I thought that it wasn't as painful as period pains when I had mine done, although my boyfriend at the time passed clean out when they were in the middle of his.

just a few things to say today:

1. Thanks Freak and Luiz for that awesome pic...it's a great pic with all the blue (i love blue) and Dave getting really into his playing.

2. An earlier thread in the last post made mention of Dave being hispanic etc. To be honest, I've never thought of him as anything but a kick ass hot guitar player who's also intelligent and cool. I guess that's cause unlike some other celebrities (cough J. Lo cough) he doesn't have to market himself as something, and can just go on pure talent alone. he has made his name on his talent, not his heritage, and i truly truly admire that!

3. and a question for dave if he has the time...back in 2002 i think...MTV aired a special on you and carmen called "love story" or something like that...do you know if it'll ever see the light of day again either on MTV or via DVD/VHS? thanks for your time and attention.

I also want to congratulate you on your happiness. I know from the old days that although I liked your site, it was quite dark which seemed to reflect... shit what's that word... You know what I mean.

I haven't posted a lot here, but I got a couple things to add to this:

1) It's really good to see so much positivity and community goin' on here! Gotta say this is one community I'm proud to be a part of... all of ya just freakin' ROCK! :D

2) Dave... wanted to say thanks for everything you do, man. I've learned so much from you about not only playing guitar but about the business in general just by watching you and reading your answers to these questions. I'm getting into a position shortly to really get serious about my music and get something good going, so the more I learn, the better it's gonna be. ;)

Also want to give you props on staying clean and being so willing to talk about that time in your life. Heroin was my drug of choice too. I'm coming up on 20 years clean myself, and it's easier now, but it's still a day at a time... and like you said a few weeks back... even after all this time, sometimes you do dream about it.

3) A question Dave: I'm about to move to Chicago in a month or so... and I need some serious cover-ups done on a couple of old tats... had these for about 10 years and I just want them changed into something that mean something to me... already know what I want. Any artists or shops you'd recommend in the Chicago area?
