Ten

Sticker_final1. What kind of practice schedule do you guys have for Camp Freddy? I can imagine it is hard to find time to jam between your own bands and busy schedules. Do you guys just know the songs so well that you can just play them at the drop of a hat?

We usually just rehearse once the day before a gig.

2. That is the coolest photo ive seen of you this year, im guessing your trying to get you use out of your chrome heart trousers considering what they are worth as they are on you in nearly every picture you are in.

You got that right!

3. Cheesy question of the day: Dave, are those "hazel" eyes?

They are.

4. my friend thinks that famous users have nutritionist to help you look healthy.

Untrue.

5. FYI - you can see your chest-hair stubble in that pic. Remember, "trim before take shirt off."

Thank you for the tip!

6. Dave, i have to ask. is there a rock band in the world that You think is awful, that just sucks? and can You name one guitar player who is popular and You think he shouldn't be cause in Your opinion he plays really bad? please, answer this one cause i'm getting worry that You like everone and everything and i think that it's just impossible...

I don't like everything, but I don't hate anything. It's not worth the mental space in my head. I just try to speak positively about people or not at all.

7. Dave....will we be able to get any more sneak peeks of TPC before the show???

I don't think so, but we will for sure video the show and upload some stuff for those who cannot attend.

8. also, have you heard about the love and rockets reunion tour? rumors had it that you were playing with them. that would be amazing.

As amazing as that would be, it is unfortunately, untrue.

9. Dave are you going to spring this last bit of info on us last minute...
or for us outa towners could you give us some time to make plans to try to get there?

The will be a heads up a day before for those that are signed up on the mailing list and the Agents.

10. Are you guys gonna use some of the submitted Panic Channel artwork for shirts and other merchandise? There is alot of really good pics that people have made.

Good idea. The only problem is compensation and copyright issues. Something to address when we get further down the line. I had hoped to include some of them in the album art.

Hey Dave, I just wanted to say that I love this site and I think it's so awesome that you communicate with fans like this. I also wanted to ask if you have told friends/musical peers about the online collaboration going on here and what their thoughts on it are?

And to everyone out there who has contributed to that or to the site with their art work I just have to say that you're all amazing!

Tex, my soul sista, see, we are right again!

Dave, look for the girl with the red hair and hazel eyes, still looking strangely out of place at the TPC show....

to my new friend from Fontana....Let's Roll!!

and Freak, please get that agent info out ASAP, time is of the essence

Dave, how many songs have you guys written together? Are you only playing TPC songs at the upcoming show? Love the sight and everything about it. How do you become an agent?

To everyone.. Re my post from earlier today regarding my new (first) inks.

I SURVIVED!!

Wasn't at all what I figured (the pain.. what pain??.. ok maybe a little irratation, but feels like a bad sunburn under the bandage right now).

Tex or anybody for that matter.. if you are thinking about getting a tattoo, thinking about it at all, it may well come to pass that you WILL get the tattoo done. My advice to anyone is to read up on it.. Check the net, check forums (if possible) for experiences with tattoos from the place you are considering. ASK QUESTIONS.. any concerns can be answered over the phone or in person. I don't think, in general, the experience is as bad as people generally make it out to be. I'm no expert in the matter and everyone will have different tolerences of the pain/irratation. it's not really that bad.

I'll have pics posted somewhere, at some point in the near future, I hope. I forgot to take my camera so these pics will be a day old, but will still be good.

Peace and Respect, as always.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to say that I am willing to do a caravan for the norther Cali Agents. I wanna go to the secret show but not by myself. Is anyone game to gt it up with me. Email me so we can talk about it. Have a groovy day everyone.
Love, Agent Sassy

This is a follow up to the question of mine you answered in this post.

It does make sense that you would not be able to use some of the submitted work for your merchandise, but what about from those who are willing to give you guys permission to use it? I know they may not be making any money from it, but perhaps you could send them a free shirt or something with their artwork on it. There is just so much good stuff that all these people have made(i.e. todays pic is super cool).

hey Dave, hey everyone, dunno bout anyone else but jus to see our art on tshirts or the album would be payment enuff, that would truly be a thrill...
BH,as far as tats and pain,it really depends on a few things, your personal tolerance level for pain,Ive personally seen big badass biker dudes hit the floor fainting, puking, etc, and lil tiny girls take hrs of ink, without battin an eyelash...and where the tat is being inked on your bod..Some places jus hurt more than others, specifically those with less padding(body fat). The closer to the bone the more the needle seems to vibrate,etc..Glad u had a really good first experience though, lookin forward to seein it :o) Steph

skot: Check it - we're WAY ahead of the curve in terms of the shirt idea. Everyone else is on board, and Dave already seized on it too. Fundraiser idea if we can get the copyright junk worked out-we as a community pick the beneficiary. Not for profit vs. commercialization I think will make a big difference. I'll find out what I can.

Jezzi: BIG thanks :))) and I can't wait to see what you come back with. Take lots of pics too.

Dave, since you went to Nascar and experienced it, what do you think the attraction to it is? An excuse to get wasted? Thinking someone might die? (Reminds me of Deputy Junior of RENO 911).. seriously, the race does not need to go on for hours and hours.

hey dave and the gang,

Posted by: Mark Cole at September 14, 2004 03:55 PM

Dave... sorry to repeat questions... I posted this a few days ago, and I'm posting again cuz I'm curious to know...

"Someone mentioned a Janes Addiction bootleg. I'm curious to know, Dave.. how do you feel about bootleg? Obviously, many artists feel strongly that it's thievery. I don't argue that, but as a fan, it's so hard to resist the bootleg temptation when you're hungry for whatever recording you can get. Just curious to know what your take is on it"

Thanks!

Dave

I was wondering which tat you have hurt the most?

Also what is in the middle of the symbols on your elbows? I have basically the same tat on my right elbow (I was into Crowley for a spell) except I had some tribal stuff power shaded in around it getting daker as it spirals out form it.

Posted by: dozzo at September 14, 2004 04:52 PM

haha i'm loving the ghettoness of this. I have no software at all to use to play around with the loops and Shoot, so I really can't do much but submit simple recordings to those who can tweak it.

Since this is the first time I've come accross any type of songwriting, I was wondering what is Shoot exactly? Or maybe I should ask what do the contributors want it to be? At the moment it sounds like a mix that goes all over the place. If it is going to be a song (a rock one) by definition, I would structure it to fit a 1st verse, chorus, 2nd verse, chorus, 3rd verse, chorus/end pattern. Maybe that's the plan and how it will turn out in the end?
My questions might seem silly to some, but as I said I have never witnessed or been a part of any music writing, all I've done is read and played/sang music. I'm really curious though, and would like to get into it.

hey, if the panic channel ever does an acoustic album (hey, maybe you'll be around that long) then you should use that picture of the TPC logo in the sand (im sorry, i forgot who did it, but i absolutely loved the wotrk!) for the cover. dont you think that would be perfect? i know this will be forgotten by dave and everyone else within 2 minutes, but i just had to post the idea, i really loved the way that pic turned out, it was beautiful.

Dave

I am starting to think the guys from Buckcherry are not some of your fave people. Except Josh Todd of course since I read your looking to have him do some vocals for CF. Did you ever bump heads with any of the guys or maybe simply just don't care for any of em? I have asked a few Buckcherry questions the passed couple of months and never heard anything back. I know your a very positive person & don't like speaking negative about anyone so I was just wondering.........but than again perhaps you were just busy :)

Thanks!

Maria~
I tried to get some lyrics, and a song, or a few going to SHOOT as well.
That was a while ago, when I first heard it, and I liked it, and FreAk said hey everyone give it a go on here.
So I thought, hey why not? I was doing the same thing, and had the same problem with structure, like you said with the regular rock pattern..I was like, okay, Intro, Verse 1, Verse 2, Chorus (or "hook" as my old guitar teacher kept calling it) Verse 3, Chorus,
Solo, and so on, and variations, but found myself loosing the pattern. I noted it all down somewhere. I'll have to search for it. Even attempted some funky singing along instead of the rock pattern, now that was funny! :D Okay, well I did have fun doing that at least!
I too don't have protools, or any professional stuff to record etc on the computer.

FreAk, maybe you can help me and Maria, and others out a bit with all that?
Mostly the structure I guess! or Kyle, maybe you can too please?

FreAk (and Dave, Billy M).~Just listened to you calling into the CF show, great stuff. Loved it. Made me smile.

Also, I had asked on your forum if you had a concept you were aiming for or thinking about for SHOOT.
Is there a concept? I know you said a bit about it. Still got an idea for short video.
(at least in my mind's eye) I was going to email you about it, then you were away for a bit.

Love to all,
Lisa

I know what it was though, I couldn't get the Nine Inch Nails song out of my head, Down In It, and the words were like that but not as clever as Trent.

I bet your Sock you in the eye fits to Down In It too...yep, it does...just sang it like that.

heLLo,

******To Ylais and Maria:

Of course you can still give it a go on ShooT, you're more than welcome to.
As far as the structure is concerned, we're not looking at a conventional structure here (tho you can clearly see the intro/Verse/Interlude/outro w/Dave's solo).
So of course it's a democracy here, and if all you want to make it like a rock song with a basic structure, then it will be. But so far, all the feedback we're having, has been more than warm about it.

Later this week or next week, the version will be updated with Kyle's vocals and the chickBassPlayer's bass, then probably Dave's solo. So I would propose you wait for that version before jumping in it. It will give you a better idea.
Then after, anything you can record from you, that would fit on the song is perfect! I'll help all you on any aspects of the recording.
The best is to email me or leave a post on the other forum (FreAk), and I'll get back to you asap.

Enjoy!

She made me give up Crest!!! I love her!
But, must admit, finally in public, my strange but serious attraction to.......Toby?
Something about passionate sadness
Good morning Dave, now, back to Ani?
My all time favorite is Untouchable Face

Good Morning Perth, it's 6 am here in Cali...off I go to try not to seriously damage our youth:)

Morning Dave and Family!

Dave... about the art... if you like any of mine enough to use it, I'd certainly have no objections. As far as compensation goes, the suggestion about a free t-shirt with the art on it sounds cool... or even just a shout-out from the band or a chance to meet you would be compensation enough.

To any of the family in the path of Ivan... be safe, be careful, and let us know you're ok!

Ok... It's 9AM here and my sleep was interrupted three hours ago, so I'm gonna go put my sleep-deprived self back to bed and see if I can get back to sleep. Have a great day everyone!

Much love and respect to Dave and the Family!

Peace,
Tim/Panic Agent Nitewing

Hey! Blue eyes indicate deep, sage souls, yes? So lemme be the first to speak up for us blue eyed members of the family. *blinks coquettishly*

Skot-we started a big idea you stud! Nitewing has said he doesn't mind if his art is used for a shirt, and it occurs that someone else (Abby?) had a tshirt made and we saw the pic. Not sure if if was her art or not. ahead of the curve=thinking ahead of the rest of the crowd=us.

Jezzi-Toby!? You're scaring me princess.

FreAk~I do love the song. I was saying it was me who was having trouble, and I lack
experience at putting words to music.

Hello Dave & Family,

I've been a "lurker" for a long time and have wanted to reply so many times in the past; however, alas, this is my first post. The trivia gets me every time!

Ceechica - the green eyed lady song is by the Guess Who.

I also "serve at the pleasure of the president" and had hoped that Ainsley and Sam would have developed a "love interest."

Dave, thanks for the site. It always makes my day at work a little more interesting here in little Rhody.

Who sang that greeneyed lady song?
Sugarloaf, not just a band, but a damm fine vacation spot!

Tex, don't be a hater, I love ALL men, in some fashion..Besides, Richard Schiff is married to Sheila Kelly, another redheaded babe who does pole-dancing...there must be something there, lol

Blue eyes...hmm, my boy has a beautiful pair of his own, I am reminded of a scene from Kill Bill, anyone care to play? Something about 'your beautiful blue EYE'

ok, I am supposed to be correlating data right now, yawn..everyone look natural

Cheesy question of the day--What Cd is in your car stereo right now?

Posted by: jezebel at September 15, 2004 07:56 AM

I've been watching the Doheny video, and the Dave videos from Pony's website.
Pony~do you want feedback posted on your site about the Doheny video?
I keep watching it, so that must be a good thing! :D
One part I love is at the beginning when the girl is riding in the car, then it flashes to the band, all in Black and White, then it turns to colour exactly when the song gets "harder".

Dave~how did you manage to steal the show when you played on the MTV awards last year with Christina Aguilera in Dirty? Man, that is quite something!!!

Love to all
Lisa
