Agency Artwork
Agency Artwork is up! Thank you all for your submissions...
1. When will you start another solo project??
Not for some time, as my plate is really full right now with The Panic Channel and Camp Freddy. I do, of course, plan to do it, I just don't know when.
2. The CFR show this past Saturday was a real laugh fest. Is there a chance of it ever going into syndication?
We would love that, but the matter has yet to come up.
3. I read in a post at MTV or something you'd like to get Josh Todd to come and sing on the CF album. What did you think of his solo album?
Josh is great. I think his solo record is awesome.
4. Do you still speak with LD?
Yes, I do. She is currently moving to the East Coast.
5. WHERE DO YOUR GET YOUR INSPIRATION FROM TO CREATE SUCH AMAZING PIECES OF MUSIC?
I just draw upon life experiences I suppose.
6. What did you think of the original version and the released version? (OHM)
Well, I really love both. To be honest, I'm having a hard time remembering Blender, but I recall loving Stretch.
7. But do you get money from the studio everytime the show comes on? (Entourage)
I think so. I don't know how much.
8. We Panic Agents need a plan of action. What exactly will being one involve? Passing out fliers/cds? Passing out questionnaires at shows? Or maybe we can get a petition or drive going for a good cause (such as aids research, drug rehabilitation, care of disabled, feeding the homeless)?
Yes! Of course there will be the obvious pass out stuff. Stickers around town etc. I would love anything that you guys come up with regarding good causes. I'll handle drug rehabilitation, as a portion of the proceeds from my book will go to that. Good thinking!
9. The intro kicks ass! Dave, who gets credit for that excellent work?
That is the work of Steve Isaacs.
10. Have/will you ever work with Jerry Cantrell? I think it would be an interesting combination of styles.
I have. He is amazing. We did a few Camp Freddy shows together.
Beautiful Day,
DN

Dave,
this site rocks. Slightly addictive - and a great alternative to work! Please keep it up! ;-D Hope to be lucky enough to see you live someday soon. Any plans to come to England? You're such a talented and creative person, don't ever change. Checked out WhitePony, a lot of hard work and dedication going on there. What an inspiration. Omnia vincit amor. Mx

I'm very excited about being a Panic Agent!
I think we're going to need t-shirts! (Although, I liked the trench coats and sunglasses, too) I have a buddy with a screener, so I think we should brainstorm ideas and I'll hit him up with the business!
I do have a question for Dave though, too: I was wondering if you still spend time or have plans to collaborate with Manson and/or Twiggy and if it's hard to be around people who are still notorious 'partiers' while being past that personally?
Thanks! Take care, everyone (Like Fabian, I should be working!)

Awesome artwork guys - you're a truly talented group! Maybe I'll donate a little something...
Tim - June 28th is a good birthday to have. I think John Elway has it too (or somebody like that, lol)
I spent some of yesterday chasing around our friend's 2 1/2 year old twins - crazy but fun. Are you good with kids Dave? Most of the time I have fun with them - the twins have a 4 year old cousin who I absolutely love - he is the coolest little boy.:-)

I up for being a Panic Agent too, I'm in South Wales.
So please keep me up to date, everyone. Of course, I check in each day, because I just love this place.
This is odd, I was going to ask if you'd put a pic of you as a kid on here. I'm on The Darklings (aka The Darkness site) and someone posted about an Italian Website with photos of musicians when they were young on it, and said it was a great site, so off i went, and there's a photo that says it's "Dave Navarro" It probably has been posted elsewhere, like those Flea ones are on the Official RHCP site, but here's the link:

I was also going to ask what software you are all using for the great artwork. So here goes: What software are you using for the great artwork?
Also what software are you using to make the loops?
Any mac friendly ones? I know there's garage band.
Anyone use that?

Hello to all.
Anything i can do in the u.k,you name it.
I was thinking of a t-shirt design, maybe a freaked out looking person pointing a smoking gun at a television he/she has just shot with the panic channel logo coming out of the shattered screen.

I'm so excited to be a Panic Agent.
Dave, what do you and Carmen do to keep in shape?
Posted by: Twisted Angel at August 11, 2004 10:29 AM
Is there any unreleased music you did with Jane's,deconstruction or RHCP that might see the light of day.

Good Morning Everybody!
Dave - do you like scary movies? Have you seen the Stephen King movie Storm of the Century? I was just watching it on the treadmill this am...very creepy...had to keep looking over my shoulder! LOL Do you have any favs?
Heavenly...the T-Shirt idea is a great one...there are plenty of awesome works of art right here on the blog that would look killer on a shirt!
Anyone speak to/hear from Luiz lately??? Geez...the way I worry about everyone....I guess I will be henceforth be known as "Panic Agent Mom" :0)

Dave, I really want to thank you for the opportunity of allowing all of us to post here on your site. I know it's been said a million times and almost sounds cliche, but I have made several really great connections, even here in the islands. I think we need to rename that popular game to 'Six degrees to Dave Navarro' LOL
Posted by: tiare at August 11, 2004 11:28 AM
well that is very cool, can't wait to get the book :)
lord, there are plenty of good causes... Habitat for Humanity in Eastern Africa or other places http://www.habitat.org/
for the homeless kids, http://www.standupforkids.org/
I lived in Serbia for 2 years and I know there's lots of human trafficking and sexual exploitation of women... not to mention a drug abuse crisis among youth. I don't trust any organizations there and one day I would really like to set up a community house/shelter or something for the homeless there. Oh and not to mention the hospitals which are in pretty bad shape...
What about the Animals? There's lots of no-kill shelters we can donate to and maybe even adopt a bunch of pets or get people to. There are organizations like the World Wildlife Fund as well.

Oh! Those baby pics of Flea are absolutely darling!
That's only half the picture of Dave, tho. You need to see the rest of it. There are some of baby Dave on, I think Veronica's site that are cute also. You must have some better ones, than what is online, Dave!
And there is one of Slash as a baby that is gorgeous, I downloaded it, let me see if I can find where it's hosted....

Dave,
Sup man!? I haven't posted i forever, as I'm just kind of digging watching the whole thing unfold here. Pretty groovy the energy you're putting into this.
I had a question about collaboration. I think I remember reading that you consider Billy Corgan a friend, and I know you are tight with Maynard, so through either of these guys have you had a chance to jam with James Iha? I've not heard him outside of SP, but what he did with them was most excellent for sure.
Rock on man. I totally want to be an agent for you here in Chicago. I'm in the city every day, and I get a lot of circulation at UIC. Sign me up!

Dave,
I need an honest answer and not a one line "It was great. Thank you" comment thrown back at me. But I have to ask: The Jane's Addiction of old (86-91) was probably some of the best music ever made. I think you have to get off on the fact that some people out here still listen to old shows you played back in some small club years ago. I have the old 88 Chicago show at the Cabaret Metro on cd and I've listened to it at least once a month for the last ten years. It blows me away. Gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it. It was purely magical. Do you ever look back at the 03 tour and feel like it was truly a shell of what it once was? Honestly, I didn't like Strays. It didn't have near the substance that the old music had. Do you not feel that Ezrin was a bad choice? Why did you decide not to use Dave Jereden? There's no need to soften up the respose. I'm sure Mr. Ezrin doesn't read this. And Dave, I hope the new project is great. You've got to remember something, YOU ARE A GUITAR SHREDDING ANIMAL. You need to be known for the talent you posess, not because of an MTV show. Explore the boundaries of true metal guitar. Deconstruction was a great example. That album is what being a guitar player is all about.

Hey Dave, before I say anything I just wanted to say that I absolutely love your work, you have been more than an inspiration to me,as a guitarist and as a person, and also that Trust No One got me through one of the worst times of my life.Especially 'Avoiding The Angel' (My ex-fiancee and I split up a year and a half ago,and Angel was my nickname for her),I also stopped using heroin because I saw what that did for you,and it gave me hope, and I am now happy to say I am clean almost 6 months...
Anyway,it took me a while to find out how to write to you,so YAY!Lookit me go.
I'd be honoured to be a Panic Agent too,as I feel I have a debt to you and anything I can do to help you out...
I tried to put the URL of a fansite for my band,Gia,but I think your server thought it was SPAM.I'd give you the address for the official site but it's still in development.
I'd like to make some kind of contact with you,to thank you, help you (Street Team, anything else...) and when I get some music recorded from Gia,maybe send it to you,see if you dig it.I'm not looking for any help with recognition or anything,as the band are already signed,so there's no ultirior motive here.
Oh,on a seperate note Maynard is my favourite singer, and you're my favourite guitarist,so imagine my surprise when I saw that cover of 'Kashmir'!I think I squealed!
If you like I'll try and send you the address some other way, just to see it if you have the time.E-Mail me or just post anything up on 6767.com if you want, but I've gotta go before the embarassment of writing a stupidly long post your hero might read sets in and I delete this whole thing.
Oh,and just in case you read this but can't write back, thanks Dave, for everything.

Hey Dave. Just wanted to say hello & see how you were doing. Also, is there anything I can do to help out regarding the Panic Agency? I live in Arkansas, so I'm not exactly in a good area to do like street stuff. But if you can think of anything I can do like online or whatever, just let me know. I'd love to help out. Take care & have a great day! :o)
Love always, Kelli
P.S. If you ever have time, can you check out my niece's website & sign her guestbook? She's only 3 years old, but it would be so awesome to have you check out her site. It would kinda be like an online autograph, so to speak, that she can look back on when she gets older. I would really appreciate it. ;o) http://nini-boochie.com/sheridan

Hello, Dave...
Hello, Community...
This is Agent Tygers here (aka Luiz).
I´m back from the dead (sort of). A lot of people seem to be going thru black days here, people losing friends to sucicide and stuff like that... Oh my... It´s heartbreaking. I´m not exactly having a picnic here so what can I say? I guess I´ll just send hugs to all my beloved community, especially to the more troubled ones among us...
Special thanks to those who wrote "Luiz, where are you?" Well, here I am. At least most of me is. Some of my soul seems to have disappeared. There´s very little soul left...But I however, have tigers a plenty for ya...
here they are:

http://us.f2.yahoofs.com/users/411a53f7za8c9916d/5d07/__sr_/4a78.jpg?phmDmGBBRTNXHUYr
Aren´t they lovely? They´re my pet beasts now.
Kyle and Pony... I´m not exactly inspired to do our lyrics collaboration right now, but I might try to cheat with the help of writer extraordinaire William Burroughs (God rest his soul!).
So I might use this to help me out:
http://web.ukonline.co.uk/gary.leeming/burroughs/cutup_machine.htm
That´s it for now. Thank you, Dave for being so kind and bringing us together.
Thank you community for being the coolest group of people.
Much love from
Luiz.

Luiz, im glad you back,Dude! no worries about our lyric collabiration. when you are feeling up to and when you feeling inspired you can join. maybe pony and I will write some stuff and once its done you can add to it once you are feeling better. but welcome back!
You know, this community has gone from being a "mob family" to being "sectret agents". whats next? maybe next we will become Jedi knights, lol. i hope so...lol
anyway all, party hard. dont do anything i wouldnt do. and if you do then name it after me!

Ok I have 3 more bios to put up and I will get them done tonight. Been a really busy day here at work so sorry for missing any chats and stuff. I just wanted to say thank you to the family for all the support I have been getting on my website. I need about 100 mb of offsite storage so I can place the spread album up for download. My site will simply not handle the traffic. I will be replacing the processor later this month which should help, but until then i am going to need a bit of help for a place to put it.

Kelli, I checked out your niece's site and signed her guestbook - she is very cute! You seem like a proud aunt :-)
Maria, no-kill shelters are a good cause, I spent over 100 volunteer hours at one of our local ones my junior year as a Civics requirment and I learned a lot. Lots of great animals to adopt. I wanted to get anotehr dog for our family but my mom said no way. He was a cute chocolate lab named Buster Brown (we did find him a great home though:-))

I know there are fees and whatnot associated with setting up sites and storage spaces. Is there a way that those of us who are in a position to help monetarily, can do so? Through PayPal or something? I'd really like to contribute where I can.

Three of the paintings are missing to a print place that went out of business. The rest are at my parent's house. I don't think my mother will ever forget the call from Sandy Bates.
Would love if you'd link my site. It's currently under construction.

Dave, did you ever get to meet Layne Staley, or Shannon Hoon(since he was on the same woodstock as you)? if so, then what are you comments on them?

Dave,
Thanks for throwing up my loops. I am humbled. For the experiment, I plan on using Sonic Foundry, its very loop friendly. Since you and some others are on Mac, will Sonic be a compatible format you can work with?
Question:
Does "Avoiding The Angel" have anything to do with the pics of "Angel" from 6767 Mach 1? Or is it a general observation from the "relationships" you had during that period of your life?
Thanks,
Mike C.

I am hysterical right now... my husband bought a Neumann tlm103 microphone tonight. He plugged it into his Roland VS880 with the "Vocal DJ" effect on (it's very bizarre), to try it out for the first time. He did this as I was telling him about the whole "Panic Agent" thing. This got him on a roll, and for the last 10 minutes instead of saying someting boring like "testing 1,2,3" he's been rhythmically chanting, "She is going to promote, going to promote, going to promote the panic..."

Hi Dave, Hi everyone..
I've been lurking here for about a week. What a cool group of people you are, and Dave, it's awesome the camraderie you inspire :)
I have the most amazing sweetheart of a child, she's 2 1/2 and do you know her favorite song? That "doggy song" Been Caught Stealin'. Does this baby have taste or what?
Dave, besides being an asthetically beautiful human being, you are refreshingly HUMAN. Down to earth and it's so nice to come here and see the interaction you have with your fans. Thanks for remembering the people that love you!
PS: I'm a 34 yo mom who would love to put a Panic Agent tshirt on as long as you make one for Christine Jenay my daughter and one of your youngest fans. She's cool before she even knows she's cool!

Sorry, had to post this...
my child is absolutely rocking right now to BCS...close your eyes and imagine this little one with her head bouncing, feet tappin, "mine all mine!" "don't pay for it!" it's hilarious :)

Dave have you ever had a panic attack?
Just wondering, because I've had thema few times over the years, but when I think of "The Panic Channel", it is somehow calming, as though you can let the panic feeling flow somewhere else. As people who have panic attacks know, it can feel like you are losing your mind because you can't make it stop...

Luiz... welcome back man! :D Cool tigers, by the way.
"whats next? maybe next we will become Jedi knights"
Sounds cool to me Kyle! I have to wonder though... if we become Jedi Knights... does that mean we have to trade in our unicorns for light sabers? LOL
Steve L... Welcome to the Family! :D
About the graphics... I'm working on a few myself, hoping they turn out the way I want them to. As for the software I use... Corel PhotoPaint is my favorite graphics program right now. Still learing new things I can do with it, as I refuse to sit and read the tutorials. LOL I'd rather figure it out myself... more fun that way. ;)
I agree about the t-shirt idea... I think it'd be way cool. Also agree that most of the graphics we've seen would look pretty damn good on a shirt.
Peace,
Agent Nitewing

awww...luiz you are so cute!! welcome back...we've all missed you!!...i like the tigers man...very very cool.
i'm watching three days right now...such a great movie/documentary...it's like a religious experience watchiing it (esp the Summertime Rolls and Three Days performances...such greatness...god i wish i could put into words how great watching this makes me feel)(i am at the part with the dave navarro cookies lol) dave...the more i watch this movie...the more i think you're awesome...you're not only incredibly good looking and hot...you're also extremely talented, kind, generous, and so giving to your fans. sometimes i can't find the words to express how much i respect and am in awe of you. you are genuinely a beautiful person inside and out. Out of curiousity...what is your opinion on the Three Days movie itself (not the relapse tour, just how the movie came out and how you're portrayed in it...and the cookies lol)? it's such a great documentary...and being that i've never been able to see jane's live...it's a real great thing for me to have as well as other fans. plus it's great to see behind the scenes as well
just wanted to say hi to everyone! join in the love and fun and say that this is a great "secret agent family" here...and to reiterate that lol. and to throw in some dave love...gotta have the dave love. it's just necessary! lol i'm probably coming across as a scary, dave-obsessed nut job lol...sorry bout that...just been cooped up all day in the thunderstorms and rain lol
adios everyone!

WhitePony- for some reason I can't get to your site?
Luiz- sorry to hear you're going through some tough times.. ((hugs)) to you. Don't forget that the sun will always come out after the rain.
Your tiger tatoos remind me of the tiger one Anthony Kiedis has on his arm. His is in color.
Caitlin- good to hear Buster Brown got a good home! My sister adopted a cat from a shelter after our family cat (who was 20 years old.. i had him since i was 8) passed away in March.
I have 2 zebra finches. they're so cute! The female laid 4 eggs but they didn't take.

LUIZ!! buddy youre back! the tigers kick ASS! there's this tattoo studio in town where i get all my tats done, and there's this awesome chick, her name is Gina Morrill, and one of her specialties is doing tigers. as we speak i am printing out a copy of the tigers to show her tomorrow.
"Your tiger tatoos remind me of the tiger one Anthony Kiedis has on his arm. His is in color."
what?! anthony has a tiger?! where the hell have i been? i've always loved his native american tattoos, especially since my stepdad is half apache (fyi: anthony says in johnny kick a hole in the sky that he has "apache blodd in his heart" but he really doesnt, his mom is comanche) and steve (stepdad) always tells me about how anthony's mom got so mad at steve because he was telling anthony about the native american history, like Crazy Horse and Wounded Knee, and anthony's mom told him that was the past and not to get into it... i guess she had just inspired about 1/4 of the chili peppers early stuff, huh?
ok anyway, i'm tired, it's 2am for me, just worked the late shift, and luiz buddy, i think im going to have to spend this shift's paycheck for a nose piercing in your and dave's honor. hey, at least its a new reason to have a new piece of shiny metal for the sun to glimmer off of...

Good morning everyone! Dave, another fitness related question for you if you don't mind. I'm looking to add some size to my sorry looking legs. Any recommendations for exercises that you find to be effective? On a much different note, I'm taking my fiance' to see Prince tonight for her birthday. She absolutely adores the man. I've never really much been into his music, but I will not deny his talent. In any event, I am looking forward to this evening...should be a wonderful time. Everyone have a beautiful day!
Posted by: Brad at August 12, 2004 03:20 AM
hey guys, im sorry i wont be able to be a "panic agent" myself, i have way to much to do. I'm constantly in and out, so i dont think that i would be able to create the required panic.
BUT, i have an alternative... there are a few kids that i know, they absolutely love you, and they are so mature for their age... im pretty sure i can get them to hand out stuff, they are always over here borrowing my cds and making me do their hair for parties. they are all 15, i think, maybe one is 14... i cant remember, but theyre cool kids.
so, what i'm getting to is: is there an age requirement for this deal? get back to me, because im sure they would love to do it.

Good morning to all.Thank you so much to Cori,Tiare and Nitewing for your welcome, made me really happy.Hope your day is a great one.
Dave,i read here a question about what happens if a band splits before their contract to the record lable is fulfilled,it would be really cool if a complete Jane's gig was released, maybe split into 2 volumes, that would be 2 albums out of the way.I would buy it for sure.I tend to listen to live music more, its more spontaneous.
Posted by: Steve L at August 12, 2004 06:21 AM
Is it true that someone went into rehab around the time of all the show cancellations from the Jane's camp?
I thought I had heard that a few months back, but have seen no official reports, so it could be completely false.
dunno.

It´s cool to see there are other people who like tigers out there...!
Allow me to share some of my sources of feline inspiration with you then...
1) William Blake - The Tyger
Tyger, Tyger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?
And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears
And water'd heaven with their tears,
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
Tyger, Tyger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

Symmetry, that´s why I put one on each arm...

A blind writer (what a strange paradox) obssessed with, among other things, TIGERS and MIRRORS (that´s the effect I get when I put my arms together).
PAPERDOVE - go get your metal and be sure to send us pictures afterwards!
STEPH - thank you for being so sweet!
DAVE - thank you very very much for everything!
Much love to all,

Hi All,
Dave, you said you like the phenomenon that goes with the crop circles, well check out this site
http://www.cropcircleconnector.com/2004/2004.html
(scroll down to the bottom of the page) its got all the crop circles created in the Uk in 2004, some of them are just amazing, I also think the Panic Channel Symbol would make a wicked crop circle.
Have a good day everyone!

Dana and fam,
Yeah the site is down still / again. I believe it has something to do with the firewall software i installed on it last night to prevent this from happening again. I hope to get it straightened out tonight. It won't even let me remote in to try to fix it.
Cori, my costs that I am putting into running the site is mainly my time. I paid 30 bucks for 2 years of the domain. I run my own server which saves me money, but can lead to problems like I am running now. I will probally be spending some money to upgrade the machine its hosted on. I am doing this for dave and for the community. It is not nessesary to send me money to help out.

Actually, the trace of Native American blood Anthony has is from his dad's (Blackie) side. He's a mut. :)
From his dad's side: Lithuanian, French, Dutch, Irish, English, little bit of Spanish, bit of Mohawk Indian (native american)
From his mom's side: English, Irish, Scottish, and a little German.
Yes I am a freak that knows too much about the RHCP. The tiger tatoo is fairly recent.
