Hey Dave. Wish I could get to a CF show, but I am way up here in Canada. Still waiting for your book and a new CD. Any idea on when the CF CD will be out or a PC CD? Also on a personal note I think you're F'N Great, but I would love to hear your opinion on Jeff Beck? I have got a collection of quotes on him from other great artist such as yourself.
Peace & love to all

heLLo,

Downloading the clips now...! Can't wait to hear/see that!

And...."ShooT" is ready to be unveilled really really soon....The vocals and Bass are now processed and being mixed. A preMix version will be uploaded soon, so we can have some sort of feedback about the mix, before the final the final version is sent to Mr Navarro. (bear in mind that the sound will differ depending on your stereo/equipement. And a good mix should sound on every piece of equipement. So listen to it in your car, bathroom, good stereo, small stereo, walkman, etc..! lol)

Thanx already to Kyle for his nice vocal work, ChickBass player for the killing bass, and Saraswati for the loop.

Enjoy!

So, last night I'm flipping the channels and wiping the flod of tears after watching the season premiere of "Extreme Makeover, Home Edition" (if you only have two channels, can you actually refer to that as 'flipping'? LOL) .. anyway, as soon as I switch to Fox, the very pretty woman on tv introduces Usher, with Dave Navarro on guitar! Hmmm... coincidence or divine intervention? I'm partial to the latter.

Dave, you looked hot and, strangely enough, the both of you looked 'right' sharing the stage. [side note: Oddly enough, Avril Lavigne and the GooGoo Dolls looked (and sounded) a bit mismatched.] I just wish they would have used your full guitar playing skills ... at any rate, you looked and sounded hot. I do like the hat ... adds to the flavor.

Posted by: tiare at September 27, 2004 10:53 AM

"So, last night I'm flipping the channels and wiping the flod of tears"

ummm... that should be "flood", not "flod" ... *smacks the spell checker*

LOL

Sorry for the repost but I am really going insane to try to figure this out

Anyone have any idea who this might be?

I just have to say that Scott is definitely my favorite frontman. I wish I could have gone to the HOB show. Instead I decided to not try to sneak in and save myself the struggle and embarrassment and go for a 24 hour non stop blackjack run at Morongo. (I didn't know I was going to be there for 24 hours) 99% of the time I spent chasing my money and at the end of the 24 hours I came up 300. I would have been there longer and tried to make more money but I had to work the next day. It would have been so much better and less exhausting seeing Scott and Camp Freddy. I can't believe it, most of my favorite musicians under one roof. I had a feeling that the VR guys would be there. Rrr I’m still too tired.

Hello Everybody:
It's been a few days since I have checked back. I wanted to say good morning to all, and of course the always lovely and fabulous (Panic Channel Ladies.) As per my last post. Guitar Center was a blast. Found a nice PRS and played a few songs (played the whole Warped song-solo and all.) I have noticed a trend here at GC. A strange realization that all the high end PRS guitars seemed to have crept up to those inaccessible wall hangers, out of reach kind of thing going on here. Am I bitter...maybe? However, I guess if Paul Reed Smith himself knew how many guitars I have tried out he would probably have me banned from GC. Rationalization to myself-Maybe, I'm breaking them in for would be buyers? So this leads me to my point here which I have pondered greatly in the past few days.........

"Post Panic Channel Show Syndrome."

I swear I have it!!!! I know people are probably on the same wave lenght here. I'm sure I wasn't the only one thinking about this-this weekend. What to do? Woke up Staurday and went surfing-no waves. I then went to a guitar show in Del Mar. Would have been fun if I had like thousands of dollars and unlimited credit? Left disapointed. Purchase of the day "A chicken head knob for my amp at $2.50 LOL!!! Decided to do menial chores like laundry, house cleaning, and worked on my truck. Outside, I started working on my front yeard, a never ending task. Much to my surprise the crazy neighbors on the corner that plays unbearable music and I do mean unbearable music, to my delight plays a surprisely good mix of The Cult and Balck Sabbath, I threw in the towel and gave it up when Linkin Park came on. So to fill the void I played my old Deconstruction cd. So what am I supposed to do? I have to keep myself occupied but gardening/chores/house work isn't cutting it. Any ideas here people? Should we step up this web site, start a new project here?

Abby: Your last post- I have the utmost respect for you! SW and the Disability field!. It isn't easy, not the most finacially rewarding, but you change people's lives!

Jezzi: Congrats on the guitar. I knew you were going to get that thing. You should take it to the Ibanez Custom Shop (If it's still there) and have it repaired.

To everybody else I hope you are doing well.

All the pics are great!
That third one with Dave, Chris, Matt and Scott is especially cool. I wonder what song that was.
Cantrell almost looks like Hetfield in the first one.
Thanks for sharing Dave

Posted by: ONEIDAfish at September 27, 2004 12:20 PM

Brett, you stud :)
that wasn't me with the guitar, I have my own...it will be auctioned on ebay at the time of my DEATH!!!!

that was me quoting somebody who got a guitar on ebay, I was sorely misinformed about people's reasonings for buying artists'personal effects, but Chantelle and others have shown me the light

I will say, I still disagree with not giving the artist his due for at least the first printing

... for now, how about a project where there are more options for posters, such as changing fonts when you are quoting someone....

As far as the post-panic depression syndrome, I am feeling you, man, I believe the only cure is for us all to hook up for CF in October, are you with me, you'll be pleasantly surprised by guy to girl ratio...

Hi,

I suppose this isn't really the purpose of this forum, however, it seems there are a lot of musicians here & I'm kind of in a bind.

I am looking for 2 rock or alternative rock bands to play the Orange Bear in Manhattan this Saturday evening October 2nd. The open slots are at 10pm & 12am. The set would be 45 minutes long.

I've been booking a whole night of music when my band Ointment plays in an effort to have some quality control and keep people in the bar all night enjoying music & drinking - as opposed to what normally happens in NYC, where the norm is for a bands audience to leave after the band they have come to see plays. My band Ointment plays alternative rock and will be playing at 11pm. Unfortunately, the other two bands on the bill for Saturday ended up canceling this time around.

The bands get the $5 take on the door for the people who show up to see them and the bar gets the booze money. I have played many bars in NYC and have always done well at the Orange Bear. The Orange Bear is downtown at 47 Murray Street, which is near City Hall. You can take the N or R to City Hall or the 1 or 9 to Chambers St to get to the Orange Bear. The Orange Bear
provides the PA, mikes, guitar & bass amps, and a basic drum kit - although the drummer should bring hardware & probably cymbals.

You can check out some live versions of our tunes at:

http://www.sonicbids.com/Ointment

If there are any bands in NYC that would like to play this gig, please contact me via email at: lusciouslenny@mad.scientist.com

Of course, anyone who is in the NYC area is invited to attend. Feel free to send me any feedback you may have if you listen to the live tunes as well.

thanks,
Lenny

Hi Ellen ,

Thanks for the LINKS for ordering the CF tickets. I would like to go to the CF/Vanity Fair show & meet you guys etc, but the links are useless as far as currently being able to order any tickets.

I don't know HOW, WHERE & WHEN you got your tickets but they are NOT currently on sale.

There IS an Internet PASSWORD PRESALE going on for 'SPECIAL INSIDER PEOPLE'(??) with PASSWORDS??!! Without that Password.....forget it.

This is OF COURSE....total bullshit! First the tickets were on sale...then they went OFF SALE, now the FANS need a PASSWORD to buy them?? WHY is this going on??

I was online at EXACTLY 12:01AM last night, only to find out about needing this ELUSIVE PASSWORD!

Here's what I posted last night:
"Hi,

Wondering if anyone else is having trouble purchasing the NYC Camp Freddy tickets online??

I went to the Ticketmaster site, found the Camp Freddy listing & clicked on the 'Find Tickets'.
On the listing page, this was the only info I found:

Internet Onsale Info
Onsale to General Public:
Wed, 09/29/04 12:00 PM
Internet Presale Info

PASSWORD PRESALE:
Start: Mon, 09/27/04 12:01 AM
End: Tue, 09/28/04 11:59 PM

Seems I need a PASSWORD to buy these tickets!!?? Even I had one, there is NO SPACE to type it in! This is just the usual insanity they put fans through, just to buy tickets.

I DID find this very....ahem... 'helpful' info at the Ticketmaster site. MORE double talk keeping tickets AWAY from the fans!

"What is an Internet Presale?
Occasionally, some events will be available to purchase over the Internet in advance of the general public onsale. These presales frequently require a password that may be distributed by the venue, artist, team, or promoter of either the event or the presale, or distributed by Ticketmaster.

Often, these passwords are distributed to exclusive members of clubs or certain other types of groups and cannot be offered to members of the public. Links may be published on the Event Information page at the time of presale. Ticketmaster charge-by-phone and Customer Service representatives usually cannot give out passwords.

If an event is scheduled for presale and we are authorized to publish so in advance, the event page may list an "Internet Presale" date in the ticket onsale information. When entering your presale password, please ensure you are entering it in the appropriate box: A presale password is not the same as your My Account password." NO KIDDING!

Excuse my ignorance about any of this, I haven't purchased tickets online for many years.

Well, if anyone in the NYC area has this 'special' password, where to type this password on the page or TWO extra tickets...ANY info would be greatly appreciated!
Please email me with any information.

If not, have a great time at the NYC CF gig! :(

thanks!
itanja"

OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!! guess what people: i was just listening to our local radio station for modern rock/ alternative music, and they mentioned the panic channel! the announcer said something to the effects of this:

"Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins, and Chris Chaney, basically everybody who was in Jane's Addiction other than Perry, have decided on a name for their new project. It's called The Panic Channel. And who's going to be singing for this new band, you may ask? well, it's Steve Isaacs, the old MTV VJ and from Skycycle. They made their debut last week at the Dragonfly club in L.A. blah blah blah" then he read a quote from this site.

i couldnt believe i heard this on the little itty bitty missoula, montana radio station! of course, all of us know about this stuff, but i pronounce the word about TPC has offically gotten out. Once it hits montana radio stations, then it has reached quite a ways.

Anyway, I just thought i'd share that with you guys.

YOU HAVE OFFICIALLY ARRIVED!!!

Dave!
Im a DJ on the biggest Rock Station in New Zealand, I do the midday show www.therock.net.nz/TRACEY.aspx (my email is on my webpage there) and we play tons of Chili's / Addiction etc, you are a big star down here. The Til Death Do Us Part show has just started in NZ and I'd love to do a 'really-quick-little' interview with you, you're all over the press down here and the timing would be brilliant. Hope to hear from you...

By The Way, Dave...

My friend told me today that you wrote for a magazine. I know that you used to write for Bikini magazine (I think that was it) with your cousin and all, but I obviously don't know of any current magazines you write for... I don't think that you would keep it from the 6767 family, but, you know... just askin'

as dave says, it's all good : )

Hey Davo,
Any chance you and your fabulous new group may make it down to Australia anytime soon? Maybe kick off with the Big Day Out 2005? Seeing Jane's at Perth 2003 BDO was one of the highlights of my life, but today is a new day! Peace out brother and good luck with the rocking.

Hey Fam,

Well Whitepony your Q about the tattoo has got me wondering as well, as I think I know the tat that you are talking about or it seems familiar. At first I was thinking Robbie Williams I don't know why but he seems to come to mind. Its now bugging me also so if you find out let me know :)

Happy Birthday Emma!

Freak can't wait to hear the evolution of the track Shoot, where will we be able to pre-view on your site?

DavegEFOW hope the driving test went ok for you.

Dave, if you guys do decide to do a gig in Europe I'm guessing that the Uk would be a fave choice, can you please let the Panic Agents know a little in advance of that gig as to the where and the when as a few of us will have to travel from mainland Europe, myself I am in Holland, I think Astrid is too, Freak is in France and the list goes on, so we would need time to book flights or alternatively you could always come play here in Amsterdam also :)

Enough of my ramblings
Have a great day everyone,

Kirsty x

Hey Dave and all!

Great pics! I bet it was whole lotta fun.

I was actually going to ask you last week whether you had ever worked with Scott Weiland but I guess it better now to ask what's he like to work with?

I saw Scott do a kickass version of "Bodies" with VR in Helsinki couple of weeks ago and I must say I was very impressed.

Then a lame question... Are you gonna read Bob Dylan's Chronicles, Vol. 1 that's coming out next week?

Dunno where I pull these Q's from, and on second thought, I don't even wanna know... Neither do you!

Hey Dave.
Call me crazy but isn't doing a gig hard, hot and sweaty enough without wearing leather pants?
I mean, what is with that?
Are you crazy too?

lol

Love as always

Well I was correct when I thought it was Ian Watkins from the lostprophets, but I can't seem to find any pictures of this. If anyone has any or knows any good Lostprophets sites please let me know.
