That is all the magic of Perk.

Nothing like leaving the cell phones at home and just enjoying each other's company. Can't wait till tuesday and I look forward to meeting some of you at the show.

L.A was the place I had in mind to go if I was going to go to Cali. Either there or Hollywood. I was thinking January at the earliest but we should keep in touch and hook up if I do.

Kind of side-related to the suppliments thing. Someone (forgive me for not scrolling through all the posts to find out who) mentioned that they saw Red Bulls being loaded for you guys during a show.
So, for dave AND the 6767 crew...
What's your fave energy drink?
I've tried pretty much every one of them (plan on doing an 'energy drink ratings round up' sometime on my site) and my top 3 are...
3.) Pirahna - Watermenlon Kiwi - Nice flavor, double-size can
2.) Venom - Made by the Sanpple folks, it is now hard as HELL to find, but it's a trip to drink. It has Yerba Mate' in it which mean it leaves a menthol like fire down your throat as you drink it.
1.) Rockstar Energy Cola - Regular Rockstar's were my go-to energy drink, until they came out with the cola a few weeks back. I had cut caffeine back a bit, but thanks to this, my energy drink consumption is now back up.
So, what about you folks?
Posted by: Rantz at November 10, 2004 09:42 AM
Blanca!!! LOL!!! I like to be 67th! Good morning, I am actually making headway on paper, is it 5 yet? I woke up a few hours ago in a puddle of drool at my desk, and I wasn't looking at the toecurling!!
DAVE!! What about Coffee Table book of some of the images you have used her, or maybe at the show you are planning for DTTAH, you could include a few of them? I especially love the pics of you and Carmen from HOBO.
and a question from Agent Impatient, if we are on Panic Channel mailing list, can we get on a list to make sure we get in?
love,
jezebel(I hate deadlines!!)

Not so many posts today... Dunno if it´s good or bad... Thank you jezzie for greetings and other that are Ãn this site... Jezzie... um. There is actually a line "Don't you ever try this at home", but the songs are made almost five years ago, so I didn't know nothing about Dave´s book... The singer was really not in the top of his voice when we got the studio time, because of the flu, but we got some gigs and we are a band that likes more to play live. The new songs ain´t so progressive so I think in the future it´s basically more straight forward rock... Anyone of you...? Christmas is coming ... Gift ideas? any? You can tell me what do you want, ´cause Santa lives 400 km east of where I am now. It´s a place called "korvatunturi" in a northern part of Finland.
I was there last winter... drinking russian vodka with Santa. I you don´t believe. I got pics...
Dave! How about performing in the costume of Santa... That would look funny... You even got a beard... even though Billy Gibbons would be better... His beard is awesome!!!
and Dave!
Have you or have you had any Hedrix´s guitars?
Wonderful continue of evening to ereryone... In here snows and there is only 7 hours daylight every day. After a month it´s only 3-4 hours... Evil things are creeping from the dark this time of year...but gotta keep going with smile on the face...
Bye!
Posted by: Timothy at November 10, 2004 09:53 AM
Rantz-I can't drink those energy drink, they make me bloated as flaguent, in other words. They make me fart. I know you want to know that.
Jezzi-you better hurry and finish. Time is ticken away. It must be DONE! Morning sweetie.

hey all, i'm not sure if your interested or even wanna hear about the dutch political issues..but it's such a mess in my country at the moment and i just have to share this with you guys. i have to talk about it to someone. a little while ago the dutch writer/director Theo van Gogh is murdered. shot and stabbed by an islamitic guy from morocco. theo has made a movie which was quite insulting for relious islamitic people, but he also has made sceptic remarks bout other religions, he just didn't like religions. that's fine, the freedom of having an opinion (though he stretched it a bit far). after the murder, an islam-primary school has been burned down, and mosques have had treatening letters and small fires. i think it's all getting way too scary. it feels like it's getting out of hand. like 'they burned down our mosque, we'll burn down a church.' ....where's this going??
at my school there are soo many different religions, what if this situation reaches my school? there's a lot of restlessness over here right now, and it feels weird. there have been all those issues lately bout 'the failing of the integration' and so on. and it sortof feels like it's reaching a boiling point..
okay, so much for my worries, sorry guys

Dave~do you use a preamp PRS? I was just told there's a PRS with the preamp on the guitar. True?(I'm an idiot out sound stuff sometimes. i have to have things explained to me many times)
What do you think of the Gibson Nighthawk? It was recommended to me, for the variety of sounds you can get. But it's a disconinued model.
Is there an equivalent tpye of PRS?
(if anyone else can help please do, thanks)

MSN messenger just ticks me off. Sorry. That's why I don't go on there.

Also, the gun tattoos you were looking for..The Lost Prophets are featured in Kerrang this week, the middle page is a big picture of the gun tattoos.

Melissa, we have amazon.co.uk here, and it doesn't sell Dave's book for some reason. It has different stuff on it than on amazon.com.
You can order most stuff from amazon.com to the UK, but then you have to pay high postage costs. And if you don't have a credit/debit card to use, you can't order from there to here.
You asked whether .com, and .co.uk for amazon were the same a couple of days ago, so I thought I'd let you know.

Hi Theresa!!! Waves back
100th post, come on guys, what's the record here, 127? I say BREAK IT!!!! ( I am the skunk in the hole, the onion in the stew)
Hey, just in case some of you forgot, tomorrow is Veteran's Day...No matter our beliefs, no matter our view on the war, there are still hundreds of thousands of young men and women ,so far from home, whose 'sense of duty' overshadows any political view,
Excuse me, I had West Wing Ainsley Hayes episode on my mind, that one where they stick her in the deep dank office, and everyone is mean to her, and then at the end, they all play Gilbert and Sullivan H.M.S. Pinafore for her....classic John Laroquette guest appearance, ok going away....
Just give a holla tomorrow to the boys and girls in uniform....

Nightbird,
I don't select the songs. I rate artists, albums and songs according to my preferences. The internet radio that I subscribe to then plays songs at random. That is why KITTIE and PEABO are on the songlist.
If anyone is interested in hearing my internet radio station do the following:
1- go to this website: http://launch.yahoo.com/launchcast/stations/default.asp
2- scroll to the bottom where it says MEMBER SEARCH. Type in "coachmpall" press search
3- click the "coachmpall" icon in order to listen to it.

Mike from NYC... I was tossing out a bit of sarcasm with the Kittie/Peabo thing. Many kudos to you for having such eclectic tastes. But still, Morgan would probably punch you for listening to Peabo. (Mike dosn't get my sense of humor, but that's ok... He will.... Kisses to Mike.) I'm checking out your radio thing on the "internets," as our Pres would say. :-)
And uh, I've got this Nashville Pussy CD sitting here for you. Still want it?
Rantz... your answers are always entertaining. You should have included screenwriting as well as film directing in your list of things you want to do cuz I think you could write some kickass dialogue if you wanted to.
Rain... I am surprised no one had chosen Maynard yet as their ideal lead singer. I'm with you, girl.
Jez, my friend... just wanted to say thank you. (Hugs)

launchcast yahoo stations, don't work on macs. definately don't on OSX, and I've tried OS 9, and the older netscape the recommend, and it still doesn't work. i gave up trying them long ago...the bastards. that's my favourite swearword, except for a Spanish word, which is super rude to call a man.

Hey Dave, I presently am reading that Anthony Kiedis book that has been released, and am around the OHM part of the book, anyways yeah I just wanted to say thanks for trying to help Anthony when he was struggling with the drugs, the Chili Peppers are my favourite band and are hugely influential to my music and my attitude towards life, and yeah, I just want to say thanks for being a friend to them, and producing a great album with them.
Anyways yeah i'm curious as to if your book will be reaching Australia (if it hasnt already), if so when is or was it released here?

Just wondering what your pedal board looks like Dave,
What kind of effects you use, delays, overdrives etc...
Does it change much?
I love pedals!

10.If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the gates? - Yes, those 'Christians" that beat you and put you in broom closets when you were a kid are now getting assfucked by Hitler's syphilitic cock in hell. Wanna see?
Posted by: Rantz | November 10, 2004 11:28 PM
Rantz~I do not appreciate comments about Christians like that one. I want you to know that when I needed help when I was pregnant in San Francisco, the only people that helped me then were Catholic women. I chose myself to have my son, and they were so kind and caring, and they gave without expecting anything in return. They gave me money, and friendship, helped me get proper care, many things. They also continued to be there after my son was born. They do many good things for many people.
Dissing Christians as a whole, and in such a vulgar way; I object to it.
Sincerely, Lisa

HEY RAIN.......How are ya, I had the chance to see RUSH for the first time in 1988(Hold Your Fire Tour) when I was 13yrs old, unbelievable musicians. Also saw them on Presto & 30th Anniversary tour. Neil Peart, what can you say, after the tragedy he has endured/overcome and still be the ABSOLUTE BEST drummer in rock today, there is no wonder he is still inspiration to people. Rush recorded Farewell to Kings & Hemispheres about 20 miles from where I live in rockfield Studios(Check The song The TREES out, those are 100% welsh birds)... When they played resist on 30th tour, emotionally overcome would be an understatement.....NICE TO SEE SOMEBODY STILL ACKNOWLEDGING THE MASTERS!!!!!!
Posted by: Tonto1% at November 11, 2004 06:20 AM
ALTHOUGH NEXT TO PEART/BONHAM, AFTER WHAT DAVE SAID ABOUT PERKY'S PLAYING ON HYPERSONIC, LOOKS LIKE THE APPRENTICES ARE BECOMING THE MASTERS, OR PADAWANS BECOMING JEDI.... LATIN PHRASE: PERKIUS KICKUS MUCHIMUS ASSUSS.......

Finish this sentence:
Axl Rose is_________________?
Apart from Tommy The Nightmare on GTA San Andreas, a Yeti of the highest calibre(Love that insult), a ego-maniacal cocksmoker.....and next to Vinnie Vincent, probably the most self destructive person in rock.... Even the best bands of all time, most of them contained the biggest assholes...Anyone agree/disagree???
Posted by: TONTO1% at November 11, 2004 06:32 AM
Axl was never an asshole to me. All I know is:
He's damn good looking. He's a great singer.

From Star Magazine article:- "Dave Navarro, 37, is unabashed about his drug-fueled days as a partying rock star.....
"I got sick and tired of feeling sick and tired," and he swore off drugs and alcohol.
DAVE - did you realise you were using lyrics from a Soft Cell song or was this unintentional?

Come on, peeps... We all get way too offended too easily. This is not a partisan forum where we can only express one view. This is Dave Navarro's page, and unless he declares it Democrat or Republican, Christian, Jewish or Anti-Religion, Monty Python, Mel Brooks or Woody Allen, we should be tolerant of others world views and try to be fair in allowing open rhetoric. Right around the election, I know a few people got chastised for expressing pro-Bush views, which was unfair to them because it was their right. We (a majority of us, me included) had cluttered up the board with pro-Kerry sentiments for them to read, which more than likely bugged the crap out of them. Ylais, while at the same time I understand your annoyance with Rantz comment, I think I also get Rantz' sense of humor, and he didn't mean any harm by what he said. He was trying to make you laugh, which unfortunately, he failed at miserably. I think what both you and Rantz need to acknowledge is that whomever gave you your positive/negative views of Christians were just people who had labeled themselves Christians. Helpful people come in all races, religions, sizes, backgrounds... as do awful people.
Posted by: NightBird at November 11, 2004 07:02 AM
great post NightBird
"Helpful people come in all races, religions, sizes, backgrounds... as do awful people"
you make a good point there, i think
Posted by: Emma at November 11, 2004 07:11 AM
Ylais - You are entitled to your point of view, but from an integrity standpoint, looks do not equate to whether or not someone is an asshole, you cant treat band members the way he did and still expect everyone to respect you...ask steven"Popcorn"adler, slash or duff their points of view and i am sure they would be closer to my view than yours. Lets agree to disagree
Tracey Latex Queen - dave probably coined that phrase from the Fight Like a Brave(uplift mofo party plan) "If your feeling sick&tired of feeling sick&Tired, if you sick of all the bullshit and you sick of all the lies" ALTHOUGH,YOU MAY BE RIGHT. WHO KNOWS WHICH WAY THE WIND BLOWS?

Well-said, Nightbird. I wholeheartedly agree.
Rantz, personally, I was LMAO at your post.
Kerry lost because he aligned himself with the lunatic left. America doesn't want to be next Spain, bowing to the threat of terrorism. And although Kerry said he'd hunt down and kill the terrorists, most of us realize that he's just another spineless lefty at heart, and that that would not be his inclination at all.

Hi All,
WOW, there's been a lot going on here over the past few days, I can barely keep up....long lists, 'arguments', loads of new artwork etc...
Unfortunately I can't spend as much time here as I'd like to. I just wanted to pop in to extend my prayers to Lyn & her mom and just to say 'Hello' to the 6767 family.
My mom went for her eye surgery yesterday, we are keeping our fingers crossed that this new laser surgery works or at least helps her condition.
This type of surgery is something new, sometimes it doesn't work. She won't know the outcome for another week or so. Even if it initially 'takes', sometimes it goes right back within a few months!
Suddenly losing ones eyesight at this late stage in life has got to be incredibly frightening, it doesn't matter how 'positive' or 'brave' you are as a person.
It's a damn scary thing; she just woke up one morning, about 2 weeks ago, unable to read & was seeing any straight lines wavy. There's also a hazy spot through the center vision. Thankfully, it's only in one eye. My mom has always been a vocarious reader, so she is pretty annoyed.
She's had a very positive attitude throughout, the doctor told me she was a great patient, which for her age is saying a lot! My mom is quite old. All we can do now is wait. I will be there for her, as always.
And a special 'Thanks' to Dave for his well wishes~~!
take care,
itanja

Re people voicing their views.... from my experience, TWO topics to usually keep AWAY from on ANY messageboard: Religion & politics, I find these to be two areas which make people go off the deep end. lol
But I'm going to put my 2 cents in anyway....Re "the threat of terrorism". Hmmm....well, the two planes which flew into the WTC were our planes, the terrorists killed thousands with American airline planes.
The terrorists don't need any special weapons; their overwhelming hatred of the US & their knowledge are enough for these people. They just come into the US, live here & destroy us from within. The Bush government is too busy wasting American lives & tax payers dollars fighting 'terrorism' in another country! He is good at distracting Americans from the real problems going on right here.
His next step is to destroy a wildlife preserve in Alaska to drill for oil! Instead of this government developing uses for our vast waste products, such as recycling oil from fast food restaurants to produce fuel, all this man does is destroy the beauty of this country in the name of the almighty dollar for his friends who own the oil companies. A few people actually have cars they run on recycled cooking oil from McDonalds! Yes, it's being done & it's safe for the environment.
As for the terrorists, they are already here in our country, Bush isn't doing such a great job of keeping these people out of the US....he's too busy trying to change laws which will turn womans rights back to the dark ages. Women have to wake up & smell the coffee, this is no joke.
Frankly, this Bush nut scares the hell out of me. I'd rather have a "spineless lefty" in office than a cretinous war monger & right wing Fundie who wants to bring this country back to the glory days of the dark ages when women wore chastity belts & their main goal in life was to keep a spotless home!
Btw, pre-9/11, there were many warning signs about 'the terrorists', the Bush government did ignore them.

Can’t stay away…
Itanja, much love and good vibes for your mom, stay positive. She is lucky she has such a loving daughter to be there for her. Scary, right? My dad has a similar thing two summers ago, it took a couple of surgeries but he’s doing fine now. BTW, I’m not Caffeinated Sue, although I am caffeinated and Sue. J
And am I the only one who noticed Rantz’s comment about Christians put the word in quotation marks? I took it to mean “Christians, meaning phony hypocritical people who pretend to be holier-than-thou but actually do more harm than good. I don’t think Rantz meant Christians as a whole.

Some very strong points expressed today, just remember EVERYBODY HAS THEIR OWN OPINION(THANX PERRY)It is how we deal with each others differences that make us good/bad people. A few months ago, none of you existed to me, however I am glad that we all found this site/each other... Heartwarming to see messages of support for each other....getting disgruntled with some arguements. REMEMBER IT IS WHERE WE HAVE COME FROM IN LIFE THAT GIVES US OUR POINTS OF VIEW.... aint no wrong now aint no right? know what i mean
Posted by: tonto1% at November 11, 2004 08:23 AM
itanja.... I know what it's like to go through this with a parent. The best medicine is a good outlook and a sense of humor, which is not easy to garner in such situations. My father, who is the funniest man I know apart from Woody Allen, has had cancer since before I was born, which is about 35 years. He's been "lucky" because he has a slow-growing form of cancer called a carcinoid. They've removed it several times, only to have carcinoid tissue grow back elsewhere in the body. As long as I've known him, he's never felt great, but he's always been smiling, and to be honest, I think that is what has helped to keep him alive. He has been up front with information about his illness, and never seemed to feel defeated. He always joked about it, which I'm sure was just a defense mechanism to hide feelings of fear. But nonetheless, they don't say laughter is the best medicine for nothing. Try to keep your mom's spirits up, if you can.
Dana... Thank you for commending me on my post. I disagree with your views, but you're entitled to your opinion.
Melissa.... darling, dear, honey... TOLERANCE. The election IS over, but the issues remain. I'm with you on the left, but there would be no left without a right. No Jedi without a Sith (which side is which is relative). You can make your point, just as Dana can, with facts and not with insulting language. You wouldn't want her to try to silence you. Both of your views are valid.

Emma... My boyfriend and I saw The Royal Tennenbaums in the theater, and we were rolling over in laughter. The comedic performances in that movie are hilarious, and the story is just insanely brilliant. That is a movie to own, along with Oscar starring Sylvester Stallone. Anyone seen that one? Totally underrated comedy about a 1920s gangster going straight. Tim Curry is one of the greatest comedy characters EVER in this movie, and any movie starring Tim Curry is worth a viewing. I feel the same way about Christopher Walken.
