She Had To Get Out (Get Out)

PaintingI am back home in L.A.! Sunday morning, coffee, Camels, it's all very nice. I had such a great time in New York. The week just flew by. Thank you to all who came and said hello at the signings over there. It was great to meet you all face to face. Tomorrow, I will be calling in to Kevin and Bean on L.A.'s KROQ in the morning and then returning in the evening for Love Lines. After that, there are only the two signings in L.A., Book Soup and Sam Goody. The book tour is soon to be a historical fact. I can return to the band and start up with the rock again. I've had a look at Anthony's book and I gotta tell you, everything in it that pertains to me is completely true. Wow! I forgot some of that stuff. It was interesting for me to read the other side of everything. I have to say that it was very cool to be out there promoting my book while he was out promoting his. We stayed at the same hotel and got to check in with each other everyday. I appreciate your feedback on the book. It feels very good to have finally put that out. Neil Strauss and I are planning a photo show soon that will include some of the racier photos that didn't make the final edit. I'll be sure to let you all know when that is. The images in the book, had to be somewhat responsible, but the ones in the show... DO NOT. They will also be displayed in all different sizes ranging from original to six feet tall. Someone asked who I was hanging with out there on the East. I was with Riss, my manager, Neil Strauss and Lisa Leverage, Courtney's guitarist. Their presence made the trip so much fun. It was like a vacation. This week is all about TPC. Writing, recording and setting up our next show here in L.A. We are planning on a November outing. We will keep you posted. I'm off to the gym as I haven't been in a week and I have treated every meal as if it were Sunday! Today, I have to nourish myself as if it was Monday. :(

Emily, my prayers are with you and your family.

Sunday Love,

DN

The image is a picture of the painting Manson did of me. Yellow and skinny DTTAH days. Thank God the booth was Black & White!

An art show? Very cool. Will others who are not even remotely close to the area be able to see these photos?

oh, Dave, did you tell anthony about Shoot and this great community you have?lol. if you did tell him about Shoot, what were his thoughts?

Posted by: Kyle at October 10, 2004 09:40 AM

Hey Dave,

Glad to hear all went well with the signings, it was great being able to meet and thank you for everything in person. Interesting you mentioned the art show, I was wondering why more "graphic" images weren't included in the book to represent certain events with the corresponding months (i.e. you turning orange, trackmarks, swelling, etc.). It would do some good for people to actually see what addiction does to your body, might make them think twice about using. Will the art shows being planned have a tour around a few cities, or is it going to be only in LA?

Have fun at the gym. Which reminds me, I should get back there myself.

Peace,
Sean

thank you so much dave for your prayers and sympathies. it means more to me than you will ever know.

and i just wanted to say thank you to everyone else. today is better than yesterday, as i'm sure tomorrow will be better than today. one day at a time...but everyone is right...focus on the good memories and her life, not her death. which is what i'm trying to do. thank you all again.

-much love for all...Emily

Posted by: blondimofo at October 10, 2004 09:50 AM

and just to add some normalcy back to the board...as i feel i have brought it down a little bit...all of dave's "entourage" lol at the book signing were severely nice. Riss just stood and talked to us and was sooo nice and just completely accomodating. Neil was really interested in what we had to say and was a very interesting character. i really enjoyed the book, and now i'm looking forward to the photo show.

i'm still going to the camp freddy show on the 21st though...i still plan to see a lot of you there. thank you all again :-)

Yes, that's right, this restaurant has a working photo booth that looks just like the one in DTTAH! Come hang out, even if you don't feel like eating (just order water or something).

Where:
Lemon Restaurant
230 Park Ave (19th street, just a few blocks from Union Square and Irving Plaza)
New York, New York 10003

When: October 21st, Around 5:30pm

Why: Because we can!

This is only a temporary plan for now. I want to hear from the rest of you going to the show if this is good for all you or not. If you want to change the time or location, post some ideas. So far, a few of you said this was a good idea. Just to get an idea, how many of you think you could make this? Hope to hear from you all!

Peace,
Sean

I'd love to know what you and Anthony talked about! :D
Damn I'm nosey! Not really, it's just like you said, him putting things about you on your book that you didn't even remember! Still awaiting both books over here in UK.

I would love to see the photo show. sounds great.

Love Lisa xxxx

it would be absolutely great if people outside the US could see that photo show, but first i need to get my hands on DTTAH....everyone here is talking about it and i'm so jalous...arrrg
oh, and the same thing goes for Scar Tissue, want to read that one too asap....sometimes i wish i lived overthere (but on the other hand, i love my country too)

Emily, i wish you and your family strength and my thoughts are with you.
i love this 6767 comunity, everyone is so supportive, sweet, interested and full of love. hope we get you trough you hard times

Hi all.

Emily~I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. If there was anything I could say to make it all better, I would.

My signed copy of DTTAH is on the way, yay.
Too tired to think right now, going to finish up some work and then go to sleep at 10pm instead of 2am. That'll be a change.

Have a good one, everyone!

I wish I knew that was Neil! So far every book I've read of his has been great + I would have liked to tell him that + have him sign your book too...damn it!

Wow. It's amazing what happens when you miss a day...

Emily -- Happy (if that's possible) belated b-day, and I'm SO sorry to hear about your grandmother. There's not much more I can say that hasn't already been said. Just know that, even though she's not physically here on this earth anymore, she's still here with you. I truly believe that.

Sean/itanja/etc. -- Whatever you guys want to do sounds fine with me. Count me in, and I'll let you know if and when anything changes.

DAVE -- In case my other posts got buried and you didn't see them, I just want to recap. Thank you so much for making this week one of the most exciting times of my life. Meeting one of my heroes face-to-face was terrifying, intimidating (I COMPLETELY lost my "cool" for a moment there), and ultimately wonderful. As corny as this sounds, I feel like one of my biggest dreams has come true, and everything else that could happen hereon in is icing on the cake.

I have to run now, but I'll write a few more thoughts later.

Love,
-Denise

Good morning family,

It's a beautiful fall day here in Southern Cali...a little chilly, rain clouds in the sky, perfect for Sunday!!

Emily, happy day after your birthday to you...

DAVE!!!! November, dare I hope? hmm, My birthday, I am off work that month, My Colorado friend has changed his plans, AGAIN, and will be out here that month....He says HE is Dave's golden fan, and I can only hope to be a tarnished silver, hahahha

Thanks ladies and gentleman of 6767 for yesterday's musical selections, they WORKED!!

Soundtrack for Sunday sonambulance?

somnambulance-walking, or addicted to walking, while sleeping? Spell check, although son ambulance is a pretty cool band

back to the sunday activity of conjugating verb forms of pee.....

Posted by: jezebel at October 10, 2004 11:26 AM

Soundtrack for Sunday somnambulance, hmmm?

Not as easy as yesterday's, as I've never sleepwalked - sleptwalked - eh, too lazy to check ... in my life (to my knowledge). So, I have to imagine what type of music I'd want playing to induce this state; and, I'm thinking the music should be calming and melodic as opposed to something like Faith No More's "Epic" or Metallica's "Enter Sandman" which (to me) would bring on something a little closer to 'Nightmare on Elm Street'.

I'm gonna go cliche' right off the bat and toss in "Silent Lucidity" by Queensryche, with Gram Parsons Project's "Time" thrown in for good measure. Gregorian or Native American chants would work nicely, I'd think. Maybe some Enya, Sarah MacLachlan, something Celtic.

*scratches my head* That's all I've got so far. Must ponder some more.

Quite the gauntlet you've thrown down Jez. LOL

Much love and respect,
~~ Lori

Posted by: Lori at October 10, 2004 12:02 PM

Speaking of gauntlets, I've got one. Your challenge if you choose to accept it although this message will NOT self-destruct in five seconds:

Is there anything in your lives that you're OCD about?

For example, the biggest OCD thing with me is paper money. If I have more than one bill of any denomination, I am compelled to:

* Put all the bills facing the same direction
* Smooth out any dogears or wrinkles

Not a big deal, I know; but, this is where the OCD kicks in:

* Put all the bills in order by denomination, from smallest to largest, with the "new" bills going behind the old ones (i.e., $20's)
* Put each denomination in order by serial number.

Quirky? Maybe. I prefer to think of it as "part of my charm."

Happy Sunday!
~~ Lori

The photo show sounds so awesome, i would love to see that!

I'm loving this whole getting together with RHCP members that's going on here and it has caused a light bulb to go on in my head...

a festival. Panic Channel coheadlining with the RHCP, Pearl Jam, Courtney Love.. and of course Camp Freddy too and get Velvet Revolver and Doheny in there.

You know you want to do it!
Now that would be so awesome!!

Hey All,

Just a little note to all the European Fam, on Mtv Holland which I presume is the same throughout Europe (I may be wrong) they are showing a "Janes" gig this evening (Sunday) at midnight.

Enjoy!

Emily - Happy belated birthday & my condolences. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Sean - RE the Oct 21 Camp Freddy show meet-up plans: That sounds pretty cool, but I'm working that day and may not be able to be there that early. I assume you would be hanging there up until maybe an hour before the show? Dee, did you have any other ideas on where to meet up? It's insane - the last time I saw you & the 6767ers in the city was when we went to see Three Days!

Dave, do you still keep in contact with Dominique in Australia?

hey kirsty, just 30 minutes at midnight and right after that the Queens Of The Stoneage, unfortunatly i have to get up early tomorrow.

Linda, I am getting you a book and a wristband.

Rain- we are meeting up at 2 or something and you're possibly giving me a ride home? I'll email you.

Just called Sam Goody at Unviversal city walk, they are already giving out wrist bands- they are giving out 325. i'm heading out there right now to get the book and some wrist bands.

Men, I am really ocd about men, I like them in every shape and size, I like talking to them, I like looking at them, I like....(insert transitive here) with them..

Lori, yes I am asking for help, but maybe not, That's the whole thing, even if one admits one needs help, it needs to also be one's own terms, lest it be for naught...(vague enough...sunday always reminds me of watching pbs movies with Sean Bean...yummy....)

Soundtrack for somnambulance...City of Angels..
notably Red House by Jimi and the two after that, Paula Cole and I'm at this moment listening to the angelic melodic, rhapsodic, dulcet, B.B. king's "Talk to your Daughter for Me...."

Happy Sunday to Dave and family...just checking in to say Hi.

Lori...Quirky??? I thought everyone handled their money that way...I know I do!!! I also wash my hands a lot and don't like to touch garbage cans, bathroom door knobs/handles, etc. I guess we all have our little OCD type behaviors!

My Grandma, who has alzheimers, fell yesterday morning and broke her hip. We had a big 13 hour day spent at two different emergency rooms yesterday, before I finally go her admitted and settled in. She will have surger tomorrow...since I am her legal guardian, the hosptial wants me to be nearby at all times...very much like being responsible for a child. I am on my "lunch break" now so wanted to check in for some cheer.

Anyway...gotta run!

Lori--sending the wishes you sent to me this morning, back to you tenfold.
I have had personal experience with role reversal, I did a not so great job of taking care of my mom, I hated it, She hated it...(insert Forrest Gump..that's all I have to say about that, but know that there are people who are here whenever you want cheer....

Shane -- dude, you ROCK! The mention of "old Crue" has 'God Bless The Children of the Beast' on loop in my head (to add to the somnambulance soundtrack) ... ooh! Now I've got 'Shout at the Devil'. Niiicccceeee.

Cori -- thank you. I always get picked at whenever I do my "money thing" in front of someone. Not that I give two s!@ts; but, it's just nice to know I'm not the only one.

Rain -- food on my plate can't touch. Eating in even #'s actually sounds pretty cool.

Jez -- I hear ya. That's why I asked. Just wanted to get on the same page w/you.

FYI -- Tim/Nitewing is having some burnt-up modem problems and is working on getting it fixed.

Dave -- please please please (dare I go 'pretty please with sugar on top ... and whipped cream ... and a cherry'?) if it is at all possible for the photo show to tour, can it?

(Another 'please' would be overkill so I won't go there. On second thought, yeah, I will) Please?

LOL! You HAVE to love me. It's actually a law here in New Jersey. Hey! Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

Much love y'all (or to be completely 'Jersey' ... yous guys),

Please let me know.

back from Sam Goody and I am set for Tuesday!

Pony- I got you covered my man. I bought an extra book today since i knew there were some panic agents not being able to go to the signing. Email me your address and I'll ship it out to you once it's signed.

For those of you going to the Sam Goody signing I suggest parking at the Metro station parking on Lankershim and taking the shuttle up to the citywalk. It's free and I think they charge for parking up at Universal city.
The only thing about taking the shuttle up is that it only runs until 7pm.. so afterwards you'll have to take the other shuttle that goes to the Sheriton, or walk back down the hill. It's not that bad of a walk really, if anyone needs directions to the way down give a shout out. I'll have a 6767.com nametag on with my screen name.

Hi Dave & family

Just checkin in to say hi. We've had a big reshuffle at work and now my office is directly overlooked by the MD so now I can only check in from home :O(

There was a brief clip of Dave & Carmen on TMF today, unfortunately it was on a show about stars with bad dress sense! I cursed at the presenter (don't think she heard me though)

Can't wait to hear what Dave thinks of Steve's 'Project p' maybe now Riss has returned he'll finally stop working & get some sleep

Peace out kids

Jezzi - Some somnambulant music - THIS is my forte!
1. Heart - Dog and Butterfly
2. the Association - Never My Love
3. Sarah McLachlan - Train Wreck (trust me, it's not)
4. Billy Joel - New York State of Mind
5. Any Norah Jones song
Any and all will have you sleep walking; or at least walking yourself to sleep.

Lori, OCD - I'm actually quite the opposite and pray for a little OCD every once in a while. I am the antithesis of OCD! Which makes for very messy personal space (I prefer to think of it as creative work area).

Happy days to all. Hope you have an excellent night (or day as it may apply)

Hey all,

Regarding the NYC Oct 21st meetup plans: It's a restaurant, no age limit. As far as the time goes, it's definetly flexible. So if someone can only show up around 6ish, by all means come by and chill. The show doesn't start 'til 7:30 and we'll probably be there til a few minutes before then anyway. Irving Plaza is only 3 or 4 blocks away.

Again, these are only temporary plans because changes will probably be made to suit everyone's needs so we can all meetup at a time and place that's cool for all of us. So far, everyone seems to be cool with Lemon Restaurant (especially with the whole photo booth thing), and the time is definetely flexible. If you can't show up at 5:30/5:45...show up at 6:15/6:30 and hang out for a bit.

Perhaps I'll set up a page on the web with info, suggestions and whatnot by Thursday so there's a focal point for the meetup plans.

Hey Dave and Family!

Yes, as Lori mentioned (Thanks and hugs for that, Lori!), my modem decided to self-destruct the other day... but it's all fixed now and I'm back (crossing my fingers here)...

Emily... Great big hugs to you. If there's anything I can do for you... even just lending an ear... let me know, ok?

Dave... I'm with Lori on this one... If it's possible for the photo show to tour... please, please, please with whipped cream and a cherry (and a steaming hot cup of Starbuck's French Roast)! :D I'd definitely find a way to go...

Also... very happy to hear that the book tour went well and that the book is raising some funds for M.A.P. Very worthy and important cause for sure. I'm still waiting for my copy to get here... might have to light a fire under Amazon's ass tomorrow... LOL

Hope everyone's doing well!

Much love and respect to Dave and the Family!

Hey Emily, my condolences, hopes, and prayers are with you, your family, and your grandmother :) we all are here for you!

Hey Dave, maybe someone already asked you this and I know you're busy with TPC but has producing other artists and bands ever crossed your mind? Your imagination and vision is what in my opinion pop and rock music lacks and definitely needs a jolt of....

-Sean_IX, that sounds absolutely awesome. I'm totally in now if only I can get a ticket...I'll figure that end of the stick out. Hey I was just wondering and not to insult anyone by posting this but I do play guitar, bass, piano, etc and wanted to know if any other person here might be looking into purchasing a bass, I have a mint Fender Jazz Bass and it's got to go cause I need money for those college books and all that nonsense lol.

VERY happy that you're back. Now, come play.

the one thing i'm ocd about is i can't take things from the top or front of a pile or stack...i have...HAVE to take it from the middle...cause thats the one that's been the least touched and the least messed with and prob therefore in the best condition. i can't help it...if i take one from the top/front...i WILL convince myself it's somehow damaged or less than perfect even if it's in perfect condition. i'm also ocd about my cd's...i organize them not alphabetically but genre and then in genre, i order them chronologically...have no clue why. i'm ocd about a lot

thank you all for your continuing best wishes. today i'm doing much better than yesterday...much much better...it was just hard when friends called to wish me a happy birthday and then asked "so what are you doing for your birthday?" lol...i can kind of laugh at that now...my family is all around me...and the "family" here is all around me...so i'll be alright :-)...thank you all once again...i love you guys and this site so much :-D.

Ok I don't think this is really OCD but my thing with CD's is also not alphabetically but by genre and then which bands share members and which bands toured with each other and then chronologically. So yes JA sits next to RHCP but then I have to think about who played lollapalloza which year and first tour comes before next and then in order which the album came and then...well I start sounding like John Cusack in that movie about the record store and ...oh screw it.

Posted by: Shane at October 10, 2004 06:33 PM

Hey Dave,

After reading your book, i noticed something...

you're a very VERY deep-thinker. Your book is done so well that i think you should consider writing more. Now, i know what you will say...

"what do i have to say?" or "what do i have to offer?"

Well, have you ever read any of Henry Rollins' books? He releases them at least once every year or 2 on his own imprint. It is nothing more than his journals, published for all to see what goes on in his head. For all the time you put into this website, you could be writing down your daily thoughts and publishing them once a year.

i think you should consider it. It's not so much that i (and others) want to invade your privacy, as i believe you have alot to offer due to all your experiences. Give it some thought man. You have alot more to offer than just your music. You are operating with a highly advanced mind that has seen and done alot of living. Your daily writings could be of great service to people looking for help/comfort in THEIR times of trouble. Plus, it will be a sort of therepy for you to write it down, and get it out for good.

Let me know what you think,

-- Joe --

What am I OCD about??? Pretty much everything. I'm a neat freak, so I don't know what possessed me to get black wall to wall carpet. I love it, but it shows every fuzzle, and that annoys me... so I vacuum everyday no matter what. Also, as far as money facing the same way and being categorized by denomination... I can add to that. I like everything facing the same direction, including the clothes in my closet, books on the bookshelf, cds, dvds, you name it.

My 19 month old daughter does not like this, and is dedicated to destroying any and all signs of organization with a vengence, through a daily "Wrecking Rampage." :)

I don't know who came up with this, but I once read somewhere that the difference between being OCD and being organized is the amount of time spent on the compulsive behaviors per day. More than 20 minutes per day, and it's OCD. Less, and you're just an organized person. I guess I'm teetering on the edge.

Spreading the love,
Deena

Lori... you KNOW I'd never turn down a tacklehugroll, right? Even a virtual one... :D

Ok... OCD stuff? A couple of things for me. Money... all my paper money has to be in denominational order, facing the same way, and all the creases smoothed out.

CDs, audio tapes and vinyl albums/45's (yeah... I still have vinyl... LOL) Grouped by artist... in chronological order within each artist... then arranged from most played down to least played.

And then I've got this thing about double and even triple checking to make sure I haven't left a burning cigarette in an ashtray and that the coffee pot has been turned off before I leave... but that might just be paranoia...

So there you have it...

Much love and respect to Dave and the Family!

Peace,

These threads are too long to read all of them so if this has already been asked, I appologize. Dave, who is the guy that is in different photos all through your book, but he has the same expression in all four shots of each sitting?

Hi Sean,

Thanks for the info about the Lemon Restaurant.

As I was reading the address, it looked so familiar. 230 Park Avenue is the Helmsley Building, I used to work their many years ago. 230 Park Avenue is actually located in the 40s.

The Lemon Restaurant is on 230 Park Avenue SOUTH. This city can be VERY confusing~~! :)

Just thought I'd post that info for the people who might be coming in from other areas & aren't all that familiar with the duplicate addresses in NYC.

Hope to see you there~~!

Itanja, you are a saviour! Thanks for pointing that out! And to think, I've lived in NYC all my life and never realized there was a Park Avenue and a Park Avenue South! Learn something new everyday I suppose.

Anyways, I think it's time for me to get some sleep, I've been on this computer all night finishing up the design for my site....agh, my eyes are going fall out of my head.

Goodnight all! This place truly defines community, all of you rock!

To sleep, perchance to dream ... maybe about John Cusack standing outside my window holding a boom box over his head.

*sighs all sappy* Yeah, now THERE'S a good dream right thar.

Night all!

... since I won't be on in the morning ... may I be the first to say Happy Monday! LMAO - why does that just not sound right?

Hi Dave & family

Gotta ask this: Are you and Perry in the party vocals on Uplift Mofo Party Plan? In the song Organic Anti-Beat Box Band? 'Cause i was just thinking, it says that the voices are.... , Dave, Perry, ....

?

I'm with Deena, EVERYTHING has to be facing the same direction...I've even caught myself shopping and fixing the clothes misplaced on the rack! I also like to fold everything...even dirty clothes usually get folded before they are thrown (and subsequently i suspect become unfolded) into the hamper. The closet and shoes are all organized by style and color...only when I list this stuff out do I feel that it may actually be strange! lol

* VEGAS * VEGAS * VEGAS *
This time next week I'll be in Vegas, never been to the States! Any recommendations? Clubs? Music stores? Clothes stores? Guitar stores? What to see? What to miss?
Questions, questions, questions!

Lori...I AM SO SORRY! I guess when I'm stressed and in a hurry, not only can't I type, I don't even know who I am!

That was my post about my Grandma breaking her hip...I don't know how but I must have somehow put your name on it....I really apologize...it was unintentional.

Anyway...off to the hospital...Grandma's surgery is early this morning...she is almost 90 years old so I am very, very concerned about how well she'll get through this.

Anyway...love to Dave and the family...have a peaceful Monday.

Signed...CORI (not Lori) lol

The best honor that can be bestowed on Chris Reeve is to support the research that he so desparately wanted funded. Think about that at election time. Support all forms of stem cell research. Vote for John Kerry.

Itanja...my thoughts are with you today, too. ((((Hugs))))

OK...I'm officially late...bye!

Good morning all!

Ok, so much for not being here in the morning. LOL! I couldn't help it cause I just have to share.

My alarm was going off; and, as I'm coming up out of sleep, I hear people talking on my local radio station (WPST 97.5 Trenton, NJ). My first conscious thought is "Hey. That sounds like Dave."

Moments later ... I realized it WAS Dave!

What a great way to wake up; and, on a Monday and everything.

It's 7:29 a.m. EST and my day has already been made.

Last night I said that "Happy Monday" didn't sound right. Dave, really, going to these lengths to show me the error of my ways is appreciated; but, unecessary. LOL j/k

Have an AWESOME Monday!

Much love and respect,
~~ Lori

P.S. - I'd comment about the content of the call-in and all that; but, I just woke up and well ... stupido me felt it made more sense to do this THEN go pee. O.M.G. was that a bad idea ... later

Sleep in Peace, Superman . . . .

RIP Superman

Is it me, or is it horribly ironic for Christopher Reeve to have died at age 52? I mean, he was Superman. His accident in '95 was tragic enough, but to find out that Superman couldn't recover, lived almost 10 years beyond the paralyzing accident, only to die from an infection that recently set in... it just seems so unfair.

He and his wife live in my hometown, and I went to their tag sale a few years back (yes, Superman has tag sales). They were both so gracious and friendly... so normal. I found it a little heartwrenching to look at this man I had grown up seeing on larger-than-life screens, flying and saving people's lives, in a wheelchair with limited ability to move even his face. I have immense respect for his wife, Dana, who showed steadfast loyalty to her husband throughout the last nine years.

Well, like I said at the beginning of my post, RIP Superman. Sadly, he is proof that reality has an edge up on fiction.

And that brings me to my awful segue into a few questions for all of you about reality TV: How many of you are reality TV addicts? Which ones do you watch? Do you think of it as real reality, or have we just been watching a phenomenon called "camera reality?" If stranded on a desert island after a 3-hour tour, and there were two things with you, the first season of the X-Files on DVD and a DVD of the first season of Survivor, which would you choose to watch? (Ok, the island comes fully-equipped with an entertainment system.) Thank you for taking part in my sociological experiment. :-)

Christopher Reeve died??! Wow. I had no idea. I just read the morning paper, and there was nothing there about it. How sad!

On another note, I guess we're all sharing "OCD" stories. I wouldn't really put myself in that category in general, although I AM that way about certain things. Some pillows, candles, or other decorative things in my home HAVE to be arranged in particular ways, for instance. But then there are other things that may be out-of-place, which don't bother me as much. I can easily ignore them.

One thing I'm definitely "OCD" about my looks/hair/clothes (like most women). Everything has to be a certain way before I truly feel comfortable enough to be seen in public. If I don't have jewelry on, or at least a tiny bit of makeup, I feel naked. Another thing: I CAN'T combine silver and gold jewelry, or jewelry with different stones. They have to be in the same motif. And the pocketbook HAS to match the shoes; or at least some part of the outfit. Otherwise, I get agita and feel like everything is "off" in my world.

So I guess there's a little bit of that in all of us!

Speaking of that kind of stuff, I'm now about to sped the day getting my house in order. Annoying, but rewarding in the long run!

Cheers/love,

-Denise

CORI>>>>>You know, everything I say to Lori, I say to you!! I knew it was a girl I loved!!

Zingale....I totally agree with your sentiment, like with anyone else we care about who leaves our lives, the hole can best be filled by spending some time to think about what THEY cared about....In Mr. Reeve's case, it was finding a way for those who couldn't walk to get up again,if stem cell research is a path to that direction, we would do well to show our appreciation for him by our support of the science that would have reversed the damage.

To everyone else....good morning!! How many of you watched Celebrity Poker Showdown? I am strangely attracted to Chris Meloni, or is it just a manifestation of recent 'hat' fetish, because that redhead guy was pretty cute, too! And Sarah? Well, that's all I have to say about that

Shane, don't know if enyone told you this already, but "...well I start sounding like John Cusack in that movie about the record store and ...oh screw it." is High Fidelity.

...i tried to order my records in cronocle order, just like in the movie (and the book), but i failed.
