I don't have autographed copy of my own, either...byegones....this is better)

Good Sunday Morning Dave and Family...welcome home Dave!

Dave, if you could orchestrate your perfect Christmas Day, what would that day be like for you?

Jezzi...I sure I'm missing many details and I'm fuzzy on the rest but, I'm sending you a (((hug)))....for lack of being able to articulate a more appropriate response! ;)

Have a peaceful Sunday, Family.

Posted by: Cori at November 14, 2004 06:45 AM

A Sunday Dave Question:

Dave, do you and Carmen usually cook/prepare dinner or do take out/order in during the week? What's a typical meal?

Just asking because because I know with my never home schedule it's easier to just pick something up or thow together a salad during the week. The two of you seem just as busy if not more so...

Question 2:

What was the highlight of your family weekend?

I second Ewan MacGregor as James Bond... but I'd second Ewan MacGregor as anything.

Posted by: NightBird at November 14, 2004 09:57 AM

Me too!! My favorite movie with him is Velvet Goldmine - that man can act and is sexy as hell -

~Melissa~

Posted by: Melissa at November 14, 2004 10:03 AM

there is something about Ewan...he's not pretty or extremely handsom, but he's very sexy. maybe it's the way he moves? even with a beard he's sexy!
if we could choose our next Bond, i'd choose Ewan!

Posted by: Cori at November 14, 2004 11:05 AM

Did anyone check the TPC website???

Posted by: wendybird at November 14, 2004 12:19 PM

(surfing over there right now...)

Posted by: Denise at November 14, 2004 12:42 PM

Sorry, Wendybird... I thought you were going to say that there is something shocking or new up on the TPC site. Then I realized that you were referring to recaps of shows.

Anyhoo, not to be anal or anything, but there IS one typo on the TPC site. "Business" is spelled incorrectly. (I can't help it. Once a proofreader, always a proofreader! LOL)

Seriously, though, I hope this weekend's CF show went well; I'm sure it did. I hope the 6767-ers all had a great time together.

Cheers,
-Denise

Posted by: Denise at November 14, 2004 12:48 PM

Hrmm, well since Denise already pointed out a typo on TPC site, it would be remiss not to point out that the Music page has a grammatical error.

The Panic Channel is recording it's first CD.

should be

The Panic Channel is recording its first CD.

Subtle distinction, yes - nit picky, probably.

Hello!

Has anyone got the old Rexall video with Dave Navarro?
The one that looks like a homevideo, where you can for example see Daves ex make that scar on Daves chest?

I'd love to have that video again, I had in on my other computer, and I've searched after it with no success...

So, feel free to take contact with me by sending an email or talk to me on msn.

Or Dave, if you could put that video in the Download section, that woud be very kind!

Take Care everyone, and I hope that Panic Channel will come to Sweden soon. :)

Love

Hey All,

Anyone catch Dave's return appearance on Celebrity Poker Showdown? It was on today, and I assume it will be on again. Dave was among the first few players eliminated, but was as charming, entertaining, and handsome as ever.

Pardon the groan-inducing corniness, but you'll always be a winner in our book!

Question for Dave (actually everyone else too with a music background, meaning you know how to dissect a song): do you think you “hear music differently than those of us without that knowledge? Do you start picking apart songs when you hear them, thinking, “oh, if you rearrange _____, it would be so much better? Or do you just enjoy the music?
