6767.com was begun by Dave in 1998.
The first year of 6767.com is the year documented in Don't Try This At Home, the photo booth book co-authored with Neil Strauss. The site was a place where Dave would offer samples of his latest creations, be it music, video, or writing under the guise of 'ramblings'. It was a navigational maze with many side streets. You had to have a very curious mouse to discover it all. Discovering something new was part of the 6767 experience. The site was always changing, always evolving. That was the other part of the fun. It kept pulling you back, begging to be explored some more. Keeping up on his personal responses in 'The Tangled World Wide Web' was definitely a highlight. If anything, 6767.com filled a void. When it 'died' a few years ago, the internet was just not as fun a place as it used to be. I am so very happy that it is back. I think many would be surprised to know just how much of the site Dave did himself. The manupulation of graphics, digitizing video clips, coding by hand...so much of it was Dave's work.
