6:30AM

Norman_ouijaThank you all for the well wishes and the poems. (I don't hate poems) We had a beautiful day yesterday and last night. Earlier in the day, I took some photos of a Suicide Girl friend of mine that should be up on the site by January. Later, Carmen and I had a nice dinner out, just the two of us, followed by some nice alone time. I am actually off until Monday, so I am kind of tripping. I don't really know what to do with free time. We have a trip to Hawaii planned for later in the season, so I am really looking forward to that. Somehow, I have no problem with free time away from home. I hope you are well. I am.

Good guesses... but I wouldn't have spent even 5 minutes on Tara Reid or Paris Hilton. I actually might have knocked them out for being so friggin' stupid. (Okay, okay.... can I not get attacked for that comment?) No, this person has a brain... just a little in need of attention.

As for the Courtney guess, I actually wish she had been MY counselor at camp.

And, sorry guys, but her name has been withheld to protect the, ummmm, innocent.

HEY DAVE,

If you were writing "Don't Try This At Home : Part 2", what would be the name of the first chapter, and what would be the first 3 sentences?

Dave!

I read in the paper that Carmen is going to be part of a pilot for TV?!? Will you do a cameo? :-)

So a couple of music questions for you:

1. In terms of experimental music/sounds to come up with something *different*, what's the coolest sound you've come up with and how did you achieve it?

2. Do you listen to blues? If so, who are some of your favorite artists?

Happy (early) Turkey Day!

So what did you two love birds do yesterday to celebrate?

Posted by: americanzer0 at November 23, 2004 07:48 AM

First off, congratulations to Dave and Carmen! :D

Second, I just have been looking at the site lately, and it seems that alot of you have life stories that intrigue and interest people. However, with 172-more posts to sort through, i have to admit i get tired of reading here. Might i suggest that everyone who wants to share their feelings insights and life stories get a livejournal or something and then post there, and link it.

Hell, it would be neat to have a 6767 blog ring. You know? We can all link the journals of people here and make a random blog URL button so that people who enjoy the lives of the other people here can randomly find a god journal to read. Much like whitepony has done.

Or if the ring isnt a good idea, you can just link your blog when you post to dave. If people who follow your stories wants to get long and in depth detail they can click it. I linked my site a few times and it got alot of hits from it.

Just a thought. And i really dont care what you all say to me, since i wont be reading it probably...

Livejournal: Aggrivated_Pixi

(you gotta have Lj to read mine and you have to be added to my friends list)

Later!

Dave -

Congrats on the 1 yr anniversary as well as the book, I just finished it a few days ago. We are adding it to our list of the top 5 music books of the year on our year end wrap up set to launch fairly soon.

- what have been some of your favorite discs that came out this year? our top 5 is The Killers, Velvet Revolver, Snow Patrol, u2, and Green Day...most likely in that order.

Peace,
scott

Bonnie, some people are just long winded and can't stop typing, but it's real simple all you have to do, is skim past the long redundant posts that bore you, I do it all the time, that way I don't miss the funny little posts that make my day!

oh yah Paris was my second guess, but I thought if it was Courtney, it would have been classic.

Dave,
Would love to hear The Panic Channel cover Evenflow sometime. Any chance of that ever happening?

Posted by: TC at November 23, 2004 08:23 AM

Hello to all! Long time, no check in for me... still flying off of my VR Buzz from last week, i suppose. Anyway, just wanted to say hi to DN and all my friends here (if i actually have any). I noticed someone mentioning that TPC should cover a song...I think a couple song's I'd love to hear them cover, and do in their own style of arrangement, would be, "Ain't No Sunshine (when she's gone)" by Bill Withers, or "Sounds of Silence" even, by Simon & Garfunkel. Those are some song's I'd love to put to new arrangement's and cover... Anyway, Paris & Nicole are running around my town somewhere, think I'm gonna go on a hunt today, while the lady is away...though in that whole "You get one celebrity, I get one..." mine was always Nicole, not that she's really a celeb...but anyway, I don't think my girl ever actually thought Nicole would be in Baltimore, which is why the game is easy to play, and not quite serious...anyway, i'm sure many of you if you've made it this far are sufficiently lost, so i'll wrap this like a child molestation accusation (I'm not talking 'bout Michael, it's just a metaphor, I'm just psycho ;-)

FTR(for the record)
ENCORE- Eminem's new record is incredible in my opinion as usual. Pretty nice to hear a whole hip hop album that doesn't allude to drugs or drug use or selling drugs at all through-out the entire record. So much for those who think he can only exist by Shock Value... Bye 4 Now Ya'll!

Posted by: Adrock at November 23, 2004 08:34 AM

one more quick note. I like Bonnie's idea, for having a 67 Blog Ring. I too find it impossible and way to time consuming to attempt to find the post's that intrigue me, when the Haystack is 200 comments (many of which are just one on one personal conversations that technically could be done on AIM or Email etc...), but regardless, I'm sure everyone has alot of really interesting stuff in their online journal's...i know i do...and there's no better way to get to know someone on here, in my eyes, than to get right into their head. I hold nothing back on my blogs, and i'm sure most of you don't either, and this way we could pick and choose who's head(s) we want to get into... but Kudo's to the Blog Ring Idea, Bonnie...I'm dwt ("down with that") lmao...peace

happy anniversary, Dave! :3

http://www.so-to-speak-if-you-will.com/gallery/details.php?image_id=752 <-- d'aww! *pouts at the cuteness and adorability*

ahem... *clears throat* wow, I don't have any unicorn toys... I'm pretty sure I did when I was very, very little though. before my grandpa broke his leg, the backside of my house was a horseriding school, and I was quite convinced the whitest horse there was actually a unicorn, and when the horseshoe-farrier came to change the shoes, I thought that the bits of bone that he'd cut off the hooves were bits of the horn... I had a very vivid imagination! still do, but back then I didn't realise that my imagination was very fucked-up, so it was slightly more fun 'back in the day', so to speak.

random questions of the day... for dave, or the 'famiglia' (note that Soph is the cousin you only invite round for christmas when you can't get out of family meet-ups *laughs)

milk or cheese?
electric or acoustic?
paint or glue?
pencil or pen?
yes or no?

amitiés et tous des bonnes chances pour Dave et Carmen, pour l'année prochain,

Sean... just for future reference, "D&C" is a gynecological procedure that stands for, technically, "Dilatation and Curettage," or slang, "Dusting and Cleaning".... a thing they do to clean out any impurities inside the female reproductive organs, generally done after a miscarriage. It's up to Dave and Carmen, but personally, I don't want to equate them with this.

is it just me, or are we all in a particularly catty mood today...? for me it started with the last thread, when I found out Dave hates poetry!!!!

hey, we did that whole blog thing already, member, you member (channeling George Lopez), and Dave put up a pic of him and his gun looking at computer monitor, tweaker phase I guess.

When DAVE decides to change format, I will happily follow along, for now, I have two, no three, blogs, and NOONE goes there, even though I have posted links, now, a smart girl would take the hint that no one finds my life interesting but me, but I am the one who still touches the stove in hopes it might not be hot this time

"nightbird, i highly doubt that anyone was thinking that but you."
Posted by: kara | November 23, 2004 09:45 AM

Kara.... Exactly. That's what makes me me, and not anyone else. It was a sarcastic joke, darling. And honestly, probably one of the more interesting posts of the day. The only reason that a "D&C" is stuck in my head is because I did a monologue years back for a theater production where the character complains, in detail, about having a "D&C." So, you're right, no one else probably has that imprinted in their brain, but hey, I enjoy my bizarre flashbacks to playing someone else... especially when I'm sitting here at 1:45pm at the same desk I'll be sitting at when 6pm rolls around. Humdrum.

ooftymcgoofty.... your D&C is much better than mine. I concede. :-)

Posted by: NightBird at November 23, 2004 10:48 AM

i believe i remember one time dave mentioning the poem "the love song of j. alfred prufrock" by TS Eliot as one of his favorite poems, but i don't know his stance on poetry...and even if he doesn't like poetry, i'm sure he appreciates teh sentimentality and the thought behind the poems you all have created. so no worries.

damn! you're up early!...the only time i'm up at 6 am is when work makes me be up that early lol...which is rare...but then again...in high school...i woke up everyday at 5:45 am for four years...i still don't know how i did that. anyways...HAPPY DAY AFTER ANNIVERSARY!! lol...much love to everyone here!

No NightBird, I would never attack you for telling the truth & saying what's on your mind!

Paris Hilton & Tara Reid ARE two very lame, dumb, no talent airheads! WHY are these people famous?

How zoned out was Reid when her dress fell down at that premiere a few weeks ago? Didn't she feel it slipping over her shoulder? Hmmmm..perhaps she knew excatly what was going on & kept posing.

She knew all the publicity it would generate. Typical behaviour for people who have nothing to offer but their 'bodies'. The girl doesn't even have a personality, on talk shows she has nothing witty or interesting to say, ditto for Paris.

So many of these flash-in-pan 'stars' today have cornered the market on being all about hype, smoke & mirrors. None seem to possess any real talent, that doesn't seem to be a problem for any of them, as long as the public keep on buying into their hype.

I usually try to give the general public a bit more credit for their ability to weed out the talent from the crap, but these days I wonder about people even caring who they give their hard earned money to. They seem to buy into ANY crap which is thrown at them. That's across the board, wheter it be music, movies, fashion ...anything.

It's difficult to stomach such talentless people when I actually know some very talented & attractive people who can actually sing & act. They are still trying to get their big breaks in showbiz.

An old concert going buddy did finally make it, he's now a fairly famous writer in Hollywood. It took him a long time. He's worked with Jodie Foster (not to mention other major actors) & was nominated for a few awards, including a Tony & an Oscar. I saw him in NYC a few years ago, he seemed quite happy. He's also happy about the fact that he isn't in the papers & magazines.

Btw, I think I know WHO the camp counselor was! Paris is very well known for her "NO UNDERWEAR" clause! LOOOOOOOL

Btw, "D&C", that IS too funny, I actually was thinking THAT! Must be the artist thing! Dave will probably find it funny also!

take care,
itanja

Hey D&C. I hope you enjoyed every wonderful moment of your anniversary!

As far as the OTHER kind of D&C that Nightbird mentioned, I have to admit that I, too, can't help but think about that whenever I see those letters. In my case, I just have a sick, twisted mind. LOL

As for the blog/journal situation, either approach is fine with me.

Just one more thing re: SUE. I got your email. Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that she was on the air. I didn't think that you sounded jealous or anything, and I certainly hope that I didn't come across that way either.

As someone who always pursued careers in the media, I admit to being just *slightly* jealous that certain people like Amy Fisher get more opportunities than others, simply based on notoriety. But that's my own cross to bear, and I'll carve out my own unique niche someday, if it's meant to be. But it won't be by stalking anyone's wife. LOL

Cheers and have a great day,
:)

i like the long posts and i like it when people tell something personal bout themselves. i love to read everyones reactions and the support towards each other. don't know what it is, maybe curiosity for other peoples lives, or maybe i'm just interested; everybody's different, everyone has a different approach and view on things, i like to read about different kinds of people. i also like that it's not all about music, poetry etc, but also about the connections between the 'fam' members and dave. what kind of people does dave have as 'fans'..
but that's just my humble oppinion, if dave thinks the blog-thing's a good idea, i will happily follow along

HI NightBird,

"Oh, and I was the camp counselor, silly girl."

OOOPs what were people saying about just scanning the posts?? I actually wasn't sure about who was doing what. I also confess that I was too lazy to go back to doublecheck your camp post.

Let's see if I remember.....This was upstate NY, correct? You did also mention that Dave knows this person? Well, Dave does know Paris, but I certainly don't consider her 'beautiful'.

You did say that this panti-free person was now beautiful, correct?? So I should have never guessed Paris!

Hmmm, does this girls name start with an M? Seems doubtful it could be the person I am thinking of, as she is from California, but I thought I'd give it a guess.

Got to go feed my turtle.....as I continue to ponder the bare crotched wonder......

take care,

Do you ever feel like a sucker for the media, or any other outside influence, tricking you, or worse, guilting you into carring about petty bullshit that you know doesnt matter or affect your life?

Sometimes I just want to be left out, like nothing in current events applies to me anymore, or like i just dont think whats being celebrated is right.
Youve seen the local news in LA. is any of that even news??!

Am I just alienated or do ou think theres more of me out there? people who really dont give a shit whats going on right now? or am i just burnt out on what passes for news?

AAAAAhhhhh, I can't stand it anymore. I WAS THE ONE THAT WENT COMMANDO. Damnit, NB, you swore you'd never tell, and to your credit, you didn't, but you knew I'd break down, sooner or later. I'm Angelina, with a J, in reality.

Guys, I hate to break it to you, but I'm not gonna post the girl's name on the board. If you want, you can guess via e-mail, but I won't tell you unless you get it right. (Jeez... I did not expect this much interest.)

PS Remember: I said it was rumored she came to dance class without underwear. I never actually witnessed that. I did, however, make a sorry attempt to teach her a cheer while hung over.

I wondering Dave how do you write your music? In sheet? If so, when did you learn?

Posted by: count duckula at November 23, 2004 01:43 PM

i, too, love reading everyone's posts...i love learning about peoples lives and personalities and their little quirks...i guess that's why i'm studying psych.

and as for the top 5 bands/artists of late 90's (which i'll consider '98 til now, and having formed or become famous around that time)mine are:

1. Maroon 5
2. Eminem
3. Moby
4. Incubus (i know they came out in like '95, but got big in '99)
5. Coldplay

i'm sure i'm forgetting a few bands...but in my opinion there hasn't been good music in the era of '98-2004 save for The Panic Channel and Velvet Revolver and Audioslave etc., but they contain members of bands from the good era of music and therefore i feel like they can't be counted lol...but i'm giving them more time, cause i know they'll rock into the future also...that's my list...i'd be curious to hear others

-Love, Emily

Sorry Emily but I disagree with ya...there are some great bands out there, you just have to fight through radio and find them. here are some bands worth checking out if you havent that I had the pleasure of working with this past year.

The late 90's were a blur musically. My first job out of college in 1997 was for a music distribution company, and I remember having to discuss Britney Spears, the Spice Girls, Hanson and the Backstreet Boys (for my job) on a daily basis. Let's see... what else was out around then? Savage Garden... the fucking Titanic soundtrack. To be honest, I don't remember discussing any memorable new bands at the time... at least, no one who is still around. Wait, wait... I thought of a few (hang out with me in 1997 for a moment):

1. Radiohead
2. Blur (I only used that word in my first sentence.... duh.)
3. Cornershop
4. Sneaker Pimps
5. Foo Fighters, baby!

I did it! I thought of 5 good bands from 1997! (Those are bands... there was one individual artist that emerged that year that blew me away... and that was Fiona Apple.)

Posted by: NightBird at November 23, 2004 02:14 PM

i love your list nightbird...and fiona apple was outstanding...unfortunately i only did my list from 98 on...but if i included 97...all those artists would be on it...my fav era for music was like 88-98...but that's just me :-D

You got to love Jeff Buckley, Grace is such an amazing disc.

i have to agree with you Steve, Kings of Leon and Mars Volta are both amazing. De-Loused was easily our best disc of 2003....it is amazing.

Cheers Scott

I think it's harder these days for bands to get passed they're initial success, like the first album will do real well and suddenly they're "the next big thing" or "the new..."
And then i feel they get rushed into a follow-up that won't be so well recieved...and then thats it,they're either dropped because the didn't shift enough units or they are don't get the exposure the label should be giving them.
As soon as an independant label has an act that makes it big,a giant co-operate record label swollow the indie label up.

So now i don't think bands get the chance to grow or hone they're sound for that masterpiece they are capable of.
How many new bands around now will still be around for the next 10 or 15 years,
Of the bands that have been around for that sort of time didn't really make it big worldwide or find they're sound until maybe the 5th album, example RHCP,U2,Radiohead,Blur.
Those bands got big later, and kept they're musical integrity.

I feels like fast food these days.
There are some great bands out there,it's a shame that their greatest music may never get made just because some suit say's they are not making money.

Indie labels that i know of:Alternative Tenticles(are they still going?)
Dischord and Record Collection, there is probably loads more.
It seems sometimes as if alternative music is being manufactured.

I'm ranting goddammit.

Dave-kinda in relation to my last post

I don't know if you remember this but around the time you joined RHCP or the release of OHM i read an interview in which you said that you didn't really see yourself still going out on tour past the age of 30,you said something along the lines of going into producing or spotting new talent and helping them get signed,it was something like that,i can't remember excactly.
Would that still be something youd like to do if you haven't already?

Corbin--hello!!! About that "getting a life"? Do you have an extra one you can spare?

Dave...I hope you are in Hawaii, and you and Carmen are swimming with the dolphins!!!! Don't hurry back....we will still be here!!

CONGRATS ON THE ONE YEAR MARK!!!!

On the note of personal blogs: F**k 'em! I love to hear how everyone is doing. No one peron except Dave has the rite to say "take it some where else." I also seam to remember reading a question on this that Dave had answered a few months ago and he said something to the effect of he enjoys it. I'm sick of this subject and the bad vibes it digs up so until he says something I will look forward to hearing how you all are doing every day and reading it all right here.

July 20 Question #12

12. So, there seems to be a lot more side-chatter going on now here than there originally was. What's your take on this?

Actually, it has been really great. If by side chatter you mean people talking among themselves I love it. Community dude!

Dave,

I love Norman Rockwell paintings. ¿Do you have a favorite painting?

Steve -

couldnt agree with you more. when I started my site and started getting packets in from labels they were like 10 artists that I just was a huge fan of. Out of those 10, probably 5 were able to record a second CD with 1 or 2 still on the label they started with. and its such a shame since radio doesnt support newer bands

Posted by: scott at November 23, 2004 06:43 PM

Hi Dave!

Posted by: ***Cyn*** at November 23, 2004 06:48 PM

When they say "video killed the radio star" it's very true, and very sad, since videos are so stereotypical...beautiful bodies, sex sex sex, and it doesn't matter if the music is rank, the video can make the most talentless jerk a big star, and the radio will only play music that has a popular video to go with it.

***little bitty rant***

Posted by: ***Cyn*** at November 23, 2004 06:55 PM

Rain, thanks for digging up that answer from Dave, it seems like this is the 3rd time someone has tried to encourage people to post elsewhere, still trying to figure out why they care, when it's so easy to skim the posts if you don't want to read every line...

Posted by: ***Cyn*** at November 23, 2004 06:58 PM

Amen Misty! Sometimes if I'm short on time, I skim through the posts, and other times, I read them word for word. Regardless, I love this "place" and I make sure I visit at some point each day. I think that it's like being a regular at a restaurant where you sit at the same table every day, and the waitress knows your usual by heart. Sometimes you take your order to go, but sometimes you sit and shoot the breeze and relax. You know everyone there, they all know you, and it feels like coming home. We have that here. I like that. I like reading what you're all doing and not doing.

I forgot I even had a blog. Like Jez said about hers, it's rarely visitied but here's the link anyway: http://www.livejournal.com/users/rubymoon/

So my opinion is to keep posting guys. I, for one, will keep reading.

Spreading the love,
Deena

I don't know what to do with my free time either, when it's at home....I can't wait to go back to school...I miss my minions!! Ok, but here is jezzi's top ten list for Dave
10. Give Carmen a foot massage.
9. Write a silly song.
8. Play your guitar just for fun.
7. Take your brothers to the movies!
6. Go up and play in the snow
5. Clean out your garage.
4. Play around with Panic Channel site (message board?)
3. Visit Deena's, Jennette's, Freak's, and Pony's sites.
2. Dance like nobody's watching (do the Elaine dance)
1. Show up somewhere unexpected on Thanksgiving and feed the homeless.

The rest of you, have you visited Deena and Jennette's sites lately, there's always something nice there!!

So glad to hear you and Carmen had a great day and above all time to yourselves that is important. I know what you mean about time on your hands lol i am like a work-a-holic because i am crazed when i have nothing to do. I read your book and it was amazing and hit home for me in more ways then you will ever know. Thank again for showing us light at the end what seems at times a very dark tunnel. Keep Rockin'

Hey Dave (and Carmen)! Sorry for the late wishes, but I was busy seeing Velvet Revolver and celebrating a 27 month anniversary at the same time. I'm glad you guys had a great time together. Time is so precious, and best spend with loved ones at rock concerts. The show was just great. I've got your book, Dave! It arrived from Amazon today, and will be waiting under the Christmas tree. Take care everyone! Love, Karina.

I have an idea. Why don't you and the Mrs. come down to Atlanta? We got a big ass Coca-Cola Museum, umm, we got Underground Atlanta (the 3rd version, and it's making as much money as the first two did-$0!), and Stone Mountain (with a lake named for the family of a former KKK grand dragon!). If you really want to feel at home, our traffic is worse than LA's! Dear God, someone get me out of here. Seriously though, we do have the childhood home of Dr. King, and the King Center (one of this towns' few sites worth seeing). And our Falcons are 8-2. And you guys are welcome to stay at my house! I got like an AM AND an FM radio! :)

Dave,
I know this is a little late but I'm really enjoying the starlit downloads. Very cool stuff. I didn't even realize that they were playing like a million times in the background. My favorite is Social Slut, I wonder why?

By the way it’s confirmed I’m going to Hawaii too (Oahu) from Dec. 23rd to Jan 2nd. Woooohooo. I was a little worried I was going to be stuck house sitting but my friend’s mom saw me stressing out and offered to let me pay her the rest of the money until after New Years. She totally rocks. Now I just need stop eating and exercise my ass off (literarily), before these puppies see some light (my blinding white legs). I don't think they seen light in a few years.

Dave if you have too much time on your hands and need to blow off some steam, maybe blow off some heads, Grand Theft San Andres will absorb your days and nights effortlessly. Not too constructive, but not too destructive either. Have a great holiday all!

I sometimes skip - sometimes read all the posts. Depends on time or mood. I don't have a prob with it being here.

Glad you had a nice day Dave !!

As for music - well my latest favorites are:
The Music, Mars Volta, Velvet Revolver, Placebo
I hope for the new QOTSA and Audioslave albums next year.
For the rest i stay true to Jane's, Decon, Polar Bear, old RHCP, some Metallica...i always have some of them in my daily playlist.

love,

Posted by: Navarrian at November 23, 2004 11:26 PM

Navarrian

I'm with you. I think Placebo are one of the most underrated bands today. Low profile, great music.
I have my fingers crossed for the QotSA, but with Nick leaving, I honestly don't know if it'll be the same. He was such a huge part of it that it's hard to imagine them without him.

Q: what does Jane's, QotSA and Placebo all have in common?

A: All have remixed tracks on the SSX3 snowboarding game put out by EA (which is frightfully addictive)

Time to watch Kill Bill V2 and then to bed...

Speaking of remixes, anyone heard the Electro Addiction CD? Its lots of electro bands covering songs from Nothing's Shocking up to Strays. Its pretty gash unfortunately, Been Caught Stealing made me smile, but after 5 songs I'm reaching for the remote and the Best of The Meters just to get my funk back. Sounds like Gary Numan on a bad day, I thought electro would mean Afrika Bambaataa Planet Rock style, now that would be a CD I'd want to hear!

I normally wouldn't post something like this on here, so apologise to those who aren't interested..but I think this is a big deal. Brian Eno is involved with "Get Blair Impeached" See it is a weird and wacky world!

"Wednesday November 24, 07:12 AM

Celebrities join bid to impeach PM

Celebrity anti-war campaigners will join MPs in Westminster to call for Tony Blair's impeachment.

Some 23 MPs have signed a Commons motion calling for the Prime Minister to be thrown out of office for "gross misconduct".

Author Iain Banks, playwright Harold Pinter and musician Brian Eno are due to join them for a photocall in Parliament.

It is the first attempt to impeach a British Prime Minister for 198 years.

The group says Mr Blair misled Parliament and the country over the case for war, destroying "the fundamental principle of parliamentary democracy".

It is demanding a select committee of MPs be set up to examine the PM's conduct in relation to the war and decide whether there are grounds to impeach him on charges of gross misconduct.

Plaid Cymru MP Adam Price, who started the campaign, also wants a Commons debate on the Prime Minister's conduct.

"We must make a stand or watch the democracy we have fought so often for against foreign enemies be subverted from within," he said.

"The rules of constitutional conduct have been brushed aside. The Cabinet table has been replaced with the sofa, Cabinet minutes with email and the facts replaced with belief.

"People say politicians do nothing and are all alike. Today we make a stand for parliamentary democracy. We ask our colleagues and the people to help us restore the accountability of the Government to Parliament." "

Love to all, Lisa xxxx

ps. rabbit and rant all you want everyone, on here, over there on your blogs, on your messengers, emails..wherever....

Hey, I'll still have my big mouth opinions sometimes though! :P

So, I get my dog neutered cause he's spastic and has been waking me up at 3:00 am lately (this, despite having let him out at midnight) and because all the vets say it's the right thing to do, right? Fucker still woke me up at 5:00! $175.00 for two more hours of sleep a night? Eh, guess it's worth it. Have a great day, folks!

Posted by: Lyn at November 24, 2004 02:43 AM

I heard about a woman who owned a Border Collie. She would leave the back door open for it during the day and it could go in the garden and the house as it pleased. Upon returning she would find muddy footprints up the stairs and discover her dog in her bed with lots of plant pots that it had brought up from the shed. Apparently the dog thought that they were her litter of puppies and was really hurt when she was chastised. The owner would remove the pots, clean the bed and the dog would try to be sneaky and do it again.
They have compromised with a litter of 1 clean plant pot.
Dogs rock.

Hi Dave, hope you are okay and everythings fine?! i come from germany and 3 days ago i got my copy of your book from the states. damn expensive, but worth the money for me. i love your solo record, listen to it everytime i open your book and when it's over i close your book. thats how i do it, like a soundtrack! can you tell me what record is that you recorded with chad smith? it's funny, i work at a chauffer service company and when the Peppers played in June at the Rock am Ring i drove Chad alone with his Blonde Girlfriend or only a good friend (i dont know) he was very very nice and cool to me. we drove around town to get something german to eat, but the sad thing was we had only 40 to find something plus eat cause we had pick up for the Airport later the day... i'm also a Drummer so it was a Honor to drive him.

okay, enough said. thanks for your inspiration.

I hope you are all well (don't have the time to read through your posts to find out)
