Okay..I know everyone is dying to know the answer to this question. (Or maybe it was answered and I just missed it) Even though the venue that the show is going to be at has a "21 and over" age requirement....
there are a lot of fans who are under 21. Will the ones over 18 but under 21 still be able to get in? Could special wrist bands be issued or something?
Posted by: Bettina at September 21, 2004 12:10 PM
I'm down from SF.
Hope I can get in>
See all you agents tonight!
Posted by: Saraswati at September 21, 2004 12:10 PM
Actually, isn't the reference to 21 as in today's date?
Posted by: aj at September 21, 2004 12:26 PM
Dave!
Is someone going to record the show? I'm not going to be able to make it (from Chicago), but I'd love to suck up some extra bandwidth and download it! Any chance?!

19 and 20 are such horrible ages to be...
Posted by: linda at September 21, 2004 12:42 PM
Is it just me, or has anyone else had to stifle the insane, yet incredibly powerful urge to book a last-minute flight to Cali?
Sucks to be in Utah right now.
Have fun, everyone!

For all the people wondering if tonight's show is 21+ or not, I called the Dragonfly and they said that it was (I have no clue how strict they are at enforcing that though. Sucks to be young in LA). Good luck to Dave and the band! and to all who go, have fun and be sure to let everyone else know how it went!!

I'm so excited. I just purchased a digital camera during my lunch break so I can share pictures. I spent 100 dollars more than I had so I couldn't get the extra memory card but for sure I'll take and share at least 17 pics. I'm so excited only a few more hours to go. Maybe my boss will bring me an extra memory card. One could always hope.

Yeah, thanks scott...i was just f'n around... wow how horrible would it be if they were called The Drapes hahaha...Thing's must be pretty good when you have to play your FIRST show under an assumed name ha... So far i like the vibe over here alot... the whole Jane's "fam" had gotten so bitter in recent years. People became more concerned with who had/knew/did what, then they were with the music, which was the exact opposite of how thing's were meant to be... there wasn't that tribal vibe that Jane's had way back when, hopefully something completely organic like TPC will bring that back...i love how they're stressing community and everyone just being cool to one another... I've talked to Dave often, and met Perkin's (albeit briefly), and as their communication with us proves, they are two of the most gracious and genuine PEOPLE you could come in contact with...and we're blessed to be fan's of their's... (i'm sure CC and Spooky are of the same nature, just haven't come upon their acquaintance YET ;)
Peace

it would be great if someone recorded it or took pictures, even filmed it.
Posted by: Jess at September 22, 2004 12:56 AM
ok i write this half drunk - but yeah - the set kicked ass...i dont know any of the songs they played (even though i played the quicktimes today to get more of a feel) - all i remember was steve talking about some drug dealer named mary - and i couldnt hear shit that steve and dave were saying to each other on stage (this was whiler speaking into the mics) - but it was one of those shows were even if you didnt know how the song was gonna flow - you still could anticipate it - and go along with it - for all you people who missed it - big time sorry...ok my ears are ringings...bye
Posted by: dan at September 22, 2004 12:58 AM
OMG!!!! my camera is tellin me I took 60 pictures!!!! I thought I only took about 30...lol. They are downloading now, any of the ones that come out ok I will put on my website.
The music was awesome! During the one slow song when dave was sitting down to play, I kept seeing him try to leap out of the chair and play harder! Dave, you're soooo funny!
Posted by: Abby at September 22, 2004 01:01 AM
ears ringing... ok good, that means dave did his job.
its not rock until your ears start bleeding...
you know who
